Korean isolated word recognizer using new time alignment method of speech signal (새로운 시간축 정규화 방법을 이용한 한국어 고립단어 인식기)

  • This paper suggests new method to get fixed size parameter from different length of voice signals. The efficiency of speech recognizer is determined by how to compare the similarity(distance of each pattern) of the parameter from voice signal. But the variation of voice signal and the difference of speech speed make it difficult to extract the fixed size parameter from the voice signal. The method suggested in this paper is to normalize the parameter at fixed size by using the 2 dimension DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform) after representing the parameter by spectrogram. To prove validity of the suggested method, parameter extracted from 32 auditory filter-bank(it estimates auditory nerve firing probabilities) is used for the input of neural network after being processed by 2 dimension DCT. And to compare with conventional methods, we used one of conventional methods which solve time alignment problem. The result shows more efficient performance and faster recognition speed in the speaker dependent and independent isolated word recognition than conventional method.

A Study on Failure Mechanism of Reinforced Earth Retaining Wall under Strip Load (대상하중하의 보강토옹벽의 파괴 메카니즘에 관한 연구)

  • Based on centrifuge model tests, the failure mechanism of reinforced earth retaining wall under strip load was investigated in this paper. Tests were performed by changing the materials of reinforcing strips, strip lengths, and strip arrangements. The strips were strain-gauged to measure the tensions in strips. The results were analyzed and compared with various design methosds in use to verify their feasibility. Consequently, a centrifuge model test was an effective method of investigating the behavior of reinforced earth retaining wall. The 2 : 1 stress diffusion method showed comparable results with tests in estimating the capacity of the reinforced earth wall under strip load. The superposition of tensions due to selfweight of the backfill and strip load was valid to estimate total tensions mobilized in strips. Using the elasticity theory to estimate the maximum tension mobilized in strips due to surcharge, while solutions of Boussinesq and Westergaard underestimated less tensions than the measured valises, Frohlich solution showed the comparable results with tests.

  • The number of bits per message and the number of tones in the frequency-hopping sequence are determined by the available bandwidth and the data rate of each user. These parameters in turn determine the tone duration which strongly influences the vulnerability of the system to transmission distortions. In this paper, an address code which is assigned to each individual user was employed in order to reduce the collisions or hit. Also the frequency band is divided into several subbands and each user transmits multitone frequency per subband per chip. And the new system which is to increase the duration of each tone by increasing the total number of system frequencies that has been proposed. It is found that an optimum value bit, tone, number of frequencies per chirp can improve the err performance. This flexibility slightly increases maximum efficiecy and makes the the system less vulnerable to multipath delay. So, It is found that as the nuber of user increased 50%, the efficiency as a tuncion of the bandwidth to user'rate ratio improve 20%.

Temporary Stresses by Applying Construction Methods for Continuous Steel-Concrete Double Composite Box Girder Bridges (이중합성 연속 박스거더교에 대한 가설공법별 발생 단면력 검토)

  • Construction techniques for continuous steel bridges were applied to steel-concrete double composite box girder bridges. Concrete depth and length at the bottom of the steel box in the negative moment region were determined by plastic moment region and negative moment region of the double composite section, respectively. Construction methods, such as crane lifting method, free cantilever method, and incremental launching method were used for the analysis of the construction stage. Two cases of the construction phase were considered and analyzed for the stress resultant of double composite girders. The behavior of the nose-deck elastic system was examined by three-dimensionless parameters, such as the nose length, the unit weight of the launching nose, and the flexural stiffness of the nose. The adoption of the launching nose has become an effective solution in the incremental launching of steel-concrete double composite box girder bridges.

