This study aimed to analyze convergently the result of the health check-up of the military workers at age of 40, a life transition period in Korea. Data of 4898 military workers who took a health check-up in 2015 was obtained from the national health insurance service and we conducted secondary analysis. As a results, the metabolic syndrome group had a greater current smoking rate, higher number of cigarettes smoked per day, longer period of smoking and higher amount of alcohol consumed. Also, the group scored higher on BMI and had a higher level of total cholesterol, AST, ALT and GGT. In conclusion, as the military workers at age of 40 usually perform important duties, effective programs of reducing smoking and drinking alcohol are needed for their age group, In order to develop health management programs, prior investigation to take into consideration specific age and military rank is necessary.

Depression and mental illness across all age groups, and steady increasing in suicide rate are our major social problems which cause dramatically decreasing government competitiveness. While Korean government has implemented various policies to improve mental health and prevent suicide, it faces revealing issues in progress on implementation and referral management systems. The current research examined domestic and foreign cases to understand the actual status and directivity of ICT convergence plan in terms of mental health. The United States and the United Kingdom have provided convergent ICT service, telepsychiatric care to senior citizens in rural areas, children and adolescents, socially disadvantaged class, etc. In Korea, emergency-notice devices are installed to prevent suicide for single elderly people, and diverse mobile health devices are developing to cure depression and Alzheimer's disease. ICT convergent mental health care service is needed to save socioeconomic costs and realize universal welfare for an aging society. Social consensus on sharply conflict issues, medical law and medical devices about telepsychiatry service, effectiveness studies on users' unique psychiatric characteristics by life cycle, and region-specialized strategies for the least densely populated rural regions with lower access to medical care should be considered.

The aim of this study is to suggest the effective protocol to manage the obese children using the data based on PAPS(Physical Activity Promotion System). In the school, there are a lot of efforts for the management of increasing obese children through the data obtained from PAPS which is conducted annually includes the assessment of obesity. But the follow-up of obese children was not effective due to the workload of teachers and the lack of available manpower. For more active and systematic management, the combination of a smart device transfer in the existing ways for facilitating access to the information is more effective. The information of obese children such as fitness, health, and obesity automatically will be sent in web-PAPS, And when personalized exercise prescription, proper nutrition education for obesity are shared with their parent, it will be more effective in weight management.

Our society is aging rapidly. In this super-aged society, the increase in healthcare costs are considered a national problem that undermines the sustainability of social security. Various services for healthcare for the elderly have been promoted to address this. However, most of them have focused on healthcare after the outbreak of chronic diseases and lack preventive healthcare. Most of the preventive healthcare projects are only pilots. In this paper, the current status of health care services for senior citizens at home and abroad was analyzed and based on this, the limitations and improvements were analyzed to propose the establishment of IoT-based Total Silver Care Center. IoT-based Total Silver Care Center may be conveniently monitored the health status of the elderly through various sensors, medical devices, and smart bands. And based on this, it can improve the quality of nursing services through time-saving and work efficiency of nursing providers. In addition, health care interventions may be provided in a timely manner if there is a change in the health status of users. And real-time imaging systems can help overcome mental difficulties.

This study was intended to prepare the basic data required for the development of oral products for the patient with diabetes by analyzing the relation between diabetes and oral health and the actual condition of oral care from the senior citizens diagnosed with diabetes out of the senior citizens over 65. In this study, 8 senior citizens who visited the senior welfare center in D city, were organized into the group of 4 senior citizens and the interview approximately for 40 minutes per group was conducted. In the results of this study, 5 core topics of 'Diabetes and Oral Health", 'Oral Discomfort', 'Oral Care Method', 'Visit to Dentist' and 'Demand for Oral Care' were drawn. For the relation between diabetes and the oral health, the most of research subjects answered that they heard about it for the first time, They answered that for the oral health care, they brushed the teeth using toothpaste 3 ~ 4 times a day and for the visit to dentist, they visited the dentist only when they had oral problem. For what is necessary for oral care, they answered that they wish that the oral care education customized for patient with diabetes and diverse oral care products such as toothpaste, etc. would be developed. Considering the results of this study, the development of oral care management program and the development of oral products in future are deemed to be necessary.

