  • With the possibility of wireless control of the aircraft by Nicola Tesla, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) was mainly used for military and defense purposes with the rapid development through World War I and II. As civilian applications of unmanned aerial vehicles have expanded, they have been used with various services, and attempts have been made to control various environmental changes and risk factors of unmanned aerial vehicles. However, GPS spoofing, Jamming attack and security accidents are occurring due to the communication in the unmaned aerial vehicle system or the security vulnerability of the unmanned aerial vehicle itself. In order to secure introduction of Unmanned aerial vehicle, South Korea has established Unmanned Aerial Vehicle verification system called Airworthiness Certification. However, the existing cerfication system is more focused on test flight, design and structure's safety and reliability. In this paper, we propose a unmanned aerial vehicle system model and propose security functional requirements on unmanned aerial vehicle system in the corresponding system model for secure-introduction of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. We suggest the development direction of verification technology. From this proposal, future development directions of evaluation and verification technology of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle will be presented.

  • In 2011, C.-T. Li et al. proposed a secure user authentication scheme, which is an improvement over Kim et al.'s scheme to resolve several security flaws such as off-line password guessing attack and masquerading attack. C.-T. Li et al. claimed that their scheme prevents smart card security related attacks. Moreover, it provides mutual authentication and session key establishment. However, we found that their scheme is vulnerable to password guessing attack through password change phase, smart card forgery attack and stolen verifier attack. Moreover, C.-T. Li et al.'s scheme is not secure against password guessing attack as they claimed. In this paper, we also point out that their scheme is not practical to use.

  • It was necessary for us to establish a U-City Integrated platform to handle information and to operate the processes in order to solve various social problems in the modern cities and environment. As time has passed, we have confronted to difficulty in handling massive data with limited storage and computing environment and in not satisfying all the new requirements and on time information from the publics. The bigger the cost of the operation of the platform got, the more doubts to keep and invest more to upgrade it arose. Here, we investigated the limitations of the U-city platforms and analyzed the additional requirements and each function of the platform. In order to meet the requirement, we applied new technologies to deal with massive data and suggested the infrastructure of computing environment. We will be expecting the cost decreasing effects and the benefit increasing effects from the enhancement of U-City platform.

  • The errors in orthognathic surgery can occur during the preoperative preparations including the model surgery, but till now there's been some lack of reserches about them. So we wanted to verify the accuracies in measurements used in model surgery. We compared the accuracy of measurements by vernier calipers, which has been the main measurement tool for conventional model surgery, and that by height gauge, which is recently claimed to be more accurate, with 3 dimensional coordinate analyzer. We could have following results and have a plan to use them for the invention of new model surgery techniques. 1. The measurement errors in Group 1, which mean the difference between "the measurements by 3-D analyzer"and "the measurements by height gauge", were small enough with the range of $0.1{\sim}0.2mm$ in all planes. 2. The mean error in Group 2, which is the differences between the measurements of 3-D analyzer and those of vernier calipers, was 1.1mm. 3. The measurement errors in Group 2 were variable according to the factors including the differences of individuality and expertness of each measurers. But in case of Group 1, they were small and not variable by the expertness. 4. The measurements were more accurate at the points in anterior teeth than in molar teeth in Group 1 and 2. 5. The errors after model surgery increased remarkably, compared with those before surgery in Group 2. And the situation was different in Group 1 in that errors decreased after surgery. According to these results, it assumed that the measurements with height gauge during the model surgery for orthognathic surgery are accurate enough and can be maintained, regardless of complexity of models, individuality, or expertness of measurers.

  • Objectives: Indoor air quality problems in public spaces have recently become a very important issue in South Korea, because many spend a long time every day indoors. In this study, an extensive literature review was performed on the subject of suspended bacteria and fungi in public facilities. The objective of this study was to evaluate the extent and types of suspended bacteria and fungi in indoor air in South Korea. This study will provide direction to the research in the field of indoor air. Methods: Article reviews was conducted using a search engine and the following keywords; 'bacteria', 'total suspended bacteria', 'fungi' and 'indoor air' from published articles since 2000. Results: Most of the places of measurement were schools, kindergartens, childcare centers and general hospitals. The highest concentrations of total suspended bacteria and fungi were found in schools and kindergartens. Some public facilities exceeded the standard of 800 CFU/$m^3$. There were few studies on other suspended bacteria: Gram Negative Bacteria, Staphylococcus and Klebsiella pneumoniae. Conclusions: It appears that more studies with intensive controls are needed. It was found that schools and kindergartens were most susceptible to microbial indoor air pollution. These results may be able to suggest an indoor standard for suspended bacteria and fungi in South Korea.

