Although distance education system based on WBI theory has already been generalized in domestic universities and some private academical institutes, the use of the system in the real fields of schools is in the early stage now. In this paper, we develop a model of English learning system for middle school students and improve students' learning methods through the system. The system also makes students study all the learning topics which they choose in the system freely and repeatedly. It was applied to the middle school students. The analysis of the application showed the following results. First, it was very effective for students to achieve the learning objectives of the course of English. Second, the system made students improve their abilities to study English and also increase their abilities to surf the Internet and glean useful information. Third, the system made it possible for students to accomplish individual learning.

Nowadays, there is need to teachers' in service education, beacuse of growing knowledge and information that teachers should know. So, Distance Teacher Training was widely spread. Nevertheless, inspite of strong point of Distance Teacher Training, there are some ploblems(interaction, evaluation, lecuterer, teaching material, etc). In order to solve this ploblems, we, in this article, explor some Distance Teacher Training Model and we show 8 factors that should considered when we develop Distance Teacher Training Model in the future. This factors should be a good guidance to develop distance teacher training model

정보화 시대의 요구에 대한 교육적 대응은 학습자 중심의 교육이며, 정보통신기술을 기반으로 한 원격교육이다. 특히 인터넷에서 가장 활발하게 사용되고 있는 웹은 그 특성상 구성주의 학습 원리를 실현하는데 적절한 환경을 제공하고 있으며, 교육 시스템의 변화를 가져오고 있다. WBI(Web Based Instruction)는 웹을 매체로 활용하여 원거리에 있는 학습자를 교육시키는 형태로서 교수자와 학습자간 상호작용을 가능하게 하고 다양한 형태의 학습자료를 제공하며, 공간적 제약을 극복할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 웹에 기반한 교육적 활용의 한 모델로서 학습자의 자기 주도적이고 적극적인 학습을 촉진하기 위한 자기 주도적 학습이론과 학습자의 개인차를 고려한 수준별 학습이론을 적용하여 효율적인 웹 기반 학습이 가능하도록 하였으며 이러한 학습이론을 웹에 기반한 정보처리 기능사 필기시험에 적용함으로써 실업계 고등학교 교육현장의 비효율성과 기존의 문제은행 시스템의 문제점을 보완하여 시험준비에 보다 효율적으로 대비하도록 설계 및 구현하였다.

Distance learning systems that teacher and learner(s) are located at remote have been in progress in a way that directly transfer the video and audio. To get the interest of learners and effectiveness of education or to overcome the poor network environment, various methods utilizing computer graphics in the distance learning system have been attempted. This paper describes a design and implementation of a distance learning system using 3D animation control technology based on Kinect and network game technology. Distance learning system designed and implemented in this paper is a good example of combining education and game technology. And I expect to be used at various educational contents in the future.

This study investigates the reasons of dropout in a survey of 348 dropouts from a cyber university located in Seoul, Korea. Most common reasons are time constraints due to work or family-related needs. Difficulties in adjusting to online learning environment and uncertainties regarding the value of a cyber university degree also played important roles. Drop-out students who pointed to these two reasons also suffered from lack of communication and interaction with other students and professors. Efforts to address these issues are in order as well as the development of time-efficient learning strategies and financial aids.

In this paper, the results of previous studies and surveys conducted in this study were compared and analyzed to find out how the actual condition of distance learning being conducted due to COVID-19 is changing. As a result, it was found that the'content-oriented class' is being used the most in the current online class, and teachers are spending a lot of time preparing for class. In addition, it was found that' providing appropriate contents as learning materials' is the first item to be supported for online classes. Therefore, in order to improve online classes in the future, it is needed that learning materials that can be used to create class content should be provided to teachers sufficiently. Also, IT equipment and network expansion and the training of teachers for distance learning should be provided.

