Organic Thin Film Transistors with Cross-Linked PVP Gates (Cross-Linked PVP 게이트 유기 박막트랜지스터)

  • The preparation and processing of PVP-gate insulators on the device performance have been studied in the fabrication of organic thin film transistors (OTFTs). One of polyvinyl series, poly-4-vinyl phenol(PVP) was used as a solute and propyleneglycol monomethyl etheracetate(PGMEA) as a solvent in the formation of organic gate solutions. The cross-linking of organic insulators was also attempted by adding the thermosetting material, poly (melamine-co-formaldehyde) as a hardener in the compounds. From the measurements of electrical insulating characteristics of metal-insulator-metal (MIM) samples, PVP-based insulating layers showed lower leakage current according to the increase of concentration of PVP and poly (melamine-co-formaldehyde) to PGMEA in the formation of organic solutions. The PVP(20 wt%) copolymer with composition of 20 wt% PVP to PGMEA and cross-linked PVPs in which 5 wt% and 10 wt% poly (melamine-co-formaldehyde) hardeners had been additional]y mixed into PVP(20 wt%) copolymers were used as gate dielectrics in the fabrication of OTFTs, respectively. In our experiments, the maximum field effect mobility of $0.31cm^2/Vs$ could be obtained in the 5 wt% cross-linked PVP(20 wt%) device and the highest on/off current ratio of $1.92{\times}10^5$ in the 10 wt% cross-linked PVP(20 wt%) device.

Comparison of Some Physicochemical Properties and Adsorption of Organic Cations between Ca- and Na-bentonites (Ca-형 및 Na-형 벤토나이트의 제반 물성 및 유기양이온 흡착비교)

  • Ca-type and Na-type bentonites show the great difference of some physicochemical properties. Na exchanged bentonite is mainly used for the foundry and construction materials in domestic utilization. This study tries to identify in detail the differences of some physicochemical properties and thermal properties between Ca-type and Na-type bentonites. Also the adsorption behavior and interlayer expansion for the HDTMA (Hexadecyltrimethylammonium) exchanged and CP (Cetylprydinium) exchanged Ca-type and Na-type bentonites were compared. Na-type bentonite shows the strong alkaline property, high viscosity and swelling compared to Ca-type bentonite. However, two types are very similar for the cation exchange capacity and MB (Methylene Blue) adsorption. The decomposition of adsorbed and interlayer water of Na-type bentonite is caused in the lower temperature than Ca-type bentonite. And Ca-type bentonite shows the decomposition of structural water in the lower temperature than Na-type bentonite. The interlayer expansion of montmorillonite resulted to the intercalation of HDTMA and CP into bentonite is so strongly caused from 12~15 $\AA$ to $40\AA$ (basal spacing). HDTMA-bentonite is almost expanded to $37~38\AA$ when 200% CEC equivalent amount of HDTMA is added, and CP-bentonite is fullly expanded to 40 $\AA$ in the 140% CEC equivalent amount of CP It means that CP causes the stronger interlayer expansion of montmorillonite and easier adsorption than HDTMA. Adsorption behaviors of CP into bentonite is so stable and continuously sorbed in the proportion to the treatment of amount until 200% of the CEC equivalents. CP-bentonite shows the same adsorption behavior regardless of Ca-type or Na-type montmorillonite.

Study on Characteristics of Chemical Properties and Microbial Flora of Organic Farming Soil in Korea (유기농 토양의 화학적 특성 및 미생물상 연구)

  • The objectives of this study was to investigate the difference between organic-farming and conventional-farming soils relatives to soil chemical properties and microbial flora. Fifteen soil sampling sites were chosen from the certified organic upland farm, considered with its location, crop and application of organic compost types. Soil chemical properties were analyzed by standard methods established by National Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Rural Development Administration. For the soil chemical properties, the values of pH were ranged from 4.5 to 7.3. The values of electrical conductivity (EC) in the sampling sites were below 2 dS/m of convention cultivation soil. For analyzing the microbial flora, the bacillus(16S rDNA) and cladothricosis(18S rDNA) were analyzed by using PCR-DGGE (Denaturing Gradient Gel Electrophoresis) in the soil of 15 sampling sites. Cluster analysis of biodiversity index was performed by using pattern of DGGE. DGGE patterns and clustering analysis of bacterial DNA from soil extracts revealed that the bacterial community was differentiated between less than 5 years and more than 5 years depending on the cultivation history. But there was no consistent tendency between cultivation history and regional trend in the case of molds. Therefore, it would be very effective to analyze bacterial clusters of organically cultivated soils in long - term cultivated soil for more than 5 years.

