CMOS Integrated Capacitive Fingerprint Sensor with Pixel-level Auto Calibration Circuit (픽셀단위 자동보상회로가 적용된 용량형 지문센서의 CMOS구현)

  • We propose a pixel-level automatic calibration circuit scheme that initializes a capacitive fingerprint sensor LSI to eliminate the influence of the surface condition and environment, which is degraded by dirt during long-time use, process variation and ambient temperature. The sample chip is fabricated on $0.35{\mu}m$ standard CMOS process. The calibration is executed by optimizing the reference voltage in each pixel to make the sensor signals of all pixels the same. The calibration control circuit is composed of the sensing circuit and charge pumping circuit, and calibrates all pixels in a short time. 16-level gray scale fingerprint images can be captured to increase the accuracy of identification. This confirms that the scheme is effective for capturing consistent clear images during long-time use.

The Improvement of Evacuation Performance for Discount-Store in Underground (할인점 지하매장의 피난성능 개선에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to improve the Evacuation Performance o( the I)inc()unto-store in underground that is rapidly new shopping store in Korea. In this paper, The architectural properties of the floor plan and section was reviewed with egress focus, occupant load density of the Discount-store was surveyed and the procedure and method of performance based egress design for this occupancy was analysed with SIMULEX model and calculation method. As a result of modeling, more longer available safe egress time (ASET) is expected than required safe egress time (RSET)in underground discount-store. In order to improve the Evacuation Performance for this type occupancy, egress capacity including escape stair, aisle width, escape door is calculated with based on occupant load density and review of shopping cart's structure and size and maximum escape capacity of the cash counter.

A Study on Enhancement Methods of Level of Service Analysis for Pedestrian Sidewalks (보행자도로 서비스 수준 분석방법 개선 연구)

  • Currently, level of service(LOS) analysis methods for pedestrian sidewalks are provided in Korean Highway Capacity Manual(KHCM, 2013). However, conventional methods provided in the KHCM produce most of pedestrian sidewalks' LOS as level A, indicating that existing analysis methods are unable to reflect realistic pedestrian sidewalks' LOS. The objectives of this research are to identify the suitability of current LOS criteria and to propose improved LOS evaluation criteria and methods with pedestrian volume data carried out for 10,000 sites in 2009. This research proposes new criteria by using the qualitative definition of LOS proposed by Fruin and Hall, new standard Korean human scale and new criteria of pedestrian occupancy space. Application results of new criteria show that more realistic results can be achieved than the existing methods. It is expected that applying the newly developed criteria and methods can make planning, design and construction of pedestrian sidewalks more realistic and various.

영광 3, 4호기 사용 후 핵연료 저장시설의 용량증대

  • 현재 10년분의 사용후 핵연료를 저장할 수 있도록 설계된 영광 3, 4호기 사용후 핵연료 저장시설을 구조변경이나 reracking없이 핵연료 저장밀도를 변경함으로써 그 저장용량을 약 3년 정도 늘릴 수 있음을 보였다. 영광 3, 4호기 사용 후 핵연료 저장시설의 경우 열수력해석, 구조해석, 방사선해석은 이미 100% 저장밀도를 가정하여 설계가 되어 있으므로 여기에서는 임계안전 측면에서 100% 저장밀도가 가능한가를 분석하였다. 사용후 핵연료 저장시설중 일정 기준 이상으로 연소된 사용후 핵연료만을 저장할 수 있게 설계된 영역 2의 핵연료 저장밀도는 현재 75% 인데, 이 영역의 저장밀도를 중성자 흡수체를 쓰지 않고도 100%로 높일 수 있는가를 알아보기 위해 먼저 영역 2에 100%의 저장밀도로 저장할 때 임계안전을 만족하는 사용후 핵연료의 최소연소도를 핵연료의 초기농축도에 따라서 계산하였다. 이렇게 계산된 저장 가능 최소연소도를 노심에서 연소된 후 방출되는 핵연료의 예상연소도와 비교하여 노심에서 연소된 후 정상적으로 방출되는 사용후 핵연료는 영역 2에 100%의 저장밀도로 안전하게 저장될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • In this study, compare and analyze for high-rise evacuation safety design criteria improvement about internal high-rise building egress safety rule. To the result, high-rise evacuation safety design criteria improvement data can be summarized as follows. First, should compute the evacuation capacity about the number of persons and when more than 2 exits are requested, over 50% of evacuation capacity must be satisfied even approaching to 1 exit is unable. Second, 2 ways of evacuation can be made smoothly by the stair or exit separation-distance standard regulation. Third, regulate the length limitation of dead-end corridor or passageway and it should give grades in limitation of whether the spring-cooler has been installed. Fourth, must secure the evacuation way and do the evacuee guidance when it's safety area and elevator or stair. Also needs to provide extra safety area to secure horizontal direction Escape Safety except fire escaping floor.

