Development of LNA module for Ka-band Communication Satellite Payload (Ka 대역 통신위성중계기용 저잡음증폭기 모듈 개발)

  • A LNA module, integrated microwave assemblies (IMAs) were developed for use in Ka-band Satellite Communication Satellite Payload that operates in the frequency range of 29,6 ${\~}$ 30.0GHz. The module will be placed directly behind their respective antenna feed horns to minimize the required waveguide and system noise figure impact. Two MMIC LNA Chips were used in the module design. The measured result shows that the module has 32dB gain and 2.4dB NF performance. The module size is 51m ${\times}$ 36m ${\times}$ 22 and the mass is 92g. The Noise Figure performance is the best result of currently available modules for satellite payload operating in the same frequency range. The module will be assembled using space-qualified process and tested for space qualification.

  • Pyro-shock measurement system in launch vehicle is necessary to validate structural robustness and to prepare environmental qualification criteria for launch vehicle systems. This paper describes design, development and function test of prototype pyro-shock recorder to be employed on KSLV-I in the near future. Due to the limitation of telemetry transmission rate, pyro-shock recorder acquires and stores the shock sensor data with high sampling rate in short period and sends the data to the KSLV-I telemetry system with lower data rate. Signal conditioning in pyro-shock recorder is designed to enhance signal-to-noise ratio through proper placement of anti-aliasing filter.

Performance Analysis of Scalar Adaptive Filter for Formation Flying (정렬비행을 위한 적응 스칼라 필터의 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, the performance of a scalar filter and a scalar adaptive filter are analyzed. In order to make indoor experimental environment similar to outdoor test, ultrasonic sensors are used instead of GPS. The scalar adaptive filter, which is continuously estimating velocity error covariance and measurement noise covariance by using adaptive method, is different from the scalar filter. Experimental results show that the scalar adaptive filter has better position estimating performance than the scalar filter by estimating above two parameters with an adaptive method.

  • In order to obtain continuous navigation information at low cost, we demonstrate, in this work, a position system which is constructed by integrating accelerometers with GPS. The proposed system eliminates vibration and noise elements of accelerometers by using Kalman filter. Calculating continuous navigation information is executed by unifying GPS position data and accelerations of moving and centripetal directions which affect the vehicle. Through simulations and experiments, we show that the performance of GPS can be improved by employing accelerometers. Our proposed system can provide stable and seamless position information where the GPS signal is unavailable due to obstruction like tunnels, and high buildings. The designed system can be implemented at low cost of circuit design and production, and satisfy various installation conditions.

  • In this paper, the broadband frequency double down-converter based on LC filter technologies has been designed and implemented, and its performances are introduced. The Designed frequency double down-converter is consisted with a low-noise amplifier, mixer, IF amplifier, LC filter, DC-block capacitor and RF-bypass capacitor. Especially, instead of active devices of a typical converter, the suggested converter designed using passive devices to provide both low-power consumption and low-cost model. As results of the measurement, the implemented frequency double down-converter realizes the broadband performance with the bandwidth of 100MHz (13~113MHz) at the center frequency of 63MHz, and its gain is approximately 40dB.

  • Happiness has been studied in sociology and psychology as a matter of grave concern. In this paper the happiness model that a new second -order systems can be organized equivalently with a Spring-Damper-Mass are proposed. This model is organized a 2-dimensional model of identically type with Duffing equation. We added a nonlinear term to Duffing equation and also applied Gaussian white noise and period sine wave as external stimulus that is able to cause of happiness. Then we confirm that there are random motion, periodic motion and chaotic motion according to parameter variation in the new happiness model.

  • Positioning system using satellite GPS is used at positioning, navigation, acquisition time information and other various field and taking an important part precision guided weapon such as missile. But commercial code(C/A code) do not have ECCM. Therefore commercial code is vulnerable to various jamming techniques and noise jamming from near station can attack even the encrypted military code(P code) GPS. In this paper, GPS jamming techniques, North Korean GPS jamming cases and anti-jamming GP S technologies are surveyed and described.

