기계적인 잔류응력 이완방법의 원리와 기계적 성질에 미치는 영향

  • MSR 처리를 실제구조물에 적용하기 위해서 잔류응력과 기계적성질에 대하여 조사해 본 결과 다음의 결론을 얻었다. (1) MSR 처리는 소성변형을 유발시켜 높은 인장잔류응력을 감소시키는데 유효하며, 잔류응력이 낮은 부위에 대해서는 잔류응력 재배치에 따른 응력치의 변화가 수반된다. (2) 잔류응력 감소량은 MSR 하중에 비례하여 증가 한다. (3) 모재의 항복응력보다 낮은 하중으로 MSR 처리를 하면 충격치의 감소는 무시할 정도이지만 모재의 항복응력보다 높은 하중으로 행하면 응착금속에서 충격치의 감소가 현저하다. (4) MSR 처리를 하게되면 항복응력이 높아지고, 잔류응력이 감소해서 선형의 응력-스트레인의 관계를 가지는 범위가 넓어져서 구조적으로 안전한 상태가 된다.

A Preliminary Study on Reduction of Shrinkage Stress in Concrete Slabs (콘크리트 슬래브 건조수축 응력 감소에 관한 초기연구)

  • Volume of concrete slab changes by variations of temperature and moisture after its placement. Shrinkage due to evaporation causes tensile stress in the slab when contraction of the slab is restrained by its self weight, friction with subbase, and etc. Actual tensile stress caused by the shrinkage was less than theoretically predicted stress according to previous studies. It was the stress reduction due to visco-elastic property of the early-age concrete slab partially restrained. In this study, strains of restrained circumferential, unrestrained circumferential, and unrestrained square pillar concrete specimens were measured to investigate stress reduction of the specimens with age of concrete. Elastic modulus of the concrete was measured at the age of 1, 3, 7, 14, 28 days and penetration test was performed. The stress reduction was calculated by input the test results into theoretical equations suggested by previous researchers. The stress reduction of the restrained concrete specimens will be applied to design of concrete pavements based on results of the study.

The Influence of Reduction of Vertical Stress on the Behaviour of Piles Subjected to Negative Skin Friction (수직응력의 감소가 부마찰이 작용하는 말뚝의 거동에 미치는 영향)

  • Vertical soil stress near a pile subjected to negative skin friction (NSF) may be reduced due to shear transfer at the pile-soil interface. A three-dimensional finite difference analysis has been performed to clarify the influence of vertical and horizontal stress reductions on the pile behavour. In addition, a simple equation has been proposed to estimate vertical stress reduction of the soil near the pile. The vertical and horizontal stresses are reduced by substantial amount compared to corresponding stress components at the Greenfield condition. The horizontal extent of vertical stress reduction of the soil near the pile is rather limited to about up to 4-8 D, where D is the pile diameter. The findings from the current research indicate that widely used $\beta$-method may result in over-estimation of dragload (compressive force on piles due to NSF) and hence stress reduction needs to be incorporated in the original equation.

  • Electro-chemical aspects of stress corrosion on the mild steels when immersed in the $5\%\;H_2SO_4$ solution and charged with 100mV and 100mA were discussed. The main results of the experiment are follows; 1. The weight loss by corrosion was concerned with the applied stress. and the larger the applied stress, the greater the weight loss. 2. Reduction of corrosion stress was a factor of inverse proportion to the applied stress. 3. Corrosion began at first on the parts of impurities concentrated and the grain boundaries, and gradually developed and spreaded out. 4. The materials of unsteady structure deformed of space lattice by the high stress or work-hardening showed less reduction of corrosion stress.

  • A finite element method was employed fort thermal and stress analyses of an IGBT module of 3-phase full bridge. The effect of material parameters such as substrate material, substrate area, solder thickness on the temperature and stress distributions of the module packages has been investigated. Thermal analysis results have also been compared by setting of boundary conditions such as equivalent heat transfer coefficient or constant temperature at a base metal surface of the package. The increase of ceramic substrate area up to 3 times does little contribution to the reduction(8.9%) of thermal resistance, while contributed a lot to the reduction(60%) of thermal stress. Thicker solder resulted in higher thermal resistance but did slightly reduced thermal stresses. It is revealed by the stress analysis that maximum stress was induced at the region of copper pads which are bonded with ceramic substrate.

