Evaluation of initial condition in rainfall-runoff model using the Satellite-based soil moisture data (위성 토양수분 데이터 기반 강우-유출모형 초기조건 산정)

  • 유역의 물수지는 기상인자, 지형, 토양, 식생 등 여러 가지 인자들에 의해 결정된다. 물수지 분포를 평가하기 위해 수문모형의 모의 시 필요한 수문요소 조건들을 정보화하게 되며, 동시에 토양수분의 특성, 강우 입력자료, 유역의 지형학적 특성들은 불확실성에 기인하는 요소로 작용한다. 이러한 수문모형 모의 시 불확실성을 제거하기 위해 모형 초기조건에 대한 다각적인 분석이 선행이 필요하다. 특히 토양수분은 대기와 지표 사이의 상호작용에 작용하는 중요한 수문기상학적 인자로 평가되고 있다. 토양수분 데이터 자료를 이용하여 강우-유출모형의 입력자료를 구축하여 실제 토양수분의 변동성을 파악하는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있으며, 유역기반의 유출현황을 산정하기 위해 매우 유용한 초기조건으로 그 역할이 기대된다. 현장에서 관측하는 토양수분 데이터는 넓은 유역의 토양수분을 대표하는 자료로 사용되기에는 한계점이 있으며, 위성기반 토양수분 데이터는 원격탐사를 통해 획득되기 때문에 토양수분의 시 공간적인 변동성 파악에 용의하며 경제성 또한 높다. 이에 따라, 본 연구에서는 유역의 수문순환 분석을 하고, 위성기반 토양수분의 적용 가능성을 평가하기 위해 Aqua위성에 탑재된 Advanced Mircowave Scanning Radiometer Earth Observing System(AMSR-E)와 Metop-A의 Advanced SCATterometer(ASCAT)의 토양수분 데이터를 이용하여 강우-유출모델의 초기조건을 산정하였다. 또한, 이에 대한 검증을 위해 기존 강우인자 초기조건 및 지점에서 관측된 토양수분 초기조건 등을 비교하여 통계분석을 실시하였다.

Environmental Effects of DFDF Normal Operation (정상운전시 DFDF 시설의 환경영향평가)

  • A DUPIC nuclear fuel is a newly developed fuel for CANDU reactors based on the concept of refabrication of spent PWR fuel by a dry process. Because a spent PWR fuel, a highly radioactive material, is used as a starting material, the experimental verification of DUPIC nuclear fuel fabrication requires an appropriate facility which should satisfy engineering requirements and guarantees safe operation. DUPIC nuclear fuel development team modified M6 hot-cell in IMEF to construct the dedicated facility(DFDF) for tile experiment. The experiment with spent PWR fuel have been conducted since January of 2000. Environmental effects of DFDF normal operation have been investigated when DUPIC nuclear fuel is fabricated with the maximum capacity of 50kg U/yr. The analysis results of the radiological safety of DFDF facility have shown that both national regulation limit and IMEF design criteria are satisfied.

  • Students are always preparing for remote classes while taking face-to-face classes due to COVID-19. However, it is true that the class satisfaction with distance learning is not high for students and teachers. The idea that even if remote classes are conducted at home, it would be nice to have classes together like real ones, the need for a virtual world education program that utilizes augmented reality and virtual reality based on the metaverse has emerged. However, there are very few studies that teachers try to apply them to their classes. In this study, a metaverse application curriculum was presented for elementary science and 'space' domains. To implement the metaverse, ZEPETO and COSPACIS EDU were used. In the analysis of content creation with students and evaluation with schoolmates, this study showed that the concentration of learning was increased and creativity improved in the 'real', 'individual', and 'society' domains.

