A Web-based Monitoring System of Class Status (웹기반 학업상태모니터링시스템의 구현)

  • Computer based teaming system has considerable influence upon teaching technique and teaming efficiency. It is possible to make a learner-oriented teaching in the online learning system. In this case, it can provide easily and immediately learner with various information that relate to class status, for example, attendance, examination score and so on. In the case of conventional off-line education, however, it is inefficient to provide the information of class status for learners compared with on-line system. In this paper, we propose a monitoring system of class status which can provide various information of teaming status for learners, instructors and advisors. It is useful to advise student's course work and job. The main purpose of this system is to prepare a monitoring system of class status on a web based e-class system. It achieves self-monitoring systems which provide a feedback data as a result of class for students.

  • This study is design and implementation of diagnosis module using item response theory to assess level of student's knowledge in web-based instruction systems. Item response theory uses responses to items on a test or survey questionnaire to simultaneously locate both the items on the latent trait defined by the set of items while simultaneously scaling each item on the very same dimension. Existing method of measurement in web-based instruction system provided dichromatic learning after to be assess just with the total scores of exam. This measurement has an error that do not consider the level of student's knowledge. Moreover, this method can't perform an exact diagnosis of student knowledge and make student modeling to construct intelligent tutoring system. In this study, we present that design and implement a diagnosis module using item response theory to assess level of student's knowledge in web-based instruction systems

  • The group counseling with their friends who have the same problem is more useful to solve the problem of the elementary school students, and is desirable to use the abilities of group as class in the respect of problem solution and mental graduation. But, in the school nowadays, because there is not enough space and time to have group counseling and is no much information about it, the group counseling hasn't made well even though there is will. Therefore, we need a system for group counseling adding cyber counseling in order the passive students can take part in the counseling well and we can overcome restriction of time and space. So, in this paper, the reasons and problems why the group counseling is hardly made was found and in order to solve the problems and to get the effects of the group conseling easily, implemented web based group coulseling system, adapted it in the school, analyzed the results. Consequently, I could supply some disadvantages of the face to face coulseling to advantages through the web based group counseling system.

  • 본 논문에서는 시각화 시스템의 설계와 평가를 통해 시각화 시스템이 어떻게 알고리즘 학습을 도울 수 있는가에 대해 기술한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 트리 시각화 시스템은 자바로 구현하였으며 아래와 같은 특징을 제공한다. 1) 동기적, 비동기적인 상호작용 제공 2) 강의실, 연습실, 평가실의 구분 학습과 그래픽 요소 및 애니메이션의 제공 3) 사용자의 입력에 대한 즉각적인 인터랙션의 제공 4) 자바가 가능한 일반적인 웹 브라우져 상에서의 구동 등을 특징으로 한다. 본 논문에서는 여러 알고리즘 가운데 AVL 트리와 Red-Black 트리에 대한 시각화 시스템을 설계한다. 개발된 시각화 시스템은 알고리즘 학습에 활용하였으며, 평가를 통해 웹 기반 시각화 시스템을 이용한 수업이 전통적 수업에 비해 효과적이라는 결과를 도출하였다.

  • Recently, according to the appearance of various virtual websites using multimedia technologies, the internet applications in engineering education have drawn muchinterests. But unidirectional communication, simple text/image-based webpages and tedious learning process without motivation, etc. have made the lowering of educational efficiency in cyberspace. This paper presents a virtual laboratory system which can be creating efficiencies in the learning process. The proposed virtual laboratory system for digital logic circuits provides interactive learning environment under which the multimedia capabilities of world-wide web can be enhanced. The virtual laboratory system is implemented to describe the on-campus laboratory, the learners can obtain similar experimental data through it. The virtual laboratory system is composed of four important components : principle classroom, simulation classroom, virtual experiment classroom and management system. Learning efficiencies as well as faculty productivity are increased in this innovative teaching and learning environment.

