Embedded systems require intensively complex and high power dissipating modules that have the capability of real-time high performance data processing, wide bandwidth communication, and low power consumption. However, the current battery technology has not been developed as much as meeting the requirements of portable embedded systems for long system lifetime. In this paper, new approach that operates with low energy consumption is proposed to overcome the situation while guaranteeing detection accuracy. The designed method associates a variety of detection algorithms hierarchically to detect events happening around the system. The Change for energy consumption characteristics is shown with change for probabilistic characteristics and those relationships are analytically explained from experiments. Furthermore, several techniques to consume low energy and achieve high detection accuracy are described, depending on the event static or dynamic characteristics.

The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was developed to quantify the classification ability of marker values (covariates) on the response variable and has been extended to survival data with diverse missing data structure. When survival data is understood as binary data (status of being alive or dead) at each time point, the ROC curve expressed at every time point results in time-dependent ROC curve and time-dependent area under curve (AUC). In particular, a follow-up study brings the change of cohort and incomplete data structures such as censoring and competing risk. In this paper, we review time-dependent ROC estimators under several contexts and perform simulation to check the performance of each estimators. We analyzed a dementia dataset to compare the prognostic power of markers.

Recently, discussions for the eradication of illegal shooting have been carried out in a socially-oriented way. The government has established comprehensive measures to eradicate cyber sexual violence crimes such as illegal shooting. Although the social interest in illegal shooting has increased, the illegal film shooting case is evolving more and more due to the development of information and communication technology. Applications that can hide confused videos are constantly circulating around the market and community sites. As a result, field investigators and professional analysts are experiencing difficulties in collecting and analyzing evidence. In this paper, we propose an evidence collection and analysis framework for illegal shooting cases in order to give practical help to illegal shooting investigation. We also proposed a system that can detect hidden applications, which is one of the main obstacles in evidence collection and analysis. We developed a detection tool to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed system and confirmed the feasibility and scalability of the system through experiments using commercially available concealed apps.

본 연구에서는 대용량의 데이터를 고속으로 입출력할 수 있는 데이터 저장 시스템 이 가져야할 요구사항을 분석하고, 그것을 만족하는 시스템을 설계하였다. 본 논문에서는 우선 고속 대용량, 랜덤 억세스의 조건을 만족시키기 위해 여러 대의 하드 디스크를 병렬로 연결하여 입력되는 데이터들을 나누어 저장하도록 하였다. 그러나 하드 디스크의 성능은 디 스크 아암의 탐색동작에 의해 크게 영향을 받으므로 실시간 요구 조건을 만족시키기 위해선 단순히 디스크의 수를 늘이는 것 외에 디스크 아암의 탐색 동작을 효율적으로 제어할 수 있 는 방법이 필요하다. 그래서 본 논문에서 설계된 시스템에서는 시스템을 MCU(Master Control Unit), DDU(Data Distribution Unit), SCU(Slave Control Unit), DSU(Data Storage Unit)의 4부분으로 나누고, 각 디스크의 디스크 아암 탐색 동작을 독립된 SCU에서 제어하 도록 하였다. 설계된 내용이 주어진 요구사항들을 만족하는 것을 확인하기 위해, 본 논문에 서는 이산사건 시스템을 기술하는 수학적인 언어인 DEVS 형식론을 이용하여 제안된 시스 템을 기술하고 시뮬레이션하였다. 그리고 시뮬레이션되는 과정에서 생산되는 사건들의 궤적 을 분석하였다. 분석결과 제안된 시스템은 앞에서 제시한 여러 요구사항들을 잘 수용함을 보았다.

2007년 초 발간될 한국형기준처분시스템의 종합안전성 평가의 일환으로 수행될 자연 재해 사건들에 대한 평가를 위해 전체 안전성 평가 프레임워크 내에서 자연 재해 사건 평가 방법에 대한 접근론이 개발되고 이에 의거해 Process Model(PM)을 개발하기 위한 국내외적 자료가 분석 평가되었다. 이로부터 FEP, 평가 방법론 등 Analysis Model(AM)의 일부분이 개발되었으며 향후 이를 바탕으로 안전성 평가 계산이 수행될 예정이다. 연구 결과 지진과 관련된 자연 재해 사건의 국내외 사례를 종합해 볼 때 극히 보수적인 종합 안전성 평가를 위해서는 처분장 주변에 위치한 단층대가 지진 발생 시 단열이 최대 10 m 정도 변화할 것으로 예상하는 것이 타당할 것으로 판단된다.