IT convergence has been approached from national strategic dimension with an aim to drive forward technology development and industrial advancement in other fields by taking the IT to the next advanced level, and has been the focus of intensive investment of research resources. Against this backdrop, IT convergence has emerged as a cutting-edge convergence industry that helps spur development of new growth engine being pushed forward at inter-ministerial level, as well as help turn the mainstay industries into high value-added industries and create new IT industry. Health-related convergence services have shifted its focus towards the exercise/sports and rehabilitation-oriented entertainment experiential industry away from conventional disease prevention and control-centric treatment/therapy technology industry. Thus, this study was intended to examine the trends of IT convergence technological development related to health exercise and present recommendation on the future course for development of major technologies and advancement of convergence industry, given the importance assigned to IT convergence.

한국사회는 전통적인 대가족제도가 급속히 해체되고 저 출산 및 고령화로 인한 고령층의 1인 가정의 수가 급속히 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 고령자 1인 가구에 대한 다양한 서비스와 고도화가 필요한 이유이다. 본 연구에서는 1인 가정을 대상으로 IoT 기기를 통한 다양한 PHR 생체 신호와 환경정보을 수집하고 수집된 정보를 바탕으로 건강상태를 모니터링하는 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 의료기기에서 제공되는 개방형 PHR 데이터의 융합으로 정보 분석 및 예측능력을 강화하고 고독사 상황파악 및 방지 프로그램을 이행할 수 있는 기본 인프라을 구축하고자 한다. 또한 중장년층의 미래에 대한 불확실성을 제거하고 사회복지서비스의 확대를 위한 정책적 과제의 논의적 목적을 가지고 있다. 본 연구의 결과물은 사회 소외 계층에 대한 서비스 확대와 국민의 의료환경 개선에 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

With the development of next IT convergence technology and the construction of infrastructure for personalized healthcare services, the importance of services based on user's preference is being spotlighted. Healthcare service have been progressed as treatment and management for specific diseases and dietary nutrition managements to customers according to the increase in chronic patients. In this paper, we proposed the personalized dietary nutrition contents recommendation using the hybrid filtering for managing health. The proposed method uses the hybrid filtering through combining the collaborative filtering and the image filtering in order to reinforce the special trend that recommendation provides similar contents. We developed the Web application for this purpose, and experimented with it to verify the logical validity and effectiveness. Accordingly, the satisfaction and the quality of services will be improved the healthcare by recommending the dietary nutrition contents. This evaluation found that the difference of satisfaction by service was statistically meaningful and showed high satisfaction.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between oral health behaviors and periodontal diseases in adult obese people. Using the original data of the second phase of the 6th National Health and Nutrition Survey, the final 4381 adults were extracted. We analyzed frequency and technical statistics and chi - square test and multiple logistic regression analysis using SPSS statistical program to confirm the association between body mass index, number of brushing, drinking, smoking and oral health status and behavior. As a result, the prevalence of periodontal disease decreased as the number of toothbrushing increased, and the prevalence of periodontal disease increased as the body mass index increased. Through this study, obesity, a global health issue, should be more concerned with oral care and develop oral health management programs.

The purpose of this study is to compare factors influencing the quality of life of osteoarthritis patients in urban and rural areas. The data were derived from the sixth Korea national health and nutrition examination survey in 2014 and analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistics version 21.0 software package considering complex samples analysis. The subjects of study were 599 adults with osteoarthritis over 50 years. The results of the study show that the factors affecting the urban patients' quality of life are healthcare coverage types, knee joint pain, knee ankylosis, hip joint pain, low back pain, limited activities, and subjective health status. The rural patients' quality of life are influenced by knee joint pain, limited activities, and alcohol consumptions. Therefore, the government should create differentiating strategies and approaches, including community rehabilitation programs, to improve the quality of life of urban and rural patients with osteoarthritis.
