  • 과거 드라마로 인기를 끌었던 전격 Z 작전에서 키트는 우리에게 자율주행 자동차라는 환상을 심어주었다. 이러한 자율주행 자동차가 이제는 꿈이 아닌 현실로 다가오고 있다. 자율주행 자동차에 대한 정의를 내려보면 운전자의 개입 없이 주변환경을 인식하고, 주행 상황을 판단하여, 차량을 제어함으로써 스스로 주어진 목적지까지 주행하는 자동차를 말한다. 이러한 자율주행 자동차는 교통사고를 줄이고 교통 효율성을 높이며 연료를 절감하고 운전을 대신해줌으로써, 편의를 증대시킬 수 있는 미래 개인 교통수단이 될 것으로 기대된다. 본고에서는 자율주행 자동차의 기술 구성 요소와 관련된 기술 개발 동향에 대해서 기술하고, 자율주행 자동차가 실제 적용되기 위해 필요한 법적인 문제와 향후 전망에 대해서 살펴본다.

  • Head-Up Display, an information-providing display, is a device that provides necessary information through a vehicle window for a driver when driving, with which the driver secures the visibility and acquires information necessary for driving. Head-up displays in early days were mostly installed in imported vehicles but increasingly, being installed in medium and large-sized domestic vehicles, they secures convenience of driving and information acquirement. The information display element of each of currently released brand cars not only has limits in consistency and in displaying interface but also reveals the limitation of a way to apply GUI, being applied to dot reflective form in terms of the technology type. Accordingly, this study draws real time information element described as necessary during driving through case survey and analysis, and aims to provide a user with new GUI guideline through transparent display technology recently developed based on results analyzed with priority of POI(Point of Interest) information.

Venturi Effects Induced by the Local Ventilation Fan in Large-Opening Room-and-Pillar Mining Sites (대단면 갱내 국부 선풍기의 벤츄리(Venturi) 효과 연구)

  • In large-opening room-and-pillar mining sites, particularly without the devices for the ventilation control, the airflow pattern created by the local fan operation is too complicated to quantify and also shows low ventilation efficiency. This study aims at performing a series of CFD analysis for the so-called venturi effects of the local fans; the effects of increasing airflow rate along the axis downstream of fan resulting from increased kinetic energy and subsequently decreased static pressure in the downstream. Effects of the fan type and installation height are compared. 1 vane-axial fan and 2 propeller fans are analyzed for their venturi effects, while the vane-axial fan was installed at the height of 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0m for comparison. The results can be applied to improve the economy and efficiency of local fans for securing better air quality and work environment management.

Factors which Influence Customers' Intention to Switch from Call-Based Driver-for-hire Services to App-Based Driver-for-hire Services Based on Online to Offline (O2O) Business Model: Focusing on Kakao Driver service (콜 대리업체 서비스에서 O2O 방식이 적용된 대리운전 사업 모델로의 소비자 전환 의도에 관한 연구: 카카오 드라이버를 중심으로)

  • Online-to-offline (O2O) commerce is the new trend that merges online commerce with traditional industries in various fields. The primary purpose of this paper is to find out which factors influence customers' intention to switch from call-based driver-for-hire services to O2O app-based services. This study used variables and factors based on Theory of Switching Intention, and Extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology in order to design research questions. We surveyed 500 users of call-based driver-for-hire services. According to the result of this study, dissatisfaction with the current call-based driver-for-hire services is estimated to be a significant factor that strengthens customers' intention to switch from the call-based driver-for-hire services to the app-based services. Loyalty to the previous call-based driver-for-hire services was not seen as a crucial motivator that causes customers to switch to the new O2O driver service. Switching cost also did not play a key role in explaining the relationship between dissatisfaction with the current call-based service and the intention to use the new app-based service. Performance expectancy, easiness in use, the level of user's knowledge or available assistance in relation to the use of app-based services, and expectancy for reasonable price was found to have meaningful impacts on customers' intention to switch from the call-based driver-for-hire services to the app-based services. Age, gender and user experience on the new service were found incapable of moderating the relationship between aforementioned factors which influence customers' choice of the app-based driver-for-hire service, and customers' intent to switch to the app-based service.

Sensibility Evaluation for Car Navigation System based on Vehicle-type Preference (선호 차종별 자동차 네비게이션 시스템의 감성평가)

  • Owing to the rapid increase of the number of automobiles, the traffic is being heavily crippled as time goes by. To provide drivers with better safety and convenience, a variety of CNSs(Car Navigation System) are being installed more and more specially for the vehicles which are produced in recent days. As the CNS has gained the public popularity, it has been playing a role as a component of the multimedia system in a vehicle in addition to providing the capability of route guidance service. It is, therefore, now recognized as an important unit of the vehicle interior system. As the situation has been changed as formerly described, it is necessary that not only the functions but also the usability and exterior features are to be designed to suit customers' tastes. This paper is an attempt to find out what the major sensibility factors which customers want as far as a CNS is concerned are. Because these factors can differ from a vehicle type to another that customers prefer, the analysis is based on the vehicle preference. It is proved that MDS(Multi Dimensional Scaling) is an effective method to analyze the sensibility factors for the different types of vehicles. The result shows that for the people who prefer the sedan-type vehicles, luxuriousness, harmoniousness, and texture are major factors. For people who like sports car, faminism, salience, and dynamics are major factors. For people who prefer SUV's(Sports Utility Vehicle) or MPV's(Multi Purpose Vehicle), solidity, dynamics, and convenience are important.

