Operation Fund Financing and Management Performance of National and Public Medical Institutions and Private Medical Institutions (국·공립의료기관과 민간의료기관의 운영자금 조달과 경영성과)

  • This study analyzed the financing ratio by operation fund financing method and their impact on management performance according to the establishment operation management entity of the medical institution. For the analysis method, ANOVA, logistic regression, and regression analysis were conducted using financial information registered with HASPA.The results of the study, The ratio of gross revenue to operating funds differed significantly depending on the establishment operation management entity. In addition, it was found that the financing ratio of each operation fund financing method was significantly related to the management results(deficit, surplus), and the impact of the operation fund financing method on management performance differed according to the establishment operation management entity. As a result, the management of operating funds of medical institutions is deemed appropriate to apply cost management first considering the ratio of revenue to operating funds, and then to utilize internal operating funds.

  • This study used the financial information of 29 Regional public hospitals registered in the HASPA. Regional public hospitals analyzed the ratio of operating financing by management activities and how they affect net profit. The results of the study, Regional Public Hospitals ratio of fund financing for management activities was 83.50 percent for medical revenues, 9.53 percent for Incidental Revenue of Medical, 4.54 percent for Contribution Revenue, 4.42 percent for Other non-medical profits, 1.21 percent for depreciation Expense and 0.73 percent for Amount of reserve for unique purpose project. As a result of examining the effect of financing by management operation on net profit, the ratio of operating funds by medical revenue, by incidental revenue of medical, by contribution revenue and by other non-medical profits had a positive impact on net profit of Regional public hospitals. And It has been confirmed that the ratio of amount of reserve for unique purpose project has a negative impact on net profit. Therefore, it is necessary for Regional public hospitals to manage costs in consideration of revenues and internal reserves.

  • 최근 일본에서는 ESCO사업에 PFI법을 새로이 적용하고 있다. 성과배분제, 성과보증제에 이어 이 제도를 적용할 경우, 국가 및 공공기관을 대상으로 하는 ESCO사업의 확대 및 자금조달이 한층 유리해질 전망이다. 지난 99년 제정된 PFI(Private Finance Initiative)법(민간자금 등의 활용에 의한 공공시설 등의 정비 등의 촉진에 관한 법률)에 근거한 사업은 ''공공시설 등''에 있어서 건설, 유지관리 운영 등을 민간의 자금, 경영능력 및 기술적 능력을 활용하는 사업방법으로 사업 전체의 리스크관리가 효율적으로 행해지는 것과 설게$\cdot$시공$\cdot$유지관리$\cdot$운영의 전부 또는 일부를 일체적으로 취급하는 것에 의해 사업비용의 절감이 기대되며 질 높은 서비스의 제공이 가능한 제도이다. 이것과 매우 유사한 개념을 가지고 있는 것이 성과보증제에 의한 ESCO사업이다. 민간사업자인 ESCO사업자가 자금을 조달하고 에너지절약 개수공사에 따른 설계$\cdot$시공$\cdot$, 운전$\cdot$유지관리, 계측$\cdot$검증, 에너지절감 보증 등의 서비스를 제공하며, 광열수도비 및 운전$\cdot$유지관리비의 절감분으로 모든 투자와 ESCO사업자의 경비를 지불한다. 또 에너지절감 및 공공의 이익보증을 포함한 퍼포먼스계약이라고 하는 형태를 취하는 것으로 공공 이익의 최대화를 도모함과 동시에 금융기관의 투자 리스크에 관한 우려를 회피할 수도 있다. 또 PFI법 특유의 법제상, 재정상의 조치와 재정상 및 금융상의 지원이라는 배려에 있다. 예를 들면, 국고채무부담행위의 설정, 행정재산 사용료의 무상화 또는 감면, 프로젝트 파이낸싱 등에 의한 자금조달을 고려할 경우에 있어서 담보권의 설정 등에 관한 제도를 합리적으로 정비하는 것이 가능하게 된다. 그 내용의 대강을 살펴본다.

