Topic-Specific Mobile Web Contents Adaptation (주제기반 모바일 웹 콘텐츠 적응화)

  • Mobile content adaptation is a technology of effectively representing the contents originally built for the desktop PC on wireless mobile devices. Previous approaches for Web content adaptation are mostly device-dependent. Also, the content transformation to suit to a smaller device is done manually. Furthermore, the same contents are provided to different users regardless of their individual preferences. As a result, the user has difficulty in selecting relevant information from a heavy volume of contents since the context information related to the content is not provided. To resolve these problems, this paper proposes an enhanced method of Web content adaptation for mobile devices. In our system, the process of Web content adaptation consists of 4 stages including block filtering, block title extraction, block content summarization, and personalization through learning. Learning is initiated when the user selects the full content menu from the content summary page. As a result of learning, personalization is realized by showing the information for the relevant block at the top of the content list. A series of experiments are performed to evaluate the content adaptation for a number of Web sites including online newspapers. The results of evaluation are satisfactory, both in block filtering accuracy and in user satisfaction by personalization.

  • WAP을 기반으로 한 무선 인터넷 컨텐츠 서비스는 무선 인터넷 마크업 언어인 WML(Wireless Markup Language)을 사용하여 실현하게 된다. 휴대폰 사용자들은 무선 인터넷 서비스를 통하여 WML로 작성된 컨벤츠를 휴대폰을 통해 볼 수 있는 것이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 무선인터넷의 효율적인 컨텐츠 서비스를 위 하여 기존 웹 페이지를 표현하기 위한 HTML(Hypertext Markup Language)을 WML로 변환하기 위해 개발된 기존 제품들에 대한 비교분석을 통하여 효과적인 필터링 기능을 수행하는 시스템을 제안하였다.

  • 인터넷 사용자들의 기하급수적인 증가와 웹 페이지의 폭발적인 증가로 인하여 정보공유를 위한 인터넷에서 효율적으로 원하는 정보를 발견하고 이용하기에 매우 힘든 상황에 처해있다. 따라서, 이러한 문제점들을 근본적으로 해결하기 위한 노력의 일환으로 기계가 이해하고 추론할 수 있는 시맨틱 웹이 등장하였다. 시맨틱 웹과 관련된 여러 가지 기술들 중 시맨틱 웹 서비스는 사용자에게 현재의 인터넷 환경에서 제공할 수 있는 서비스보다 향상된 고품질의 서비스를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 삼고 있다. 이러한 시맨틱 웹 서비스는 웹 서비스의 발견, 실행 및 구성으로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 시맨틱 웹 서비스를 자동화하기 위한 노력의 일환으로서 시맨틱 웹에서 웹 서비스를 구성하는 문제에 대하여 언급한다. 시맨틱 웹 서비스 구성문제는 사용자의 요구사항을 충족시키기 위하여 다양한 웹 서비스들을 조합하는 문제이다. 그러나, WSFL, X-LANG 및 BPEL4WS 그리고, DAML-S와 같은 웹 서비스 구성문제에 대한 일련의 노력들에서는 사용자 요구사항에 대한 검증이나 서비스의 품질에 대한 사항들을 확인 및 제공할 수 있는 방법들이 없다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 시맨틱 웹 서비스 구성문제와 관련된 상기와 같은 문제점들을 해결할 수 있는 방법론을 제시한다. 본 논문에서 제시된 방법론에서는 시맨틱 웹 구성문제를 제약만족문제로 변환함으로써 제약만족문제에 있어 늘리 알려진 다양한 알고리즘들을 활용할 수 있는 장점들이 있을 뿐만 아니라 사용자들의 요구사항에 대한 검증과 서비스의 품질을 확인할 수 있는 장점들이 있다.의 위상변화에 대한 적응성을 높일 수 있도록 한다.   • With the emergence of Semantic Web and Web 2.0, the paradigm shift of the Web is on resource-centered services. That is, the focus now moves from having just rich resources to the meta-information of describing the resources. The relevant standards, RDF(Resource Description Language) and Topic Maps, of describing the meta-information are defined and adopted by W3C and ISO respectively. Describing meta-information in such a XML form could be burdensome to participants. Semantic Wiki extended from 1)WikiWikiWeb is proposed to deal with the problem. It enables users to generate RDF meta-information about Wiki pages with simple usages of the grammar. We discuss the way of improving interoperability between Topic Maps-based semantic Wiki papges and RDF-based ones. The method proposed by RDFTM task force is present with the usage of high-level Wiki grammar for facilitating low-level transformation.

