The public interest and popularity of animation has already forecasted the value of animation as the leader of pop culture and cultural industry. The trend in animation changed from 2D to 3D animation, a new genre that appeared in the 1990s with the development of computer technology and innovative changes in media, and 3D animation secured its position in the 2000s. Researches on 3D animation are conducted in various ways. Integrating the area it shares with film and the area it shares with design, it is produced and consumed. This study focused on 'formativeness(design)', the basis of character design, and tried to find out how it is recognized by the audience, who actually watch and feel it. Also, it approached basic theory and tried to deduce logic that is easy to understand and can analyze design or formativeness which keeps changing. Lastly, this study regards the parts that viewers are not satisfied with as problems, and tries to find out a developmental direction. Among the animations for theaters that were big hits in 2015, this study focused on the characters of and . It reviewed errors and what was lacking in the previous studies, collected experts' opinions and made adjustment. Using the frame prepared through this process, it conducted a survey on study participants, the viewers, to see how it is perceived by them. Finally, it tried to find out the reasons why the audience felt that way through theoretical reviews and applications.

Continuous provocation of Japanese government to a Dokdo issue and Agreement on Fisheries between the Republic of Korea and Japan evokes a rage and resistance to whole nation in South Korea. In view of mass culture, Japanese Rightists cartoonists, Kobayashi Yoshinori and Yamano Syarin show distorted history in their works. Therefore the consideration of the birth of the Japanese right-wing cartoon is needed in historical, social and cultural viewpoints. First, the actual condition and historical background of Japanese Rightist will be showed. Second, a new Japanese history textbook which was written by right-wing organizations and Yasukuni-jinja will be discussed objectively. Finally, the representative of Japanese right-wing cartoons, and by Kobayashi Yoshinori and Yamano Syarin about historical distortion will be analyzed carefully. In this dissertation, through the factual analysis of cartoons, in opposition to a prejudice and distortion about Korean history of Japanese Rightist, cartoonists' precise and academic posture is proposed.

This study observes the fact that there exist restrictions due to the election-law-based regulations on web campaigns in Korea although web campaigns are widely spreading around the globe, and aims to analyze this aspect from the political context. As a result of the research, first, this study found out that Article 93, Clause 1 of the makes it possible to do permanent web campaigns on the strength of the Constitutional Court's decision of limited unconstitutionality, whereas Article 59 and 254 of the same Law(Election Campaign Offence) differ from the above Article 93, Clause 1; thus, it is necessary to revise the relevant law. Second, as for the request for taking measures for the depletion of ISP, etc., it is necessary to reform the provisions of the and together. This study aims to empirically investigate the effects of the individual-level characteristics on their timing decisions for their enlistments even though military services are their duties under a draft system. The individual characteristics considered include five psychological factors, such as attitude, uncertainty, information search level, future expectation, and perceived risk towards army, and other several demographic variables. Measurement scales for these psychological variables are developed and a duration model for individuals' enrollment timing decisions is also proposed. The proposed model is fitted to a survey data set collected from both those who have completed military service and those who have not. The estimation results show that two of five psychological variables, negative attitude and perceived risk, and several demographic variables, including education level, income level, residence area, and the number of family members serving the army, have meaningful impacts on the timing decisions for military service. Specifically, the enlistment timings are found to be more delayed as negative attitude towards army is stronger, perceived risk on army is higher, education level is higher, academic performance is better, income level is either low or high, residence area is either Seoul or big cities, and the proportion of family members enlisted is smaller. Several important managerial implications for alleviating problems resulting from enrollment postponements are also discussed.

There has been growing debate over the current crisis of Korean journalism especially since 1997. While identifying primary causes as 'lack of credibility and public accountability,' however, this paper claims that self-regulation initiated by enlightened and professionalized journalists is a plausible solution. This paper thus pays attention to U.S. graduate journalism schools which provide specialized program about business/economic/financial news. For this, in identifying commonalities of the programs in terms of education goals, geographical/academic resources and course works, this study wanted to elicit meaningful implications for media education. It was suggested in conclusion that not only would Seoul be an ideal place for combining theoretical and practical training, but such programs in New York and Columbia university might be creatively applied to Korean journalism school. Finally, the author hopes that this review will be a good starting point for envisioning graduate level of journalism school in Korea.

