현대인은 복식활동에서 개성이 강하게 표현되기를 원하며 웨딩드레스에서도 차별화 된 다양한 디자인을 요구한다. 복식의 한 분야인 웨딩드레스는 복식의 흐름에 동조하면서, 디자인 개발보다는 복식사적 틀 속에서 재현되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 신부들의 개성과 다양한 요구에 부응할 수 있는 디자인 개발과 표면적인 재질감의 표현에 있어 예술성 및 가치부여를 비즈장식 기법을 응용한 웨딩드레스와 웨딩예복을 개발하는데 목적이 있다. (중략)

웨딩드레스는 결혼이라는 행사를 거행하는데 여성들이 착용하는 예복중의 하나이다. 19C 빅토리아 여왕이 자신의 결혼의상을 백색 새틴을 소재로 하면서부터 중세이후 상복의 색상으로 정착되었던 백색이 여성의 순결을 상징하는 웨딩드레스의 색상으로 자리잡게 된다. 웨딩드레스는 다른 의상과 달리 색상이 백색 또는 아이보리색으로 제한되는 경우가 일반적이기 때문에 주로 디테일과 장식 등에 비즈 자수(Beading)기법을 사용하여 신부의 아름다움을 표현한다. 웨딩드레스는 신부의 순결함을 표현함과 동시에 결혼식에 참석하는 다른 여성들에 비해 신부를 돋보이도록 화려함을 표현해주는 것도 디자인에 있어서 중요한 항목이므로 이에 비즈자수 기법은 큰 효과를 발휘할 수 있는 방법이라고 본다.

오늘날 한국 패션산업은 개화기 이후 우리의 복식 생활 자체가 서양화되면서 외국 문물의 무분별한 도입과 함께 단절되었던 전통성을 복원하여 현대의 시점에서 재창조 해야한다는 당위성을 안고 있다. 이에 현대에는 주체의식을 가지고 전통요소를 응용한 디자인 연구가 많이 시도되고 있으나, 현대 복식의 한 분야인 웨딩드레스에서는 이러한 시도가 이제 시작되는 단계로 연구가 미비한 실정이다. (중략)

본 연구는 웨딩드레스 이미지에 따른 업스타일 표현 기법에 대한 연구로 웨딩드레스 이미지와 어울리는 업스타일을 찾고자 하여 미용업에 종사하는 미용사를 중심으로 설문을 했고 그 설문에 따른 결과로 작품을 제작하여 제시하였다. 로맨틱한 웨딩드레스에 어울리는 업스타일은 가르마가 없는 올백형으로 빗질을 시원하게 위로 향하게 하여 탑포인트에 연출하는 땋기 기법을 활용하여 작품을 제작하는 것이 귀여운 이미지 연출 방법으로 조사되었다. 엘레강스한 이미지의 웨딩드레스에 어울리는 업스타일은 3 : 7 비율의 가르마를 형성하여 귀를 덮는 정도의 빗질로 네츄럴 포인트를 기준으로 롤 기법을 활용하여 작품을 제작하여 스타일을 표현하는 것이 엘레강스한 이미지를 연출할 수 있는 방법으로 나타났다. 클래식한 이미지의 웨딩드레스에 어울리는 업스타일은 2 : 8 비율의 가르마를 형성하여 귀를 절반 정도 덮는 정도의 빗질로 백 포인트를 기준으로 꼬기 기법을 활용하는 것이 클래식한 이미지에 적합한 것으로 조사되었다. 미용 전문가들이 꼽은 웨딩드레스 이미지에 대해 업스타일을 연출하였는데 이 자료는 업스타일 기초자료를 제공함과 동시에 업스타일을 이해하는 디자인 영역에 기여할 것이다.