  • In this paper we proposed dynamic adaptive model based on discrete probabilistic distribution functions and user's profile for web media systems(web based hypermedia systems). The model represented that the application domain is modelled using a weighted direct graph and the user's behaviour is modelled using a probabilistic approach that dynamically constructs a discrete probability distribution functions. The proposed probabilistic interpretation of the web media structure is used to characterize latent properties of the user's behaviour, which can be captured by tracking user's browsing activity. Using that distribution the system attempts to assign the user to the best profile that fits user's expectations.

  • As basic data about students' career education in high school are being managed only in forms of NEIS, which is supported by Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, and the information for career education that homeroom teachers have operated by off-line system, it is hard to use them as practical decision support system for students' career education. In this study, we intend to design and embody web-based Student Management Total System by constructing DB of students' e-portfolios, school records and counselling data etc. And our ultimate goal with this system is helping teachers to carry out more effective career education geared to each individual student's talent and aptitude by integrating and sharing information about their career on the web site systematically.

A study on factors influencing the decision of Web-based Learning System (Edunet) use (웹기반 학습 시스템(에듀넷) 활용 결정에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is finding factors affecting the decision of Web-based learning system (Edunet) use and searching for ways to diffuse Edunet use. Based on the diffusion of innovations theory and the results of the previous studies about web-based instruction, seven predictors influencing the decision of Edunet use were extracted. Seven variables as the followings; (1) perceived attributes of innovation (Relative Advantage, Compatibility, Complexity) (2) Innovativeness (3) Self-efficacy (4) Subjective Norm (5) Support. The participants were 315, 5-6th grade elementary school students, and the questionnaire was 20-item with 7-point Likert scales. To analyze the collected data and test the hypothesis, binary logistic regression was employed. The result indicated that the fitness of regression model including seven decision factors was proved. In addition, two factors, subjective norm and support, were identified as the important decision factors of Edunet use.

  • A web support open environment in which flexibility that allows it to be applied in the education field has gradually evolved but the WBI(Web Based Instruction) which compose it have many limitations and problems, as far as learning efficiency is concerned. In particular, existing web-based estimation systems just give information on whether learner's replies are 'correct' or 'incorrect' and offer the learners evaluations of results in terms of scores. Therefore it is difficult for the learners to get more detailed information about their shortcomings and errors. What is needed for the learners is that web based instruction systems diagnose learner's comprehension status, providing c causes: Why did the learners make the errors\ulcorner In this paper, we propose the development of a web-based instruction system that learners can access with their browsers at any time and no matter where they are. Our system has a facility that analyses learner's weak points and diagnoses error cause, giving advice to learners and more detailed error information than existing systems. By accumulating user behaviors, relevant individualized information on the learners can be given.

  • 최근 지식, 정보, 기술의 새로운 패러다임으로 대표되는 지식정보화사회에 대응하기 위한 준비가 전 세계적으로 추진되고 있으며, UN해양법 발효, WTD체제 출범에 따른 어장축소와 수산물수입 전면자유화 등 많은 어려움에 처한 수산업을 고부가치적인 수산업으로 육성하고, 경쟁력 있는 산업으로 육성하기 위해서는 어업인 상호간 지식정보교환, 수산기술의 보급 및 교육을 위한 평생교육 체계, 어촌관광자원의 홍보 및 활용을 통한 국민에게 사랑 받는 어촌건설이 필요하며 특히 현재 급속도로 진행되고 있는 사회 전반적인 정보화의 물결이 어촌에는 확산되고 있지 않으며, 정부의 정보인프라정책에도 소외되고 있어 어업생산기반인 어업인에 대한 정보화마인드 함양 및 어업에 대한 정보인프라 조기구축이 시급하다. 본 연구는 급속히 보급되고 있는 인터넷을 이용하여 정보화에 소외된 어업인이 정보화 격차의 해소와 보다 신속하고 살아있는 정보와 지식을 제공하고자 시스템을 구축하였다.
