The Analysis of the Major Accidents caused by Fatigue of Pilot with TEM (조종사 피로에 의한 항공사고의 TEM 적용을 통한 공통요인 도출에 관한 연구)

  • Charles Lindbergh has experienced the uncontrolled situation of the aircraft while he was asleep with open eyes during his Atlantic crossing flight around 20 hours after departure from the New York in 1927 because of the fatigue. According to the NTSB(National Transportation Safety Board) reports, about 40 incidents are related fatigue in each year. The sleep loss is the most wanted item for the NTSB and may cause the similar effect as the alcohol does. The fatigue may affect the management of the threats and errors especially during take-off and landing. In this study, threats and errors of major accidents that NTSB analysed fatigue as a causal factor will be identified in order to understand the seriousness of fatigue.

The Effect of Empathy in Responses to Persuasive Health Communication Campaign Contents (건강캠페인 콘텐츠에 대한 공감 반응 효과 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of sympathetic reactions to public service advertisement video messages produced for health campaigns. To this end, based on the empathy response scale proposed by Campbell & Babrow (2004), the empathy response to the images of nine health campaigns with themes of smoking cessation, tuberculosis, and suicide triggered fear of health risks and health behaviors (information seeking, preventive actions). As a result of the analysis, among the factors of empathy reaction, the reality of the message creative, the match of emotions, and the identification of the characters in the video each played a role in raising fear, and it is rather fear that logically understanding the situation that causes health problems through the health campaign video It was found that it played a role in reducing health information seeking behavior. On the other hand, it was found that the higher the degree of interest, such as sympathy for the characters in the video, among the factors of the sympathetic response to the health campaign, the higher the intention of preventive action to reduce the health risk.

A Study on the Information Privacy Concerns in Social Log-in Service

  • In this paper, we examined the causes of privacy concerns and related factors in social log-in services. On the basis of the 'principal-agent theory,' we established factors such as perceived information asymmetry and fear of seller opportunism affecting information privacy concern of social log-in services users. In addition, we analyzed the relationship between the information privacy concern and intention to use on the basis of the 'privacy calculus theory'. The results of the study showed that (1) fear of seller opportunism had the significant effect on information privacy concerns, (2) information privacy concerns had the significant effect on perceived risk, (3) in accordance with the privacy calculus theory, perceived risk had the negative effect on intention to use, while perceived benefit had the positive effect on intention to use. The findings of the study are expected to help to improve the social log-in service firms' understanding for customers' information privacy protection behaviors.

  • 조종사들은 비행시에 일상 생활 환경에서는 경험하지 못하는 여러가지 적대환경에 폭로된다. 이러한 환경에서는 인체의 평형기관은 실제와 일치하지 않는 정보를 제공해 주는 경우가 허다하다. 예를들면, 내이의 미로 전정기관이나 피하압력기관기 등은 항공기의 기동으로 발생하는 중력과 지구의 중력을 구별 하지 못하는 기능의 한계성때문에 계기비행하에서는 대개의 경우 공간정위상실, 즉 비행착각을 유발한다. 이 착각으로 인한 항공기 사고는 통계상에서 상당 부분이 치명사고로 나타나고 있는데, 이러한 사실은 비행착각현상이 비행안전에 극히 위험한 요소가 되고 있다는 것을 실증한다고 할 수 있다. 그러므로 조종사들은 비행시 공간정위 유지를 위한 철저한 대비가 있어야 한다. 공간정위 상실현상이 잘 발생하는 경우는 야간이나 기타 계기비행 환경에서 주위시각이 제약을 받을 때이다. 즉, 계기비행 환경에서의 편대비행시나 고기동시, 그리고 대조물이 모호한 야간의 활주로에서 이착륙할때 등을 들 수 있다. 비행시 공간정위 상실현상을 예방하기 위해서는 첫째로 이러한 유형의 사고분석자료를 토대로 하여 항공기의 설계단계에서부터 제작에 이르기까지 착각을 유발할 수 있는 구조적 요인을 제거해야 한다. 둘째로는 이러한 착각을 유발하지 않는 운항이나 기동방식을 택하여 비행임무를 수행토록 해야한다. 세째로 조종사들은 이러한 착각을 정상적인 인체의 반응에 의한 것이므로 자신에게도 당연히 일어난다는 사실을 용인해야 한다. 네째로 조종사들은 계기비행에 대한 구체적이고 실제적인 훈련을 통하여 계기비행 경험을 쌓아야 한다. 다음은 조종사들의 실제비행시 공간정위 상실현상에 봉착했을때의 처리요령이다. 첫째로 계기비행상황에서 자신의 감각과 계기가 일치하지 않을 때는 즉시 계기를 Cross Check하여 항공기의 자세나 기동형태를 정확하게 파악해야 한다. 둘째로 계기가 조종사의 의도대로 나타나도록 조작하고 이를 철저하게 의지하고 믿어야 한다. 세째로 자신의 감각과 계기가 일치할때까지 수평비행을 유지해야 한다. 그리고 마지막으로, 고성능 항공기가 계기비행중 저공에서 비행착각에 봉착하게 될때의 행동절차를 철저하게 숙지하고 있어야 한다.