  • The group management system with Wireless Sensor Network and android application is proposed in this paper. The proposed system was composed of personal devices with sensor nodes of WSN, manager device of android platform, and the web server. The sensor node used by each group member send a data packet to the manager device every 2 seconds. The leader device displays and transmits entire information to the web server. The web server represents these information through web page. Therefore, guardians can assure their group member's safety and security on the web page. The RSSI value of each sensor node converted by computed log-normal path loss model into distance value and displays on the manager device and the web page.

  • In this paper, We describe the XML-based Web content management system that supports the efficient dynamic content publishing environment. EasyCM is designed based on Cocoon2 that is the XML publishing framework. We propose the publishing mechanism to support the efficient dynamic content publishing environment to expand into the available dynamic content caching to Cocoon2. Publishing mechanism of EasyCM draws XML object from content repository, associates XML with XSLT, creates and caches content components preprocessing HTML transformation process, and publish web pages constructed into cached content component. For supporting more efficient caching, EasyCM supports also content component update, two update method that is immediately-update and delay-update for updated content component.

  • extensible Markup Language (XML) is a new markup language for data exchange on the Internet. In this paper, we propose a language extensible Rule Markup Language (XRML) which is an extension of XML. The implicit rules embedded in the Web pages should be identifiable, interchangeable with structured rule format, and finally accessible by various applications. It is possible to realize by using XRML. In this light, Web based Knowledge Management Systems (KMS) can be integrated with rule-based expert systems. To meet this end, we propose the six design criteria: Expressional Completeness, Relevance Linkability, Polymorphous Consistency, Applicative Universality, Knowledge Integrability and Interoperability. Furthermore, we propose three components such as RIML (Rule Identification Markup Language), RSML (Rule Structure Markup Language) and RTML (Rule Triggering Markup Language), and the Document Type Definition DTD). We have designed the XRML version 0.5 as illustrated above, and developed its prototype named Form/XRML which is an automated form processing for disbursement of the research fund in the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAISI). Since XRML allows both human and software agent to use the rules, there is huge application potential. We expect that XRML can contribute to the progress of Semantic Web platforms making knowledge management and e-commerce more intelligent. Since there are many emerging research groups and vendors who investigate this issue, it will not take long to see XRML commercial products. Matured XRML applications may change the way of designing information and knowledge systems in the near future.

The Development of Editor for Web Authoring Tool (웹 저작도구를 위한 에디터 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop editor applied to vector image for the distance learning system(FVU), which enables teachers effectively to construct self-page on the screen, to reduce the size of file for teaching, and to correct many different kinds of event which was already made in the previous, The design of the editor is used UML and the editor is named VUEditor. The first page which is needed in class can be constructed by using VUEditor. The contents using VUEditor ore exported into VUAuthor through Vector-transformation. Through this procedure, the size of image file comes to be reduced, it has a low bond width. In conclusion, this VUEditor enables user to construct the first page. even without using such applied program as Image Tool and Power Point, to solve the problem of network traffic for reducing size of the file.

  • This paper describes the data model and software development of XWS, an XWEET Web-wrapper System for generation wrapper program. To access information from various information sources, one has to convert and integrate source data into the same data model. XWS is developed as a part of XWEET project. We have implemented the XWS system using the Perl programming language stressing efficiency and ease-of-use. XWS has a few distinct features. First, data model and operator used for extracting information from HTML support a unified model of different views of HTML document. Second, it provides a user-friendly interface program to enable wrapper programmer to generate wrapper easily Third, XWS use the high-level script language designed by object-oriented methodology. In this paper, we also present the detail demonstration where it is useful for extracting article information from DBLP site.

  • This paper introduces the futsal video analysis system consisting of an analysis program using object tracking technology and a web server that visualizes and provides analyzed data. In this paper, small and medium-sized organizations and amateur players are unable to provide game analysis services, so they propose a system that can solve this problem through this paper. Existing analytical systems use special devices or high-cost cameras, making them difficult for users to use. Thus, in this paper, a system is designed and developed to analyze the competitors' competitions and visualize the data using flat images only. Track an object and calculate the accumulated values to obtain the distance per pixel of the object and extract speed-related data and distance-based data based on it. Converts extracted data to graphs and images through a visualization library, making it convenient to use through web pages. Through this analysis system, we improve the problems of the existing analysis system and make data-based scientific and efficient analysis available.
