태양열이용주택의 외국자료중 일리노이주 에너지 및 건축 위원회에서 주최한 현상설계모집에 당선된 당선작중 DAVID. C. YOUNG씨 안과 STEPHEN R. STOCK씨안을 소개한다. YOUNG씨 안은 수동시스템(Passive system)의 대표적인 예의 작품으로 소개할 수 있으며 STOCK씨안은 능동시스템(Active system)의 좋은 예로 소개하고 싶다. 여기서는 단독 예만을 소개하고 집합주택의 능동시스템을 제외하였다.

The Internet offers a challenging information seeking environment for users due to a great amount of information, heterogeneous objects, and diverse information quality. The purpose of this study was to identify the ways of information seeking, evaluating, and using in the Internet by looking at search behaviors of science and engineering scholars in Korean university. The research problems addressed in the study include the utility of web information, information searching strategies, the extent of search engines usage, and scholarly value of information in the Internet. The data were collected through individual interviews with 28 scholars recruited from science and engineering fields at the Myongji University. It was found that the scholars in this study less likely turn to search engines for finding research information than types of information while they use search engines primarily for searching personal information such as travel and hobbies. This is partly because the scholars believe that the information, especially research-related information, in the Internet lacks the value as scholarly information. They also tend to believe that foreign literature available in the Internet is more credible, professional, and recent than domestic literature. In conclusion, the implications for search engine developers, librarians, and researchers as users and producers in the Internet are discussed.

본지는 지난 1월호에서 '외국사와의 공동설계 - 그 문제점과 개선방향'이란 주제를 가지고 기획특집을 마련해 최근 급증하고 있는 외국설계사무소의 국내진출에 대한 건축계내의 다양한 의견을 들어보는 한편 실제 공동설계의 사례들을 모아 자료와 함께 게재한 바 있다. 이와 관련해 이번호에서는 1월호 특집에 이어 이를 좀 더 심층적으로 다루고자 건축계내 인사들을 초청해 지상좌담을 개최하였다. 국내 건축설계분야의 시장개방과 함께 큰 이슈로 떠오른 외국사와의 공동설계 문제는 선진 한국건축의 미래를 위해 넘어야 할 또 하나의 산으로써 향후 우리 건축의 진로 결정에 큰 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상된다. 따라서 본지는 이번 좌담을 통해 향후 더욱 증가할 것으로 예상되는 외국설계사무소와의 공동설계 작업에 대한 바람직한 방향을 모색하고 나아가 건축설계 시장개방에 따른 우리 건축계의 대응 방안을 정립하는 계기가 되길 기대한다.

법무부가 작년 발표한 자료에 의하면 국내 체류 외국인(단기 장기 불법체류 포함)이 100만명을 돌파했다고 발표했다. 이는 전년도 대비 15% 늘어난 수치로 국적별로는 중국이 44만 여명 44%로 가장 많았으며, 미국이 12%, 베트남 6%, 필리핀 5%, 태국 4% 등으로 조사되었다. 단일민족이라 자부하는 나라임에도 꽤 많은 이방인들이 섞여 살고 있는 것이다. 그러다 보니 자연히 서울에는 외국인들이 집단으로 거주하는 외국인 마을도 하난 둘 생겨나게 되었다. 다국적 거리인 이태원을 비롯해, 프랑스인들이 모여 사는 서초구 반포 4동 서래마을, 일본인들이 많은 이촌1동, 몽골 우즈베키스탄 카자흐스탄 등 중앙아시인들이 많은 광희동, 무슬림 거주지인 이태원동 등이 대표적 외국인 마을이다. 서울 한편에 자리 잡은 외국인 마을의 이국적 풍경을 찾아가 보자.

Though the demand of foreign laborer in the labor market of domestic construction is increasing, systems for managing and supervising them are insufficient. The object of this study is to provide practical basic data to establish a system or a policy for efficient use of foreign laborers in the domestic construction industry. With the subjects of domestic laborers, who served in the domestic construction field, the actual state of using foreign laborers and the problems were investigated, and the existing employment system for foreign laborers and the recognition on plan for improving policy were analyzed

1935년에 발행된 씰(널뛰기)의 도안자에 관한 외국의 모든 자료와 국내 초창기의 자료를 살펴보면 오류가 있음을 발견하게 된다.1990년 이후 국내에서는 고증을 거쳐 이를 바로 잡았으나 이에 대한 그 간의 전말(顚末)을 살펴보고자 한다.

With a rapidly increasing number of foreign patients in Korea, it is necessary to manage and enhance the quality of nursing care for foreign inpatients through the promotion of studies on practical nursing care experience. This study is a qualitative study conducted to understand and describe the care experiences of nurses responsible for non-English speaking foreign inpatients. There were 10 nurses with a clinical career of more than two years included in this study for analysis. Data were collected through in-depth individual interviews and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Five themes emerged from the analysis. 'Aware of cultural differences', 'establish trusting relationships through all my heart', 'additional nursing task', 'empathy for genuine nursing', 'sorriness and relieved'. The results of this study provided the understanding on the experiences of nurses, who do not speak English, but still responsible for providing care to foreign inpatients. Despite the language barrier, cultural differences, and work overload, nurses caring for foreign patients struggled with authenticity in nursing. On the other hand, as there was a lack of system resources, such as manuals and training materials in various languages other than English, institutions should put forth greater effort and resources to be prepared to care for foreign inpatients.

This study was conducted to analyze firms' death rate and impact factors on the death of Foreign-invested Companies in Korea which is between 20013 and 2017. Cox Proportional Hazard Model took to conduct on the death impact factors, such as 2 characteristics factors of the firm, and 4 financial characteristics variables, variables, and 4 profitability factors. As a result of the impact factors of Foreign-invested Companies' death the Labour(NE) variables of characteristics firm had negative effects. And the Debt(LB), Operating Profit (OP), and Sales Profit (SP) of the financial characteristics had a negative effect. Other factors did not produce significant results. As a result of an empirically comparative analysis of the mortality rate of foreign-invested companies by the Kaplan-Meier method, it was analyzed that fully owned companies and large enterprises had lower extinction risk and greater sustainable management potential than joint ventures or SMEs.