  • 우리 나라의 금융기관들은 금융환경(金融環境)의 급격한 변화 속에서 일대 전환기를 맞고 있다. 대내적으로는 금리자유화를 비롯한 금융자율화(金融自律化)의 추진, 금융산업의 개편 등의 금융구조 조정이 진행되고 있고, 대외적으로는 국내금융시장에 대한 개방압력(開放壓力)이 가중되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적(目的)은 이상의 다양한 금융환경의 변화 중에서 1991년과 1993년에 실시된 1,2단계 금리자유화조치가 은행의 경영위험에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지를 증권시장(證券市場)의 반응을 통하여 규명하고자 한다. 구체적으로 일반적인 예상과 같이 금리자유화로 인하여 은행의 위험이 증가하였는지 아니면 금리자유화가 은행의 자금조달과 운용에 있어서 자율성과 유연성을 확보해 주어서 오히려 은행위험을 감소시켰는지를 실증적으로 검증한다. 주가자료를 이용하는 증권시장의 반응을 통한 은행위험의 분석은 은행에 관련된 재무정보를 신속하고 충분히 반영하는 효율적 시장이며 회계자료를 이용하여 은행위험을 추정하는 방법이 부적절하다는 가정하에서 합리화된다. 은행 위험은 은행감독 당국의 관심대상인 총위험과 은행주식 투자자의 관심대상인 체계적 위험의 두요소를 대상으로 한다. 본 연구의 증권시장반응을 통한 실증분석결과에 의하면 금리자유화조치 이후 은행의 위험은 예상과는 달리 증가하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 은행총위험은 증가하지 않았으며 체계적 위험은 오히려 2차 금리자유화 이후 하락하는 결과를 보여준다. 이는 금리자유화 조치가 은행의 자금조달과 운영에 있어서 운신의 폭을 넓혀줌으로써 금리 변동폭 증대로 인한 위험증가를 상쇄함을 의미한다. 이러한 결과는 미국의 금리자유화조치에 관련된 대부분의 연구결과와 일치한다. 또한 위험은 개별은행의 재무특성에 따라서 상이한 변화를 보여주었다. 특히 자산규모가 작은 후발은행의 경우 자금조달과 운영의 측면에서의 제한이 완화됨으로써 위험이 감소함을 보여준다. 따라서 정부당국자는 금리자유화의 긍정적 효과를 극대화하는 방향으로 적극적으로 금리자유화를 추진하는 것이 바람직하다.

An Empirical Study of Equity-Based Crowdfunding in Korea (국내 증권형 크라우드펀딩에 대한 실증연구)

  • Equity-based crowdfunding combines virtual technologies with traditional investing principles. Equity-based crowdfunding is a financing method for startups and small businesses to raise small amounts of capital from a "crowd" of investors. Small businesses can raise capital, advertise product or service, and receive feedback from crowds of investors in exchange for ownership equity in their business. This study examined the operational performance of equity-based crowdfunding in Korea. Data were collected from 125 success and failure equity-based crowdfunding of 75 firms. Results were as follows: First, success firms had a clear vision than failure firms in raising equity-based crowdfunding. Second, success firms had success experiences than failure firms in raising equity-based crowdfunding. Third, success firms had patents to technologies or products that are practical and that customers need. Fourth, success firms had three or more year long-term objectives than failure firms in raising equity-based crowdfunding. Finally, implications of the results were discussed.

  • The National Welfare Pension Act of 1973 and the National Pension Act of 1986 were legislated for an anticipative response to future population ageing. But the enforcement of these acts gained momentum as they became effective tools to realize the present potential demographic bonus. This article investigates the history related to the enactment of these two acts, focusing on these acts' role in raising funds managed by the government (National Investment Fund and National Housing Fund). This article shows the historical origin of full-dress debates on the sustainability of the National Pension Fund.

  • Crowdfunding is one of new financing alternatives and is innovative and creative. In order to proceed with crowdfunding, various functions are required, such as design for screen composition, marketing and promotion for the public, accounting to manage the collected funds, and product production and purchase for reward. In addition, since it is a project that must be completed in a short period of time, cooperation between team members is important. This paper studied how the characteristics of the team conducting crowdfunding affect the team performance in crowdfunding. In this study, we set functional background diversity and shared leadership necessary for crowdfunding as team characteristic variables and crowdfunding amount, completion of work and team innovation as team performance variables. This study tests the hypotheses from 220 university students in 79 teams. The findings suggest that functional diversity and shared leadership are positively related to the completion of work and team innovation but not related to crowdfunding amount. To date, few studies have studied the relationship between characteristics of the crowdfunding team and performance. Therefore, the study on functional diversity and shared leadership in crowdfunding can expand existing crowdfunding study area.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out whether the many start-up support programs provided by a college can actually help students start a business, and to discuss what role colleges should have as facilitators of student entrepreneurship. To this end, a qualitative study was conducted with seven students who wished to start a business by utilizing start-up education and support programs provided by College Y. As a result of the study, the participants first mentioned parallel and administrative inefficiency in entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurship programs. Second, the implications for the role of colleges in fostering start-up content are systematic planning and guidance for start-up programs operated by the college, concise administrative procedures, mentoring in various start-up items, and securing a test market. It can be said that the concept of a common office in which students can work together is necessary. The study is significant in that it can help to establish a start-up support plan by suggesting what role colleges should play in relation to entrepreneurship, but its limitation is that its scope includes only one specific major.

