Study on the Building up the Laboratory Database: Case Study from the KOSEN OpenLab Service (사용자 참여형 데이터베이스 구축 연구: 코센 오픈랩 운영사례를 중심으로)

  • We studied the methods for boosting a user participating service using KOSEN(The Global Network or Korean Scientists and Engineers) OpenLab service. OpenLab is a laboratory database of all the fields of science and technology, and it is different from other services in that basically it makes users register their information volunteerly. User participation service is not easy, so we made several strategies like promotion, event, and connection to other services. In result, we could collect about 4,300 laboratory database. Because user participation is a key concept for the Web 2.0, this study would contribute to the operation of the related services, especially to the services for scientists and engineers.

  • Moving forward on smart society, change of the way to solve the spatial issue used in information society is required. In order to be competitive and sustainable spatial information service, existing "spatial information open platform" strategy needs to be transformed into "spatial information social platform". The requirement for the spatial information open platform to be socialized and evolved into the spatial information social platform is investigated with respect to the characteristics of social platform P. Savalle(2010) suggested. Based on the investigation, the definition of spatial information social platform is formulated. Several roles of the government as a platformer to create and manage the spatial information social platform are suggested.

  • Through Web 2.0 days, the end users express their opinions and thoughts for blogs and community spaces on the Internet. These opinions and thoughts are used to purchase products, however, users only refer to a few comments not overall opinions. Opinion Analysis System is an opinion search, developed from a natural language search, which analyzes the product's positive or negative evaluations using opinions of products and services on the Internet. In this paper, we suggest a syntactic analysis and inverse processing system that studies and processes 'Positive', 'Negative', 'Neutral' in addition to 'Inverse' information to analyze 'positive' or 'negative' for the core of sentences in Opinion Analysis Service.

Development of cardiopulmonary resuscitation nursing education program of web-based instruction (웹 기반의 심폐소생술 간호교육 프로그램 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate a web-based instruction Program(WBI) to help nurses improving their knowledge and skill of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Using the model of web-based instruction(WBI) program designed by Rhu(1999), this study was carried out during February-April 2002 in five different steps; analysis, design, data collection and reconstruction, programming and publishing, and evaluation. The results of the study were as follows; 1) The goal of this program was focused on improving accuracy of knowledge and skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The program texts consists of the concepts and importances of cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR), basic life support(BLS), advanced cardiac life support(ACLS), treatment of CPR, nursing care after CPR treatment. And in the file making step, photographs, drawings and image files were collected and edited by web-editor(Namo), scanner and Adobe photoshop program. Then, the files were modified and posted on the web by file transfer protocol(FTP). Finally, the program was demonstrated and once again revised by the result, and then completed. 2) For the evaluation of the program, 36 nurses who in K university hospital located in D city, and related questionnaire were distributed to them as well. Higher scores were given by the nurses in its learning contents with $4.2{\pm}.67$, and in its structuring and interaction of the program with $4.0{\pm}.79$, and also in its satisfactory of the program with $4.2{\pm}.58$ respectively. In conclusion, if the contents of this WBI educational program upgrade further based upon analysis and applying of the results the program evaluation, it is considered as an effective tool to implement for continuing education as life-long educational system for nurse.

An Embedded Web Server for Remote Monitoring the Semiconductor Equipment (반도체 장비의 원격 모니터링을 위한 임베디드 웹 서버)

  • A remote monitoring system of the semiconductor equipment is used to monitor or control operations of the equipment. Most of the conventional monitoring systems are based on the client-server model with the general purpose PC. Basically, it implies the difficulties in the system reliability and cost down due to its size and complexity. To overcome these difficulties, we suggest an embedded web server which is based on the low-cost microprocessor. It is designed for the monitoring or controlling a dedicated equipment only. To evaluate the feasibility of the suggested embedded web server, we have implemented a test-board with ATMega103 and programmed the basic modules using the AVR-GCC. Finally, we have tested its operations on the MS Explorer 6.0 environment.

