An Ontology Population Model based on ISO/IEC 11179 (ISO/IEC 11179 기반의 온톨로지 확장 모델)

  • This paper proposes an ontology population model based on ISO/IEC 11179. Much research has recently been done on harmonizing Web 2.0 and the Semantic Web, and the harmonization is defined as Web 3.0. The most important issues for realizing Web 3.0 include defining ontology schemas and populating instances for ontologies. To resolve the issue, Web ontology schemas should be precisely defined, and a method for populating Web ontology from Web resources should be developed. This paper proposes a Web ontology population model based on ISO/IEC 11179 - Metadata Registry (MDR), which is the international standard, developed to manage and use common standard concepts.

  • Since simple and convenient user interface, the Web is diffused widely. For integrating Web as a view of user interface and CORBA, CORBA object is made in applet, which is sent to Web browser in Client and executes by Web browser. To use CORBA Event Service in Web without violating a security constrains of applet, we need a interoperability of Event Service. This paper investigates interoperability of event channels of the event service of CORBA. We present three different methods that make one event channel. Pros and cons of each method are described. All mentioned approaches have been implemented in Java. An experimental performance evaluation has been carried out and evaluation results are also given.

  • Web service, the next generation of distributed computing, is a distributed solution that handles all businesses through standard techniques in the internet. Web service performs its function using web interface. The goal of this thesis is to reduce network overloading. to manage WSDL efficiently, and to provide convenience to service users by simplifying the web service procedure. Web service system proposed in this thesis is based on WSDL Repository that can include UDDI and store WSDL. WSDL Repository manages WSDL by file system and has UDDI Registry embedded within it. Because this system is based on WSDL Repository, Web service supplier must register WSDL when he registers services. Then, users can receive WSDL too when he searches for services.

  • Information providers on WWW have been rapidly increasing, and they provide a vast amount of information in various fields, Because of this reason, it becomes hard for users to get the information they want. Although there are several search engines that help users with the keyword matching methods, it is not easy to find suitable keywords. In order to solve these problems with a specific domain, we propose an intelligent information agent(HHA-la : HongIk Information Agent) that converts user's q queries to forms including related domain words in order to represent user's intention as much as it can and provides the necessary information of the domain to users. HHA-la h has an ontological knowledge base of animal domain, supplies necessary information for queries from users and other agents, and provides relevant web page information. One of system components is a WebDB which indexes web pages relevant to the animal domain. The system also supplies new operators by which users can represent their thought more clearly, and has a learning mechanism using accumulated results and user feedback to behave more intelligently, We implement the system and show the effectiveness of the information agent by presenting experiment results in this paper.

A Study on the Copyright Education using Mobile Web : Focusing on SNS (모바일 웹을 이용한 저작권 교육에 관한 연구 : SNS를 중심으로)

  • With the development of SNS, many different areas including education are utilizing SNS in various ways. And there are more and more learners and teachers who intend to use it for learning. Lately, however, the students using SNS environment hardly consider the issues regarding copyright, so this is raising even legal issues, too. Therefore, this study has examined the degree of recognition of undergraduates on copyright and extracted the general cases of copyright which undergraduates may face in the actual class or everyday life. The cases extracted are expressed in the rules of "If ~ Then", stored in the knowledge base of rules in the rule-based system, and realized as the mobile web. And regarding the copyright-related problems inputted by the students, similar rules are drawn from the knowledge base of rules so that they can solve copyright-related problems anytime, anywhere with the mobile web in a self-directed way.

  • This research aims to suggest web-based 3D face modeling system for hairline modification surgery. As public interests in beauty regarding face escalate with era of wide persoanl mobile smart iCT devices, need for medical information system is urgent and increasing demand. This research attempted to build 3D facing modeling library deploying conventional technology and proprietary software available. Implications from the our experiment found that problems and requirement for developing new web based standard. We suggest new system from our experiment and literature review regarding relevant technologies. Main features of our suggested systems is based on studies regarding hair loss treatment such as medical science, beauty studies and information technology. This system processes input images of 2D frontal and profile pictures of face into 3D face modeling with mesh-data. The mesh data is compatible with web standard technology including SVG and Canvas Tag supported natively by HTML5.