  • The standards of ventilation system for bi-directional tunnel have not been established now. For this reason, with regard to the bi-directional tunnel below 1km, some problems have been appeared in ventilation capacity designing and in determining whether the mechanical ventilation system is needed or not for each case. In this study, we examine the characteristics of natural ventilations, analyze ongoing ventilation design cases for bi-directional tunnels and classify those cases into two groups. This study is carried out about the capability of using natural ventilating system by calculation of reasonable ventilation capacity in bi-directional tunnel and review of relationship between natural wind speed ($Vr^*$) and required speed(Vreq). This paper aims at providing a basis data for bi-directional tunnel ventilation design standards.

  • The capacity concept presented in the Highway Capacity Manual is for steady-state traffic flow assuming that there is no restriction in downstream flowing, which is traditionally used for planning, design, and operational analyses. In the congested traffic condition, the control objective should be to keep the congested regime from growing and to recover the normal traffic condition as soon as possible. In this control case, it is important to predict the spatial-temporal pattern of congestion evolution or dissipation and to estimate the throughput reduction according to the spatial-temporal pattern. In this context, the new concept of dynamic capacity for managing congested traffic is developed in terms of spatial-temporal evolution of downstream traffic congestion and in view of the 'input' concept assuming that flow is restricted by downstream condition rather than the 'output' concept assuming that there is no restriction in downstream flowing (e.g. the mean queue discharge flow rate). This new capacity is defined as the Maximum Sustainable Throughput that is determined based on the spatial-temporal evolution pattern of downstream congestion. And the spatial-temporal evolution pattern is estimated using the Newell's simplified q-k model.

SMX-1 신호링크기능 S/W설계 및 구현

  • 본 고에서는 국내 신호망에 사용될 NO.7 신호방식을 채택한 신호중계교환기 SMX-1 시스팀의 메시지전달부(MTP)중 레벨2 신호링크 기능에 대한 소프트웨어의 설계 및 구현에 대하여 기술하였다. SMX-1 시스팀내에서 요구하는 레벨2 신호링크의 기능은 NO.7 신호방식-메시지전달부 국내기준안에서 제시한 신호링크 고유기능, 고신뢰도가 만족되도록 설계된 SMX-1 시스팀의 유지보수기능, SMX-1 시스팀 운용시 망상태 파악 및 가용도 등을 파악하기 위해 필요한 측정 및 감시 기능들이 구현되었다. 또한 신호링크 고유기능중에서도 설계자 구현 의존 사항들인 신호 전송로 차단때의 감지 기능, 신호링크 폭주 기능, 옥텟계수 모드 처리기능, 긴 메시지 수신처리 기능 등이 구현되었다. 구현 완료된 신호링크기능이 NO.7 신호방식-메시지전달부 국내기준안에서 요구하는 메시지전달부 신호전송성능의 신호트래픽 처리용량을 만족하는지를 확인하기 위하여 NO.7 프로토콜 분석기를 통하여 시험하였으며 그 결과를 분석 및 기술하였다.

국산 맥동관형 크라이오 펌프 시제품 종합특성평가 및 성능개선안

  • 저소음, 저진동이 장점인 맥동관형 냉동기 및 이를 이용한 크라이오 펌프를 국산화하는 연구개발사업이 상당히 진전되어 첫 번째 시제품을 완성했다. 3개월 여에 걸쳐 냉동기 냉동능력, 진동 및 펌프 냉각시간을 포함해서 질소, 수소 또는 알고에 대한 펌프 배기속도, 배기용량, 최대유량, 교차값, 알곤회복시간 등 규격, 비규격을 통틀어 모든 평가항목을 망라하는 펌프 배기 성능시험을 완료했다. 성능평가결과에 나타난 시제품의 장단점을 분석하여 보완 및 개선점을 찾고 이를 완제품 제작에 반영하려고 한다. 내경 14인치인 크라이오 펌프 시제품의 질소 배기속도는 목표치를 30% 정도 상화하여 4,600 L/s가 나왔고 배기용량은 약 45만 $mbar{\cdot}L$에 달했으며 교차값은 2,200 $mbar{\cdot}L$로 측정되었다. $5{\times}10^{-8}$ mbar 기준 알곤 회복시간은 2분 정도로 5분 이내라는 기준을 만족했다. 한편 20 K까지 펌프 냉각시간이 135분이므로 15분 이상 단축이 필요한데 이는 열차폐 특히 배플의 열적설계를 개선함으로써해결하려고 한다. 그리고 수소에 대한 배기성능 개선을 위해 활성탄 어레이의 제작공정을 표준화할 필요가 있다.
