This study is intended to propose quality criteria and Web metrics for usability quality evaluation of multimedia Web sites. Recently, applications of the Web sites are not limited to the area of industry and operating as it integrates the new technology. Also as information super highway becomes common with development or network technology, multimedia Web site is on the rise due to various use of multimedia attributes. Therefore this study expands to apply HTML based Web site quality evaluation studied in Software engineering, HCI, Hypermedia to multimedia Web site, and suggests new metrics by integrating flash usability which is expanding its portion in multimedia Web site lately. The Web metrics proposed in this study are verified by heuristic evaluation from a group of expert. It analyses the results of quantitative and qualitative qualify evaluation on Web Award Korea by comparing the award-winning, high-quality Web site with non-winning Web sites. This study can be used to establish guideline for high-quality multimedia Web site development in the future.

In the Web environment with a huge amount of information, Web page access patterns for the users visiting certain web site can be diverse and change continually in accordance with the change of its environment. Therefore it is almost impossible to develop and design web sites which fit perfectly for every web user's desire. Adaptive web site was proposed as solution to this problem. In this paper, we will present an effective method that uses a probabilistic model of DTMC(Discrete-Time Markov Chain) for learning user's access patterns and applying these patterns to construct an adaptive web site.

The Internet is now an integral part of the everyday lives of a majority of people. They are demanding web sites that offer credible information - Just as much as they want sites that are easy to navigate. But the online reality today is that few Internet users say they can trust the web sites that have products for sale or the sites that offer advice about which products and services to buy. Users want the web sites they visit to provide clear information to allow them to judge the site's credibility. Users want to know who runs the site; how to reach those people; the site's privacy policy; and how the site deals with mistakes. In the eyes of users all sites ate not equal. Users have different credibility standards for different types of sites. For news and information sites users want advertising clearly labeled as advertising. And users want the site to provide a list of the editors responsible for the site's contents, including the editor's email address. For e-commerce sites, user expectations and demands are just about as high as they can be. They say that it is very important that these sites provide specific, accurate information about the site's policies and practices.

본 논문에서는 웹 사이트에 접근하는 이용자의 패턴을 분석하여 정보 제공이 보다 용이한 구조로 자동 개선시켜 나가는 적응형 웹 사이트의 구현 방안을 제시한다. 특히, 본 연구에서는 기존 웹 사이트의 구조를 가능한 파괴하지 않는 범위 내에서 웹 사이트론 변경하고자 이용자의 접근 패턴상 연관성은 높으나 접근 경로가 긴 문서들을 추출하여 색인 페이지를 추가 생성한다. 이를 위하여, 먼저 대용량의 웹 서버 로그 데이터를 대상으로 하이퍼 링크 구조에 따라 필터링된 최후 전진 문서만을 가지고 데이터 시퀀스를 구성한다. 이러한 데이터 시퀀스에 새로운 순차 접근 패턴 탐색 알고리즘인 TPA를 적용함으로써 웹 문서간 충분한 지지도를 갖는 연관성 있는 문서들의 시퀀스를 구한다. 이와같은 빈발 시퀀스들에 대한 색인 페이지를 추가로 생성시켜주는 서비스를 통하여 이용자들의 효과적인 정보 접근을 지원할 수 있는 웹 사이트로의 변경이 가능하다.

The purpose of this paper is to study the mechanism of Acquisition of Customer Knowledge through Web Site at Global Electronic Commerce Times in Korea. The major findings of this paper is that the models of inter-business alliance network for EC based on contents, types of participating company, categories of business of participating company, modes of alliances, and concentrated industry or function are various and complex. Therefore all companies should know this result and reflect in their business strategy.