본 연구는 한·중 여대생의 결혼관과 웨딩드레스 디자인 선호도를 비교하는데 연구의 목적을 두었다. 이를 위하여 한국 여대생 191명과 중국 여대생 199명을 대상으로 설문조사를 통하여 자료를 수집하였다. 자료는 SPSS PC+ 25.0을 활용하여 분석하였으며, 분석방법은 신뢰도 분석, 교차분석, 평균비교분석이었고, 검증은 카이 스퀘어 및 t검증으로 하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국 여대생은 결혼하겠다는 응답이 중국 여대생보다 높았다. 중국 여대생은 결혼을 희망하는 이유로 경제, 생활, 부모 관련 문항에서 한국 여대생보다 높았다. 또한 결혼을 희망하지 않는 이유로는 배우자에 관한 걱정, 일에 대한 걱정, 경력에 관한 걱정 등에서 중국 여대생이 높았다. 둘째, 한국과 중국 여대생이 선호하는 웨딩드레스 디자인은 네크라인에서 차이가 있었다. 끝으로 미래 웨딩산업의 중국 진출을 위한 방안을 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the visual sensibility of wedding dress. There are 28 kinds of costume samples from photographs in wedding dress magazines. They were divided into simple, accent and decorative design. The Semantic Differential method was used in this study to measure them. The semantic scale was composed of 20 pairs of adjective words. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, ANOVA, MDS and regression analysis. The results are as follow; 1. Factor analysis has extracted five factors which consist of the visual sensibility of wedding dress. The factors are High quality, Cuteness, Femininity, Decoration and Modernness. 2. There were significant differences in the visual sensibility of wedding dress and demographics.3. The evaluative dimensions of the visual sensibility of wedding dress were identified by Cute-Adult and Simple-Decorative. 4. Preference was related to what are wearing-desirable, chic, cute, natural and beautiful, etc., and the wearing desire was related to what are favorite, lively, chic, special and gracious, etc. The noble sensibility was related to what are elegant, cute, feminine and chic, etc.

Recently people are trying to lead their life with meaning and value, and people are oriented to value consumption as the values they pursue can be realized through consumption. Consumer demand on value consumption had an effect on Korean wedding culture and 'value consumption wedding culture' which emphasizes the value of marriage, is on the rise as a new wedding custom. Accordingly, Korean wedding market is more segmented and diversified for individual customization to create value. Especially, wedding dress evidently reflects the tendency of value consumption as it gives special meaning for brides. As a result, suggestion and development of detailed design elements of wedding dress to meet the various needs of customers are needed. Therefore, this study has the purpose of investigating the required value of wedding dress aligned with the characteristics of value consumption wedding culture through in-depth interviews and how the intrinsic value of consumers is shown up to a particular design element through investigating on the relationships between design elements. In addition, the study provides a direction for specialized and high-valued wedding dress design development by suggesting wedding dress design aligned with the new trend based on the analysis of detailed design elements that reflects the value.

Recent weddings have been performed in more unique and characterful styles going beyond the existing same old method of past weddings, and they are changed into small weddings with simplified style without unnecessary procedures by choosing a wedding venue different from others. It is necessary to develop a new wedding dress design suitable for such changing wedding culture, and especially, dresses are required to have some practical designs, so that they can be worn not only for the wedding ceremony or party but also for everyday life. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop a new normal wedding dress for small weddings that reflect design according to the emerging small wedding culture. To this end, a theoretical review of small weddings was conducted, and based on this, a new normal wedding dress design was developed for small weddings. Based on practicality and economic feasibility, the New Normal Wedding Dress exhibited 'variable by wearing method' that changes according to the wearer's purpose and 'variable by attaching and detaching method' that changes according to the detachment of details. The small wedding dress developed through this study is expected to become a new standard for wedding dresses that is suitable for the changing wedding culture.

The purpose of this study is to preview artistic presentation, factors of designing and ornamentation, to provide useful information to the wedding dress industry in developing consumer-oriented design of wedding dress. Also, this study is to investigate relativity between individual characteristics, such as demographic character and body figures, and preference of consumers, in order to learn if there is any pattern of consumers decision making, and to help consumers by giving tips for their wedding dress shopping. According to this study, I can see that when modern South-Korean adult women choose their wedding dress, they consider many factors just like silhouette, detail, fabric material and so on, then they select their own best dress by grasping their body characteristics.

The purpose of this thesis is to compare the efficiency of 3D digital design technology with traditional hand-drawn designs of a transformable dress for a small wedding. After reviewing the literature, this empirical study analyzed the tendencies of small wedding dress design, concluding that a transformable dress for a small wedding consists of a bodice, skirt, and outer skirt or gown with train, each of which has five possible designs, resulting in 15 virtual items within the 3D program. The 3D program provides the benefit of easy design development as well as reduced costs and design time. Specifically, the random combination of 15 items with layers in the 3D program produced 150 different styles in 5 hours, while hand-drawing 150 dresses took 50 hours. Moreover, the 3D program does not need any material, but 150 physical drawings required a sketchbook, pencil, eraser, and marker, total cost 31,100 won. Additionally, the 3D whole-body scan helps the bride decide which design she prefers through virtual try-ons. Eventually, the 3D program could help a bride decide what she prefers and produce it with virtual simulation, resulting in reduced time and costs.