In contrast with the earlier remote education that simply recorded off-line classes, modern remote education emphasizes on offering additional functions that could maximize learning efficiency. Usage of such multimedia information as the texts, graphics, sounds, animations is considered fundamental element in offering the additional functions. This paper designs and implements an encoder/decoder that could accommodate the multimedia information with emphasis on demonstrating execution files. Instructors can demonstrate my type of execution files or application data files, and the remote learners can freely try running the corresponding execution files by themselves. Consequently, a high-level of learning efficiency can be achieved by the proposed encoder/decoder.

The purpose of this study was to identify whether need of cognition have a mediating effect on media multitasking on learning engagement in online education. The subjects were 168 university students who had received online education for more than one semester, and data were collected using questionnaires on media multitasking, need of cognition, and learning engagement. For data analysis, correlation, hierarchical regression and Sobel test were performed using SPSS WIN 20.0 program. As a result of the study, there was a significant positive correlation between media multitasking and learning engagement (r=.52, p<.001), and a between need of cognition and learning engagement(r=.39, p<.001). Media multitasking had a significant effect on learning participation (β=.52, p<.001), and explanatory power was 27%. When need of cognition was input, the effect of media multitasking on learning engagement decreased (β=.52 ⟶ .44), so it was found that need of cognition had a partial mediating effect in the effect of media multitasking on learning engagement(Z=2.77). p<.01). Therefore, it is suggested to use online contents with learning to organizing a g a lesson syllabus for distance education, and to organize activities promoting media multitasking activities. Also, it is proposed to develop and apply various teaching strategies to promoting the need of cognition in the distance education.

컴퓨터의 개발과 발달은 교육 환경상에 변화를 가져왔다. 초기 본인에게 부족한 부분을 보충 하는 자료를 이용할 수 있는 보조 교재 등의 형태로 나타났으며, 멀티미디어의 등장은 보충교재로의 질을 한 단계 증가시키는 계기를 마련하였다. 인터넷의 급속한 보급과 발달은 멀티미디어의 쉬운 접근과 다양한 형태를 획득할 수 있는 방법을 마련하여, 원격교육상에서 많은 활용이 가능하게 되었다. 하지만, 현재 인터넷을 이용한 평가의 경우 대부분 현재 학교에서 이루어지고 있는 평가와 유사한 단순한 텍스트와 간단한 그림등을 포함한 형태나 동영상등 멀티미디어와 문제는 별개인 형태로 행해지고 있다. 다양한 멀티미디어 자료를 활용하기 위해서 각 멀티미디어의 특성들과 문제의 특성을 고려해서 요소들 간에 동기화를 나타내기 위해서 SMIL을 확장한 방법을 이용하였다. 또한, 교수가 출제된 문제에 대해서 평가 등에 활용시에 현재 시스템들은 수정이 불가능하여 평가의 정확성을 떨어뜨리는 요인으로 작용한다. 본 논문에서는 교수와 문제의 상호작용을 통한 실시간 문제 수정기능과 과목별 특성을 고려한 멀티미디어 요소와 문제를 결합한 실시간 학습평가 시스템을 설계, 구현하였다.

인터넷이 보편화되고, 멀티미디어 처리기술과 정보통신 기술이 발전함에 따라 인터넷을 이용한 원격교육기술이 연구되고 있다. 강의를 저작하고 재생하는 원격강의 도구들이 개발되고 있지만, 강의전달의 효율성보다 슬라이드 자료를 기반으로 한 단순한 강의음성 녹음과 드로잉을 기록하고 재생하는 형태로 구성되어 있어 강의의 정확한 전달이나 부가적인 정보의 전달이 이루어지지 않고 있다. 본 연구에서는 강의의 보다 정확한 전달 및 부가정보 전달을 처리하여 면대면 효과가 높은 멀티미디어 강의저작을 지원하기 위한 캡션처리기를 설계하고 구현하였다. 구현한 캡션처리기는 텍스트로 입력된 강의내용을 전달하거나 여러 가지 메시지를 학습자에게 전달할 수 있으며, 하이퍼링크기능을 지원하여 특정 홈페이지로의 자동접속을 지원하여 다양한 교수자와 학습자의 상호작용을 지원하는 장점이 있다.