An Efficient Storage Schema Construction and Retrieval Technique for Querying OWL Data (OWL 데이타 검색을 위한 효율적인 저장 스키마 구축 및 질의 처리 기법)

  • With respect to the Semantic Web proposed to overcome the limitation of the Web, OWL has been recommended as the ontology language used to give a well-defined meaning to diverse data. OWL is the representative ontology language suggested by W3C. An efficient retrieval of OWL data requires a well-constructed storage schema. In this paper, we propose a storage schema construction technique which supports more efficient query processing. A retrieval technique corresponding to the proposed storage schema is also introduced. OWL data includes inheritance information of classes and properties. When OWL data is extracted, hierarchy information should be considered. For this reason, an additional XML document is created to preserve hierarchy information and stored in an XML database system. An existing numbering scheme is utilized to extract ancestor/descendent relationships, and order information of nodes is added as attribute values of elements in an XML document. Thus, it is possible to retrieve subclasses and subproperties fast and easily. The improved query performance from experiments shows the effectiveness of the proposed storage schema construction and retrieval method.

  • 감성 연구의 생리, 심리, 동작 분석 등의 과정에서 발생하는 문서, 데이터, 화상, 그림, 그래픽 등의 자료 공유에 인터넷을 적용하는 것은 매우 유망하다, 본 연구에서는 현재의 인터넷 (또는 인트라넷) 환경을 고려하여 Ultra 2 DB 서버, Sun Solaris (UNIX) OS, UniSql DBMS, Apache Web 서버로 시스템을 구축하였다. 이 시스템을 이용하여 웹기반 감성데이터 베이스 시제품을 구축하여 각종 감성자료를 보급하는 체계를 1차 완료하였으며, 도메인(www.gamsung.or.kr)을 등록하여 서비스를 실시하고 있다. 이 시스템에는 1단계 감성공학기술개발 사업의 35개 연구보고서, 1단계 연구결과로서 생산한 262개 감성지표, 2단계(전반기) 연구사업의 78개 감성지표, 일본의 인간감각계측 및 응용기술개발 중심으로 생산하나 100개 감성지표, 음성데이터, 인체측정데이터, 얼굴표정데이터와 설문데이터 등의 감성데이터와 감성공학 연구자 인력, 국내제조업체 정보, 참고문헌, 감성 정보물 등을 DB화하여 인터넷을 통하여 조회, 검색할 수 있도록 하였다. 뿐만 아니라 현재 진행되고 있는 감성공학기술개발에 대한 각종 정보를 제공하고 있으며 감성공학의 기술 동향에 대해서도 소개하고 있다. 이는 한국인의 감성 연구에 적합한 감성공학 데이터 베이스 시스템 구축의 발판을 마련하였으며, 향후 소비자의 감성을 예측하고, 이를 시스템 설계에 반영할 수 있으므로 인간중심의 제품개발에 큰 기여를 할 것으로 기대된다.

Knowledge Discovery Process In Internet For Effective Knowledge Creation : Application To Stock Market (효과적인 지식창출을 위한 인터넷 상의 지식채굴과정 : 주식시장에의 응용)

  • 최근 데이터와 데이터베이스의 폭발적 증가에 따라 무한한 데이터 속에서 정보나 지식을 찾고자하는 지식채굴과정(Knowledge discovery process)에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 특히 기업 내외부 데이터베이스 뿐만 아니라 데이터웨어하우스(data warehouse)를 기반으로 하는 OLAP 환경에서의 데이터와 인터넷을 통한 웹(web)에서의 정보 등 정보원의 다양화와 첨단화에 따라 다양한 환경 하에서의 지식 채굴과정이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 인터넷 상의 지식을 효과적으로 채굴하기 위한 지식채굴과정을 제안한다. 제안된 지식채굴과정은 명시지(explicit knowledge)외에 암묵지(tacit knowledge)를 지식채굴과정에 반영하기 위해 선행지식베이스(prior knowledge base)와 선행지식관리시스템(prior knowledge management system)을 이용한다. 선행지식관리시스템은 퍼지인식도(fuzzy cognitive map)를 이용하여 선행지식베이스를 구축하여 이를 통해 웹에서 찾고자 하는 유용한 정보를 정의하고 추출된 정보를 지식변환시스템(knowledge transformation system)을 통해 통합적인 추론과정에 사용할 수 있는 형태로 변환한다. 제안된 연구모형의 유용성을 검증하기 위하여 재무자료에 선행지식을 제외한 자료와 선행지식을 포함한 자료를 사례기반추론 (case-based reasoning)을 이용하여 실험한 결과, 제안된 지식채굴과정이 유용한 것으로 나타났다.
