Open innovation is known to have a significant impact on the performance of enterprise innovation. The role of open innovation is more critical due to small scale and limitation on the available resources for the venture company. This study focused on the relationship among Entrepreneurship(ENT), Innovation Capability(IC), and External Cooperation(EC), which affect Technological Innovation Performance(TIP) to maximize TIP. Empirical study was proceeded to analyze the relationships among ENT, IC, EC, and TIP for venture companies in Busan. ENT was verified to have a positive impact on IC, EC, and TIP. IC was done on EC and TIP. EC was done on TIP. Each of IC and EC showed positive mediating role in the relationship between ENT and TIP. Finally, IC and EC together performed positive mediating role in the relationship between ENT and TIC.

Temporary structures provide the accessible working area when building a permanent building structure in the construction operation. Executed in a natural environment, the temporary structure is prone to the external influence factors of underground water, soil conditions, etc. These factors should be carefully considered in designing the temporary structure. The objective of this study is to apply the external influence factors in designing a more reliable earth retaining wall. The research methodology is based on the Taguchi method that has been studied to improve product quality in the industry. An orthogonal array was developed to analyze the interaction between the external influence factors and the internal influence factors. A sample case study demonstrated that the Taguchi method can be used in planning a more reliable temporary structure for earth retaining walls.

This study examines the relationship between firms' external search strategy and their innovation performance. In addition to revisiting the relationship between open search strategy and product innovation, we further extend the impact of use of external knowledge sources to process and organizational innovation. Using the 2010 Korean Innovation Survey (KIS) of manufacturing firms, we report that on average, venture firms search more widely (external search breadth) and deeply (external search depth) across a variety of external search channels than non-venture firms. We then further explore the impact of venture and non-venture firms' use of external search strategies on innovation performance. We find that both searching widely and deeply increase the likelihood of non-venture firm's successes in product, process and organizational innovation. Similar results can be found for the venture firm's success in organizational innovation. However, only searching deeply increases the likelihood of venture firms' success in product and process innovation.

This study deals with literature review, developing a predicting equation for the ultimate stress of internal and external prestressing steel, and an experimental test with the parameters affecting the ultimate stress of prestressing steel in prestressed concrete beams strengthened by external prestressing tendons. The proposed predicting equation takes rationally the effect of internal and external prestressing steels into consideration as a function of prestressing steel depth to neutral depth ratio. In the experimental study, prestressed concrete beams strengthened using external steel tendons are tested with the test parameters having a large effect on the ultimate stress of internal and external prestressing steel. The test parameters include internal and external prestressing steel reinforcement ratio and span to depth ratio. The test results are analyzed to confirm the rationality and applicability of the proposed equation for predicting the ultimate stress of internal and external prestressing steel. This research shows that the results obtained by the proposed equation for predicting the ultimate stress agreed very well with the test results.

Purpose: As the intensity and frequency of natural hazards are increasing due to climate change, external events that affecting nuclear power plants(NPPs) may increase. NPPs must be protected from external events such as natural hazards and human-induced hazards. External events that may occur in NPPs should be identified, and external events that may affect NPPs should be identified. This study introduces the methodology of identification and screening methods for external events by literature review. Method: The literature survey was conducted on the identification and screening methods of external events for probabilistic safety assessment of NPPs. In addition, the regulations on the identification and screening of external events were investigated. Result: In order to minimize the cost of external event impact analysis of nuclear power plants, research on identifying and screening external events is being conducted. In general, in the identification process, all events that can occur at the NPPs are identified. In the screening process, external events are selected based on qualitative and quantitative criteria in most studies. Conclusions: The process of identifying and screening external events affecting NPPs is becoming important. This paper, summarize on how to identify and screen external events for a probabilistic safety assessment of NPPs. It is judged that research on bounding analysis and conservative analysis methods performed in the quantitative screening process of external events is necessary.

Bi-2223 테이프의 실제 전력기기 응용측면을 고려할 때 테이프는 외부자계하에 놓이게 된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 외부자계가 Bi-2223 테이프의 통전손실에 미치는 영향에 대해서 조사하였다. 비교적 작은 자계가 인가된 경우는 전압리드의 배역이 통전손실측정에 영향을 미쳤으나 비교적 큰 자계가 인가된 경우는 전압리드의 배열에 무관하다는 사실과, 전계와 통전손실은 외부사계가 증가함에 따라 각각 증가하였으며 비교적 큰 자계가 인가된 경우에 통선손실은 동저항 손실이 지배적이었으며. 외부자계가 작은 영역에서 통전손실은 동저항 이외의 또 다른 메카니즘에 의한 것으로 사려된다.

The satellite in space has a tiny size but is subject to the disturbance torques caused by various sources. The presence of environmental disturbance torques significantly affects the orient as well as the orbital motion of satellite. The sources of environmental effects on LEO Satellite attitude dynamics are various. Four of these, gravity gradient, Earth's magnetic field, solar radiation pressure and aerodynamic are dominant and deterministic. In this study, we describe the model of environmental disturbance torques acting on LEO Satellite and the effects of environmental disturbance torques on LEO Satellite attitude dynamics in detail.

보다 바람직한 운전 경험을 제공하기 위하여, 운전자의 감성에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 관심이 높아져 가고 있다. 본 연구에서는 운전자의 운전 시의 기분 혹은 감정상태에 영향을 미치는 외부요인으로 도로 소통 상황, 계절, 날씨, 운전 시각, 운전 지역을 추출하였으며 운전자 개인의 감정상태를 결정짓는 주관적이고 심리적인 요인은 배제하였다. 운전 경력 3 년 이상의 운전자를 대상으로 감성 상태는 긍정/부정, 흥분/안정의 2 가지 축으로 나뉘어 측정하였다. 운전자의 무드는 중립을 기준으로 양 극단보다는 중립에 가까운 상태에 주로 분포하였는데 긍정/부정에는 각각 고루 분포한 반면, 흥분/안정에서는 안정 쪽에 더 많이 분포한 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 다섯 가지 외부 요인들이 모두 운전자의 무드에 영향을 미쳤으며 도로 소통 상황이 긍정/부정과 흥분/안정 모두에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 감성의 긍정/부정 축에서는 계절, 날씨, 소통 상황, 그리고 운전 지역이 유의미하였으며, 감성의 흥분/안정 축에서는 운전시간과 소통 상황이 유의미하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 확장시켜 운전자의 감성에 영향을 미치는 외부 요인들을 데이터베이스화하여 운전자를 위한 다양한 제품 및 서비스 개발에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

This research empirically analyzes not only the direct impact of the external technological information network diversity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on the sales growth from their technology development but also the mediating impact of their productivity improvement and the moderating effect of the technology development driven by CEO on this direct impact in order to deepen the research stream on SMEs' external technological information network. Based on the ordinary least squares regression by using 2,200 data of South Korean SMEs, this study reveals the three findings. First, SMEs' external technological information network diversity positively influences their sales growth from technology development. Second, SMEs' productivity improvement partially mediates this positive influence of the external technological information network diversity. Third, SMEs' technology development driven by CEO moderates the positive influence.