A Study on the Quantitative Risk Assessment of Bridge Construction Projects (교량 공사 프로젝트의 정량적 리스크 평가에 관한 연구)

  • The recent bridge construction projects is demanded more sophisticated risk management measures and loss forecasts to brace for risk losses from an increase in the trend of bridge construction. This study aims to analyze the risk factors that caused the loss of material in actual bridge construction and to develop a quantified predictive loss model, based on the past record of insurance payment by major domestic insurance companies for bridge construction projects. For the development of quantitative bridge construction loss model, the dependent variable was selected as the loss ratio, i.e., the ratio of insurance payout divided by the total project cost, while the independent variable adopted 1) Technical factors: superstructure type, foundation type, construction method, and bridge length 2) Natural hazards: typhoon and flood 3) Project information: construction period and total project cost. Among the selected independent variables, superstructure type, construction method, and project period were shown to affect the ratio of bridge construction losses. The results of this study can provide government agencies, bridge construction design and construction and insurance companies with the quantitative damage prediction and risk assessment services, using risk indicators and loss prediction functions derived from the findings of this study and can be used as a guideline for future basic bridge risk assessment development research.

The Impact of Past Behavior on Intention to Smartphone Application Piracy (과거행동이 스마트폰 애플리케이션 불법복제 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Due to the expandability of smartphone, the mobile application market is growing explosively. However, as happens in other digital contents markets, piracy of mobile applications is prevalent. This study investigated the effects of behavioral factors on smartphone application piracy. The research model consists of factors from the theory of planned behavior model - subjective norms, attitudes toward piracy and perceptions of behavioral control. In addition, perceived consequences, past behavior and habit was included. The past behavior of PC software piracy was a meaningful predictor of habit, and habit was found to influence significantly the smartphone piracy intention. The result also shows that perceived benefit had significant effect on attitude, but both perceived legal and technical risk were not significantly related to attitude. Implications for research and practice are discussed.

Influence Factors for Predicting Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting (수술 후 오심과 구토의 영향요인)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine influence factors for predicting postoperative nausea and vomiting(PONV) for postoperative 24hr. Participants were 332 general surgery(GS), neurosurgery(NS), orthopedic surgery(OS), obstetrics and gynecology(OBGY), otorhinolaryngology (ENT) surgical patients at one hospital in G city. Data were collected from December 2014 to December 2015, and the data were analyzed by t-test, $x^2$-test and logistic regression analysis. Multivariate analysis revealed that non smoking (p=.011), history of motion sickness (p=.020), history of PONV (p=.001), post operative pain (p=.001) were influence factors for PONV. Preoperative intensive management of PONV is necessary if there is a history of non smoker, history of motion sickness and history of PONV before surgery, and postoperative pain should be actively intervened.

  • Comprehensive Understanding of the Double-sidedness of Sexual Fantasy: focused on disability, crime and treatment. This study was to understand the double-sidedness of sexual fantasy. First, definition of normal sexual fantasy and abnormal sexual fantasy in former researches is discussed. Secondly, sexual fantasy's role as a risk factor in the context of obsessional discomfort or sexual crime. Thirdly, guideline and principle when using sexual fantasy as a tool of treatment. Fourthly, measuring and evaluating tools of sexual fantasy were reviewed and necessity of developing new scale was proposed. In addition, summary and ideas for further research were suggested.

  • Most of the vehicles currently under development and in operation are equipped with various IoT sensors, but some of the factors that cause car accidents are relatively difficult to detect. One of the major risk factors among these factors is black ice. Black ice is one of the factors most likely to cause major accidents, as it can affect all vehicles passing through areas covered with black ice. Therefore, black ice detection technique is essential to prevent major accidents. For this purpose, some studies have been carried out in the past, but unrealistic factors have been reflected in some parts, so research to supplement this is needed. In this paper, we tried to detect black ice by analyzing color images using the CNN technique, and we succeeded in detecting black ice to a certain level. However, there were differences from previous studies, and the reason was analyzed.

The Evaluation of Musculoskeletal Symptom and Patient Transport Work of 119 EMTs by Ergonomics Tools (119구급대원의 근골격계 증상과 환자운반 작업의 인간공학적 평가)

  • This study identified the complaint ratio of musculoskeletal symptom by 119 EMTs and investigated the work risk extent through ergonomics evaluation about the patient transport works, which cause work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) to 119 EMTs. For this, the complaint ratio of musculoskeletal symptom utilized questionnaire tool based on KOSHA Code H-30-2008 and the risk extent about the patient transport work evaluated by using ergonomics evaluation tools such as OWAS, RULA and REBA. According to the study result, 60.9% of 119 EMTs experienced musculoskeletal symptom. Among them, the symptom on back was the most common (36.1%). The work, which mostly causes WMSDs, has been found as patient transport work (48.4%). Among the patient transport motion, loading/unloading of ambulance cot to/from ambulance and the lifting of patient by stretcher were OWAS risk-level 3 and RULA/REBA risk-level 3 to 4. Among the patient transport environment, carrying patient on stairway using emergency mini-stretcher, moving patient in vehicle using spine board and piggy-back carrying or cradle carrying patient on stairway or slope way were OWAS, RULA, REBA risk level 3 to 4. It is suggested that immediate improvement in work postures for these works should contribute to prevention against WMSDs to 119 EMTs.
