A Feature-Oriented Requirement Tracing Method with Value Analysis (가치분석을 통한 휘처 기반의 요구사항 추적 기법)

  • Traceability links are logical links between individual requirements and other system elements such as architecture descriptions, source code, and test cases. These are useful for requirements change impact analysis, requirements conflict analysis, and requirements consistency checking. However, establishing and maintaining traceability links places a big burden since complex systems have especially yield an enormous number of various artifacts. We propose a feature-oriented requirements tracing method to manage requirements with cost benefit analysis, including value consideration and intermediate catalysis using features. Our approach offers two contributions to the study of requirements tracing: (1)We introduce feature modeling as intermediate catalysis to generate traceability links between user requirements and implementation artifacts. (2)We provide value consideration with cost and efforts to identify traceability links based on prioritized requirements, thus assigning a granularity level to each feature. In this paper, we especially present the results of a case study which is carried out in Apartment Ubiquitous Platform to integrate and connect home services in an apartment complex in details.

A Virtual Array Design of 77 GHz Vehicle Radar for Detecting Moving Targets (이동표적 탐지를 위한 77 GHz 차량레이더용 가상배열 설계)

  • This paper specifies on a virtual array design of a 77 GHz vehicle radar for detecting a moving target at a time division transmit and a near range. The virtual array designed reduces a hardware complexity, weight and price. However, a synthesized beam of the virtual array has a high side lobe by a phase distortion of receive signals when the moving target is detected at the time division transmit. For this, a subarray receive signal with a same phase is used and the side lobe of the synthesized beam is suppressed above at least 10 dB. Also the virtual array has a beam distortion by a spherical wave when the vehicle radar operates at near range. So a boresight receive signal of each target range is compensated at each receive signal. Therefore the synthesized beam with compensation recovers a normal main lobe and improves the side lobe about 10~15 dB.

  • In this paper, we present a result of our study on how to construct a HIMCS(hospital image management and communication system) based on Windows system. The proposed HIMCS is composed of image acquisition units, image archiving and processing units, display units, and all units are interfaced with LAN. We construct high speed image transmission system for distributed database and retrieval of various medical pictures in ward through image transmission system and realize integrated image diagnosis. Hospital image management and communication systems(HIMCS) have been proposed as a way to meet the challenge presented by the growing volume of medical imaging data. These systems are based on the concept of handing images in digital form, there by marking use of advances in computer-based technology. A HIMCS offers a wide spectrum of advantages over filmbased imaging. Digital acquisition of images eliminates the need for film processing and associated costs in both time and materials.

  • Because contemporary rolling stock system is complex and highly advanced, and it builds mutual interface, it is necessary to manage maintenance of rolling stock systematically. This study present a case, which shows how to adopt and apply RTD(Remote Transmission Device) integrated to train information collection device. After the train service is complete and the train enters the main subway station, various kinds of information collected from TCMS(Train Control Monitoring System) is transmitted to train depot information collection device through RTD. This study suggests that RTD integrated to train information collection device helps build an effective rolling stock maintenance system by improving reliability of data transmission and cutting maintenance costs.

  • Companies can identify user groups or consumption trends by collecting and analyzing opinions of many users on special subjects or their products as well as utilize them as various purposes such as predicting some specific trends or marketing strategies. Therefore current analyzing tools of social media have come into use as a means to measure the performances of social media marketing through network's statistical analysis. However these tools require expensive computing and network resources including burden of costs for building up and operating complex software platforms and much operating know-how. Hence, small companies or private business operators have difficulty in utilizing those social media data effectively. This paper proposes a framework applied into developing analysis system of social media. The framework could be set up and operate the system to extract necessary social media's data. Also to design the system, this study suggests a meta-model of proposed framework and to guarantee completeness and consistency, a formal specification of meta-model by using Z language is suggested. Finally, we could verify the clearness of framework's design by performing Z model checking of formal specification's output through Z-EVES tool.

  • In this paper, we developed a module that can execute the data acquisition of the real-time measured radiant rays in the specific part of the nuclear power station. This module that includes the RF communication function, paces around the power station, being loaded on robot and can obtain the generated radiant rays in the various places through the detecting devices. It is considered that this new developed radiant rays acquisition method will have the higher degree of efficiency as compared with the existing method and reduce the expenses of the maintenance and repair work.

  • In this paper, a technique that estimate the optimal capacity of the solar-wind hybrid power system for minimizing the total monthly electric power expenses is presented. The hybrid power system is assumed to be operated in connection with the utility power system and electric bill be paid for the power not covered by the hybrid system generation. Monthly generation cost is estimated based on total life-cycle cost analysis. The monthly utility power bill is assumed to be increased quadratically in proportion with the net utility power consumption which is the difference between the total monthly load minus the hybrid system generations. Test results demonstrate applications potential of the proposed technique.

  • Area of software measurement is active more than thirty years. There is a huge collection of researches but still no concrete software development effort, duration and cost estimation model. The data sets used to conduct previous studies in the duration estimation model are often small and not too recent, these types of models should not be apply in recent projects that have complex architecture and various development environment. Therefore, Oligny et al. presents empirical models that predict software project duration in accordance with project platform based on project effort using the log data transformation. These models are based on the analysis of 396 project data provided by release 4 of the ISBSG Benchmark. Applying Oligny et al.'s models to 534 project data provided release 6 of the ISBSG Benchmark, the project duration is affected by development type more than development platform. Therefore, This paper presents the model of duration estimation according to development type. This paper proves the duration is more affected by development type than development platform. And, The model according to development type is more adequate for duration estimation.

  • It is activated a virtual university(digital university) without limitation time and space that the diffusion of internet, the rapid development of information and communicative technologies, web-technology. It is great importance of school-site to support various and qualitative education services, to cut social education spending, to strengthen national competitiveness with breed expert. Many people who are in universities are putting a school-site to the test. So we need study and analysis it to build up a virtual-study-space efficiently on web. This thesis is supposed to help in school-site design to make it reduce errors and save time and efforts. First, it suggests most general design pattern by analysis visual elements using HTML Tag. Second, it suggests a guide-line and a specific of design to use convenience through research on web-design problem and finding out user's favor.

  • With the advancement of the Internet, bulky information overflows in the Web. When the Internet user wants to get the necessary information, it is essential to use the retrieval system. It is not easy for the user to get the information from the result of the retrieval system. Various research activities have been advanced for the result improvement of the retrieval system. Although retrieval results can be improved with ontology, it usually takes lots of costs for users to construct the Japanese domain ontology. This paper discusses how to integrate search result refinement and domain ontology refinement using the domain ontology tool called Japanese DODDLE, and how to improve the research result using the constructed ontology. To prove the effectiveness of the suggested methodology, the case study with rocket operation is performed and it shows that the methodology can be promising.
