  • 각종 산업 플랜트엣 입형펌프의 공진문제는 다른 기계에 비해 자주 발생한다. 이는 입형펌프가 구조 특성상 대개 지반에 비해 기초강성이 낮은 콘크리이트 슬래브(slab)위에 설치되는 경우가 많고, 외팔보 형태의 펌프 위에 무거운 전동기가 설치되어 무게 중심이 횡형펌프에 비해 높게 되기 때문에 대형 입형펌프 구조물의 고유진동수는 낮게 된다. 그리고, 일반 대형펌프의 회전주파수도 저속임에 따라 축계의 불평형가진력에 의한 공진문제가 빈번하게 발생된다. 대형 입형펌프가 설비가동에 있어서 최중요 기계(critical machine)인 경우가 대부분이므로 높은 진동을 유발시키는 공진은 공장 설비운전의 안정성에 큰 영향을 미친다. 입형펌프의 전동기가 아무리 밸런싱 상태가 좋고, 설치상태가 펌프 전동기제작사의 설치조건을 만족한다 하더라도 전도이가 펌프위에 설치되어 운전될 경우 공진이 발생하게 되면 과도한 진동이 일어나게 된다. 이때 전동기에 부하가 걸리지 않는 전동기 단독운전 상태에서도 높은 진동이 나타나기 때문에 운전자는 흔히 전동기자체의 문제로 판정하곤 한다. 이같은 현상은 보통 진동원인이 전동기에 있지 않고 펌프의 전동기대(motor stool)와 전동기 시스템의 리드 공진(reed resonance)에 의한 결과이다. 본 논문에서는 입형 펌프에서 리드공진의 확인방법과 대책작업에 대해 실제 사례를 통하여 논한다.

Driver Characteristics and Workload according to Changing Driving Environment and Types of Steering Wheel (도로 주행환경 변화와 핸들종류에 따른 운전자 부하 및 행동특성)

  • The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of the driving performance and workload according to changing driving environment and types of steering wheel. Twelve drivers who participated in this study consisted of two groups; six Japanese as the left-lane drivers who was accustomed to driving on left-hand side of the road, and six Europeans, Americans, and Korean as the right-lane drivers who was accustomed to driving on right-hand side of the road. They were asked to operate a driving simulator while using two different types of steering wheel (for the left-hand side driving and the right-hand side driving). During the experiment, a range of data were measured including driving performance, mental workload, and eye movements which were recorded in order to identify the amount of time looking towards the in-vehicle route guidance. Results indicated that the use of the steering wheel by parallel moving led to increase high attentional demand and worse glance behavior to traffic signs for the left-lane drivers. In the case of the right-lane drivers, the effects by changing driving direction were more effective than the types of steering wheel due to their habit or traits.

  • Vehicle idle has become an increasing quality concern for automobile manufacturers because of its impact on customer satisfaction. As demand for better fuel economy increases, automobile manufacturers are continuously looking for any benefits from different driving conditions. Combustion variability in spark ignition engines was recognized that the stability of engine at idle is affected by the factors of fuel injection timing, ignition timing and air-fuel ratio. Therefore in this research, the results will be shown the effects of stability and the variations at idle according to fuel injection timing, ignition timing and air-fuel ratio as the basic parameters.

  • In driving situation, driver’s performance can be divided into primary task and secondary task. Many studies of primary task have been in progress, but those of secondary task are not implemented sufficiently. However, the driver’s error is greatly influenced by secondary task. In this study, an experiment was assessed to determine the relationship between the driver's operation time for the secondary task and mental workload due to speed changes in a driving simulation. The time to perform the secondary task was analyzed with Fitts’ Law, and mental workload was analyzed with RNASA-TLX(Revision of NASA-Task Load Index). The results has showed that the higher speed, the weaker the explanation by the use of Fitts' Law and the result of analyzing mental workload using RNASA-TLX was similar to the result of Fitts’ Law.

  • 농용트랙터의 운전자는 작업, 주행으로 인한 유해한 저주파 진동에 장시간 노출된다. 이에 따라 운전자에게 전달되는 노면 진동을 감소시켜주기 위한 전방차축 현가장치의 역할이 커지고 있다. 트랙터의 전방차축 현가장치는 주로 유압식으로 설계되어 있으며 이를 구성하는 유압요소 선정이 현가장치의 성능에 중요한 영향을 미친다. 하지만, 실제와 유사한 조건에서 트랙터 차체 무게만큼 큰 부하를 제공하여 유압회로의 성능을 실험하는 것은 비용과 시간 측면에서 비효율적이다. 본 연구에서는 이를 대체하기 위하여 개별 유압요소의 성능을 테스트 할 수 있는 현가장치 유압회로 요인 시험기를 설계제작 하였다. 이를 이용하여 개별 부품의 성능곡선을 센서를 이용 측정하였고 얻은 특성값을, 구성한 유압 시뮬레이션 모델에 반영하여 실제조건의 유압특성을 얻을 수 있는 유효한 시뮬레이션 모델 개발에 활용하였다. 또한, 실험실 환경에서 유압식 현가장치를 간소화 시킨 형태로 유압회로의 성능을 예비시험해 볼 수 있도록 다양한 센서를 장착 데이터를 취득할 수 있도록 하였다. 개발한 요인 시험기는 하부에 설치된 가진 실린더를 이용하여 상부에 설치된 현가장치 실린더의 스트로크 변위와 속도에 따른 힘을 측정할 수 있도록 구성하였다. 이를 위해 현가장치 실린더의 헤드부와 로드부에 각각 압력센서를 설치하였으며 헤드부, 로드부의 압력 차이와 로드셀을 이용해 측정한 가진 실린더의 힘의 관계를 확인하였다. 상부의 현가 실린더 장치는 복동 형태로 제작되어 헤드부, 로드부 양쪽 방향으로 유량이 흐를 수 있도록 설계되었다. 이를 이용해 헤드부와 로드부 사이에 어큐뮬레이터, 가변 오리피스, 릴리프 밸브 등으로 유압회로를 구성하였으며 어큐뮬레이터 용량에 따른 힘의 변화, 가변 오리피스의 개도량에 따라서 전달되는 힘의 크기 등을 측정하였다. 하부의 가진 실린더는 사인파, 삼각파, 계단 입력, DC 레벨 등의 신호를 발생시킬 수 있도록 제작되었다. 신호의 주파수는 0~4Hz, 범위에서 사용자가 조절할 수 있도록 설정되었으며 계단응답 성능 측정 시험을 평가한 결과 정상상태오차는 0.470mm~0.536mm, 입상시간은 0.194초~0.202초, 정착시간은 0.230초~0.421초로 나타났다.

