This study aimed to investigate the impacts of children's culinary education motive and contents consideration on teachers perception of education effectiveness. The data was gathered from 226 of preschool teachers providing culinary education programs using the five-Likert scales. The preschools were chosen from three randomly selected districts in Seoul, South Korea. Descriptive analysis, factor analysis, and regression analysis were utilized for this study. The result indicate that culinary educators designed the contents of the program considering their convenience when their motive is passive, whereas others focussed on the educational purpose such as children's eating habit formulation, team work, and development of taste sense when their motive is active. The result also confirmed that culinary educators perceived the educational effectiveness (e.g., children's development of body, team work, and creativeness) in the course of designing culinary education contents when focusing on children's education.

There are various remedies that are proposed from aspects of education and social welfare for social integration of multi-cultural families which is different from ethnic and cultural background. This study proposed educational process model for information literacy education of multi-cultural children. The proposed model is consedered to reduce digital divide by using five factor from the earlier information literacy. At last, this study explained characteristics, objective, contents, teaching-learning method and estimating method of proposed model.

The purpose of this study was to develop an integrated early childhood music education program using storytelling songs and to examine its possible effects by analyzing musical expression ability, language expression ability and creativity. In order to verify the effect of the program developed in the study, 68 4-year old preschoolers were selected from 2 preschools to be divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group was given the integrated music education program 16 times in total (two times a week for 8 weeks). The data were analyzed by t-test. The results of this study were : First, it was found that the integrated early childhood music education program using storytelling songs had a positive effect on children's musical expression ability and linguistic expression ability. Second, it was found that the integrated early childhood music education program using storytelling songs had a positive influence among the sub-areas of creativity.

The purpose of this study is to develop evaluation tools for young children's mathematical ability based on the content standards of NCTM and to verify the suitability of the tools. The tools consist of 5 sub-tests with 90 items, including number and operation, algebra, geometry, measurement, data analysis and probability. The tool analysis was examined with 300 three-to five-years-old children and 31 math education professionals. The results of this research are as follows : First, in order of age the passing rate increased. The gap between high and low score group reveals a statistically meaningful difference. Second, the internal consistency reliability coefficient, Cronbach ${\alpha}$, is .96. Test-retest reliability is around .90. The concurrent validity correlation between this tools and Choi Hye-Jin's test(2003) is .85. The analysis of the content validity was proved appropriately by math education professionals.

Recognizing the importance of early childhood education, the government is preparing measures at the national level, including expanding the scope of free education for infants, linking early childhood education to elementary schools, unifying the system in charge of early childhood education, printing the cost of operating a full-time system for double-income couples, and policies for low-income infants. In Korea's childcare policy, the need for childcare has increased due to the increase of free double-income couples, the increase of nuclear families, and the increase of divorce rates. Despite the overall increase in the child care budget, Korea's child care policy shows many problems in its efficiency due to the burden of childcare facilities and childcare fees for caregivers. After looking into the theoretical contents of the free childcare policy and the corresponding child care support policy, we would like to consider ways to improve the free childcare policy.

The purpose of this study is to emphasize the importance of the safety and health ability to safely protect body in a risky situation in infancy, but due to the lack of a valid test tool for measuring infant safety knowledge, measure the safety and health knowledge of infants. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, opinions of education experts and early childhood education experts were collected, and suitable factors for measuring safety and health knowledge of children aged 3-5 years were extracted. The measurement questions developed based on this were surveyed on 186 children aged 3-5 years old to verify the relevance of the question composition and the reliability of the contents. In the distribution of the item response, values of 0.8 or less were deleted, and items with a correlation of r<.40 or less were also deleted, and the reliability test showed more than .70. After exploratory factor analysis, it was developed into 23 questions in 3 areas. The total score of safety and health knowledge for the final question and the degree of correlation were above .80. The tool for measuring child safety and health knowledge developed in this study was confirmed to be appropriate for item discrimination, item reliability, and content validity, and thus will be used as basic data for measuring child safety and health knowledge. After the early childhood safety and health education program is implemented, Further research should verify the effectiveness of the early childhood safety and health program.

This study aims to identify research trends in adaptation of young children from multicultural families in order to provide insights for researchers around research topics and cultural adaptation orientation of young children from multicultural families. Subjects of this study were 41 literatures with key words of'young children from multicultural families', 'adaptation', and'life'through paper search system. This study was analysed the research themes, methods, subjects, and perspectives of cultural adaptation in adaptation researches of young children from multicultural families, 2006-2017 from peer reviewed journals with analysis frameworks. The results showed that : (a) the most common research topic continues to be about adaptation conditions of young children from multicultural families; (b) among research methods, quantitative research has most frequently used in, followed by qualitative methods, mixed methods, and literature review; (c) cultural adaptation was focused on the perspective of social-cultural adaptation, developmental importance of adaptation in early childhood and problems-based research. It implicated that further researches are need to focused on psychological adaptation and formation of classroom community beyond personal and structural adaptation in preschools.

The purpose of this study was to examine the experiences of participation in the educational community through cooperative relationships between early childhood teachers and researchers in early childhood mathematics education using storytelling, and to find out the meaning of those experiences. Reputable researchers began with the formation of the educational community on March 14, 2016, and continued until July 26, 2016, and collected transcripts of discussions of educational community meetings, reflective journal data of teachers and researchers, and transcript of individual interviews by teachers. As a result of the study, first, the experience of participating in the educational community in early childhood mathematics education using storytelling shared personal mathematics experiences and mathematical situations, understood and learned mathematics content knowledge through sharing, and communicated through the educational community. Second, looking at the meaning of the experience of participating in the early childhood mathematics education educational community using storytelling, learn together through mathematical errors and learn the direction of better instruction through sharing. Grown up as a teacher who enjoys the mathematics exploration process, and promoted joint practice through cooperation in early childhood mathematics education using storytelling.

This study examined prevailing parents' knowledge of eye health for young children. 139 mothers responded to a questionnaire developed by the researchers. Mothers had general eye health knowledges regardless of their age, education level, and job, but they had less knowledges about children's eye health in some items. Therefore there is a need to develop education programs and materials for eye health as well as a need to provided for young children's parents.

The goal of this study was to analyze the demands of parents of an after-school program. In order to do this, we looked at cultural centers and their curriculums. Cultural centers are one of the most popular private education centers for preschoolers, and are used for the operation of special activities. The research was conducted on preschool curriculums of 300 cultural centers, including cultural centers of department stores and supermarkets. The curriculum analysis was conducted for 400 preschool curriculums of three cultural centers, which had the most programs of all. The scope of the curriculum analysis was based on the 3rd Childcare Standard Curriculum for infants and Nuri Curriculum for preschoolers. As a result of the analysis, there were 12,286 programs for infants. The most popular topics for programs were comprehensive activity, physical activity, and music activity. There were 15,310 programs for preschoolers. Physical activity was the most popular topic among them. It was followed by drawing activity and number and operating activity. Analyzing the contents of these programs, we found that 'participating in physical activity' of physical exercise, and 'expressing artistically' of artistic experience were the most popular contents of infants. 'Expressing artistically' of artistic experience and 'control of body and basic exercise' of physical exercise were most popular contents for preschoolers. The results show that parents demand physical activity programs for infants and artistic activity programs for preschoolers. The results of the research should be considered when childcare centers try to make a special after-school program.