Although fatalities due to child abuse are frequently happened, there has been a dearth of research on the topic. The present research analyzes deaths due to child abuse in representative newspapers in order to examine incidences, causes, and characteristics of child abuse. The results showed that from 2000 to 2012 child abuse deaths occurred 141 cases. Most deaths due to child abuse were committed by single mothers, biological mothers, cohabiting women and stepmothers, and biological fathers. As regards the reasons of deaths due to child abuse, the frequency of newborn infant deaths as the result of abuse by single mother or single parent was the highest, and lack of parenting skills, postpartum depression, hardships of living and lack of financial abilities were followed. Also, subjects received extensive media coverage were crime compositions-stereotypes of child abusers, habitual and continual child abuse, lack of child abuse reporting and prevention system, and mild penalties. Finally, based on the results of the study, the implications to prevent and resolve deaths due to child abuse were discussed.

The contemporary incidents, in which hatred toward the socially disadvantaged is the cause, are constantly evoking archivists' social role and responsibility. This study notes the documentation strategy as a way to document contemporary incidents involving the socially disadvantaged as the main actors. The purpose of this study is to propose the documentation strategy for documenting contemporary incidents around the L Comics issue. As a theoretical study, it examines the concept and significance of contemporary incidents documenting and documentation strategies. Through an analysis of the issue's overview, features, key events, and focus groups, the context of the issue was identified, and relevant online records were investigated. In addition, through interviews with stakeholders and experts, opinions on the documentation strategy of the L Comics issue were collected. In conclusion, the study discusses the objectives, direction, principle, category, subject and considerations for documenting the issue, and proposes the documentation strategy for it.

Most researches in WSN-based parking management system used wireless sensors to monitor the events in a car parking area. However, the problem of car collisions in car parks was not discussed by previous researches. The car position details over time are vital in analyzing a collision event. This paper proposes a collision verification method to detect and to analyze the collision event in the parking area, and then notifies car owners. The detection uses the information from motion sensors for comprehensive details of position and direction of a moving car, and the verification processes an object tracking technique with a fast OBB intersection test. The performance tests show that the location technique is more accurate with additional sensors and the OBB collision test is faster compared to a normal OBB intersection test.

This study aimed to examine the influence of negative life events on delinquency through a dual-mediation of depression and impulsivity among out-of-school adolescents. For the purpose, using a sample of adolescents who were out of school at the point of participating in the 1st survey of the Panel Survey of School Dropouts and Model 6 of the PROCESS macro for SPSS, this study analyzed the direct influence of negative life events on delinquency as well as the mediation and dual-mediation effects of depression and impulsivity. The main results are as follows. First, out-of-school adolescents' negative life events had a significant positive influence on delinquency. Second, out-of-school adolescents' depression did not mediate the influence of negative life events on delinquency. Third, out-of-school adolescents' impulsivity mediated the influence of negative life events on delinquency. Fourth, out-of-school adolescents' depression and impulsivity dual-mediated the influence of negative life events on delinquency. Based on these results, this study discussed diverse strategies to prevent the delinquency of out-of-school adolescents who experienced negative life events.

This study was conducted the analysis of food safety incidents between January 1998 and October 2008 using media reports. Total number of food safety incident was 569 through the study period. The average of food safety incident per year and month was 51.7and 4.9, respectively. The top 10 food types involved in the lists of food safety incidents were as follows; marine products, meat and meat products, confectionaries, beverages, special nutritional food, teas, noodles, soy and bean paste sauces, and milk and milk products etc. The top 10 single foods also were as follows; ready-to eats, meat, confectionary, health support foods, steeping tea, infant formula, meat products, ginseng products, foods for body weight control etc. Of the total 569 incidents, 247 (43.4%) were related with chemical hazards involving pesticide, food additives etc, biological hazards were 126 (22.1 %), and physical hazards were 97 (17.0%) incidents. In analysis stage in the food chain at which breakdown in food safety occurred, primary production were the most common stage with 364 (64%) incidents, and incidents at the manufacture handling and distribution stages were with 151 (26.5%), and 44 (7.7%), respectively. The results of this study can be used as a better data for risk analysis or food safety strategies.
