Development of Convergence Education Program for Elementary School Gifted Education Based on Mathematics and Science (초등학교 영재교육을 위한 수학·과학 중심의 융합교육 프로그램 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop STEAM program for gifted education by combining educational contents of humanities, arts, engineering, technology, and design into various subjects, focusing on mathematics-science curriculum of elementary school. The achievement standards and curriculum contents of elementary mathematics-science curriculum were analyzed while considering 2015 revised national curriculum. And then, a 16 class-hour convergence education program consisting of 3-hour block time was developed by applying the STEAM model with 4 steps. The validity of the program developed through this process was verified, and four educational experts evaluate whether the program can be applied to the elementary school. Based on the evaluation results, the convergence education program was finalized. As a result of implementing the gifted education program for mathematics-science, students achieved the objectives and values of convergence education such as creative design, self-directed participation, cooperative learning, and interest in class activities (game, making). If this convergence education program is applied to regular class, creative experiential class, or class for gifted children, students can promote their scientific creativity, artistic sensitivity, design sence, and so on.

  • In this paper, we design a semantic-based syllabus template including learning ontologies. A syllabus has been considered as a important blueprint of teaching in universities. However, the current syllabus has no importance in real world because most of all syllabus management systems provide simple functionalities such as, creation, modification, and retrieval. In this paper, our approach consists of definition of hierarchical structure of syllabus and semantic relationships of syllabuses, formalization of learning goals, learning activity, and learning evaluation using Bloom's taxonomy and design of learning subject ontologies for improving the usability of syllabus. We prove the correctness of our proposed methods according to implementing a real syllabus for JAVA programing course and experiments for retrieving syllabuses.

  • This study purposes to suggest a next generation research and education environment which is possible by the linkage of two sectors based on cyberinfrastructure. It is to design a new research-education linkage system which can apply the results of R&D to the higher education in natural science and engineering areas. literatures were reviewed on new paradigms of R&D triggered by the advent of cyberinfrastrcuture. A couple of overseas and domestic cases of such paradigm were introduced. With the backgrounds of case studies and theoretical models, a new research-education linkage environment system was suggested. Specially e-AIRS system was introduced as an example of new model in Korea. In addition, some policy issues were discussed as related to the successful promotion of such programs.

A Converging Approach on the Effect of Stock Repurchases on Cost of Equity (자사주 매입이 자기자본비용에 미치는 영향에 대한 융합적 연구)

  • Firms employ one of two stock repurchasing methods, either direct open market repurchase or indirect repurchase through trust contracts. Since these two methods have some regulatory differences, managers of firms may use a repurchasing method as a signal to convey the information to the market. Therefore, this study investigates the relationship between stock repurchasing methods and implied cost of equity of firms. The results show that there is a significant and negative relationship between stock repurchase announcement and cost of equity. In addition, the implied cost of equity for firms employing direct open market repurchase is significantly lower than those of firms that use indirect repurchase method. Overall, the market accurately reflects the information conveyed by two stock repurchasing methods into cost of equity of firms.

  • The purpose of this study is to find the relation between the detailed categories of the self-efficacy of workers in the field of railroad signaling and the detailed categories of their fatigue in the use of analysis of moment structure(AMOS) model. A self-administered questionnaire survey of workers in the field of railroad signaling had been conducted and a total of 341 copies were analyzed. This study had the assumption that their general self-efficacy and social self-efficacy would negatively influence their physical fatigue and mental fatigue. As a result, their general self-efficacy negatively influenced their physical fatigue and mental fatigue, whereas their social self-efficacy didn't influence their physical fatigue and mental fatigue. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the fatigue of the study subjects by enhancing corporate support to increase their general self-efficacy.

Convergence Study on The Structural Relation among Self control, Fairness, and Happiness (자기통제, 공정함, 행복 간 구조적 관계에 관한 융합연구)

  • The purpose of the present convergence study is to investigate the relationship among self control, fairness, and happiness. It is to determine whether fairness had a mediating role in the relationship between self control and happiness. Participants were 275 undergraduate students. Self control, fairness, and happiness scales were used. For data analysis, correlation analysis, factor analysis, structural equation modeling analysis were conducted. The present study used structural equation modeling to examine the relation among variables. The analyses revealed that the present data best fit the research model in which self control were directly associated with happiness and mediated by fairness(${\chi}^2(51)=91.723$, TLI=0.919 CFI=0.937 RMSEA=0.054). The results indicate that self control affect happiness directly. And also self control affect happiness indirectly by mediation of fairness. Self control had a positive effect on fairness and happiness. This suggests that it is important to have educational and psycho-social interventions to improve happiness of undergraduate students.

