Pseudo Dynamic Test Study on Seismic Performance Evaluation of RC Columns Retrofitted by PolyUrea (내진보강용 폴리우레아로 보강된 철근콘크리트 기둥의 내진성능 평가에 대한 유사동적실험 연구)

  • As earthquakes have frequently happened all over the world, huge losses of human life and property have occurred. Therefore, retrofitting and strengthen technologies of non-seismically designed structures in Korea are urgent. Also, there has been a growing interest about seismic retrofitting, where researches on the topic have been actively pursued in Korea. The study results showed that ductility inducing retrofitting method is more superior stiffness inducing method. In Japan, Super Reinforcement with Flexibility (SRF) was introduced. Therefore, in this study, seismic performance evaluation was performed through pseudo dynamic test and uniaxial compression test for RC column retrofitted by PolyUrea for ductility inducing retrofitting material. Uniaxial compression test results showed that strength of all specimens retrofitted by PolyUrea was higher than that of RC specimens. Also, all specimens retrofitted by PolyUrea also showed ductile fracture behavior. In pseudo dynamic test, by appling real earthquake record, the seismic behavior of RC column reinforced by PolyUrea was evaluated through relative displacement, reinforcement strain, displacement ductility, and dissipation energy. The results showed that PolyUrea helped to enhance seismic performance of RC columns.

Sorption Characteristics of Arsenic on Furnace Slag by Adsorption Isotherm and Kinetic Sorption Experiments (등온 및 동적 흡착 실험을 통한 제강 슬래그의 비소 흡착 특성)

  • Sorption characteristics of arsenic on furnace slag were investigated to remove arsenic from groundwater using furnace slag, which is industrial waste generated from steel company. Adsorption isotherm experiments and kinetic sorption experiments were performed and the chemical characteristics of supernatants from these experiments were analyzed. Results showed that all supernatants were alkaline (above pH 9) and the highest ion concentration in the solution was found with calcium (30~50 mg/L). Results of adsorption isotherms were more adequately described by the Freundlich model than Langmuir model. From adsorption isotherms experiments, it was noted that the adsorption amount of As(V) was 87% higher than that of As(III). Results of kinetic sorption experiments were more properly fitted by pseudo second order (PSO) model than pseudo first order model. Equilibrium adsorption amount ($q_e$) and relaxation time ($t_r$) calculated from PSO model increased with initial concentration of arsenic. Equilibrium adsorption amount of As(V) was higher than that of As(III) and relaxation time of As(V) was shorter than that of As(III). Adsorption isotherm results could be predicted by kinetic adsorption results, since equilibrium adsorption amount calculated through PSO model generally agreed with equilibrium adsorption amount measured from adsorption isotherm.

  • The use of unconditionally stable implicit time integration techniques for pseudo-dynamic tests has been recently proposed and advanced by several researchers such as Thewalt and Mahin Nakashima and Shing. The developed implicit algorithms are based on a-Method of Hugest et al. In this paper a concise summary and explanation of implicit method for Pseudo dynamic test is presented. Especially The a-C method developed by shing at al. has been in-depth evaluated for this study. Important parameters of the a-C method have been analyzed by the simulation test.

  • 해안의 자연지형은 흐름의 변화에 대해서 자신의 특성을 조절하는 능력을 가지고 있다. 흐름의 변화는 자연적 변화와 인위적 변화로 구분할 수 있다. 자연적 변화는 해일, 조류, 취송류 등에 의한 변화가 있다. 또한, 댐 방류량 조절 및 온배수 제트 등은 해안 흐름의 변화를 야기하며, 항만 등 수공구조물의 건설에 의해 흐름이 인위적으로 변화된다. 흐름이 변화하게 되면 이전의 동적 평형상태에 있던 해안은 수리학적 혹성, 유사특성의 변화를 초래하여 평형상태는 깨지게 된다. (중략)

  • 최근 웹 서비스에서 동적 콘텐츠의 비율이 증가함에 따라 캐처 적중률을 높임으로써 서버 CPU의 부하를 줄이는 일의 중요성이 커지고 있다. 서버의 성능을 증가시키기 위한 방법으로 콘텐츠 복제 서버 클러스터가 널리 활용되고 있다. 그러나 콘텐츠 복제 서버의 각 노드는 유사한 작업을 수행함에도 탈구하고 서로 독립적으로 동작하므로 캐쉬 적중률이 감소한다. 본 논문에서는 한 서버 노드에서 캐슁하는 웹 콘텐츠를 다른 서버 노드의 캐쉬에 복제함으로써 서버 팜의 각 노드의 캐쉬 내용을 유사하게 관리하여 캐쉬 적중률을 높인다.