  • A radiochemical separation scheme for the neutron activation analysis is developed for the determination of 28 elements in aluminum. The scheme is based on a group separation using ion-exchange resin and mineral exchanger. Present work has employed mineral acids and their partly organic mixture excluding HF as the media as well as common glass wares. For the determination, gamma-ray spectroscopy using $3"\times3"\;Nal(TI)$ detector and a single comparator method are used.

  • In this work the electrical characteristics of organic TFTs with the semiconductor-insulator interfaces have been interested. Pentacene is used as an active semiconducting layer. The semiconductor layer of pentacene was thermally evaporated in vacuum at a pressure of about $2{\times}10^{-6}$ Torr and at a deposition rate of 0.3$\AA$/sec. Aluminium and gold were used for gate and source/drain electrodes. before pentacene is deposited on the insulator, the gate dielectric surfaces of two samples were rubbed with lateral and perpendicular to direction of the channel length respectively.

  • 친환경, 신 재생에너지 중 하나인 태양광은 크게 발전용과 조명용으로 사용될 수 있다. 자연채광시스템에 주요부품인 태양광을 전달하는 자연채광용 유리광섬유를 국내최초로 개발하였다. 적용된 자연채광시스템에 대해 소개하고 광섬유와 광케이블의 기본구조, 광학적 특성, 벤딩조건에 따른 조도변화 및 스펙트럼을 분석하였다. 조명용 뿐 만 아니라 식물성장용으로도 사용가능하여 지하농원 등의 적용이 가능하다.

  • 1821년경 최초로 "loess"라는 이름으로 사용된 황토는 산화철을 함유하는 황갈색의 광물성 염료이며, 이것은 일반적으로 황토가 포함된 원토를 채에 담아 물 속에서 선별하거나 바람에 날려 분리시켜 얻어지며, 분리되어진 황토는 불투명한 황갈색의 색조와 항균성이 있는 것으로 알려져 왔다[1]. 그러나 황토는 물기름, 유기용제 등에 불용성이며 섬유와 친화력이 없어 염색후 내세탁성이 낮아 황토 염색시 고착제인 콩즙을 이용하는 전통적인 방법이 알려지다가 최근에 Kim[2]은 고착제 없이 황토의 입자 크기를 5 $mu extrm{m}$ 이하로 하여 9$0^{\circ}C$에서 5~10 분간 교반하는 방법으로 면직물에 염색해 내세탁성과 항균성이 있는 염색물을 얻고자 하였으나 입자 크기가 5$\mu\textrm{m}$이하 수준에서도 친화력이 부족하여 내세탁성에는 크게 영향을 미치지 못하였으며 항균 효과도 낮게 나온 것으로 보고되었다. Pentacene was thermally evaporated in vacuum at a pressure of about $1{\times}10^{-6}$ Torr and at a deposition rate of $0.5{\AA}$/sec, and PVP was spin-coated. Aluminium and gold were used for gate and source/drain electrodes. 0.1mm thick flexible polyester substrate was used instead of glass or silicon wafer.

  • 최근의 사무기기용 다면체반사경을 비롯하여 메모리 디스크,복사기용 드럼등은 물론 레이저 응용, X-선용의 천체망원경 및 현미경등의 광기술에 "초정밀 가공기술"의 용도가 점차 확대되어 가고 있는데, 이는 진보된 과학과 공업기술에 대한 시스템에 있어서 광학, 전기 및 전자 그리고 기계 부품의 생산에 가장 중요한 핵심기술의 하나이다. 본 연구에서는 초정밀 전용 공작기계가 아닌 범용 CNC 선반에 초정밀 절삭공구인 직선 절인의 천연다이아몬드 공구와 공작물로써 알루미늄합금을 장착하고, 선삭하여 초정밀 절삭에 관한 정성적인 데이터를 얻고자, 절삭조건에 따른 표면거칠와 절삭력 등의 변화를 조사하였다.변화를 조사하였다.

α-NPD의 dihedral coefficient 최적화

  • 유기 반도체의 전하 이동 특성은 그 구조적 특성에 매우 민감하다. 따라서 재료의 특성을 정확히 예측하기 위해서는 정확하게 구조를 모델링할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 OLED에 널리 쓰이는 ${\alpha}$-NPD의 구조를 분자동역학을 통해 예측하기 위하여 OPLS-AA force field를 기반으로 하여 dihedral coefficient를 최적화하였다. DFT 계산을 기준으로 이를 근사하는 dihedral coefficient를 계산하였으며 ${\alpha}$-NPD의 중앙에 위치한 biphenyl dihedral의 경우, $K_2=2.74kcal/mol$, $K_4=-0.12kcal/mol$을 얻었다. 또한 이를 이용하여 melt-quench 방법을 통해 ${\alpha}$-NPD의 비정질 구조를 모델링하였다. 계산으로 얻어진 밀도는 $1.11g/cm^3$이며 실험값은 $1.12g/cm^3$이다.
