Hydraulic Assessment of Channel Form on the Narrow Pass of Channel (하천 협착부에서 하도형태에 관한 하도수리학적 평가 -낙동강 선산지구를 중심으로 -)

  • 하천에서는 나라마다 하천마다 구간마다 독특한 하도특성을 지니고 있다. 우리나라는 전 국토의 70 %가 산지로 이루어져 있으며, 이로 인하여 특이한 하도형태의 모습을 보이는 구간이 산재하고 있다. 그 대표적인 모습이 충적하도와 침식하도가 연속해 발생하는 과정에서 나타나는 것이 하천 협착부 구간이다. 이러한 하천협착부 주변지역은 전형적인 수해상습 구간이 되는 경우가 많다. 이러한 상황임에도 불구하고 현재까지 우리 나라에서는 이러한 협착부 구간에서 하도특성을 반영한 연구 및 설계 사례가 전무한 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 낙동강 선산지역의 하천 협착부에서의 하도 수리학적 의미와 하도형태에 대하여 조사하고 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 모래하천인 조사구간의 저수로 하상에서 아주 미세한 유사분급 현상은 확인할 수 있었지만, 명쾌한 자연 영력에 의한 유사분급 현상이라 판단하기에는 어려운 부분이 있었다. 이는 완만한 하상경사, 균일성에 가까운 하상재료의 공급에 기인한다고 추정할 수 있었다. 그러나 이와 같은 자연적인 현상보다는 골재채취 등의 원인에 따른 유사분급이 확연하다고 추정되었다. 그리고 협착부의 배수구역에서 과거 활발했던 이동상 단단면 하도형태가 유심부의 이동과 더불어 최근 급격하게 복단면화가 진행되고 있음을 확인하였다. 이와 더불어 저수로의 하폭이 크게 줄어드는 현상을 확인할 수 있었다. 이와 같은 현상은 궁극적으로 이상홍수 발생시의 복단면 가중 또는 홍수단면적 축소, 저수로에서의 호안 또는 제방 아래부분의 국소세굴이 야기될 수 있음을 시사한다.원주교각에 대한 국부세굴 특성을 검토하였다. 또한 원주형의 교각에서는 단일원주보다는 원주군으로 설치되는 경우가 대부분이며 이때 교각의 직경(D)에 대한 교각 사이 간격$(L_d)$의 비$(L_d/D)$에 따른 전면교각에서의 수류변화의 영향이 후면교각에 작용하여 상호 복합적인 흐름 및 세굴특성을 나타내므로 이와 같은 복렬형 원주군의 세굴특성을 파상형 원주교각에 적용하여 국부세굴의 크기 변화를 해석하였다. 따라서, 교각주위에서의 수류특성 및 세굴의 변동은 원주군 및 교각파상의 크기와 간격 등과 같은 구조물의 배열조건과 Froude 수, 수심 등의 수리학적 조건에 따라 달라지므로 이의 조건을 체계적으로 변화시켜 가면서 교각주위에서의 국부세굴 및 세굴 감소특성을 검토하였다. 실험결과 오목 및 볼록 파상형 원주 주위에서의 세굴크기는 원형원주와 비교하여 전체적으로 감소하는 것으로 확인되었으며 특히 오목형 $B/\acute{h}=3$에서는 세굴경감효과가 탁월하여 70%이상 감소하는 것으로 확인되었으나 볼록형 $B/\acute{h}=5$에서는 세굴촉진특성이 나타나고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 파상형 원주에서는 하강류나 와류를 파상형의 내부로 유도하여 세굴의 크기를 조절할 수 있는 최적의 파상이 존재하고 있는 것으로 예측되었다.원 분야 소프트웨어의 개발에 기본 토대를 제공할 것으로 판단된다.았다. 또한 저자들의 임상병리학적 연구결과가 다른 문헌에서 보고된 소아 신증후군의 연구결과와 큰 차이

Strength Property of the Incised Larix (Larix kaempferi Carr.) Round Posts treated with CCA (인사이징 처리 낙엽송 CCA-방부원주목의 강도 성능 평가)

