Analysis of Carbon Emission from a Forward Osmosis and Reverse Osmosis Hybrid System for Water Reuse and Seawater Desalination (하수재이용 및 해수담수화를 위한 정삼투-역삼투 융합공정의 탄소배출량 분석)

  • A conventional seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) and a forward osmosis (FO) and reverse osmosis (RO) hybrid process to produce 1,000 m3/d of fresh water, were designed and compared in terms of carbon emission. When FO was adapted for the osmotic dilution, the required pressure for RO decreases, and thus energy consumption decreases. The decrease in carbon emission by decreased energy consumption (up to -0.73 kgCO2/m3 using coal as the energy source) was compared with the increase in carbon emission by the FO system (+0.16 kgCO2/m3), which is a function of various factors such as the number of FO modules and energy consumption. The comparison revealed that the FO-RO process causes less carbon emission compared with the SWRO process when the energy sources are coal and oil. However, if energy sources with low carbon emission such as solar, wind, and nuclear energy are selected, the carbon emission of the FO-RO process becomes higher than that of the SWRO process. This implies that the type of energy source is a key factor to determine the necessity of the FO-RO process from the aspect of carbon emission.

Convergence Process for the Removal of Heavy Metals in the Abandoned Mine (휴폐광산의 중금속제어를 위한 융합공정 개발)

  • The convergence process utilized both leaching and ion exchange techniques has been investigated for the heavy metals removal in the abandoned mine of Chungyang Province, Korea. The contaminated soil samples by heavy metals from Samkwang mine were analysed by statistical analyses. The highly contaminated soils was initially separated by the flotation process. The selectivity indices were increased with increasing flotation reagents. The selectivity of separation was then improved by the use of both leaching and ion exchange processes in order to extract the heavy metals. The results of this study showed that the higher the sulfuric acid concentration, the leaching rate of heavy metals was increased. The lecheate then was removed by the ion exchange method. The anticipating results might imply that convergence process utilized both leaching and ion exchange techniques would somehow apply for the removal of heavy metals in the abandoned mine.

  • 기계간 지능형 자율 협업을 기반으로 유비쿼터스 생산시스템을 목표로 하는 u-Manufacturing 시스템은 IT와 기계간 융합을 통해 이를 차세대 생산시스템으로서 기존 단위기계 제어에서 공정상 혹은 운영상 연동이 요구되는 일련의 기계들이 상호정보를 교환하고 이를 근거로 제어가 자율적으로 이루어지는 지능형 제어방식을 근간으로 한다. 본고에서는 이러한 궁극적인 IT기계융합시스템의 내용과 그 전단계에 이루어진 다양한 형태의 IT기계융합사례들을 살펴본다. 특히 정밀 생산 공정이 요구되는 공장에서의 기반기술이라 할 수 있는 초정밀 모션시스템에 있어서의 IT융합기술 대한 내용을 고찰하여 미래 IT융합기술의 발전방향을 전망해본다.

Numerical Simulation of Productivity of Metal Powder Spray Granulation Process Using Discrete Element Method (이산요소법을 이용한 금속 분말 분무 과립화 공정의 생산성 시뮬레이션 연구)

  • A powder metallurgy process with granules is the manufacturing technology that can achieve higher-density sintered parts than conventional powder metallurgy processes. However, there is a disadvantage in that the production cost increases significantly due to the additional granulation step. High granule productivity must be guaranteed for affordable material costs in this manufacturing technology. This paper performed a series of scattering, collision, and adhesion simulations of agglomerated powders to investigate the characteristics of granulation process affecting the manufacturing yield rate. The results of this simulation-based convergence study can contribute to improving productivity in the metal powder spray granulation process.

Convergence Study on The Structural Relation among Self control, Fairness, and Happiness (자기통제, 공정함, 행복 간 구조적 관계에 관한 융합연구)

  • The purpose of the present convergence study is to investigate the relationship among self control, fairness, and happiness. It is to determine whether fairness had a mediating role in the relationship between self control and happiness. Participants were 275 undergraduate students. Self control, fairness, and happiness scales were used. For data analysis, correlation analysis, factor analysis, structural equation modeling analysis were conducted. The present study used structural equation modeling to examine the relation among variables. The analyses revealed that the present data best fit the research model in which self control were directly associated with happiness and mediated by fairness(${\chi}^2(51)=91.723$, TLI=0.919 CFI=0.937 RMSEA=0.054). The results indicate that self control affect happiness directly. And also self control affect happiness indirectly by mediation of fairness. Self control had a positive effect on fairness and happiness. This suggests that it is important to have educational and psycho-social interventions to improve happiness of undergraduate students.

Efficient Purification Of Fused Ferritin[$F_{H}+F_{L}$] using Silica Powder and Gel Filtration Chromatography (실리카 분말과 젤 여과 크로마토그래피를 이용한 효과적인 융합 페리틴의 정제)

  • An iron-storage protein, ferritin is a spherical shell consisting of 24 H-and L-chain subunits. Soluble form of fused($F_{H}+F_{L}$ chain) ferritin was separated from disrupted recombinant E. coii cells, followed by silica powder adsorption. Ferritin was recovered from silica-poweder by distilled water, which was applied to gel filtration chromatography(GFC). Collected ferritin fractions from the GFC were assayed via iron-uptake and its molecular weight determined using GF-HPLC. Fused ferritin showed a higher activity than the M- or L- chain ferritin by two times.

  • 최근에 경제성장과 생활향상에 따른 물수요량이 급증함과 동시에 소비자의 질적요구가 강화되고 있는 실정이다. 기존 상수원인 하천의 수질오염으로 인하여 소비자의 요구사항을 충족시키기 위해서는 기존 정수처리법의 개선이 요구된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존 급속여과법의 전염소 처리공정 및 응집.침전 공정의 개선을 통하여 음용수 수질을 개선하고자 하였다. 전염소 대신에 적용한 생물막여과 공정(BAF)의 처리효과 및 응집.침전 공정의 경우는 교반강도에 따른 침전효과에 따른 수질특성을 조사하였다. BAF공정은 탁월한 $NH_4$-N의 제거를 통하여 후속공정에 대한 오염부하량을 저감시킬수 있었고, 응집.침전의 경우 본 연구에서 제안한 응집제 주입량에 따른 교반강도의 실험식인에 의하여 구한 최적교반강도용 용집공정에 적용시 응집.침전의 효과를 향상시킨 수 있어 음용수 수질 향상을 기대 할 수 있었다.

  • 방송 통신 융합 환경의 도래는 뉴미디어 산업 발전의 기회이며 동시에 저작권의 위기이다. 반면 저작권은 오랜 기간 논의된 문제였음에도, 제도적으로 기술적으로 해결되지 못한 미완의 숙제로 남아있다. 이 글은 저작권 보호와 공정 사용이 문화발전이라는 공동의 목적을 가지고 있음을 논증하고 융합 환경에 대한 구조 분석을 시도한다. 이를 통해 저작권 보호 기술이 가지는 한계와 제약을 검토한다. 또한 OWL로 표현된 관계 기반의 저작물 추적 및 통제 기술을 새롭게 제안한다. 특히 접근 통제 기술인 DRM을 시맨틱하게 설계할 수 있는 저작권 보호 기술의 속성과 특성에 대한 분석을 소개함으로 향후 디지털 콘텐츠 관리 및 응용 기술 구현에 도움을 주고자한다.