  • 대부분의 국가들이 노선버스의 운영을 공공부문에서 담당하고 있으나 우리나라를 비롯한 일부에서만 민간이 운영하고 있어 시민들을 위한 공익성만을 추구 할 수는 없는 입장이며 노선의 선정 또한 사업자와 공공이 협의하여 시행할 수밖에 없다. 이를 개선하기 위하여 버스노선 개편, 공동배차제 등 개선방안을 많은 지자체에서 시행하였지만 시민${\cdot}$업체${\cdot}$공공부문에서의 합의 도출은 지난한 상황이며 실행력이 없는 계획이 되고 있음을 여러 사례에서 볼 수 있다. Internet등 통신기술의 급속한 발달에 따라 통신을 통한 의사표출이 자유롭고 용이해지면서 일반지자체의 경우에 전체 민원 중 교통부문이 차지하는 민원이 $50\%$를 상회하고 있으며, 교통민원 중 $45.3\%$가 노선버스의 정시성 확보 및 운전기사의 불친절, 무정차 통과 등에 관한 것으로써 시민들이 가장 알고싶어 하는 사항이 버스의 실시간 운행상황임을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 실시간 버스정보제공을 통해 노선버스 이용자들의 대기시간 감소 및 이용편의를 증진시키고, 이를 통해 승용차 이용자를 대중교통수단으로 유도하여 대중교통을 활성화시키는 버스정보시스템(BIS ; Bus Information System)을 정립하며, 충주시 교통여건을 감안한 버스정보시스템 도입전략을 수립하고, 도입에 따른 기대효과를 분석하여 합리적이고 효과적으로 적용할 수 있는 지방자치단체 특히 충주시의 지능형 교통정보 시스템을 마련하는데 그 목적이 있다.

Design and Implementation of Mobile Crowdsourcing-based Driver Assistance Systems (MC-DAS) (모바일 크라우드소싱 기반 운전자 지원 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • In recent years, there have been increasing interests in the mobile crowdsourcing that exploits multiple sensors, communication and user interfaces, and the computation power of widespread smartphones. In this paper, we present a novel mobile crowdsourcing-based driver assistance systems (MC-DAS) that crowdsource the sensor data of smartphone app having already passed a road segment, generate its profile information through a massive data processing, and forward this profile to the smartphone app of vehicle entering the road segment. Based on the MC-DAS platform, we also design and implement a new navigation system that advices the vehicle speed depending on the speedbump and on the road curvature profile. We expect that the proposed MC-DAS platform will be used as a platform for emerging new mobile crowdsourcing applications.

An Adaptive Vehicle Platoon Formation Mechanism for Road Capacity Improvement (도로 용량 증대를 위한 적응적 차량 플라툰 형성 기법)

  • In the road environment with lots of vehicles, we can increase the number of vehicles on the road (i.e., road capacity) and enhance the comfortability of drivers if vehicles are organized into platoons. In the traditional vehicle platooning mechanisms, a pre-determined set of vehicles are allowed to form a platoon and, among them, a specific vehicle is designated as the platoon leader. In this type of platoon mechanisms, platoon is limited in improving the road capacity because the vehicles allowed to involve into platooning are restricted. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an adaptive platoon formation mechanism that allows any vehicle to be a platoon leader from which a platoon is formed. In the proposed mechanism, a platoon leader is elected based on the relative velocity and location information of neighboring vehicles obtained through the periodic exchange of beacon messages among vehicles. Through the NS-3 based simulations, we show the performance of our proposed mechanism in terms of road capacity improvement.

  • The information and communication technology that is being developed recently has been greatly influencing the automobile market. In recent years, devices equipped with IT technology have been installed for the safety and convenience of the driver. It is necessary to develop a system that can link the Smartphone with the vehicle in accordance with these changes. In this paper, first of all we analyze the car connectivity services that served by the other competitors. In addition, we proposed and implemented the improved system that can support and control most of smart device application in vehicle by user's NEEDS. We also implemented the application that can restrict the applications which unsatisfied the drive regulations and designed and proposed the scenario that can apply our company's car connectivity system in future.

  • Around-View, the image processing device which increases the comfort of drivers is sold in the market. This system prevents accidents in advance while driving or parking. The accidents are caused with their inexperienced driving or bad visibility. It is developed for driving convenience. However, it dosen't spread to the driver widely due to the problem of the high installation costs and complex installation process. First, expensive equipment second, difficult development environment and third, inconvenient installation procedure. So the drivers don't have many opportunities to use this system and dare to develop this system. I think if one of the problems can be solved, users might be able to access this system at low cost. In this paper, the AVM(Around-View Monitoring) minimizes two of them. Expensive equipment, inconvenient installation. The costly problems were solved by using low-cost USB device and rear cameras. In view of inconvenient installation process, the new system was designed to make it easy for people to install it. Through this, it can ease the burden of consumers.