  • This paper examines the array antenna theory, basic relations between the array size (aperture) and its beamwidth and resultant patterns. This paper also provides array antenna system design criteria, mainly maximizing the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and its corresponding optimum array structure and weight functions. Explicit new expressions for array performance are also illustrated in terms of the array output SNR. An example is provided for a 37-element planar array to explicitly illustrate the beam-forming and nulling operations of the array. Fundamentals of sidelobe canceller (SLC) systems have been discussed along with a derivation of new SLC equations for optimum weights.

태양풍 관측기 시제품 개발

  • 태양으로부터 날아오는 고에너지 하전 입자들은 인공위성이나 지구의 통신장비에 심각한 고장을 일으킬 수 있다. 이런 사고를 방지하기 위해서는 사전에 태양풍의 물리량을 알아내는 것이 중요하다. 이를 위해 inter planetary scintillation 현상을 이용하여 태양풍의 운동을 예보하는 시스템을 전파연구소와 협력하여 개발할 예정이다. 그 첫 단계로 이 시스템보다 작은 규모의 시제품을 만들어 동작을 입증하고자 한다. 이 시제품은 각각 16개의 다이폴 안테나로 구성된 타일 3개로 이루어져 있다. 다이폴 안테나들의 중심주파수는 350MHz이고, 대역폭은 약10MHz이다. 48개의 다이폴 안테나들의 총 집광면적은 약 30m2이고, 타일 내의 다이폴 안테나들을 나선형으로 배열해 grating lobe의 크기를 감소시켰다. 각 안테나에서 나오는 신호는 저 잡음의 LNA를 이용해 증폭하여 beam former로 인가된다. Beam former는 안테나에서 나오는 신호의 위상을 조절하고 합쳐서 약 15도 크기의 빔을 만들고 전자적으로 천체를 추적한다. Beam former에서 나온 신호는 수신기에서 저주파의 신호로 변환되는데, 국부발진기를 조절하여 radio frequency interference에 능동적으로 대처할 수 있도록 하였다. 수신기에서 나오는 아날로그 신호는 digitizer를 최대 107sps의 빠르기로 2바이트의 디지털 신호로 전환된다. Labview 프로그램을 사용하여 3개의 타일에서 나온 신호를 합성해서 태양 근처의 전파원을 추적하도록 하였다.

A study high speed remote sensing image registration using deep learning-based keypoints filtering (딥러닝 기반 특징점 필터링을 이용한 원격 탐사 영상 정합 고속화 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 딥러닝 기반 특징점 필터링 방법을 이용한 원격 탐사 영상에 대한 영상 정합 (Image Registration) 고속화 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 특징 기반 영상 정합 방법의 복잡도는 특징 매칭 (Feature Matching) 단계에서 발생한다. 이 복잡도를 줄이기 위하여 본 논문에서는 특징 매칭이 영상의 인공구조물에서 검출된 특징점으로 매칭되는 것을 확인하여 특징점 검출기에서 검출된 특징점 중에서 인공구조물에서 검출된 특징점만 필터링하는 방법을 제안한다. 딥러닝 기반 특징점 필터링은 영상 정합을 위하여 필수적인 특징점을 잃지 않으면서 그 수를 줄이기 위하여 인공구조물의 경계와 인접한 특징점을 보존하고, 축소한 영상을 사용하며, 영상 분할(Image Segmentation) 방법의 결과에서 생기는 영상 패치 경계의 잡음을 제거하기 위하여 영상 패치를 중복하여 잘라 냄으로써 정합 속도와 정확도를 향상시킨다. 영상 정합 고속화 방법을 의 성능을 검증하기 위하여 아리랑 3 호 위성 원격 탐사 영상을 사용하여 기존 특징점 추출 방법과 속도와 정확도를 비교하였다. 딥러닝 기반 영상 정합 방법을 기준으로 하여 비교하였을 때 특징점의 수를 약 82% 감소시키면서 속도를 약 9.17 배 향상시켰지만 정확도가 0.985 에서 0.855 으로 저하되었다.
