Purpose: This study was conducted in order to determine the difference of Importance and Performance Related service management and feeding practices of teachers at mealtime in childcare centers. Methods: In December, 2013, questionnaires were completed by teachers working at childcare centers in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul. A total of 179 teachers responded to questions regarding perceived importance and degree of performing related service management and feeding practices at mealtime in childcare centers. Factor analysis and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) were used. Results: Four factors including 11 items were represented by factor analysis: 'Personal hygiene management', 'Feeding practice', 'Food material management', and 'Service at serving foods'. For 'Personal hygiene management', scores for perception on importance and performance were 4.42 and 3.84 points of 5 that were the lowest among factors. As a result of IPA, teachers were aware of the importance and performed well, 'Encouraging and praising children's eating habits at mealtime', 'Giving thanks before and after a meal', and 'Sitting and eating with children at mealtime' belonged to 'Feeding practice'; whereas they were not aware of the importance and performed insufficiently, 'Wearing the hygiene hat for serving foods', 'Wearing disposable gloves for serving foods', and 'Wearing the apron for serving foods' belonged to 'Personal hygiene management'. Conclusion: For children's health and safety in foodservice at childcare centers, personal hygiene management is very important when cooking as well as serving food. The results suggest that education targeting personal hygiene management is necessary for management of hygiene by teachers while serving food in childcare centers. In addition, guidelines on service management and feeding practice are needed for teachers working at childcare centers.

The purpose of this study was to improve satisfaction of university dormitory foodservice customers by analyzing the correlation between foodservice satisfaction and customer loyalty. The questionnaire was distributed to 510 students residing in a dormitory of a University located in Gyengsangbuk-do from 1st to 8th December, 2015. The average customer satisfaction score was 3.19/5.00. The category with the highest score was sanitation, followed by environment, food, reactivity, and menu. Male students showed significantly higher foodservice satisfaction score than females in terms of reactivity (P<0.01) category. Students living in the dormitory for over 2 years were significantly less satisfied with the dormitory foodservice in terms of menu (P<0.05) and reactivity (P<0.001) categories. The average customer loyalty score was 2.73/5.00. Scores for revisit intention, words-of-mouth intention, and intent not to switch were 2.80, 2.73, and 2.65, respectively. Revisit intention and words-of-mouth intention showed a significant (P<0.001) positive correlation with food, environment, menu, sanitation, and reactivity. Non-switching intention showed a significant (P<0.001) positive correlation with food, menu, and reactivity. After classifying customers into four groups according to customer satisfaction and loyalty, a comparison was carried out to determine satisfaction and loyalty by each customer stratum. In the "loyalist" group, satisfaction with sanitation and the advertise intention by revisit and words-of-mouth were significantly higher than in the other groups (P<0.001). In "defector" group, satisfaction with menu (P<0.001) and advertise intention by words-of-mouth (P<0.01) were significantly lower than in the other groups.
This study aimed to measure such features of emotional responses perceived by students as learning climate, department living stress, and perceived helplessness to analyze their effects on major satisfaction among students at the department of dental hygiene; to do this, a survey was conducted with 431 students, regardless of college year, who were at the department of dental hygiene in four colleges in Gyeonggi Province, Daejeon, and Chungcheong Province. An existing emotion scale which went through the generalization process was used to draw a multiple model in the combination form in order to collect emotional factors affecting college students' satisfaction with their major, which had existed as a hypothetical proposition, and make overall interpretation of relevance through the explainable, predictable modeling process by measuring emotional factors and phenomenal description of the level of general perception. The results showed that major satisfaction was very significantly affected by emotional features among students at the department of dental hygiene, which needs to be treated as an important factor to enhance expertise related to major learning and improve students' living.
In this study, the positive thinking, academic self-efficacy, and school adjustment of freshman dental hygiene students were identified. The correlation between each variable was identified and the influencing factors were investigated. Data collection was conducted from October 1 to October 21, 2019 on 213 freshman dental hygiene students in Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheong-do, Jeolla-do, and Gyeongsang-do regions. According to the study, the significant influence of freshman dental hygiene students' school adjustment was in the order of academic self-efficacy, positive thinking, and career program experience, and the most influential factors were academic self-efficacy, and the regression model explained was 47.7%. Since this study has been investigated and conducted on some freshman dental hygiene students, there is a limit to generalizing the results, subsequent studies will require continuous study of various variables for positive thinking and academic self-efficiency to school adjustment. However, based on this study, it is meaningful that it can be used as data to supplement the prior study related to school adjustment, and by presenting factors related to the school adjustment of freshman dental hygiene students, it is thought that it became basic data that confirmed the necessity of developing the school adjustment program.

The purpose of this study was to examine the cognition-perception factors and oral health promotion behavior of dental hygiene and non-dental hygiene students in an effort to find out factors affecting their oral health promotion behavior. After a survey was conducted, the collected data were analyzed. The findings of the study were as follows: 1. In regard to cognition-perception factors of oral health, the dental hygiene students were ahead of the others in self-efficacy, control of oral health and benefits of oral health behavior. The latter felt there were more barriers to their oral health behavior than the former. 2. As to the practice of oral health promotion behavior, that behavior was more prevailing among the dental hygiene students than the others. Both groups restrained themselves from liquor and cigarettes. 3. Concerning the correlation between oral health promotion behavior and related variables, self-efficacy and control of oral health had a significant correlation to oral health promotion behavior. Better self-efficacy and better control of oral health led to better oral health promotion behavior and better practice of its subfactors 1, 2 and 3. 4. As a result of checking the variables affecting oral health promotion behavior and the subfactors of the variables, self-efficacy had the largest impact on factor 1, factor 2, factor 3 and oral health promotion behavior, and factor 2 was under the greatest influence of control of oral health. Based on above-mentioned findings, self-efficacy was identified as the cognition-perception factor that had the largest impact on oral health behavior. Therefore how to boost self-efficacy should be considered when oral health promotion programs are developed, and research efforts should be channeled into finding out in which way self-efficacy could be bolstered in association with each kind of oral health promotion behavior.