  • Strength of logs and round posts is compared and analyzed to estimate the strength of the incised Larix round posts treated with CCA in this paper. There is no significant difference in MOR of logs and round posts. However, in the incised Larix round posts treated with CCA MOE is decreased to about 9%, and there is 29% reduction in MOR as strength ratio is 0.71. When calculating the allowable bending stress of incised round type round posts, not in nominal 2-in timbers, an adjustment factor for MOE and bending strength is proposed as 0.91 and 0.71, respectively. Logs, round posts and the incised Larix round posts treated with CCA do not show significant difference in nail withdrawal load. There is almost no difference between incised Larix round posts treated with CCA and round posts in the shear strength of bolted joint. When calculating the allowable shear stress of bolted joint, it is conformed that considering the application of incising factor is not necessary.

Does Nasal Septal Deviation and Concha Bullosa Have Effect on Maxillary Sinus Volume and Maxillary Sinusitis?: A Retrospective Study (비중격 만곡증과 수포성 비갑개는 상악동 부피와 상악골 부비동염에 있어 관련성을 지니는가?: 후향적 연구)

  • Purpose This study aimed to determine whether nasal septal deviation and concha bullosa affect the maxillary sinus volume, and whether this effect is associated with the prevalence of chronic sinusitis. Materials and Methods This study retrospectively reviewed 209 paranasal sinus CT (PNS CT) images of patients with sinonasal symptoms from January 2017 to December 2018. The maxillary sinus volume was measured twice by a radiologist, and statistical analysis was performed using SAS 9.4. Results Intersex comparison of the maxillary sinus volume (on left and right sides) revealed that the volume was significantly larger on both the sides (p < 0.0001) in men compared with that in women. Concha bullosa was found to occur mainly in the concave cavity of the septal deviation (p < 0.0001). No significant association was found between nasal septal deviation and maxillary sinusitis (p = 0.8756) as well as between concha bullosa and maxillary sinusitis prevalence (p = 0.3401) or maxillary sinus volume (both: p = 0.6289, Rt.: p = 0.9522, Lt.: p = 0.9201). Conclusion Although nasal septal deviation and the location of concha bullosa may affect each other, maxillary sinus volume and maxillary sinusitis were neither associated with nasal septal deviation nor concha bullosa.

  • Stone-monuments, distributed in this area, have been investigated and studied in geological and conservational points of view. They are seemed to have been built from the Shilla to Koryeo Kingdoms, although more systematic studies are needed. The used rocks in these monuments are mainly biotite granite of Jurassic age. They are strongly weathered and partly exfoliated along igneous lineation about 1-2 mm(maximum up to 5 mm). They are mainly effected by chemical weathering to be selectively dissolved and by various kind of moss. For conservation, it must be scientifically considered based on characteristics and kind of rock phase, factors on weathering process, situation and protection.

  • 산지계곡에는 큰 자갈이나 호박돌이 무더기로 퇴적되어 있어서 대규모 공극을 구성한다. 호우시 이 돌무더기 내부에 빠른 흐름이 형성되고 이에 따른 퇴적사면의 급격한 변동이 발생하기도 한다. 본 연구에서는 대공극 매질의 흐름은 산지계곡에 퇴적된 균일 직경을 가진 구형 입자로 구성된 대규모 공극 매질을 구성하고, 비 Darcy 흐름의 유속에 미치는 입경의 영향을 수리실험으로 조사하였다. 실험에 사용된 구형 입자는 크기가 15.5mm, 25mm, 36.5mm인 유리구슬이고, 조성된 매질의 공극율은 Table 1과 같으며, 실험에서 침투거리는 40cm로 하였다. 실험유량은 0.98~15.41 t/s이고 입자 Reynolds 수는 120~4,580의 범위였다. 동수경사가 증가하면 매질의 단면평균 유속이 비선형적으로 증가하였다. 입경이 작을수록 유속과 동수경사 사이의 비선형적 경향이 더 크다(Fig.1). 동일한 동수경사에서 매질의 입경이 클수록 유속이 빠르게 나타났다.

