U-health Bike Web Services for Reducing Carbon and Health Information (탄소 저감 및 건강 정보를 위한 U-health Bike 웹 서비스)

  • Recent days, the global warming problem due to excessive use of fossil fuels has been the world wide issue so that Korea government and developed countries make an alternative plan for eco-friendly and transportations by utilizing bicycles for health promotion. Existing Public Bicycle Rental Service Systems provide simple service such as bicycle rental management and tracking the location. However there is no user-side service for the information of the measure of carbon reduction, or use of bicycles. The proposed system in this paper provides users' health information, environmental information, personal information, counseling services and the measures of carbon reduction. The new system has been developed to carry out reducing carbon and growing green in terms of using bicycles by adopting Web 2.0 technology.

A Study on Automatic Text Categorization of Web-Based Query Using Synonymy List (유사어 사전을 이용한 웹기반 질의문의 자동 범주화에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the way of the automatic text categorization on web-based query was implemented. X2 methods based on the Supported Vector Machine were used to test the efficiency of text categorization on queries. This test is carried out by the model using the Synonymy List. 713 synonyms were extracted manually from the tested documents. As the result of this test, the precision ratio and the recall ratio were decreased by -0.01% and by 8.53%, respectively whether the synonyms were assigned or not. It also shows that the Value of F1 Measure was increased by 4.58%. The standard deviation between the recall and precision ratio was improve by 18.39%.

  • The area of the internet shopping mall heavily relies on new emerging information technologies, and it essentially requires delicate marketing model to support consumer behavior. RSS, which is one of the representative Web 2.0 technologies, is the system that distributes digital contents without any Web browser. RSS is expected not only to be very useful in online marketing but also to become actively applied on various areas such as online newspapers and blogs. AISAS model was proposed to complement the AIDMA model that did not cover the new changing customer behaviors of online commerce environment such as search and share. In this research, we propose a marketing model which utilizes RSS based on the AISAS model to support internet shopping malls. With our marketing model, internet shopping malls are expected to provide required services to the customers at every AISAS step. Moreover, it can provide integrated services by connecting all service components of each step. We utilized RSS in our model to implement those services because RSS has many advantages on supporting search and share of product information.

Consumer's Technology Innovation Adoption Type and the Participation Level of Multimedia UCC Services (소비자의 기술혁신 수용유형과 동영상 UCC 서비스 참여수준)

  • This study identifies the key determinants and technology innovation adoption type of participation in multimedia UCC services. This research examines how the major factors of perceived usability, self-expression, fun & entertainment, arousal, information sharing, other's positive reputation and interface easiness contribute to participation in multimedia UCC services. A sample survey of internet users was conducted, responses were collected from 629 respondents and consumer streaming data were analyzed. Some of the practical implications of the results are follows. This research have categorized that the types of technology adoption for the participation of UCC were innovator consumer, early adaptor consumer, early majority consumer, and late majority consumer. The results of multiple regression analysis indicated that perceived usability, interface easiness, fun & entertainment, self-expression, arousal, other's positive reputation and type of technology adoption posited a significant effect in multimedia UCC Services.

PLC Devices Fabricated on Flexible Plastic Substrate by Roll-to-Roll Imprint Lithography (유연 기판을 이용한 PLC소자 제작을 위한 롤투롤 공정 연구)

  • Demand for a low-cost, high-throughput, and high-resolution patterning method for fabricating devices continues to increase. The roll-to-roll (R2R) imprint lithography technique has received a great deal of attention as a means of fabricating next-generation devices. In this paper, we propose a fabrication method for polymeric planar lightwave circuit (PLC) devices that uses R2R imprint lithography. The proposed technique uses an elastomeric polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) mold. A Si wafer with micro patterns is used as the Si master. The PDMS mold is then replicated from the Si master. By applying a precise web tension and at a given web speed, we fabricated a micro-patterned PLC device. The insertion losses were 4.0 dB for a $1{\times}2$ optical splitter. As such, the proposed method of fabricating a PLC device by the R2R process was shown to be an effective solution.