  • To address the problems caused by the corrosion of steel rebar, active research has recently been carried out on members where fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) is used in place of rebar. As FRP bar is highly brittle and has a low modulus of elasticity, further research is needed on the evaluation of serviceability, in other words on the deflection of flexural concrete members reinforced with FRP rebars. Taking the reinforcement ratio as a variable, this paper analyzes the flexural capacity of concrete beams reinforced with CFRP rebar. The test results of specimens reinforced with CFRP rebar show an increase in stiffness and resisting force along with an increase in the reinforcement ratio. A reinforcement ratio of about 1.3 is needed for the member reinforced with CFRP rebar to show same section property of a steel member. Through a comparison for the value of an effective moment of inertia, the equation suggested by Bischoff & Scanlon predicted values closest to the actual results.

  • Evaluating contents and quality of the journal along with the research ability of researcher is becoming an important issue recently. This research compared level of impact of the journals related to statistics in nation, 'Journal of the Korean Data & Information Science Society'-centric, using various KCI citation index. Moreover, this research surveyed network between the journals in the aspect of social network analysis, using co-citation frequency. From that, the following conclusions were drawn. First, percentage of self-citation was relatively high. Second, even though Statistics journal had higher impact index than the mathematics, physics and chemistry, frequency of citing statistics journal in other journals was not that high. Third, 'Journal of the Korean Data & Information Science Society' serves central role in network analysis, however it seems that more efforts are required.

  • Over the past 30 years, the business effects of the improvement project at black spot have been decreasing since 2010, with a reduction in the amount of government spending, coupled with proposing a uniform improvement plan. In order to promote more efficient improvement projects, it is necessary to evaluate the efficiency of local governments and improve the business methods of local governments with low efficiency. However, more sophisticated efficiency analysis methods are needed. Because in previous studies have been limited to the analysis of effects before and after the project through the simple before-after analysis. For this purpose, this study analyzed the efficiency of improvement project at black spot by local governments in Gyeonggi-do using DEA to compare and analyze efficiency in various fields. As a result, Goyang, Seongnam, Paju, Hanam and Yangju showed high efficiency local governments. For local governmetns with low efficiency, the improvement projets to improve efficiency were divided into civil engineering work, structure work, pavement work, additional work and transportation work, and the appropriate construction ratios of each local government were analyzed and presented.

  • The melting phenomenal of the horizontal cylindrical ice-bar submerged in water are experimentally investigated for the temperature range from 2.5.deg. C to 15.deg. C. The shapes of the melting ice-bar are recorded by the Photo-elasticity Apparatus with modification of the test section. The shadowgraphs of the melting ice-bar show that water adjacent to the bar flows upward for the temperature range from 2.5.deg. C to 5.6.deg. C while above the temperature of 5.6.deg. C the flow is downward direction. The local and average Nusselt numbers become minimum at 5.6.deg. C which is considered as a critical temperature and the Nusselt numbers increase as temperature difference from the critical temperature increase.

  • Password-based mechanism is widely used methods for user authentication. Password-based mechanisms are using memorable passwords(weak ferrets), therefore Password-based mechanism are vulnerable to the password guessing attack. To overcome this problem, man password-based authenticated key exchange protocols have been proposed to resist password guessing attacks. Recently, Seo-Sweeny proposed password-based Simple Authenticated Key Agreement(SAKA) protocol. In this paper, first, we will examine the SAKA and authenticated key agreement protocols, and then we will show that the proposed simple authenticated key agreement protocols are still insecure against Advanced Modification Attack. And we propose a password-based Simple Authenticated Key Agreement Protocol secure against Advanced Modification Attack.