  • This project analyzes distinct qualities of pearl cultured in Tongyeong by physical, chemical and optical test. The result is to provide scientific data for the value of pearl from Korean seawater. It divides one year pearl, which is used as a sample in the project, into white, natural blue and yellow gold colors, and then it has been divided into A, B and C based on the quality of the last results. A chemical experiment demonstrates that the higher quality has lower protein content of less than 10%. In another test called heavy metal content test, there is no big difference among classes. In the characterization of spectroscopy, it shows 280 nm peak indicated the conchiolin. It is clear that 407 nm, 430 nm and 460 nm peak are White group that are not in processed condition.

  • The concentration of sulfur dioxide in Wonju City was predicted using TCM (Texas Climatological Model). We have studied the transportation and wet deposition of $SO_2$ using the TCM and the analysis of rainfalls. The results are as follows : At the Hak-Sung Dong site in Wonju city, the correlation coefficient between the measured and calculated concentrations were 0.904. Sulfur dioxide was washed out by wet deposition. The wet deposition ratio to total amount of emitted sulfur dioxide was higher in summer than in autumn and winter seasons due to heavy rainfall in summer. The correlation coefficient between the precipitation and wet deposition of sulfur dioxide was 0.68. The months with greater rainfall showed that the measured concentrations of sulfur dioxide were much lower than the predicted ones. Although the amount of precipitation in April was smaller than in summer, the wet deposition ratio in April was much higher than any other months, due to the sulfur dioxide that was adsorbed on particulate matter and moisture was transported during the period of yellow sand phenomena from China.

  • The purpose underlying this study is to evaluate tourism development impacts from analyzing residents' and tourists' perceptions. Questionnaire surveys were carried on Kanhyun area in Kangwondo, Korea. Generally, residents in the area perceive positive economic impacts due to tourism development, however levels of employment and economic independence of the locality are perceived low. Sociocultural changes also bring negative aspects in life and residents' awareness of environmental impacts show far more negative. Tourists' satisfaction levels with the area and the management attributes are relatively high. Some suggestions are made based on the result of the survey to help the area to be more successful as a tourist destination. More comprehensive research is needed for the future study.

Convergence Related Factors of Subjective Oral Care Awareness in Wonju city W High School Students (원주시 W고등학생의 주관적 구강관리인식과 융복합적 요인에 대한 연관성)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the convergence related factors of subjective oral care awareness in high school students. 218 data were analyzed; subjective oral care awareness were $3.59{\pm}0.44$, significantly affected by religion, intake of fast food and carbonated drink(p<.05). According to analysis, students who stated reasons for halitosis as 'Tooth brushing to eliminate bad breath' and 'Friends bad breath are discomfort' showed high subjective oral care awareness, however, it was low when students were not aware of their bad breath. Therefore, increasing tooth brushing frequency and reducing the intake of carbonated drink and junk food are needed to boost subjective oral care awareness. Also, it is considered that educational contents and materials for factors which affects subjective oral care awareness should be developed for high school student's Oral health education class.

Promotion effects of steam-dried Betula platyphylla extract on hair regrowth (자작나무 증포 추출물의 발모 촉진 효과)

  • Regulation of the hair follicle cycle in association with dermal papilla cells is one of the most interesting targets for promoting hair regrowth. In this study, we examined whether steam-dried Betula platyphylla extracts (BPE) promote hair growth by upregulating in vitro and in vivo responses of dermal papilla cells. The data showed that BPE3 contained high amounts of phenolic compounds with higher antioxidant effects and increased hair growth-related genes, including fibroblast growth factor7 and Wnt7b, in dermal papilla cells. Notably, BPE3 effectively enhanced the formation of hair follicles by increasing FGF7, Wnt7b, and vascular endothelial growth factor in C57BL/6N dorsal skins. Additionally, BPE3 significantly decreased the expression of inflammatory repertoires, inducible nitric oxide synthase, interleukin-6, and cyclooxygenase 2. Several small molecules, such as betulin and unsaturated fatty acids, support the pharmacological activity of BPE3. In conclusion, BPE3 effectively promoted hair growth by activating dermal papilla cells and enhancing hair follicle cycles by attenuating the inflammatory environment in the scalp.
