ATM Network Resource Mangement and Control via Virtual Path Reconfiguration (가상 경로 재구성을 통한 ATM망 자원 관리 및 제어)

  • In order to sufficiently utilize the potential effectiveness of ATM networks, systematic and effective network management and control systems must be employed. In addition to network design, planning, and call routing techniques used in traditional circuit-switched networks. ATM networks can provide logical VP(Virtual Path) reconfiguration capabilities which can adapt to changes in the network environment. With a proper application of the VP reconfiguration technique, ATM networks can reduce the overhead of frequent network redesign and the overhead of call routing processing. However, ATM VP reconfiguration is a very complex and difficult problem which consists of many facets of optimization subproblems such as VP routing. VP sizing, VP terminating point location and VC routing. Most previous research on the ATM logical network reconfiguration problem dealt with the subset of the problem. This paper mathematically formulates the ATM network reconfiguration problem completely considering all subproblems. Since it is very difficult to derive the optimal solution of the formulated problem, we develop a heuristic method based on a Max min bandwidth allocation principle. We show the feasibility of the proposed heuristic method with a simple example.

Automatic Mesh Generation by Delaunay Triangulation and Its Application to Remeshing (Delaunay 삼각화기법을 이용한 유한요소망의 자동생성과 격자재구성에의 응용)

  • An algorithm for automatic mesh generation of two-dimensional arbitrary planar domain is proposed by using Delaunay triangulation algorithm. An efficient algorithm is proposed for the construction of Delaunay triangulation algorithm over convex planar domain. From the definition of boundary, boundary nodes are first defined and then interior nodes are generated ensuring the Delaunay property. These interior nodes and the boundary nodes are then linked up together to produce a valid triangular mesh for any finite element analysis. Through the various example, it is found that high-quality triangular element meshes are obtained by Delaunay algorithm, showing the robustness of the current method. The proposed mesh generation scheme has been extended to automatic remeshing, which is applicable to FE analysis including large deformation and large distortion of elements.

A Remeshing Criterion for Large Deformation Finite Element Analysis (대변형 유한요소해석에서 요소망의 재구성을 위한 기준)

  • In this paper, a remeshing criterion has been suggested in order to order to automate the remeshing decision during finite element analysis of metal forming. In order to use for the remeshing decision, two of remeshing criteria have been investigated. One is the use of error estimates based on errors in stresses and strain rate of the finite element solution and the other is the use of geometric characterisreics of distorted elements. As a result, the strain rate error estimate in power norm based on the former is found to give more valuable information about remeshing decision than the ones based on the latter. Examples are given to demon- strate the usefulness of the suggested eroor estimate as a remeshing criterion.

  • In this paper, a local remeshing technique assisted by flexible user-interface capabilities is presented for precise forging simulation. The rigid-plastic finite element formulation is introduced and the detailed approach to the new local remeshing technique is given. A piercing process in cold forging is simulated by the presented technique and the simulated results are compared with those obtained by the technique and the simulated results are compared with those obtained by the conventional approach and experiments. A typical application example is also given, which emphasizes the capability of the local remeshing technique in forging simulation.

  • The remeshing is a method to replace a distorted mesh by a new mesh without interrupting the finite element calculation. The remeshing procedure in this paper refers to the rezoning, for which a sm oothing process is developed to alleviate the distortions of mesh. In the paper, an automatic finite element rezoning system with tetrahedral elements for large deformation analysis has been developed. Our smoothing process is composed of two steps, a surface smoothing and a volume smoothing. In the surface smoothing, checking the dihedral angle and projection on surface patch reduced the change of shape and nodes penetrating die. The constrained Laplacian smoothing has been employed for the volume smoothing process. The state variables are mapped from old mesh to new mesh by using volume coordinates within a tetrahedral element. All these procedures have been linked to the NIKE3D program As illustrated in the examples the overall strategy ensures a robust and efficient rezoning scheme for finite element simulation of metal-forming processes.

A New Global-Local Analysis Using MLS(Moving Least Square Variable-Node Finite Elements (이동최소제곱 다절점 유한요소를 이용한 새로운 전역-국부해석)

  • We present a new global-local analysis with the aid of MLS(Moving Least Square) variable-node finite elements which can possess an arbitrary number of nodes on element master domain. It enables us to connect one finite element with a few finite elements without complex remeshing. Compared to other type global-local analysis, it does not require any superimposed mesh or need not solve the equilibrium equation twice. To demonstrate the performance of the proposed scheme, we will show several examples in relation to capturing highly local stress field using global-local analysis.

소성가공 공정의 컴퓨터 응용설계를 위한 제반 과제

  • 소성가공 공정설계의 컴퓨터를 이용한 최적설계를 위하여 선결되어야 기술적 과제를 (i) 구성방 정식, (ii) 윤활 및 마찰조건, 그리고 (iii) 적응적 유한요소망 재구성법 등 3가지 분야로 대별하여 논의하였다. 적절히 선택된 마찰/구속조건 등 경계조건 (boundary condition) 과 적절한 유한 요소망의 구성을 통하여 최종제품의 형상을 만들어내기 위한 금형의 형상 등을 유한요소법으로 해석하여 공정설계상의 시행착오의 범위와 횟수를 줄일 수 있다(7,8). 또 하나의 예로서 자동 차의 자체 등 비교적 대형의 판재가공에서 펀치에 의한 본격적인 가공행정이 이루어지기 전에 판재 자체가 중력에 의하여 처지게 되는데 이러한 중력에 의한 피가공재의 초기 처짐은 최종제 품의 형상에 직접적인 영향을 주게 된다. 이 경우 기존의 유한요소 해석 기법을 사용하여 초 기처짐을 제어하기 위한 판재의 가공전 고정용 금형(binder wrap)의 최적설계를 훌륭히 수행할 수 있다. 이같이 현재의 유한요소 해석법은 많은 기술적 과제를 지니고 있으나 동시에 소성가 공의 컴퓨터 응용설계를 실현하기 위한 궁극적 도구로서 매우 큰 활용 잠재력을 지니고 있다.

SDR 기반 단말기 기술 및 동향

  • 본 논문에서는 SDR(Software Defined Radio)을 기반으로 한 단말기의 핵심 구성 요소 재구성형 단말모뎀 기술을 개념과 동향을 살펴 본다. SDR 단말 모뎀은 재구성형 H/W 플랫폼과 재구성을 위한 S/W 구조를 기반으로 하고 있다. 재구성을 위한 S/W의 구조에 대한 연구는 그 동안 많이 진행되었으나, 이를 실현할 H/W 기술의 개발 지연으로 인해 전면적인 SDR 개념의 단말의 도입에는 상당한 시간이 걸릴 것으로 판단된다. 반면, 최근 들어 재구성형 단말 H/W 분야에서 다양한 솔루션들이 등장하면서 상용화 가능성이 높아지고 있다. 특히 제조업체 관점에서는 새로운 시스템에 대한 개발 기간과 비용의 절감, 그리고 사업자 관점에서는 새로운 서비스의 빠른 망 적용 및 다양한 망 형상 전개 용이성 등의 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 재구성형 단말 플랫폼의 개념과 개발 동향 및 발전 방향을 살펴보고, 재구성형 모뎀 솔루션을 적용한 개발 사례를 소개한다.
