Melody Note - Music Score Editor and Play System (악보작성 및 재생 시스템)

  • As the electronic processing of music gradually is developed, there has been growing interest in automatical input of music. As a result, various researches which input music in the computer has been studied. However, previous studies have drawbacks that only the experts can do it. In other words, if beginners would like to use traditional production program of music scores than prior knowledge is required. To resolve this, we propose system painting music scores automatically using a bandwidth of soundsource, after extracting the voice sounds created by amateurs. The System provides amateurs with convenience so that they can compose. As well as, the System provides the ability to play music that produced by the computer. By using the system, amateurs can compose using voice and simple system handling. And, they can make a music that plays desired instruments.

  • Teachers' cognitive understanding of subject matter content have direct impact on the quality of students learning. In order to understand this, we need to investigate the relationships between the teachers' level of knowledge about the content and the instruction teacher provide for students. Professional development programs for computer education teachers include courses in computer science, curriculum studies, and the application of computers in the classroom. Effective teachers, however, have expertise in the subject matter content, know curriculum, and understand contextual knowledge for teaching computers in the classrooms. Although computer education have evolved for last 20 years, we have not yet made significant progress on researching "what" is the professional knowledge of computer teachers, and "how" they could be trained. Teacher's knowledge includes pedagogical and contextual knowledge of teaching the specific subject. The purpose of this paper is to understand the professional knowledge of computer teachers, and the adoption of PCK (pedagogical content knowledge). As a result of this paper, I hope to initiate further discussions and researches on PCK and its' implication for computer teachers and teacher preparation programs in Korea.

  • AI 분야는 기존 분석적(Analytical) AI에서 점차 자가학습을 통한 새로운 디지털 이미지, 영상, 음성, 텍스트, 코드 등을 만드는 Generative AI로 너무 빠르게 진화하고 Generative AI 영역을 두고 세계 각 기업들이 비즈니스의 우위를 선점하기 위해 개발 속도에 열을 올리고 있다. 이미 Generative AI는 다양한 부분에서 활용되고 있는데 음악, 문학, 미디어 등 새로운 창작물을 생성할 뿐만 아니라 향후 지식경제의 생산성을 획기적으로 향상시킬 것이다. 이런 Generative AI가 AI 휴먼 서비스 발전에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해 논하고자 한다.

  • 위키는 사용자 누구나 문서를 생성하고 수정이 가능하여 지식관리 도구로 활용이 되고 있다. 하지만 컴퓨터가 위키 시스템에 축적된 지식을 재사용하기 위해서는 문서의 구조를 인식하고 처리하는 과정을 거쳐야 한다. 본 연구에서는 문서의 메타데이터를 정의하여 문서를 구성하고 해당 메타데이터에 따른 입력 방식을 제안하여 데이터에 대한 유효성을 검증할 수 있게 하였다. 그리고 문서를 메타데이터에 따라 분해하여 저장하는 방식을 통하여 타 응용에서 의미 있는 데이터의 재사용이 가능하도록 하였다. 제안된 방식은 음악을 주제로 한 위키 시스템인 WikiMusic을 통해 구현하고 관련 연구와 비교하여 평가하였다.

  • Digital Technology actively utilized in all spheres by rapid changes in information and knowledge demands transformations not only in the sociocultural and educational spheres but also specifically in the field of arts education. Digital Technology becomes a challenging factor for the field of arts education. In this study purposed a new teaching-learning approach method in arts education, called "Music Technology-Based Learning"(hereafter, MTBL), which is to, first, take interdisciplinary approaches combining various subjects in the field of arts education. In the case study was conducted to examine the educational effects of the MTBL approach to the liberal arts course in university: mind maps derived from 2 sessions (pre-class and post-class), evaluation sheets regarding self-directed learning and in-depth interviews with ten voluntary learners after the class were used as methods for data collection. The result of case study shows positive changes in the terms of the degrees of emotional sensibilities of the learners. Moreover, the research confirmed the potential of MTBL as a new teaching and learning methodology in art education.