A Web-based Simulation Environment based on the Client/Server Architecture for Distance Education: SimDraw (원격교육을 위한 클라이언트/서버구조의 웹 기반 시뮬레이션 환경 : SimDraw)

  • Recently, the distance education has been rapidly proliferated with the rapid growth of the Internet and high speed networks. There has been relatively much research with regard to online lecture (teaching and studying) tools for the distance education, compared to the virtual laboratory tools (for self-study and experiments). In this paper, we design and implement a web-based simulation tool, named as SimDraw, for the virtual laboratory in the distance education. To apply the web-based simulation technology into the distance education, some requirements should be met; firstly, the user interface of the simulation should be very easy for students. Secondly, the simulation should be very portable to be run on various computer systems of remote students. Finally, the simulation program on remote computers should be very thin so that students can easily install the program onto their computers. To meet these requirements, SimDraw adopts the client/server architecture; the client program contains only model development and animation functions so that no installation of a client program onto student's system is required, and it can be implemented by a Java applet in Web browsers. The server program supports client programs by offering the functions such as remote compiling, model storing, library management, and user management. For the evaluation of SimDraw, we show the simulation process using the example experimentation of the RIP(Routing Information Protocol) Internet routing protocol.

  • CORBA, DCOM, Java RMI 등과 같은 분산 객체 기술이 분산 응용의 신뢰성을 직접적으로 향상시키지는 못한다. 이러한 분산 객체 기술에 고장 감내성을 추가하여 신뢰성 있는 시스템을 구축하기 위해서 객체 단위의 복제 그룹 관리와 고장 탐지 및 회복 메커니즘이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 신뢰성 있는 고장 감내성 Java RMI 객체를 개발하기 위하여 고장 탐지와 그룹 관리를 위한 그룹 관리자와 원격 인터페이스를 설계하고, 고장 감내성 클래스를 정의한다. 또한 고장 감내성 객체의 투명한 그룹 참여를 위하여 Naming 클래스와 RMIRegistry를 확장한다. 응용 개발자는 고장 감내성 클래스를 상속함으로써 외부의 도움 없이 간단히 고장 감내성 응용 객체를 개발하여 신뢰성을 높일 수 있다. 100M Ethernet으로 연결된 Linux kernel2.2.1의 PentiumIII머신 3대와 Solaris2,6의 Sun Spar치머신을 클라이언트한 시스템을 사용하고 JDK 1.2.2를 이용하여 설계한 객체를 구현하여 다양한 객체고장 에 대해 복구되는 것을 확인하였다. 성능 평가는 그룹크기에 따른 함수의 응답속도와 메시지 크기에 따른 응답속도를 비교하였다.

  • Recently, there are a lot of studies to use a satellite image data in order to investigate a simultaneous change of a wide range area as a lake. However, in many cases of the water quality research there is one problem occured when extracting the water quality factors from the satellite image data because the atmosphere scattering exert a bad influence on a result of analysis. In this study, an attempt was made to select the relative atmospheric correction method, extract the water quality factors from the satellite image data. And also, the time-series analysis of the water quality factors was performed by using the multi-temporal image data.

Futuristic VR image presentation technique for better mobile commerce effectiveness (모바일 상거래 효과를 높이기 위한 미래형 VR 이미지 프레젠테이션 기술)

  • Previous studies show that VR images can influence consumers' attitudes and behaviors by evoking imagination. In this study, we introduce a reality-based closed-loop 3D image (hereafter Virtualgraph). Then we try to see whether such image would increase evocativeness in a mobile commerce environment and whether higher telepresence of the visual image of a product can increase the purchase intention of that product. In order to find the above, we developed a model comprised of constructs containing telepresence, perceived value price, perceived food quality, and vividness of visual imagery questionnaire (VVIQ). We used Virtualgraph application to conduct an experiment, and then conducted an interview as well as a survey. As results of the experiment, survey and interview, we found the followings. First, users evoke imagination better with Virtualgraph than with still images. Second, increased evocativeness affects purchase intention if the perceived quality of fresh food product is satif actory. Third, increased evocativeness makes users value products higher and do even much higher when the perceived quality of fresh food product is good. From the interview, we could find that the experimental group had higher purchase intentions and perceived products as more expensive ones. Also, they perceived images of products clearer and more vivid than did the control group. We also discuss the strategic implications of using Virtualgraph in mobile shopping malls.

