This paper presents a method which enables raster maps to be used like vector maps in the wed environment and develops a raster map viewer which can be executed in the wed browser. Through the preprocessing process the coordinates attached to each object in the raster map can be used as vector information. The raster map viewer makes the spatial analysis possible using the attribute database connected to the coordinates of each object, This map viewer makes the Web GIS can be constructed at the lower cost because the viewer uses the characteristics of raster map. And the map viewer has merit point of easily developing a component for spatial analysis.

Recently, Web map service is actively accomplished in both private companies and public offices. As a platform, it exists variously from desktop to smartphone. The technology being used has a trend to develop continuously. Also, Web map system provides various open API for people who use geospatial service and data mashup. In this paper, RIA technology which is popularly used recently in web map service w ill be applied to introduce the functions different language map services are mostly using. Based on users' feeling about different web browser's speed, test and analysis have been accomplished. The result is that there are different characteristics according to different functions such as JavaScript, Silverlight, Flex. Actual test has been personally carried out on map service in Seoul GIS portal system. The comprehensive conclusion is that Silverlight has more outstanding function compared with other RIA techniques under the test environment.

웹 상에서 전자지도 서비스를 제공하기 위한 시스템으로써 클라이언트인 벡터지도 Viewer와 서버인 지도 서버, 주소-좌표 변환 서버를 개발하였으며, 또한, 웹 환경에 적합한 지도 데이터의 구축을 위해 지도 가공 및 구축 자동화 프로그램을 개발하였다. 그리고, 한국통신에서 현재 서비스 중인 전자 전화번호 서비스와의 결합을 통한 보다 진보된 형태의 서비스 제공을 위하여 연동 기능을 구현하였다. 본 시스템의 설계 및 구현은 불특정 다수를 대상으로 하는 서비스의 특성을 고려하여 웹 환경에 적합하도록 데이터의 전송 속도 문제, 동적인 사용자 인터페이스 제공, S/W 설치 부담 제거, 시스템의 효율적인 유지 보수 및 향후 시스템 확장 등에 초점을 맞췄다.

본 연구를 통해 개발된 웹기반 가뭄아틀라스에 탑재되는 가뭄인벤토리 지도서비스 모듈은 GIS기반 가뭄상황관리를 위해 일정 수준의 가공이 필요한 다양한 GIS 가뭄분석정보를 제공하여 가뭄 대응 업무 담당자가 공간에 기반한 가뭄분석 업무에 사용함을 주목적으로 해당 서비스 모듈을 개발하였다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 지도서비스 모듈은 JAVA 언어로 개발되었으며, 오픈소스 기반의 Geosever와 Openlayer를 적용하여 167개 시군을 대상으로 가뭄 관련 분석지도를 제공하는 서비스 모듈이다. 지도 레이어별 가시화를 통한 중첩분석이 가능하며, 사용자 필요 시 해당 분석지도를 다운로드 받을 수 있도록 개발을 진행하였다. 상세 제공 정보로는 가뭄 분석을 위한 면적정보와 통계정보로 이원화하여 서비스를 제공하며, 개별 가뭄인벤토리 지도는 지역별 차트정보와 속성DB 테이블을 같이 지도화면에 표출한다. 주요기능으로는 가뭄인벤토리 지도서비스 창을 활성화하여 사용자가 필요한 가뭄인벤토리 지도를 체크하면 가뭄아틀라스 지도화면에 가시화된다. 체크된 가뭄인벤토리 지도는 테이블정보 표출과 자료 다운로드 기능을 제공한다. 해당 서비스 모듈의 관리 및 사용 방법으로는 가뭄인벤토리 지도데이터를 GIS 데이터셋화하여 Geoserver에 로딩하며, 로딩된 지도데이터는 WMS(web tilemap service) 포맷으로 변환한 뒤, 각각의 분석지도가 가지고 있는 속성DB정보를 고려해 지도 스타일을 적용하였다. 웹 브라우저 표출방법으로는 Openlayer 기반으로 GeoWebCache를 생성해 가뭄인벤토리 지도를 웹기반 가뭄아틀라스 상에 표출한다.

The purpose of this study was to establish an analytical framework and quantitative methodologies to analyze 'the cognitive effects of web map use' and to empirically test it. This experimental design was established based on the literature about spatial cognition. Accuracy, reaction time, and confidence within each participant were compared to measure the cognitive effects of web map use for wayfinding. Geometric accuracy of the cognitive maps was estimated and calculated based on the bidimensional regression. The experimental results showed that characteristics of map users and repetition of map use rather than types of map representation did significantly affect accuracy and reaction time of spatial cognition by using web maps. And confidence appeared to be low when the participants referred to both 2D and 3D maps for wayfinding tasks on the web maps. Understanding spatial cognition of web map users, which was suggested in the study, will help cartographers make more effectively-communicated maps.

