An Analysis on the Trends and Issues of Convergence Technology Research (네트워크 분석을 통한 국내 융합기술 연구동향 분석)

  • The purpose of study was to analyze the trends of 2005 to 2018 revised 'convergence technology research' through text network analysis using NetMiner4.0 program. Data analysis was conducted by using keyword analysis, centrality analysis of 653 authors' keyword from 177 journals. The results of the study are as follows. First, Research on Converging Technology has been studied steadily over the past 13 years in Department of Industry Convergence. Second, the results of the search term frequency analysis show that the 'convergence technology', 'technology convergence', 'convergence', 'design', 'convergence education', 'STEAM', 'convergence research' were used as the main keywords of convergence technology research. Third, Community analysis results show that five communities have been classified five categories according to the characteristics of the search terms 'only IT', 'Cultural industry utilizing Convergence contents', 'Technology innovation and research analysis' And patent development'. Based on these results, we proposed the future directions of convergence technology research.

  • Convergence technology stimulating participation sharing openness to the public of web 2.0 such as Open-API, Mash-Up, Syndication gives diversity to education field. The convergence in education field means the revolution toward education 2.0 and new education reflecting web 2.0 stream is called 'education 2.0'. Education environment can be the space of social network intimately linked between learners, educators and educational organization. Network technology developed in ontology language makes it possible to educate semantically which understands privatized education service and connection. Especially, filtering system by the reputation system of Amazon and the collective intelligence of Wikipedia are the best samples. Education area can adopt actively because learners as educational main body can broaden their role of participation and communicate bilaterally in the equal position. In this paper, new network architecture in contents linkage is introduced and researched for utilization and analysis of the architecture for web 2.0 technology and educational contents are to be converged. Education 2.0 service utilizing convergence technology and network architecture for realizing education 2.0 is introduced and analyzed so that the research could be a preceding research to the education 2.0 platform foundation.

  • To prevent problems such as portrait rights, copyright, and cyber violence, an ethics education STEAM projects using deepfake apps using AI technology were developed and applied. The Deepfake apps were screened, and the contents of the elementary school curriculum were reconstructed. The STEAM project as creative experiential activities was mainly operated by the UCC activities, and applied the info-ethics awareness measurement test based on the planned behavior theory. The social STEAM project as money (financial) education was qualitatively analyzed. It was found that this STEAM classes using AI technology app significantly enhances the ethical awareness of information communication.

An Analysis of Content and Convergence Method of Scientific Technology and Humanities in Elementary School STEAM Programs (과학기술과 인문학 융합 내용 및 융합 방법 실태 분석 -초등학교 융합인재교육(STEAM) 프로그램 개발 과제를 중심으로-)

  • This study aims to analyze the content and methodological aspects of converging scientific technology and humanities in 233 elementary school STEAM programs developed and publicized from 2012 to 2015, to provide the basic materials and implications for editing and supplementing the development of future STEAM programs or policies, or on-site applications of developed programs. The analysis results show that among the Liberal Arts courses of the STEAM program, including Korean, Social Studies, and Ethics, the level of convergence was lowest in Ethics. This seems to be due to the fact that convergence between scientific technology and humanities tended to emphasize a cross-studies convergence over a content convergence done with a specific purpose. In terms of methodological convergence between scientific technology and humanities, the level of convergence of humanities at a normative level was relatively lower than that at a descriptive level. Although a quantitative comparison of the two methods was not significant, it is rather concerning that due to simply converging descriptive humanities, students may not be so aware of the double-sidedness of scientific technology, despite the discovery of some programs that need re-evaluations of their ethical or normative directions. Moreover, the results showed that the cases of converging scientific technology and humanities at a normative level that were analyzed in the STEAM program can be divided into 'complementation of humanities to utilizing scientific technology' and 'complementation of humanities to research in scientific technology and development.' Based on such research results, the study discusses the development of STEAM programs and policies and directions for editing and supplementing programs on-site.

  • To meet the requirements in the global age, the necessity and importance of global education in the field of education is rapidly increasing. However, according to the viewpoint on global education, a general consensus of its definition and model is not clear yet and the substantial outcome falls short of our expectation due to high cost, low effectiveness, and lack of persistency in the process of global education. Furthermore, there has been little research on global education for fostering global capabilities of pre-teachers. In this research, we compared and analyzed the ongoing global education programs for training global teachers in domestic universities. Also, through a study on IT fusion education system for tackling the difficulties in global education, we examined appropriate IT fusion education methods. In particular, beased on big data analysis techniques, we presented a recommendation system to complete a global curriculum, which can help a dual-degree or exchange student program.

