A comparative analysis of metadata structures and attributes of Samsung smartphone voice recording files for forensic use (법과학적 활용을 위한 삼성 스마트폰 음성 녹음 파일의 메타데이터 구조 및 속성 비교 분석 연구)

  • Due to the popularization of smartphones, most of the recorded speech files submitted as evidence of recent crimes are produced by smartphones, and the integrity (forgery) of the submitted speech files based on smartphones is emerging as a major issue in the investigation and trial process. Samsung smartphones with the highest domestic market share are distributed with built-in speech recording applications that can record calls and voice, and can edit recorded speech. Unlike editing through third-party speech (audio) applications, editing by their own builtin speech applications has a high similarity to the original file in metadata structures and attributes, so more precise analysis techniques need to prove integrity. In this study, we constructed a speech file metadata database for speech files (original files) recorded by 34 Samsung smartphones and edited speech files edited by their built-in speech recording applications. We analyzed by comparing the metadata structures and attributes of the original files to their edited ones. As a result, we found significant metadata differences between the original speech files and the edited ones.

Dose Planning of Forward Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy for Nasopharyngeal Cancer using Compensating Filters (보상여과판을 이용한 비인강암의 전방위 강도변조 방사선치료계획)

  • Purpose : To improve the local control of patients with nasopharyngeal cancer, we have implemented 3-D conformal radiotherapy and forward intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) to used of compensating filters. Three dimension conformal radiotherapy with intensity modulation is a new modality for cancer treatments. We designed 3-D treatment planning with 3-D RTP (radiation treatment planning system) and evaluation dose distribution with tumor control probability (TCP) and normal tissue complication probability (NTCP). Material and Methods : We have developed a treatment plan consisting four intensity modulated photon fields that are delivered through the compensating tilters and block transmission for critical organs. We get a full size CT imaging including head and neck as 3 mm slices, and delineating PTV (planning target volume) and surrounding critical organs, and reconstructed 3D imaging on the computer windows. In the planning stage, the planner specifies the number of beams and their directions including non-coplanar, and the prescribed doses for the target volume and the permissible dose of normal organs and the overlap regions. We designed compensating filter according to tissue deficit and PTV volume shape also dose weighting for each field to obtain adequate dose distribution, and shielding blocks weighting for transmission. Therapeutic gains were evaluated by numerical equation of tumor control probability and normal tissue complication probability. The TCP and NTCP by DVH (dose volume histogram) were compared with the 3-D conformal radiotherapy and forward intensity modulated conformal radiotherapy by compensator and blocks weighting. Optimization for the weight distribution was peformed iteration with initial guess weight or the even weight distribution. The TCP and NTCP by DVH were compared with the 3-D conformal radiotherapy and intensitiy modulated conformal radiotherapy by compensator and blocks weighting. Results : Using a four field IMRT plan, we have customized dose distribution to conform and deliver sufficient dose to the PTV. In addition, in the overlap regions between the PTV and the normal organs (spinal cord, salivary grand, pituitary, optic nerves), the dose is kept within the tolerance of the respective organs. We evaluated to obtain sufficient TCP value and acceptable NTCP using compensating filters. Quality assurance checks show acceptable agreement between the planned and the implemented MLC(multi-leaf collimator). Conclusion : IMRT provides a powerful and efficient solution for complex planning problems where the surrounding normal tissues place severe constraints on the prescription dose. The intensity modulated fields can be efficaciously and accurately delivered using compensating filters.

  • Recently, value added location based service and convergence monitoring and control system is growing. The cases include increasing usage of smart-phone for taking picture, wireless network, GPS and digital map. Especially, Smart-phone is appropriate for using image information and location information. However it is possible to be exploited for forgery and manipulation. So we experimented on transferring modified data on the smart-phone as image and location information in EXIF and researched the technology for data verification. In addition, we have designed security monitoring and control prototype considering axis-address matching analysis used geocoding, watermarking verification, encryption.

A study on characteristics of ZnSe epilayer by using surface photovoltage (표면 광전압을 이용한 ZnSe 에피층의 특성 연구)

  • We have investigated characteristics of ZnSe epilayer grown by molecular beam epitaxy(MBE) on semi-insulating(SI) GaAs by using surface photovoltage(SPV). The measurements of SPV were performed with illumination intensity and modulation frequency. The bandgap energy of ZnSe epilayer was determined from derivative surface photovoltage (DSPV). The five states were observed at room temperature(RT), and those states relate to the impurity and defect formed hetero-interface of ZnSe and GaAs during the sample growth. The observed states represented as a tendency of typical extrinsic transition on the increasing illumination intensity. The 1s and 2s signals related to the excitonic absorption were not observed at RT, but those were presented with the splitted of two peaks in the SPV at 80 K. From the modulation frequency dependence, we obtained the junction conductance and capacitance of the sample.