웹 문서를 분류하는 목적은 특정 주제별로 중요한 문서들을 구분하려는 것과 사용자의 선호도를 바탕으로 개인화를 하려는 것으로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 특히, 웹의 효율적인 탐색을 위해 사용자가 관심 있어 할 웹 문서를 분류하는 것은 중요하다 일반적으로 하나의 웹 문서는 특징 추출방법에 의해 문서 벡터로 표시되며 사용자의 선호여부나 주제번호를 클래스로 삼는다. 사용자가 선호도를 표시한 웹 문서를 사용하여 새로운 웹 문서의 선호 여부를 예측하기 위해 자기 구성지도(SOM)를 사용하면, 시각적으로 구조를 보여주어 데이터 사이의 관계를 효과적으로 이해할 수 있다. 그러나 SOM은 노드의 개수와 구조를 자동적으로 결정하지 못하는 단점이 있기 때문에, SOM의 장점을 활용하면서 자동적으로 구조를 결정하기 위해 구조적응 자기구성지도(SASOM)를 이용한다. 보다 나은 성능과 다양한 해석을 위해, 여러 개의 SASOM을 서로 다른 특징추출 방법을 이용하여 학습시킨 후 사용자가 주관적으로 분류기의 중요도를 결정할 수 있는 퍼지적분을 사용하여 결합하였다. UCI Syskill & Webert 데이터에 대한 실험결과 기존의 DT, MLP, naive Bayes 분류기 보다 향상된 성능을 보였다.

웹의 폭발적인 성장으로 다양한 형태의 지역관련 정보가 웹 공간에 포함되어 있으며, 기존의 지리정보시스템에서 제공하지 못한 실생활의 다양한 지역 정보를 얻을 수 있게 되었다. 하지만, 사용자가 지역 정보를 얻기 위해서는 현재의 키워드 기반의 웹 검색 엔진을 사용하여 얻은 다수의 검색 결과와 이를 맵과 관련시켜 정리해야 하는 불편함이 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 본 논문에서는 특정지역에 대한 정확한 지리정보를 갖고 있는 수치지도와 방대한 지역정보를 갖고 있는 웹 공간을 융합하여 특정지역과 관련된 지역정보를 효율적으로 제공할 수 있는 시스템인 "경기21서치 2.0"을 제안한다. 본 시스템에서는 웹을 통해 분석한 지역의 특징 및 지역 간의 의미적 관련성을 키워드를 통해 지역지식 네비게이터로 구성하고, 이를 수치지도에 기반한 맵 인터페이스와 연동하여 보다 효율적인 지역 웹 정보검색을 지원한다.

본 연구에서는 사회학 분야 웹 정보원을 대상으로 동시링크분석을 실시하여 특정 학문분야의 지적구조를 분석하고, 검색엔진별 지적 구조의 차이를 분석함으로써 웹 정보원의 특성을 살펴보았다. 세 개의 검색엔진을 대상으로 지적구조의 차이를 비교한 결과, 웹 정보원 지도에서 전체적인 지적구조는 비슷하게 나타났지만, 몇 개의 웹 정보원의 경우에는 소속군집이 다르게 나타난 경우도 있었다. 그리고 Altavista와 AlltheWeb은 지도상의 웹 정보원 분포에 있어서 거의 유사한 구조를 보여주었다.

Recently, many WMS(Web Map Services) and POI(Point of Interest) services come to be in service on the Internet using Web GIS(Geographic Information System) as Information Technology and computer H/W are evolved faster in its speed, network bandwidth and features. The Web GIS is, however, limited and constrained on the specification of its system configuration, the service class provided and the presentation methodology of a map. As the mobile Internet becomes popular in mobile service, Web GIS service on mobile environment is strongly required and to be provided by location based WMS(Web Map Service) on a mobile client such as PDA with location information of the user. In this paper, we made an effort to design and implement a GIS computing environment by thin client for mobile web map service. For implementing the thin client GIS computing environment. we were using NGII's(National Geographic Information Institute's) DXF map, representing the map by SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics) recommended by OGC(OpenGis Consortium), and adapting standard XML web service to provide the thin client GIS service on PDA by applying the location information of the user in realtime with GPS on mobile environment.

Recent spread of GIS and the increasing demand of spatial data have brought about the development of web GIS. In addition to sharing and mapping spatial data, web GIS is also required to provide spatial analytic functions on the web. The FOSS(free and open source software) can play an important role in developing such a system for web GIS. In this paper, we proposed a web-based system for raster data analysis using map algebra. We employed GRASS as an open source software and implemented the GRASS functionalities on the web using java methods for invocation of server-side commands. Map algebra and AHP were combined for the raster data analysis in our system. For a feasibility test, the landslide susceptibility in South Korea was calculated using rainfall, elevation, slope angle, slope aspect, and soil layers. It is anticipated that our system will be extensible to other web GIS for raster data analysis with GRASS.