  • UCC comes into the spotlight as keyword to lead forward web business with appearance of web 2.0 that has characteristic of 'participation, opening and sharing'. Despite continuous magnification of UCC's influence by spread of prosumer that consuming public participates actively in production and development of new platform, there is no clear business model of UCC. So, inside and outside of the country industry is trying various effort to break this situation. As basis research for establishment business model of UCC, this paper wished to examine the prospects of development by analyzed present condition of UCC service. That is, it drew problems of UCC service after examine concept and type of UCC, direction technology development and profit model through analyzed foreign countries and domestic example of UCC's service. It wished to watch the development direction of UCC service from that.

Development of Web-Based Infection Prevention Education Program For Children, Parents and Teachers (어린이, 부모, 교사를 위한 웹기반 감염예방 교육프로그램 개발)

  • This study was conducted to develop and evaluate a web-based infection prevention education program for children, parents and teachers. Research for development of the web-based education program was completed in four phases (analysis, design, development, and evaluation) from 1 February 2015 to 5 October 2015, and the completed website was named CHILD4HEALTH (http://uwcms.pusan.ac.kr). Educational contents pertaining to infection prevention were composed of three sections, children, parents and teachers. Subjects were divided into nine categories, animation, children's dictionary, with mom, music, games, quizzes, educational contents for parents, educational contents for teachers, school newsletters, and handouts. Six characters were developed to increase interest and educational effect. Program evaluation items comprised the website, reliability, and satisfaction. Website evaluation by parents revealed that ease of use was $3.77{\pm}0.70$, entertainment value was $4.07{\pm}0.27$, childproof was $3.82{\pm}0.67$, education value was $4.02{\pm}0.75$, and design features were rated $3.65{\pm}0.53$. According to teachers, ease of use was $3.98{\pm}0.37$, entertainment value was $4.00{\pm}0.17$, childproof was $4.34{\pm}0.60$, education value was $4.00{\pm}0.20$, and design features were $3.81{\pm}0.56$. Parents scored reliability and satisfaction as $8.33{\pm}0.62$ and $7.80{\pm}0.77$, respectively, while they were scored as $8.50{\pm}0.73$ and $8.10{\pm}0.74$ by teachers. Based on the results of this study, the developed web-based education program will help prevent infectious disease and facilitate development of future education programs regarding such diseases.

  • As the amount of information through growing Internet has dramatically increased recently, information professions generated metadata has been reached the limits of their role. Based on the value of information depends on the user, user generated metadata is a growing paradigm in the field of information organization today. This paper firstly introduces the concepts of user-generted metadata, and then examines the cases of user annotation and user tagging. Finally we discuss the effects and implications of user-generated metadata on the development of digital libraries.

  • Web2.0의 고도화와 소셜미디어의 진화에 따라 웹 기반 콘텐츠에 대한 다양한 활용이 시도되고 있다. 또한, IPTV 부분에서는 기존의 TV기반에서 Web기반, Mobile기반 서비스로 확산되고 있다. 이러한 멀티디바이스 환경과 웹기반 콘텐츠의 IPTV 활용 서비스를 위해서는 콘텐츠에 대한 정의와 이를 표현하기 위한 메타데이터에 대한 정의가 필요하다. 이를 위해서 관련 표준화 단체를 분석한 후 이들이 제공하는 콘텐츠 메타데이터의 연관관계를 비교 분석하였다. IPTV 서비스를 위한 콘텐츠 메타데이터는 TV AnyTime Phase1 을 바탕으로 각 표준기구의 네트워크 상황과 서비스 방식에 따라 선택적으로 적용하고 있으며, VOD 서비스를 위해서는 CableLab의 ADI 메타데이터를 적용하고 있다. 향후 멀티디바이스 환경에서 IPTV 서비스를 위해서는 메타데이터에 대한 확장 연구가 필요하다.