  • On regarding Problems on information security technology that have its rise in the Introduction of electronic money lately, security evaluation of the types of electronic money is important. Therefore in this paper I tried to analyse introduction viladity based on that,in korea. In perticular, there is a synthetical and systematical study on the security of eletronic money, on the viewpoint of choice combination of cryptography technology and the types of attacks on it. And in case of the electronic money that the criterion of efficiency and functionism is superior to that of security, I emphasize on the fact that it could be valid electronic money if it were supplemented by tamper resistance technology in middle-long term

  • Various efforts have been dedicated to obtain the negative impedances in microwave frequencies with semiconductor devices by many scientists for f: some passed decades, and as a result, many solid state microwave devices have been developed. But they all have much less maximum power ratings with respect to the vaccum tubes. In this paper, a MOSFET is proposed and studied, which have a periodic structure of multigates on the semiconductor via insulator. The hish electric field in the channel induces a voltage distribution on the gates by electrostatic coupling, and the polarization so induced between the gates is able to give a space modulation of the velocity of carriers or the current density in the channel, and as a natural consequence, a microwave amplifier with higher power ratings can be expected.

  • A Holographic data storage has some advantage of fast transmission, short access time and high storage capacity. However, it has several problems such as inter-symbol interference, inter-page interference and misalignment. Especially, for multi-level holographic data storage system, since one pixel contains more than 1bit, the system is more vulnerable to the error. In this paper, we propose a 3/4 modulation code which mitigate inter-symbol interference for 4-level holographic data storage.

  • If visible light communication is to be used against large background noise in indoor environment, low frequency noise should be avoided. To maintain the advantages of LED lighting while transmitting signals, LEDs should be dimmable and free from flickering effect. In this paper, the spectrum of transmission signal is shifted toward high frequency for this purpose. Specifically, we propose a subpulse-VPPM scheme, which can be designed using only digital components, and we implement a test-bed for performance measurement.

최적화알고리듬을 이용한 세기변조방사선치료의 정량적인 정도관리

  • 목적 : 세기변조방사선치료의 정도관리 중 선량 분포의 비교에 관한 새로운 정량적인 방법을 제시하였다. 이 과정 중에서 선량의 기울기가 큰 영역에서의 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 최적화 알고리듬을 사용하였다. 대상 및 방법 : 필름을 통해 측정된 선량분포와 컴퓨터를 통해 구해진 선량분포를 각각 5mm 간격과 lmm 간격의 해상도로 컴퓨터를 이용해 2 차원 선량분포로 구현한다. 그 후 두 선량분포사이의 차이를 각 선량분 포의 원점을 일치시킨 후 구해낸다. 이때 일반적으로 두 선량분포 사이의 차이는 선량의 기울기가 큰 영역에서 상당히 크게 나타나게 되는데 이것은 측정 장비의 원점을 구하는 과정에서 발생되는 이차원 상의 미세한 원점의 불일치 효과로 선량의 차이가 선량의 기울기가 큰 영역에서 더욱 커지기 때문이다. 이 불일치를 보정하기 위해서, 측정된 선량분포를 계산된 선량분포 위에서 lmm 간격으로 이동시켜가면서 선량의 차이를 계산하여 이 값이 최소가 되는 위치를 확인한다. 이때의 이동치는 가속기가 갖는 허용오차 이내에 있어야 하며 이 값은 2mm로 알려져 있다. 이 과정과는 독립적으로 이온 챔버를 통해 측정된 절대선량 값을 이용하여 두 선량분포 사이를 재 규격화한 뒤 차이를 구하게 되면 우리는 5mm 간격의 2 차원 절대선량 분포 비교를 실험상의 오차들 중 가장 크게 작용하는 원점 오차로 인한 오차를 제거한 뒤 수행한 것과 같은 결과를 얻게 된다. 여기서 계산된 선량분포의 해상도는 장비의 허용오차 보다 항상 작아야 한다. 결과 : 머리와 목에 환부를 갖는 여러 환자들에 대한 선량분포 비교 결과를 통해서, 측정된 선량분포와 계산된 선량분포사이의 허용오차 범위에 대한 일시적 기준을 마련하였다. 이 기준은 물론 더 많은 환자들에 대한 선량분포 비교를 통해 개선되어질 수 있다. 결론 : 측정 장비의 원점 불일치의 보정뿐만 아니라 측정 장비의 회전에 의한 오차 보정, 필름의 광학적 밀도에 관한 보정 등 여러 가지 계통적 오차들에 대한 보정들이 선량분포 확인과정의 이해와 그 기준마련에 도움이 되겠지만 우리가 다룬 원점 불일치에 비해서 상대적으로 무시할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 선량분포 확인의 최종목표인 3 차원 선량분포 확인의 실제 적용을 위한 연구가 최적화 알고리듬을 이용하여 실험 중에 있다.

Development of Nonlinear Low-Order Climate Model and Simulated ENSO Characteristics (비선형 저차 기후모델 개발과 모의된 ENSO 특징)

  • El Nino and Southern Oscillation (ENSO) presents a broad band (2-8 year) variability and slowly changing amplitude and period, which are respectively referred to as ENSO irregularity and ENSO modulation. In this study, we developed a nonlinear low-order climate model by combining the Lorenz-63 model of nonlinear atmospheric variability and a simple ENSO model with recharge oscillator characteristics. The model successfully reproduced the ENSO-like variations in the sea surface temperature of eastern Pacific, such as the peak period, wide periodicity, and decadal modulations. The results show that the chaotic atmospheric forcing can lead to ENSO irregularity and ENSO modulation. It is also suggested the high probability of La Nina development could be associated with strong convection of the western warm pool. Although it is simple, this model is expected to be used in research on long-term climate change because it well captures the nonlinear air-sea interactions in the equatorial Pacific.