Korean society, suffered from a severe currency crisis in 1997, had scarcely missed another market meltdown in 2008. However, neither economic fundamentals nor has political stability little to do with the recent crises. This paper thus projects the possibility of 'self-fulfilling crisis' in which the media took a critical part in amplifying 'crisis discourses.' For the purpose of understanding of media's impact on such a crisis, at first, this paper chose 'September Crisis in 2008' as a case study. While collecting news articles about the crisis, then, total 118 news articles collected from mainstream newspapers such as DongA-ilbo and Money Today have been analyzed in terms of media frame and discourse strategies. Research results showed that not only has the crisis discourse been shifted by economic situations, but the media re-constructed economic realities in way of justifying their political ideology and loyal readership. Taking those findings into consideration, in final, the authors urged the media to improve their performance by embracing more responsible and professional manners.

Korean standard poetry with a fixed form are Rated Sijo. These Rated Sijos can be found in the 24 number of Gosijos. Then, why should Korean standard poetry be Rated Sijo? This is because only the Rated Sijo has a fixed form frame. Rated Sijo naturally tailored by a rigid framework is the best representation of Koreans' unique breath and temperament. Also, Rated Sijo is superior to general sijo or poem in terms of literary therapeutic utility for human body. If Haiku omits the end of narrative with the rated number of sounds and invites different imaginations to each reader, the Rated Sijo presents a certain frame to the direction of the human's rated signal by constructing the essence of the narrative with the rated number of sounds. Thus, the Rated Sijo suggests the way of human harmony and communication by inducing different imagination of readers cooperating in a certain direction. So, the famous poem of Korea, Rated Sijo, presents our future as a framework of literature that can contribute to the improvement of human communication and quality of life. Therefore, research to preserve and develop the value of the Rated Sijo should now be initiated and continued.

This work is for the preliminary study for the calibration of an $^{192}Ir$ brachytherapy source based on an absorbed dose to water standards. In order to calibrate brachytherapy sources based on absorbed dose to water standards using a clyndirical ionization chamber, the beam quality correction factor $k_{Q,Q_0}$ is needed. In this study $k_{Q,Q_0}s$ were determined by both Monte carlo simulation and semiexperimental methods because of the realistic difficulties to use primary standards to measure an absolute dose at a specified distance. The 5 different serial numbers of the PTW30013 chamber type were selected for this study. While chamber to chamber variations ran up to maximum 4.0% with the generic $k^{gen}_{Q,Q_0}$, the chamber to chamber variations were within a maximum deviation of 0.5% with the individual $k^{ind}_{Q,Q_0}$. The results show why and how important ionization chambers must be calibrated individually for the calibration of $^{192}Ir$ brachytherapy sources based on absorbed dose to water standards. We hope that in the near future users will be able to calibrate the brachytherapy sources in terms of an absorbed dose to water, the quantity of interest in the treatment, instead of an air kerma strength just as the calibration in the high energy photon and electron beam.

There are various views in the boundary of deflationism of truth in regarding the nature and role of truth. This paper surveys the issue on how the core thesis uniting the deflationism is characterized. First, I will examine some comments on what is the central thesis supported or rejected by the deflationists and inflationists, mainly discussing Armour-Garb and Beall's work, and will show on which aspects they are unsatisfying. From this, I will suggest these statements: first, the central cores of deflationism are conceptual fundamentality and explanatory exhausting. Second, the particularity thesis, understood in an alternative way, cannot be a central claim of deflationism. Third, another important claim from deflationists, the expression thesis, can be derived from the two main thesis above. But it is still not clear enough what the non-expressive explanatory role of truth, which is denied by the expression thesis. So I will check some possible clarifications on it and discuss why they should be rejected. And I will introduce Dummett's view on the role of truth condition in truth conditional explanation of meaning, and I will claim that if Dummett is right why the role must be a inflated one. Finally, I will suggest a further implication that the understanding on the both sides can be widened by connecting considerations on both views.