인터넷이 보편화되면서 그에 따른 정보량도 급증하고 있다. 웹문서량이 많아짐에 따라 웹문서를 구조를 이용하여 저장, 분석하는 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 웹사이트를 사용자가 평가하기 위해 계층적인 웹문서들의 관계를 사이트맵으로 구성하며 웹문서 내의 계층구조를 추출, 저장하고 그래픽적으로 표시하였다. 이를 위해 웹문서 내의 계층구조를 위해 W3기관의 공용으로 사용되는 Tidy 라이브러리를 이용하여 URL에 대한 HTML 문서를 얻고 이를 XML로 변환하였다. 변환된 XML 결과로 이진트리를 구성하고 계층구조를 표현하였다. 웹문서들의 사이트맵은 그래프형식과 계층구조형식으로 표현했는데 그래프형식을 이용하여 사이트맵의 연결구조를 파악할 수 있게 하였으며, 계층구조를 이용하여 웹문서간의 계층구조에 따른 정보를 얻을 수 있었다. 사이트맵을 구성하기 위해 URL들의 구조를 인접리스트로 저장하였으며, 방향성 그래프형식을 이용하였다. 또한 웹문서 구조를 계층적으로 구성하기 위해 웹문서의 그래프형식에 대해 BFS(Breadth First Search)방식을 이용했다. 또한 계층적 사이트맵을 이용한 평가항목을 이용하여 증권사이트에 대해 실험하였다. 실험을 통해 본 시스템이 웹사이트 평가에 유용성함을 입증하였다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impacts of e-service quality factors on customer satisfaction and behavior intention. This study also aims to examine the relationship between the variables of web site service quality variables (reliability, information, design, communication, entertainment, convenience), the customer satisfaction with web site, relationship intention and word of mouth intention. As the results, the study found that factors of web site service quality variables has a positive impact on customer satisfaction. And customer satisfaction also has a positive impact on relationship intention and word of mouth intention. At the same time, it was found that customer satisfaction had an effect on relationship intention through the mediation of word of mouth intention indirectly as well as directly. According to those results, marketing managers should develop different service strategies.

본 논문에서는 웹 관리자가 웹 사이트 분석을 위하여 웹 로그(web log) 분석을 통한 필요한 정보를 추출하고, 추출된 데이터를 분석하여 웹 환경을 개선시키고, 웹 사이트 방문자를 위해 더 좋은 서비스를 할 수 있는 새로운 웹 로그 분석 모델을 제안 한다. 이와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위해 본 논문에서는 웹 로그의 개념 및 유형, 웹 로그의 분석 원칙 및 웹 로그 분석 방법을 고찰하였다. 웹 로그 분석 도구로는 Web Log Expert를 활용하였다. 본 논문에서는 이 도구를 이용하여 웹 방문자 수에 대한 통계분석, 인기가 많은 웹 사이트에 대한 페이지분석 및 방문자 IP 분석 등을 실시하였다.

Now, plastic surgery has become the industry for beauty. In order to know the characteristics of high-visit web sites that many people have visited, 33 high visit websites of plastic surgery were compared to 60 benchmark sites of same industry. We selected 34 web site attributes that can be measured objectively from existing studies. For analysis, Multiple Discriminant Analysis(MDA) is conducted for searching what attributes divide two group definitely. The result of this study shows the dividing attributes fall into 2 categories like 'Community', 'Up to date'. Thus, we are able to conclude that high-visit plastic surgery web sites are community-centric site but not contents-centric and are maintained with tide up to date. The methodology employed in this study provides an efficient way of improving satisfaction of visitors of plastic surgery website.

Web usability is utilized as a standard for constructing and managing website to be useful by people of all abilities and disabilities. Link integrity is one of main criteria for web usability evaluation. Links that are found to be broken or pointing to irrelevant information lead gradual degradation of link integrity over time. This study has conducted investigation for link integrity of Korean public institution website. Among 49 website that are accessible by an automatic link checker software, 91.8% of the website has more than one broken links. Also average number of broken links is 50.5 that is 0.33% of the number of links. 29 websites consist of internal broken links. And 22 website do not provide any information on the missing page. Broken links enlower website confidence by reducing web usability as well as they prohibit web search engine not to provide information on the website. Therefore, web developers and managers need to be aware of importance of link integrity and prohibit web usability degradation by performing link validation as a web management task or periodically.