Modeling on the Condensation of a Stable Steam Jet Discharging into a Quenching Tank (응축탱크로 방출되는 안정된 증기제트 응축모델)

  • Phenomenon of direct contact condensation (DCC) heat transfer between steam and water is characterized by the transport of heat and mass through a moving steam/water interface. Since the DCC heat transfer provides some advantageous features in the viewpoint of enhanced heat transfer, it is widely applied to the diversified industries. This study proposes a simple condensation model on the stable steam jets discharging into a quenching tank with subcooled water from a single horizontal pipe for the prediction of the steam jet shapes. The model was derived from the mass, momentum and energy equations as well as thermal balance equation with condensing characteristics at the steam/water interface for the axi-symmetric coordinates. The extremely large heat transfer rate at the steam/water interface was reflected in the effective thermal conductivity estimated from the previous experimental results. The results were compared with the experimental ones. The predicted steam jet shape(i. e. radius and length) by the model was increasing as the steam mass flux and the pool temperature were increasing, which was similar to the trend observed in the experiment.

  • Sixteen reinforced concrete beams were tested statically up to failure to investigate the arch action. Major variables were the shear span to depth ratio, steel ratio and existence of stirrups.The arch action in reinforced concrete beams started when flexural cracks appeared at the center of the span. Due to the reduction of internal moment arm length by the development of arch action, the measured steel tension was significantly higher than the calculated. As the shear span to depth ratio arid steel ratio decrease, the arch action in reinforced concrete eams increases. Over the entire length the force in the steel of no web reinforced beams having smaller a /d ratio than 3 was constant because the beams acted as a tied arch.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate anti analyze the effect of iength of steel fiber and concrete admixt.ure such as iilica fume and fly ash on the workability arid engineering properties cbf steel fiber reinforced concxte (SFRC). As the results the follows art: found. First, it is poss ible to make steel fiber reinforced concrete having the consistency of IOcm slump and 28 days compressive strength of $600{\;}kgf/\textrm{m}^2$ by adopting low water binder ratios arid using :uperplasticizer. Second, the conipresslve and tensile strength of SWKC containing silica fume and fly ash is lower than those of plain concrete in the age after 28 days, but higher in the age after 28 days. Finally, tensde strength of SFHC is higher than that of plain concrete, and so adding the steel fibers in concrete increases the toughness.

  • SP 800-90B of NIST(USA) and AIS.31 of BSI(Germany) are representative statistical tests for TRNGs. In this paper, we concentrate on AIS.31 which is under the ongoing international standardization process. We examine the probabilistic meaning of each statistic of the test in AIS.31 and investigate its probability distribution. By changing significance level and the length of sample bits, we obtain formalized accept region of the test. Furthermore we propose the accept regions for some iterative tests, that are not mentioned in AIS.31, and provide some simulations.

A Disassembly Technique of ARM Position-Independent Code with Value-Set Analysis Having Symbol-Form Domain (기호 형태의 값-집합 분석을 이용한 ARM 위치 독립적 코드의 정교한 역어셈블리 기법)

  • With the proliferation of smart mobiles, disassembly techniques for position-independent code (PIC) composed of ARM architecture instructions in computer security are becoming more important. However, existing techniques have been studied on x86 architecture and are focused on solving problems of non-PIC and generality. Therefore, the accuracy of the collected address information is low to apply to advanced security technologies such as binary measurement. In this paper, we propose a disassembly technique that reflects the characteristics of PIC composed of ARM instructions. For accuratly collecting traceable addresses, we designed value-set analysis having symbol-form domain. To solve the main problem of disassembly, we devised a heuristic using the characteristics of the code generated by the compiler. To verify the accuracy and effectiveness of our technique, we tested 669 shared libraries and executables in the Android 8.1 build, resulting in a total disassembly rate of 91.47%.

New Offline Electronic Cash using Hash Chain (해쉬체인을 이용한 새로운 오프라인 전자화폐)

  • A hash chain is highly efficient, attractive structure to use in electronic cash. Previous systems using hash chain were, however, either credit-based vendor-specific cash or debit-based general-purpose cash which lacks efficiency due to double spending problem. In this paper, we propose a new divisible cash system using hash chain. This newly proposed cash is general-purpose, debit-based, anonymous, and offline. The efficiency of the system results from its capacity to pay variable amounts with no additional costs. A client always performs a single blind signature in the withdrawal phase, independent of the length of the chain. During payment, a client performs a single challenge-and-response or generates a single signature, independent of the amount paid. This system provides a new refund mechanism, which uses a refund ticket, that allows clients to refund the unspent part of the chain without revealing any connection to the spent part.
