The objective of this study is to find major variables which influence the performance of kitchen and bathroom exhaust systems in high-rise apartment buildings. For this purpose, the influencing factors on the exhaust airflow rates from the kitchen or bathroom are identified and in every cases, which are made of combinations between the influencing factors, the exhaust airflow rates are calculated through the simulations. The results of the simulation show that the exhaust airflow rates from the kitchen and bathroom mainly depends on outdoor air temperature, number of floors, airtightness of the building envelope, fan on ratio, vertically connected to same shaft, exhaust fan capacity for kitchen or bathroom, roof ventilator capacity and shaft area for kitchen or bathroom exhaust.

초고층 공동주택에 설치되는 주방 및 욕실의 배기를 외부로 배출하는 방법은 공용유도관로인 수직덕트를 설치하고 그 상부말단에 하이브리드 루프팬의(hybrid roof fan)이 설치하는 것이다. 하이브리드 루프팬의 기능은 자연통풍력이 약한 하절기는 강제적으로 루프팬에 의해 구동하고 자연배기를 수행할 수 있을 정도로 자연통풍력이 큰 동절기는 루프팬을 운전하지 않는 기능을 보유하도록 유도하는 것이다. 본 고는 이러한 하이브리드 루프팬의 운전조건을 53층 높이의 임의 공동주택에 대해, 수직덕트의 선정한 후, 제시하고자 한다.

본 연구의 목적은 현행 교과서의 노인주거 내용에 대한 교사의 중요도 인식을 조사하여 노인주거 교육내용 구성과 교수학습 과정에 참고할 수 있는 기초 자료를 제공하는 것으로 이를 위해 7차 교육과정 기술 가정 교과서 10종의 주생활단원 노인주거 내용을 5개 내용요소의 67개 항목으로 분석하였으며, 기술 가정 교사 233명을 대상으로 중요도 인식을 조사하였다. '안전성과 안전관리'의 11개 항목 중 욕실과 화장실의 안전에 관한 항목이 가장 비중이 높았으며 욕실 화장실의 안전에 관한 항목(욕실 화장실 바닥 미끄럼 방지 처리, 욕실 화장실 안전 손잡이, '샤워기 욕조 세면대의 위치와 높이조정)에 대한 교사의 중요도 인식도 높았다. '노인실 계획'의 7개 항목에서는 보편적으로 적용할 수 있는 기본적 지침(긴급 통보 장치, 화장실을 가깝게 배치, 턱이 없고 높이가 같은 바닥)에 대한 교사의 중요도 인식이 높았다. '가족축소기 및 주거의존기'의 20개 항목에서는 안전사고 방지를 위한 설비 갖추기와 노후기 주거 상황에 보편적으로 적용 가능한 항목(긴급 통보 장치, 턱이 없고 높이가 같은 바닥, 미끄럽지 않은 바닥)에 대한 중요도 인식이 높았다. '3세대 동거 주택'의 11개 항목에서는 안전에 관한 원칙적 내용이나 세대간의 독립성 확보에 관한 항목(노인을 위한 주거 안전 고려, 독립성을 보장하는 세대간의 공간 배치, 노인 전용의 욕실 화장실 두기)에 대한 중요도 인식이 높았다. '유니버설 디자인의 25개 항목에서는 욕실 화장실의 안전한 사용이나 이동의 편리성을 보장하는 항목(욕실 화장실의 안전 손잡이, 턱이 없고 높이가 같은 바닥, 휠체어가 회전할 수 있는 문이나 통로, 휠체어가 통과할 수 있는 문이나 통로)에 대한 중요도 인식이 높았다. 본 연구의 결과에 따라 노인주거 교육내용 구성과 교수학습에 대해 제언할 점은 첫째, 여러 내용요소에 공통으로 포함되며 교사의 중요도 인식이 높은 4개 항목(긴급 통보 장치, 욕실 화장실 안전 손잡이, 턱이 없고 높이가 같은 바닥, 미끄럽지 않은 바닥)을 보편적인 노인주거 교육내용으로 활용할 수 있으며, 둘째, '안전성과 안전관리'의 중점은 욕실 화장실의 안전이 되어야 하며, 셋째, '노인실 계획'의 중점은 화장실의 근접 배치와 보편적 디자인 지침이 되어야 하며, 넷째, '가족축소기 및 주거의존기'의 중점은 안전사고 방지 설비와 보편적 디자인 지침 및 고령화 대비와 연계되는 내용이 되어야 하며, 다섯째, '3세대 동거 주택'의 중점은 노인 주거 안전과 세대 간의 독립성 확보에 관한 내용이 되어야 하며, 여섯째, '유니버설 디자인'의 중점은 보편적 디자인 지침과 이동의 편리성을 보장하는 것으로 관련법과도 일치하는 내용이 되어야 하는 것이다.

In the design guideline about the existing elderly house, the equipment related to kitchen and bathroom are the most important in the secure and functional aspect. On the other hand, the present elderly house is being designed according to foreign design guideline or common housing form instead of reflecting living and physical qualities of the korean elderly. Therefore, in this study based on the guideline of the existing literature, we made kitchen and bathroom equipments and conducted an experiment in finding proper position and height for korean elderly enough to use the kitchen and bathroom conveniently and independently. Based on the guideline of the existing literature related to foreign and domestic elderly house, we made Mock-up furnished with the equipments of kitchen and bathroom. The equipments of kitchen consist of sink and shelves to be capable of changing height. The equipments of bathroom consist of different height wash bowls, toilet stools, grab bars, and a bathtub. The study was accomplished by observing and measuring the use of the elderly.

Based on the T-method, a new scheme for predicting air flow rate distribution in a bathroom exhaust system is developed. Introduction of individual duct route enables us to disintegrate a complicated multi-fan ductwork into a set of simultaneous single-fan subsystems. The scheme is validated via the analysis of a well-posed test problem, showing physical consistency. In order to demonstrate the utility and capability of our method, the bathroom ventilation system in a 20-story residential building is selected as an example. Under the typical design condition, the air flow rate of each exhaust fan at the balancing point is successfully predicted, and such information can lead to an engineering estimation for the overall system performance. While some deficiencies in ventilation are found at bathrooms at lower floors with 6mmAq-rated exhaust fans, they disappear over the whole building by using fans of enhanced static pressures, 7 and 8mmAq. Finally the present scheme seems to be useful for practical design of multi-branched, multi-fan ventilation systems.

This study aims to select the proper vocabularies for evaluation about the noise emission from water supply and drain installations in apartment bathroom. As a result of surveying overlapping vocabularies and scores of them for each sound sources, 'annoying', 'noisy', 'dynamic' and 'strident' are main unpleasant vocabularies to the noise from water supply and drain installations in apartment bathroom. And vocabularies such as 'dynamic', 'sudden', 'loudness', 'noisy' are classified into the first factor by analysis.

This study was analyzed the correlation between physically measured values and psychological response for noise of water supply and drain installations in apartment bathroom. It exhibited the noise criteria of water supply and drain installations in apartment bathroom after recording noise of water supply and drain installations. Also, It was carried out the field psycho-acoustic test to find a correlation between physically measured values and psychological response of the noise criteria of water supply and drain installations in apartment bathroom, and the results is that 40dB (A) to 45dB (A) was investigated suitable in lowest criteria.