A Study on Seismic Response of Pile Foundations for Aseismic Design (말뚝기호의 내진해석에 대한 연구)

  • In this paper, response of pile foundations under seismic loading is studied for use in aseismic design of deep foundations. Both the pseudostatic methods such as subgrade reaction theory by Reese, and elastic analysis by Poulos, and the dynamic methods proposed by, respectively, Prakash and Gazetas, are used for this study. The top displacements and maximum bending moments of example piles are obtained by each method mentioned above, and the results by each method are compared among others. The group pile effects are also considered approximately. The calculated results are compared with experimental results obtained by Novak in 1984. The pseudostatic methods, combined with dynamic group interaction factors, and the dynamic method proposed by Gazetas which considers both kinematic interaction and inertial interaction, separately, estimate the top displacements reasonably well : the method by Prakah or the pseudostatic methods combined with static group interaction factors may overestimate the top displacements and bending moments as well. Therefore, it is recommended to the the simple elastic analysis combined with dynamic group interaction factors for aseismic design of pile foundatins and to confirm the results by the Gaz etas' dynamic methods.

Factors Changing Dynamic Research Collaboration Network in Korean Nanobiotechnology (나노바이오 분야 국내 연구자의 동적 협업 네트워크 변화 요인 분석)

  • This study attempted to identify dynamically changing structure and analyze factors of collaboration. In order to perform this study, 1,631 articles in SCI journals were collected, and 3,898 researchers' information were extracted. To examine the dynamics of collaboration networks, the co-authorship data collected from 2001 to 2015 were divided into three sets, and were analyzed with respect to each period. The results of this study were summed up as: 1) "Co-authorship of the last year" was entirely significant factors while research career was significant only in the period of 2 to 3. 2) It was found that "Influence of the researchers" and "Emergence of the researchers" were significant factors in the period of 2 to 3 and in the period of 1 to 2. 3) "Same institutions", "Same subject", and "Journal similarity" were significant factors in all periods.

  • 애니메이션에서 가장 중요하게 고려해야 할 문제는 프레임간 유사성을 어떻게 유지하느냐 이다. 각 프레임간 영상의 유사성이 없으면 프레임이 바뀔 때 좋지 못한 영상을 보여주기 때문이다. 또한 3차원 애니메이션을 위한 비사실적 렌더링에서는 프레임간 유사성뿐 아니라 렌더링을 수행하는 방법도 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 프레임간 유사성을 유지하기 위하여 파티클 시스템을 사용한다. 파티클을 물체의 실제 크기에 따라 분포시킴으로써 적절한 파티클의 수를 유지한다. 이때, 물체가 확대, 축소될 경우에는 화면상에서의 물체의 크기에 따라 동적으로 파티클의 수를 조정하게된다. 그리고 비사실적 렌더링을 위하여 붓의 터치를 표현할 스트로크를 사용하는데 스트로크의 방향, 색, 크기 등을 결정하기 위하여 참조 영상을 사용하는 렌더링 방법을 소개한다. 이렇게 결정된 스트로크들의 속성들은 붓 모양의 텍스쳐를 이용하여 렌더링 된다.

  • 자연 하천의 종단면도를 살펴보면 상류 지역의 경사는 가파른 반면, 하류 지역으로 내려갈수록 완만해지는 부드러운 오목한 형태가 나타난다. 이러한 종단은 유량, 유사량, 수리기하, 하상 입자의 크기와 분포 등이 복합적으로 작용하여 형성되는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이러한 종단면도에 대한 모의는 지형이 동적평형상태에 이를 때까지 장기간에 걸친 모의를 통해 살펴볼 수 있을 것이다. 단, 그러한 가정은 하천종단 형성에 관여하는 모든 변수에 대한 정량화가 잘 이루어졌을 때 가능할 것이다. 여기서 가장 불확실성이 큰 것은 하천의 유사량을 추정하는 공식일 것이다. 이 연구에서는 유사량이송공식의 변수에 어떠한 값을 적용하느냐에 따라 자연스러운 하천 종단이 형성되는지 지표변화모형을 통해 밝히고자 하였다. Schoklitsch 식을 적용한 LEGS 수치 모형으로 모의를 진행하였으며, 각각의 조건에서 도출된 종단면도의 오목도와 적용한 변수 간의 관계를 비교하였다. 또한, 이에 대한 민감도 분석 수행을 통해 자연 하천에서 확인할 수 있는 특징의 원인을 찾고자 하였다.