Development of Auto-calibration tool for Runoff and Sediment evaluation Model (필지단위 유출 및 유사 산정 모델 자동 검보정 툴 개발)

  • 고랭지 지역 등에서 매년 집중강우로 인하여 많은 양의 토양유실이 발생되고, 이로 인한 탁수 사태가 장기화되면서 많은 환경 및 사회적 문제가 발생되고 있다. 환경부에서는 2007년 고탁수 발생지역을 비점오염원 특별 관리지역으로 지정하고 전 방위적인 비점오염 저감 노력을 수행하고 있다. 최근 환경부와 농림부에서는 농업지역의 비점오염원 저감을 위해 필지단위 BMP를 적용하고, 저감효과를 모니터링하고 있으며, 2011년도에는 BMP 적용에 따른 삭감효과를 평가할 수 있는 모델이 개발되었다. 하지만 모델을 이용하여 정확한 BMP 적용에 따른 삭감효과를 산정하기 위해서는 필지에서 발생되는 유출량 및 유사량에 대한 검보정이 수행되어야한다. 그러나 기 개발된 삭감효과 산정모델은 사용자가 유출량 및 유사량에 대한 검보정을 수동으로 실시하기 때문에 검보정 과정 중 사용자의 주관적인 경향이 모델 변수 선정에 영향을 미칠 수 있어 비효율적이다. 정확성 및 객관성을 확보한 검보정 수행을 위해서는 반드시 자동 검보정 툴 개발이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 Parasol 방법을 이용하여 삭감효과 산정모델의 자동 검보정 툴을 개발하고 적용성을 평가하였다. Parasol 방법은 최적화 및 불확실성 분석방법으로, 원격 토지 표면 모델링 토양 침식, 지하 수문학과 같은 유역 모델 보정 및 수문학의 다른 분야에서 많이 사용되고 있는 SEC-UA 알고리즘을 사용하여 매개변수들을 자동 변환하고, 목적함수로 SSQ를 이용하여 최적매개변수를 찾아낸다.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a cost effective usability test model for business web site development. In this study, we present a usability test model that combines Concurrent Think Aloud, performance measurement, coaching method, and remote test method. Testing target was the consortium website of electronic information joint licensing. Test participants were actual users selected by their task roles and proficiency in different levels. We improved the system by reflecting the results of user test analysis and re-tested usability test again. The result showed that usability of all participants was improved in the aspect of the time required and the complexity of mouse trajectory. It is expected that the usability test model presented in this study can be used to cost-effectively evaluate and analyze business web sites. We suggest that research various usability test model considering the characteristics of websites.

YOLOv5-based Chimney Detection Using High Resolution Remote Sensing Images (고해상도 원격탐사 영상을 이용한 YOLOv5기반 굴뚝 탐지)

  • Air pollution is social issue that has long-term and short-term harmful effect on the health of animals, plants, and environments. Chimneys are the primary source of air pollutants that pollute the atmosphere, so their location and type must be detected and monitored. Power plants and industrial complexes where chimneys emit air pollutants, are much less accessible and have a large site, making direct monitoring cost-inefficient and time-inefficient. As a result, research on detecting chimneys using remote sensing data has recently been conducted. In this study, YOLOv5-based chimney detection model was generated using BUAA-FFPP60 open dataset create for power plants in Hebei Province, Tianjin, and Beijing, China. To improve the detection model's performance, data split and data augmentation techniques were used, and a training strategy was developed for optimal model generation. The model's performance was confirmed using various indicators such as precision and recall, and the model's performance was finally evaluated by comparing it to existing studies using the same dataset.