  • In this paper, a stress function-based approach was proposed to analyze the reduction of free-edge peeling stress in smart composite laminates using piezoelectric actuator under bending load. Electro-mechanically coupled governing equation was obtained by complimentary virtual work principle. The stress state was solved by the generalized eigenvalue procedure. The free-edge peeling stress of smart composite laminates was reduced by the piezoelectric actuation. The reduction rate of peeling stress in cross-ply composite laminate is larger than that in angle ply composite laminate.

  • 본 논문에서는 자동차용 Battery Post Terminal Clamp의 응력감소를 위한 설계에 있어, ANSYS Workbench 11.0을 이용한 유한요소 구조해석을 하였다. 체결 시 볼트 조임에 따라 가해지는 힘에 따른 응력집중 및 변형을 고려하였고, Battery Post Terminal Clamp에 응력이 집중되어 소성변형이 예상되는 부분에 대한 형상을 변형 하였을 때, 발생 응력이 극한 인장 강도 이하로 감소됨을 확인하였다.

  • 활성금속 브레이징 방법으로 스테인레스 스틸과 질화규소를 접합하여 기계적 특성 및 유한요소법을 사용하여 접합체에서 발생되는 잔류응력의 크기를 조사하였다. 고강도 접합체를 제조하기 위하여 연성금속인 Cu 및 Cu/Mo 적층체를 중간재로 사용하였으며, 중간재의 두께 및 구조에 따라 접합체에서 발생되는 잔류응력의 크기 및 분포가 접합강도에 미치는 영향에 관하여 조사하였다.중간재인 Cu의 두께가 0.2mm 일대 세라믹스에 발생되는 최대 잔류응력의 크기가 급격히 감소하였으며, 최대 접합강도가 나타났다. Cu/Mo 다층 중간재를 사용한 접합체에서는 Cu/Mo 두께비가 감소할수록 접합강도는 증가되었다. 스테인레스 스틸/질화규소 접합체에서 Cu/Mo 중간재의 사용은 Cu 중간재 사용보다 접합강도를 증가시키는데 효과적이었으며, 최대 접합강도는 450Mpa 정도이었다. Cu/Mo 중간재를 사용한 접합체에서는 Mo에 최대 인장방향의 잔류응력이 발생하여 강도 측정시 Mo의 지배적인 소성변형으로 잔류응력이 감소되어 접합체의 접합강도를 향상시키는 것으로 생각된다.

A Simulation Study on the Stress Distribution of the Transplanting Part of Artificial Knee Joint due to Elastic Modulus (탄성계수에 따른 무릎 인공관절 이식 부품의 응력분포에 관한 시뮬레이션 연구)

  • This study analyzes the transplanting parts used as the graft of artificial knee joint. The low elastic titanium alloy is applied to clear up the stress shield effect. The simulation analysis is carried about the stress distribution of the transplanting parts. The correlation with frame is inferred and investigated through the equivalent stress distribution of titanium alloy due to elastic modulus. The stress of the transplanting parts decreases as the elastic modulus decreases at the first time. It decreases greatly near the stress of 46 GPa and increases again. Because the stress happened at the transplanting parts decreases, more stress is applied on the frame. This phenomenon is the stress shield effect. The result of this study can be thought to be necessary to develop the safe design of composite material.

A Study on the Reinforcement Effects of Fully-Grouted Rock Bolts (전면접착형 록볼트의 보강효과에 관한 연구)

  • The axial stress in rock bolt, the shear stress at the bolt-grout interface and the neutral point are analyzed to understand the mechanical behavior of rook bolt. To analyze the support effects of rock bolt in various geological conditions, numerical analyses are performed with regard to bolt spacing and bolt length in several geological conditions and tunnel sizes. Through the numerical analyses, the distributions of maximum tensile stress and shear stress are determined. And the excavation width of underground opening affects the position of the neutral point. In the circular opening supported by pattern bolting, the increase of confining pressure, the reduction of plastic zone, and that of ground displacement are determined by using the radial stress increase ratio, the plastic zone reduction ratio and the displacement reduction ratio respectively. The results of this study can be applied to a practical tunnel design through understanding of the trends of these support effects.