  • This paper is to analyze and study the failure examples of fire by inflammables and electric contact faulty in interior of vehicle. The first example, the driver used to air freshener that remove the air conditioner bad smell. He get out of a car. And then, he put it on the crash pad. Before long, a fire breaks out because of explosion solar radiation. The second example, the driver used in room of a car. It certified the fire by disconnection phenomenon happened the electric overload. The third example, the driver install the heat rays to warm his body, In the initial stages, it didn't seek the dangerous of fire during using a car to 5,000km. This heat rays become to down durability so that produced the electric overload in an instant. The fourth example, after the man smoked the cigarette on riding with rear seat, he put it on seat in vehicle no extinguishing the burning cigarette. It knew the fact that burnt to ashes a car by on well combustible paper. Thus, the driver must consider a countermeasure for minimize the fire production when he use the inflammable and install adding electric system.

The Study of Driving Fatigue using HRV Analysis (HRV 분석을 이용한 운전피로도에 관한 연구)

  • The job of long distance driving is likely to be fatiguing and requires long period alertness and attention, which make considerable demands of the driver. Driving fatigue contributes to driver related with accidents and fatalities. In this study, we investigated the relationship between the number of hours of driving and driving fatigue using heart rate variability(HRV) signal. With a more traditional measure of overall variability (standard deviation, mean, spectral values of heart rate). Nonlinear characteristics of HRV signal were analyzed using Approximate Entropy (ApEn) and Poincare plot. Five subjects drive the four passenger vehicle twice. All experiment number was 40. The test route was about 300Km continuous long highway circuit and driving time was about 3 hours. During the driving, measures of electrocardiogram(ECG) were performed at intervals of 30min. HRV signal, derived from the ECG, was analyzed using time, frequency domain parameters and nonlinear characteristic. The significance of differences on the response to driving fatigue was determined by Student's t-test. Differences were considered significant when a p value < 0.05 was observed. In the results, mean heart rate(HRmean) decreased consistently with driving time, standard deviation of RR intervals(SDRR), standard deviation of the successive difference of the RR intervals(SDSD) increased until 90min. Hereafter, they were almost unchanging until the end of the test. Normalized low frequency component $(LF_{norm})$, ratio of low to high frequency component (LF/HF) increased. We used the Approximate Entropy(ApEn), Poincare plot method to describe the nonlinear characteristics of HRV signal. Nonlinear characteristics of HRV signals decreased with driving time. Statistical significant is appeared after 60 min in all parameters.

  • Urban railway are the most widely used means of transportation in the metropolitan area. It is difficult to draw out problems through the quantitative analysis technique because most of the research results show that most of the guide signs are installed with many or few guide signs. In this study, we propose a method to evaluate the information load and proper installation location at the main decision point in the transfer passageway for Suseo Station by applying Positive Guidance. As a result of analyzing the information load using this technique, it is suggested that the necessary information should be provided centered on the copper node because it provides confusion of the users by providing the same information in the transfer line. It is necessary to obtain guidance on how to remove the sign (advertising, high ceilings, etc). The study will be regarded as a key for the basis and placement of the guidelines for determining the appropriateness of the in the future urban railway station sign guide.

Power Generation Efficiency Model for Performance Monitoring of Combined Heat and Power Plant (열병합발전의 성능 모니터링을 위한 발전효율 모델)

  • The performance monitoring system in the power plant should have the capability to estimate power generation efficiency accurately. Several power generation efficiency models have been proposed for the combined heat and power (CHP) plant which produces both electricity and process steam(or heating energy, hereinafter expressed by process steam only). However, most of the models are not sufficiently accurate due to the wrong evaluation of the process steam value. The study suggests Electricity Conversion Efficiency (ECE) model with determination of the heat rate of process steam using operational data. The suggested method is applied to the design data and the resulted trajectory curve of power generation efficiency meets the data closely with R2 99.91%. This result confirms that ECE model with determination of the model coefficient using the operational data estimate the efficiency so accurately that can be used for performance monitoring of CHP plant.

  • In the semi-autonomous vehicle, before reaching a fully autonomous driving stage, it is imperative for the system to issue a take-over request(TOR) that asks a driver to operate manually in a specific situation. The purpose of this study is to compare whether head-up display(HUD) is a better human-vehicle interaction than head-down display(HUD) in the event of TOR. Upon recognition of TOR in the experiment with a driving simulator, participants were prompted to switch over to manual driving after performing a secondart task, that is, playing a game, while in auto-driving mode. The results show that HUD is superior to HDD in 'ease of use' and 'satisfaction' although there is no significant difference in reaction time and subjective workload. Therefore, designing secondary tasks through HUD during autonomous driving situation improves the user experience of the TOR function. The implication of this study lies in the establishing an empirical case for setting up UX design guidelines for autonomous driving context.