  • The study was aimed at finding an effective use of para-languages, which are important to communicate the meaning of the korean choral music. Para-language is a nonverbal communication that contributes to the delivery of a more expressive language. In choral music, vocalization and diction are important para-languages. Until now, the conductors emphasized vocalization rathe than diction while focusing musical expression in chorus. However, vocalization and diction are not distinct. This study suggested effective choral vocalization and diction technique through the convergence of experience as conductor and knowledge of communication theory.

  • In this study it is intended to develop the ontology which can express the relation between objects with emphasis on the structural representation of semantics. Its interoperability with other kinds of previous ontology and metadata was also considered so that the developed ontology may be applicable to the real situation. The ABC Ontology can get extended into another field where the application of the concept of event is Possible, for ABC Ontology Provides the fundamental framework on the axis of event. In this study it is Music where ABC Ontology can be applied properly, which results in creating Music Ontology. Music Ontology Provides the infrastructure of knowledge for reasoning of Potential meaning as well as the simple semantic connection of terms. The extended model of ABC Ontology has been developed by applying Music Ontology, which is the domain ontology and conveys meaning, to ABC Ontology that represents the whole framework. The representation of conceptual relation in ABC Ontology turns into the association of the framework and meaning in the extended model of ABC Ontology, with reasoning rules which are typical in ontology Also, interoperability of the extended model of ABC Ontology is examined in consideration of co-operating with metadata different from those in it.

Analysis on Policy Discourse of Female Traditional Musician in Joseon Era (문화정책 관점에서의 조선시대 여악에 대한 담론 연구)

  • Korean traditional women artists are placed in dual suffering from unequal rights in terms of gender and misrecognition endowed by historical legacy. There has been no clear cut definition but interchangeable adoption of various terms such as Yeo-ak, Yeo-gi, and Gisaeng even in the study of music theory and history itself. Study on female musician has been mostly performed on the basis of music theory and history so that one sided discourse on female traditional artist has survived and aggravated its connotation during the colonial ages and modernization. Envisioning traditional female artist as instrumentalizing their body and status as artist resulted in crucifying victims of sexual harassment is one recent example. This study is an attempt to collect knowledge on the various layers of discourse about the status and role of female traditional artist. This is a first stage of analysis covering the period Joseon dynasty where original and official records regarding female traditional artists remains until today. The findings are that policy discourse are to be classified as politico-ideological layer, music theoretical layer, and socio-political layer. It is to be clarified in the future which layer has the most sustaining influence to the present and why.

Analyzing Core Competence for Culture Contents Industry Ecosystem -based on Kyunggi Region- (경기도 문화콘텐츠산업의 지역착근성 기반 산업생태계 핵심역량 분석)

  • This study examined the relative industry competence of Kyunggi regional area. The LQ index was applied to estimate the competence of 11 culture contents. In the case of the amount of revenue, cartoon, characters, knowledge information, and publishing showed a relative high competence over LQ 1.0. Regarding the number of companies, cartoon, music, game, character, and knowledge information showed LQ of more than 1.0. The criteria of the number of employees indicated publishing, cartoon, game, character industry to be significant. The common LQ index result of 3 criteria suggested cartoon and character industry to be influential. This indicates that the flow among knowledge, information and person in a regional industry cluster are most important for promoting industry core competence.

  • 소셜 미디어는 대중들의 관심있는 생각, 정보, 이슈들을 공유하는 공개 미디어 플랫폼이다. 이를 통해 개인의 관심있는 텍스트, 이미지, 동영상, 음악 등 다양하고 거대한 콘텐츠가 재생산되고 공유되었다. 콘텐츠의 중심이 채널기반 단향 방송 중심에서 사회 다수를 위한 양방향 소셜 환경으로 이동한 것이다. 소셜 미디어의 장점은 관심사나 관계의 내용을 공유함으로써 양방향 의사 소통이 가능하고, 상호 연관성에 따라 새롭게 정의된 의미있는 정보를 기반으로 콘텐츠를 제공하는 소셜 서비스가 가능하다는 점이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 지난 수년간 인터넷과 방송 환경에서 방송과 웹 콘텐츠를 접목시키기 위해 개발된 다양한 기술 및 서비스에 대해 살펴본다. 또한, 기존의 다양한 웹 콘텐츠를 분석하여 소셜 브로드 캐스팅 서비스의 운영을 지원하는 자동 지식 기반 구축시스템에 대해 소개한다.
