  • Protoplast의 분리는 기계적 방법, 효소처리에 의한 방법 등을 들 수 있다. 효소처리에 의한 방법으로는 적합한 효소의 선정, 조합 및 농도가 중요하고, 융합에는 고 pH-고 Ca법, FEG법 등 여러가지 융합방법이 있으나 최근에는 전기융합에 의한 방법이 개발되어 실용화되고 있다. 본고에서는 식물 protoplast의 전기융합의 개요와 필자의 실혐결과를 중심으로 설명하였다.

  • 융합기술이 향후 미래를 이끌 핵심 기술로 떠오르고 있다. 특히 IT.BT 융합기술은 향후 새로운 기술혁명을 주도할 수 있는, 사회 전반에 파급효과가 큰, 세계경제의 신성장동력으로 주목받고 있다. IT.BT융합 기술은 바이오인포매틱스, 바이오전자, 생체정보인터페이스, 생체정보보호, 바이오컴퓨터 등으로 구분할 수 있고 그 영역이 매우 광범위하다. 여기에서는 바이오전자 가운데 융합 부품으로 구분할 수 있는 바이오칩과 바이오센서 분야의 사업동향을 살펴보고자 한다.

Protoplast fusion of Aspergillus oryzae (Aspergilluis oryzae의 원형질체 융합)

  • As the bsic study about protoplast fusion of amylolytic fungus Aspergillus oryze and nonamyloytic sugar fermenter, Saccaromyces cerevsisae, the intraspecific protoplast fusion of A. oryzae was carried out and the properties of the obtained fusants were investigated. For protoplast fomation from mycellia of auxotrophs, Novozyme 234 as lytic enzyme was the most effective and optimal pH was determined to be pH 5.5-6.0. When the two types of protoplasts were treated with a fusogen including 30% PEG4000, they fused effectively and most of fusants were heterokaryons. Protoplasts aggregated with 30% PEG4000 after fusion treatment were observed by the microscope. Protoplast regeneration frequency was 1.46 to 13.8% and complementation frequency of fusion was 0.12 to 0.16. Fusant strains had a 1.5-fold DNA content compared to that of parent strain. And amylase activity was intermediate between those of parent strains.

  • The need for integration of knowledge and technology among SMEs has been acknowledged, and lacks ways of convergence in practical education. Therefore contents of convergence in practical education of high quality are needed. In this study, a case-oriented curriculum and contents were developed to enhance employee's skills of SMEs. The curriculum consists of 3 steps. The first step is analysis of trends and current status of convergence of SMEs in the domestic and foreign areas. Thus drawing up measures of standards to analyze a successful case. The second step is collection of materials, and development of models through successful cases of convergence. The third step is the analysis of a curriculum to enhance employees' of SMEs and the development of an education program. This study may lead to strengthening competition of SMEs through knowledge and technology convergence based on developed curriculum.

A Study on the Transition and Characteristics of Convergence Design Furniture (융합디자인 가구의 변천과 특성에 관한 연구)

  • The 4th industrial revolution will have brought smart furniture integrated with IT technology and provide a convenient and comfortable environment for our lives. Therefore, this study analyzed the design characteristics of fusion integrated furniture based on changes of the times. In 20th centuries, characteristic of fusion design was based on architectural structure, new material and function. In 21st centuries, smart home furniture and network system was developed based on IT technology. In addition, due to the increase of single-person households and various consumer purchasing patterns, combined functions for small spaces and multi-function furniture was also developed. In conclusion, the trends of convergence design furniture from 20 to 21st century showed that furniture industry has a significant potential for high-tech technology. This study may be a useful information in developing convergence design furniture industry.

Analysis of Human Resources Practices and Career Path Movement In the Field of Convergence Technologies (과학기술분야 융합기술 인력현황 및 이동 행태분석)

  • The technological convergence of IT, BT and NT is expected to drive technological revolution in the twenty first century, so a large amount of R&D expenditure is being concentrated on the development of fusion technology worldwide. Researches on how to direct and manage fusion technology development, however, are rare up to the present. This study investigates technology development and S&T human resources practices in the fusion technology are a focusing on the career path movement of researchers. On the basis of case study and a field survey of 209 scientists and engineers from academia, research institutes and industry, four strategic directions are recommended for improving human resources development in convergence technologies. The limitations and contributions of the study are also discussed.

Estimation of Global Image Fusion Parameters for KOMPSAT-3A: Application to Korean Peninsula (아리랑 3A호의 글로벌 융합 파라미터 추정방법: 한반도 영역을 대상으로)

  • In this study, we tried to analyze the fusion parameters required to produce a high-resolution multispectral image using an image fusion technique and to suggest global fusion parameters. We analyzed the linear regression coefficients that can simulate the panchromatic image, and the fusion coefficients required for producing the fusion image. When the fusion images were produced using the representative fusion parameters, it was confirmed that the difference in DN value between each fusion image was quantitatively smaller than when the optimal fusion parameters were used. Therefore, this study can minimize the regional characteristics reflected in the fused image.