  • This study tried to identify the characteristics of college students' entrepreneurial intentions in the entertainment industry, focusing on existing literature studies. Based on this, it was intended to suggest realistic educational alternatives for university student start-ups and implications for start-up management to university start-up officials and those in charge of national start-up support policy. Therefore, the implications of this study are as follows. First, technology(item) for idea creation education, which is an essential element in the entertainment industry, how to connect ideas and products, technology methods that can increase content value, and user characteristics education within the entertainment industry will need to be continued. In addition, along with the idea education, it is necessary to increase the understanding of start-up business management such as financing, human resource management, marketing, and operation management, and furthermore, confidence education should be provided so that the possibility of success in an entertainment start-up and a sense of adventure in a new job can be developed. Second, the space and equipment necessary for start-up (club room, student start-up room, entertainment-related equipment, etc.) should be provided centering on the opinion survey of students who are interested in starting a business, and various regulations of universities and government for student start-up should be relaxed. will have to In addition, education for the formation of entrepreneurial knowledge inside and outside of the school, special lectures and consultations by experts, and on-the-spot education, etc., should be made to create more practical entrepreneurial knowledge. something to do. In addition, the meeting and the formation of friends should create a place for discussion about writing a business plan, how to succeed in starting a business, and management of startups, and psychological stimulation activities should be conducted so that each other's will to start a business arises. Fifth, various knowledge related to start-up (methods for securing funds, management of start-up organizations, grasping information about the market in which they want to start a business, etc.) should be cultivated, and how to write a business plan for the various entertainment industry fields they want to start up. A Study on the Buyer's Decision Making Models for Introducing Intelligent Online Handmade Services (지능형 온라인 핸드메이드 서비스 도입을 위한 구매자 의사결정모형에 관한 연구)

  • Since the Industrial Revolution, which made the mass production and mass distribution of standardized goods possible, machine-made (manufactured) products have accounted for the majority of the market. However, in recent years, the phenomenon of purchasing even more expensive handmade products has become a noticeable trend as consumers have started to acknowledge the value of handmade products, such as the craftsman's commitment, belief in their quality and scarcity, and the sense of self-esteem from having them,. Consumer interest in these handmade products has shown explosive growth and has been coupled with the recent development of three-dimensional (3D) printing technologies. Etsy.com is the world's largest online handmade platform. It is no different from any other online platform; it provides an online market where buyers and sellers virtually meet to share information and transact business. However, Etsy.com is different in that shops within this platform only deal with handmade products in a variety of categories, ranging from jewelry to toys. Since its establishment in 2005, despite being limited to handmade products, Etsy.com has enjoyed rapid growth in membership, transaction volume, and revenue. Most recently in April 2015, it raised funds through an initial public offering (IPO) of more than 1.8 billion USD, which demonstrates the huge potential of online handmade platforms. After the success of Etsy.com, various types of online handmade platforms such as Handmade at Amazon, ArtFire, DaWanda, and Craft is ART have emerged and are now competing with each other, at the same time, which has increased the size of the market. According to Deloitte's 2015 holiday survey on which types of gifts the respondents plan to buy during the holiday season, about 16% of U.S. consumers chose "homemade or craft items (e.g., Etsy purchase)," which was the same rate as those for the computer game and shoes categories. This indicates that consumer interests in online handmade platforms will continue to rise in the future. However, this high interest in the market for handmade products and their platforms has not yet led to academic research. Most extant studies have only focused on machine-made products and intelligent services for them. This indicates a lack of studies on handmade products and their intelligent services on virtual platforms. Therefore, this study used signaling theory and prior research on the effects of sellers' characteristics on their performance (e.g., total sales and price premiums) in the buyer-seller relationship to identify the key influencing e-Image factors (e.g., reputation, size, information sharing, and length of relationship). Then, their impacts on the performance of shops within the online handmade platform were empirically examined; the dataset was collected from Etsy.com through the application of web harvesting technology. The results from the structural equation modeling revealed that the reputation, size, and information sharing have significant effects on the total sales, while the reputation and length of relationship influence price premiums. This study extended the online platform research into online handmade platform research by identifying key influencing e-Image factors on within-platform shop's total sales and price premiums based on signaling theory and then performed a statistical investigation. These findings are expected to be a stepping stone for future studies on intelligent online handmade services as well as handmade products themselves. Furthermore, the findings of the study provide online handmade platform operators with practical guidelines on how to implement intelligent online handmade services. They should also help shop managers build their marketing strategies in a more specific and effective manner by suggesting key influencing e-Image factors. The results of this study should contribute to the vitalization of intelligent online handmade services by providing clues on how to maximize within-platform shops' total sales and price premiums.