The Convergence Study of Nursing Students' Knowledge, Attitudes and Preventive Behaviors against MERS in South Korea (간호대학생의 메르스에 대한 지식, 태도, 감염예방행위 수행도의 융합적 연구)

  • MERS outbreak in Korea was related to healthcare-associated infections. The number of healthcare workers infected with MERS were 39, of which 15 were nurses. We investigated knowledge, attitudes and preventive behaviors against MERS in nursing students who will serve as future nurses. This is a cross-sectional study using a questionnaire survey. Data were collected from 350 nursing students from April to May 2016. As a result, there was a statistically significant positive correlation between attitudes and prevention behaviors against MERS. (r=.387, p <.001). The effect of knowledge and attitudes on preventive behaviors against MERS was analyzed by 15.2% of the explanatory power of regression model and statistically significant by regression equation (F = 31.081, p <.001). This study suggests that nursing students need convergence educational programs to improve their attitudes and preventive behaviors against infectious diseases such as MERS.

  • 기후변화에 따른 극한 기후의 시 공간적 변동성과 패턴의 이상변화가 가속화되고 있으며, 이에 따른 물 순환 특성의 변화는 이수, 치수, 환경 그리고 친수 등 다양한 분야에서도 예측할 수 없는 결과를 초래하고 있다. 특히, 치수 및 이수 등 국내 수자원 관리의 대부분을 담당하고 있는 다목적댐 운영에서도 기후변화에 따른 유입량의 불확실성 증가로 안정적인 용수공급에 대한 어려움이 점차 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 유역 내의 수문학적 반응은 기상 및 지표 수문 인자의 물리적 상호메카니즘에 의해 발생하게 된다. 특히, 강우, 기온, 습도, 바람 등 기상학적 인자들은 유역 내의 수문 변동성에 직 간접적으로 영향을 주는 대표적인 인자이며, 이들 기상인자의 변동 특성을 반영하기 위한 기후지수(Climate Index, CI)는 지표수문인자인 유출과의 상관관계 분석에 유용하게 활용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 낙동강 유역 다목적댐을 대상으로 AR5 RCP 시나리오 기반의 기상인자에 대한 기후지수(CI)를 산정하고 다목적댐 유입량과의 상관성을 분석하였다. 대상유역의 기상 및 유입량 관측자료(1976-2005)는 기상청과 국가수자원관리종합정보시스템(WAMIS)를 이용하였으며, AR5 RCP 시나리오 기반의 유입량 자료(2005-2099)는 통계적 기법(QDM)으로 상세화된 기상자료를 입력인자로 수문모형(PRMS)을 통해 산정하였다. 또한, 기후지수(CI)와 유출지수(Standardized Streamflow Index, SSI)의 상관성 분석을 위해 Pearson 적률상관 분석방법을 적용하였으며, 통계적 유의성 검증은 Student t 검정방법을 적용하였다. 본 연구의 방법론과 결과는 기후변화에 따른 다목적댐 안정적인 용수공급을 위한 다양한 기술개발 시 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

A Convergence Study on the Factor Influencing to Healthcare-Associated Infection Control Guidelines of Nursing Students (간호학생의 의료관련감염 관리지침 준수 영향요인에 관한 융합연구)

  • In this preliminary study exploring the development of an convergent educational program, we identified the factors that affect adherence to healthcare-associated infection (HAI) control guidelines. The data were collected using a self-reported questionnaire of 183 nursing students. The collected data were analyzed using AMOS 21.0 and SPSS 21.0 program. The model fit was ${\chi}^2=52.06$ (df=9, p<.01), GFI=.93, RMSEA=.16, NFI=.85, and CFI=.90, and the explanatory power was 26.2%. As a result in this study, it was found that the theory of planned behavior(TPB) was appropriate for explaining the intention about healthcare-associated infection control guidelines. It is necessary to develop an education program that can reinforce the concepts of TPB, and iterate research to verify its effectiveness.

Analysis of Convergent Influence of Job Seeking Stress, Academic Burnout and Anxiety on Depression among College Students using Structural Equation Model (구조방정식 모형을 이용한 일개 대학생의 취업스트레스, 학업소진 및 불안이 우울에 미치는 융합적인 영향 분석)

  • This study attempted to identify convergent influence on depression and its association with job seeking stress, academic burnout and anxiety among college students. Data collection was carried out using a self-administered questionnaire from Nov. 12, 2018 to Dec. 14, 2018 and the target was randomly selected 304 students from colleges located in J area. Depression was positively correlated with job seeking stress, academic burnout and anxiety. The covariance structure analysis showed that the job seeking stress, the higher academic burnout and the higher anxiety tend to increase depression. These results show that to lower college students' depression, it is necessary to try to lower job seeking stress, academic burnout, and anxiety. These results are expected to be utilized for employment counseling, academic counseling, and expansion of resources for psychological stability and various interventions that lower the depression of college students. In future studies, the survey about additional factors of influence on the depression of college students will be needed.