  • 디지털 기기와 멀티미디어 제작 기법의 발전은 멀티미디어 제작 기간의 단축과 멀티미디어의 다양화를 가져왔다. 또한, 인터넷의 발달은 멀티미디어의 배포와 접근을 용이하게 하고 있다. 특히, 참여와 공유를 특징으로 하는 웹 2.0의 등장은 누구나 멀티미디어를 제작하고 배포할 수 있는 새로운 환경을 만들고 있다. 이러한 변화 속에서 인터넷, 케이블 TV, CD 등의 매체를 통한 유해물 범람과 유통은 크나큰 사회 문제로 대두되고 있다. 특히, 자기 통제력이 약한 청소년들에게는 더욱 더 큰 문제가 되고 있다. 따라서 멀티미디어의 유해성을 자동으로 분석하고 차단하는 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어의 내용 분석에 기반을 둔 유해 멀티미디어 차단 기술의 동향에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

  • 본 연구는 웹2.0의 기술로 각광받는 소셜네트워크 서비스를 위해 다양한 분야에서 적용 가능 할 수 있는 시맨틱 표현 모델을 제안하는 것이다. 소셜네트워크를 온톨로지를 이용하여 다양한 영역으로 추론하고 확장하여 서비스 제공자 중심의 일방적 소셜네트워크 제공이 아닌, 사용자가 질의에 대한 의미를 분석하고 결정하여 사용자 의도에 부합하는 상호작용 가능한 소셜네트워크 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 온톨로지 기반 시맨틱 표현 모델과 이를 적용하기 위한 전체 시스템 구조를 제안하고자 한다. 본 연구를 통해 소셜네트워크 서비스가 다양한 분야로 확대 적용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

An Implementation of Mobile Medical Reservation System using Geographic Information Service (지리정보 서비스를 이용한 모바일 진료예약 시스템의 구현)

  • Recently, Technical innovation has been implemented in a broad variety of industry fields to reach an ubiquitous society, with the object of popularizing u-Hospital, the mobile technology with no restriction to the place tends to be used positively in Health care fields. The existing mobile medical reservation system has the problem of not making good use of location information of users due to the interface based on text in the existing web pages. This paper proposes an mobile medical reservation system using geographic information service to solve the problems of current reservation system by using RIA(Rich Internet Application) technology applicable to Web 2.0 environment. Our proposed system also does the all required processes in a few page view, gets the differentiated service from the existing system by allowing efficient data exchange using XML, and expects the improvement of user friendliness by flexible user interface.

  • 오늘날의 인터넷은 웹 2.0 의 출현으로 인하여 콘텐츠의 생산주체가 서비스 제공자에서 서비스 수요자인 사용자들로 변화되고 있다. 이에 따라 사용자들의 경험은 콘텐츠의 품질에 큰 영향을 미치고 있으며 소셜 네트워크에서 취득한 콘텐츠는 검색으로 취득한 콘텐츠보다 신뢰를 받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 소셜 네트워크를 기반으로 사용자들에게 양질의 콘텐츠를 추천하기 위한 방법과 그 개발을 보인다. 소셜 네트워크는 XML 기반의 사용자 프로파일 기술 언어인 FOAF 를 이용하여 수집하며 이를 통해 사용자와 사용자 사이의 관계를 수집한다. 그리고 웹 콘텐츠 출판언어인 RSS를 이용하여 각 사용자들이 블로그 등을 통해 배포한 콘텐츠를 수집한다. 본 논문에서 보이는 시스템은 FOAF 와 RSS 를 기초로 입력된 키워드에 대해 사용자와 콘텐츠의 관계를 분석하고 이를 통해 콘텐츠를 추천하는 기능을 가진다. 본 논문에서 보이는 시스템은 전통적인 콘텐츠 추천 시스템과 달리 사용자가 속한 소셜 네트워크에서 콘텐츠 생산자가 대한 중요도가 반영되므로 보다 신뢰성 있는 결과를 얻을 수 있다.

An Analysis of Factors Influencing the Intention to Use Social Network Services (소셜 네트워크 서비스의 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • As a way to gather diverse information required for everyday living, the importance of social networks has been growing. Social network services have been spreading rapidly because of diffusion of the Internet, evolution of social network sites, and recognition of the importance of social networks. Recently, the social network service has been evolved based on a new paradigm, Web 2.0, pursuing participation and openness. Following the adoption of Web 2.0 technologies, the social network service allows users to make and maintain new relationships in a more convenient way. Users of the social network service tend to reveal their personal information, and share their ideas and content with other people; in the process they become aware of their existence, feel satisfaction with life and exert influence to others as a member of the society. This study uses higher order factor analysis to analyze factors that affect the intention of using the social network service. A research model was developed with second-order factors including perceived social presence, perceived gratification and perceived social influence. First-order factors are grouped by technical, individual and social factors. Smart PLS 2.0 was used to conduct empirical analysis. The analysis results supported the validity of the research model.