An Exploration of IT Convergence Methods for School Forests Education (초, 중등 학교 숲 활용 교육을 위한 IT 융합 방안 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore educational methods for elementary, middle and high schools using school forests via IT convergence. To this aim, we reviewed the previous literature on education using school forests to identify the problems with the existing education using school forests, and conducted interviews with experts to analyze the demands. we proposed an educational method that can utilize the school forests via IT convergence, and explored its validity through content reviews conducted by experts. The findings of this study are as follows. First, we proposed the IT convergence instruction focused on hands-on activities on top of the existing educational contents. Second, we proposed IT convergence instruction that incorporates diverse materials, physical computing tools, and programming tools. Third, we presented methods for utilizing such IT convergence instruction in connection with various elements of the 2015 Revised Curriculum as well as with various other activities such as middle school free semester activities and after-school activities. The school forest is a crucial learning space for the areas related to agriculture and biotechnology. Thus, we anticipate that the IT convergence instruction proposed in this study will lead to the re-discovery and re-evaluation of a value of school forests as an educational space that contributes to fulfilling the objective of the 2015 Revised Curriculum to nurture creative convergent talent.

Development of Educational Model for ICT-based Convergence Expert (ICT 기반의 융합전문가 양성을 위한 교육모형 개발)

  • To train convergence experts ICT infrastructure must be learned IoT use capabilities of things. In this paper, targeted to students that are majoring in computer science, and for the design of the curriculum and the educational model that handles education of operation in general for training IoT-related education for five months to experts of convergence training describe the contents. Course is the basic ability of the process, core competence course, is divided into real-life capability process and on-site training course, was constructed in a total of 10 stages of the process details. Curriculum, it was designed to learn sensing technology, network technology, security, and content production technology. This educational model is utilized for job creation human resource training project of 2015 Ministry of Employment and Labor, it demonstrated the utility to contribute in order to achieve a high completion and the employment rate. Applicable to future university education plans to expand the curriculum, including courses that complement the Java.

Connecting Engineering Ethics and Philosophy of Technology (공학윤리와 기술철학: 그 접점을 찾아서)

  • This paper suggests teaching philosophy of technology in engineering ethics class, as a realistic solution for convergence education of engineering and humanities. First, the need for convergence between engineering and humanities are presented, which is followed by the analysis of the current convergence education in Korea, especially since the introduction of the ABEEK. Third, the proposal for teaching philosophy of technology in engineering ethics will be presented, together with the expected effect of such a trial. Finally, the actual implementation of this curricula will be introduced. In 2008 and 2009, the engineering ethics course in Handong Global University adopted this proposal. The evaluation of students will be examined, which indicates the direction that the convergence of engineering and humanities should take.

  • 인공지능은 스스로 학습하며 기존 통계 분석보다 탁월한 분석 역량을 지니고 있어 스마트팩토리 혁신에 새로운 전기를 마련할 것으로 기대된다. 이를 증명하듯 스마트팩토리의 주요 분야인 공정 간 연계 제어, 전문가 공정 제어, 로봇 자동화 등에서 활발한 연구가 이어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 소포물 분류 시스템에 전통적인 룰 기반의 제어 방식 대신 다중 에이전트 강화 학습 제어 방식을 설계 및 적용하여 효과적인 행동 제어가 가능함을 입증한다.

  • The need for integration of knowledge and technology among SMEs has been acknowledged, and lacks ways of convergence in practical education. Therefore contents of convergence in practical education of high quality are needed. In this study, a case-oriented curriculum and contents were developed to enhance employee's skills of SMEs. The curriculum consists of 3 steps. The first step is analysis of trends and current status of convergence of SMEs in the domestic and foreign areas. Thus drawing up measures of standards to analyze a successful case. The second step is collection of materials, and development of models through successful cases of convergence. The third step is the analysis of a curriculum to enhance employees' of SMEs and the development of an education program. This study may lead to strengthening competition of SMEs through knowledge and technology convergence based on developed curriculum.
