A new technique for land cover classification which applies digital image pre-classified by unsupervised classification technique, clustering, to Canonical Correlation Analysis(CCA) was proposed in this paper. Compared with maximum likelihood classification, the proposed technique had a good flexibility in selecting training areas. This implies that any selected position of training areas has few effects on classification results. Land cover of each cluster designated by CCA after clustering is able to be used as prior information for maximum likelihood classification. In case that the same training areas are used, accuracy of classification using Canonical Correlation Analysis after cluster analysis is better than that of maximum likelihood classification. Therefore, a new technique proposed in this study will be able to be put to practical use. Moreover this will play an important role in the construction of GIS database
Sharing cross-site resources has been adopted by many recent websites in the forms of service-mashup and social network services. In this change, exploitation of the new vulnerabilities increases, which includes inserting malicious codes into the interaction points between clients and services instead of attacking the websites directly. In this paper, we present a system model to identify malicious script codes in the web contents by means of a remote verification while the web contents downloaded from multiple trusted origins are executed in a client's browser space. Our system classifies verification items according to the origin of request based on the information on the service code implementation and stores the verification results into three databases composed of white, gray, and black lists. Through the experimental evaluations, we have confirmed that our system provides clients with increased security by effectively detecting malicious scripts in the mashup web environment.
Spectral library is a database that archives spectral reflectance and related metadata of earth surface materials. Spectral library plays important role to assist analyzing several types of remote sensor data, to determine suitable wavelength band for detecting a certain material, and to classify hyperspectal image data. This paper describes the structure and content of a spectral library that is suitable for the environment of the Korea peninsula while existing spectral libraries have certain limitations to apply for surface materials covering the region. We designed a spectral library that includes vegetation and man-made materials indigenous to the region. The spectral library also includes spectra of mineral and rock, soil, liquid, and some man-made materials from existing spectral libraries. Newly augmented spectra of vegetation and man-made materials were obtained by spectral measurements in laboratory and field. The spectral library viewer was developed to increase efficiency of usage and searching.

Recently, with the development of the 4th industry, environmental issues such as air pollution have become serious, and in particular, a lot of air pollutants are generated in industrial sites. There are various types of air pollutants, and among them, carbon monoxide is essential for fires occurring in industrial sites, so it should be possible to monitor in real time. In addition, there is a need for a remote monitoring system that can measure various environmental factors other than air pollutants in real time. In this paper, we propose a monitoring system using wireless communication to remotely measure the industrial environment. The proposed monitoring system collects data to the Arduino of the transmitter by using a carbon monoxide sensor, a combustible gas sensor, a temperature and humidity sensor, and a flame sensor, and then transmits it to the receiver using ZigBee. The transmitted data is stored in the database of the receiver Raspberry Pi, and the stored data can be monitored in real time through the monitoring system.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the spatial relationship between the landslides occurred by typhoon, Rusa in 2002 and geospatial dataset. Landslide locations were detected using satellite image and field survey. Topogra-phy, soil, forest, geology and land use data sets were constructed as a spatial database in GIS. From the database, slope, aspect, curvature, water system, type of topography, texture, material, drainage, effective thickness of soil, type, age, diameter, density of wood, lithology, lineament of geology, land use and lineament were used as the land-slide occurrence factors. Using a frequence ratio model, the spatial relationships between the landslides and the factors were extracted. The spatial relationships is helpful to explain the characteristics of the landslide, and to make landslide susceptibility map.

In distributed spatial database systems, users nay issue a query that joins two relations stored at different sites. The sheer volume and complexity of spatial data bring out expensive CPU and I/O costs during the spatial join processing. This paper shows a new spatial join method which joins two spatial relation in a parallel way. Firstly, the initial join operation is divided into two distinct ones by partitioning one of two participating relations based on the region. This two join operations are assigned to each sites and executed simultaneously. Finally, each intermediate result sets from the two join operations are merged to an ultimate result set. This method reduces the number of spatial objects participating in the spatial operations. It also reduces the scope and the number of scanning spatial indices. And it does not materialize the temporary results by implementing the join algebra operators using the iterator. The performance test shows that this join method can lead to efficient use in terms of buffer and disk by narrowing down the joining region and decreasing the number of spatial objects.
Urban is an area where small-scale changes to individual buildings occur frequently. An existing urban building database requires periodic updating to increase its usability. However, there are limitations in data collection for building changes over a wide urban. In this study, we check the possibility of detecting building changes and updating a building database by using satellite images that can capture a wide urban region by a single image. For this purpose, building areas in a satellite image are first extracted by projecting 3D coordinates of building corners available in a building database onto the image. Building areas are then divided into roof and facade areas. By comparing textures of the roof areas projected, building changes such as height change or building removal can be detected. New height values are estimated by adjusting building heights until projected roofs align to actual roofs observed in the image. If the projected image appeared in the image while no building is observed, it corresponds to a demolished building. By checking buildings in the original image whose roofs and facades areas are not projected, new buildings are identified. Based on these results, the building database is updated by the three categories of height update, building deletion, or new building creation. This method was tested with a KOMPSAT-3A image over Incheon Metropolitan City and Incheon building database available in public. Building change detection and building database update was carried out. Updated building corners were then projected to another KOMPSAT-3 image. It was confirmed that building areas projected by updated building information agreed with actual buildings in the image very well. Through this study, the possibility of semi-automatic building change detection and building database update based on single satellite image was confirmed. In the future, follow-up research is needed on technology to enhance computational automation of the proposed method.

Accordingly, attention is also being paid to the agricultural use of remote sensing technique that non-destructively and continuously detects the growth and physiological status of crops. However, when remote sensing techniques are used for crop monitoring, it is possible to continuously monitor the abnormality of crops in real time. For this, standard growth information of crops is required and relative growth considering the cultivation environment must be identified. With the relationship between GDD (Growing Degree Days), which is the cumulative temperature related to crop growth obtained from ideal cultivation management, and the vegetation index as standard growth information, compared with the vegetation index observed with the spectralreflectance sensor(SRSNDVI & SRSPRI) in each rice paddy treated with standard cultivation management and non-fertilized, it was quantitatively identified as a time series. In the future, it is necessary to accumulate a database targeting various climatic conditions and varieties in the standard cultivation management area to establish a more reliable standard growth information.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of virtual reality-based remote rehabilitation on stroke patients systematically and to look for its effect and how to apply it domestically. Methods : In order to search data, EMBASE and CINAHL database were used. Relevant research used those terms of virtual reality, telerehabilitation, and stroke. A total of 10 studies satisfying the selection criteria was analyzed according to their qualitative level, general characteristics, and PICO method. Results : Based on the selected 10 studies, virtual reality-based telerehabilitation system was applied. Sensory and motor feedback was provided with inputting visual and auditory senses through a video in the home environment, and it stimulated changes in the client's nervous system. Tools to measure the results were upper extremity function, balance and gait, activities of daily living, etc. Those virtual reality-based telerehabilitation method had an effect on upper extremity function and ability of sense of balance in all studies, and on the activities of daily living partially. Telerehabilitation service to make up environmental specificity improved satisfaction of client. That meaned the effect of the intervention to maintain the function. Conclusion : The virtual reality-based telerehabilitation system was applied to upper extremity function, sense of balance, and activities of daily living largely, and it showed that it helped to improve functions through intervention, supervision, and training of therapist in the home environment as well. This study suggests the basis and possibility of clinical application on virtual-reality based telerehabilitation. Additional research is needed to diverse virtual reality intervention methods and the effect of telerehabilitation in the future.
