The purpose of this study is to analyze the selection behavior decision model of telecommunications service under the telecommunication environments with joining the WiBro and 3GPP LTE-Advanced service at the sam time. The research results are as follows. First, mobile telecommunication service selection behavior is correlated with each other between WiBro and 3GPP LTE-Advanced service. Second, in the bivariate probit model estimates such as age, income, expenditure and income variable are important decision variables of WiBro and 3GPP LTE-Advanced service selection behavior. Gender and service using years, however, are not an important variables. The single and bivariate probit estimate results show the same estimation results. Finally, the two service selecting predictions by using the bivariate probit estimated results, 28.6% of WiBro and 25.3% of 3GPP LTE-Advanced were expected. Also, chance to join the two telecommunications services simultaneously is 19.3%. Therefore, WiBro selection probability is a little higher than 3GPP LTE-Advanced. The implications of these results, the future telecommunications service selection will be determined by economic factors such as income and expenditure. Thus, to enable the WiBro, policy means for reducing the excessive telecommunications expenditure are needed in the future.

This paper covers the service quality of packet-based voice service that is provided over a wireless broadband (WiBro) network. Using a measurement software that has been developed in the course of preparing a advanced service quality management scheme for the packet-based voice service over a wireless network[2][3], a huge scale of experiment is conducted to measure the real quality of the voice service. Based on our analysis of the measurement result, the service quality of the voice service is supposed to be quite good over WiBro networks. In addition, another experiment to investigate the effect of degradation of wireless transmission conditions on the service quality of the voice service shows the values of wireless service metris in which mean opinion score (MOS) starts to decrease.

Currently the telephone service using Internet grows and the recent introduction of a smart phone is expected to accelerate the trend. In particular, considering the domestic situation that the wireless broadband (WiBro) system deployed over the nation, the telephone service over WiBro can be a solution toward its fast expansion. Unlike telephone service over a conventional telephone network or mobile network, however, internet telephone cannot guarantee it service quality, which can be severer in a wireless environment such as a WiBro network. Therefore, a more strict and systematic management for controlling the quality of internet telephone service over WiBro in a more efficient way. As the first step to establish the management system, this paper proposes a scheme to manage the quality of internet telephone service over WiBro and introduces a software developed for the purpose. The developed software is installed on a user terminal and facilitates efficient service quality management by measuring the quality of internet telephone service over WiBro in terms of VoIP metric, network metric, and wireless metric.

In this paper, for supporting more variable services than typical DSRC, brand call service, truck and an official vehicle services, etc. using location information and mobile communication network could be adapted. emergence helping information providing, multimedia service that are wireless internet, movies and games, are increasingly needed for competible wireless car mobile terminal. Those needs would make a development a wireless telemetries system based on WiBro interface in ubiquitous vehicle environment. We analysis the proposed telematics mobile terminal using simulation which is concerned about fixed bandwidth and dynamic bandwidth.

현재 출시되고 있는 휴대 단말기는 기존의 이동통신망뿐만 아니라 와이파이(WiFi), 와이브로(WiBro) 망등 다양한 무선망을 지원하고 있다. 이러한 단말기를 통해 기존의 이동통신망 기반 서비스뿐만 아니라 무선 IP 네트워크 기반의 다양한 서비스들이 제공되고 있으며, 산업 현장에서 실시간 그룹 통신을 지원하기 위해 사용되는 무전기 및 TRS 등의 시스템을 대체할 수 있는 그룹 통신 기술의 대체 가능성에 대한 기대도 증가하고 있다. 그러나, 무전기 및 TRS의 그룹 통신 기능을 지원하고, 동시에 휴대폰의 개별 통신 기능도 지원할 수 있게 되기 위해서는 PTT 발언권 송신 지연 최소화, 개별 통신과 그룹 통신 서비스 통합 등 다양한 요소들에 대한 고려가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 무선 IP망인 와이브로망 기반의 개별 통신과 그룹 통신을 동시에 지원하는 단말 시스템 설계 및 구현 방법에 대해 제안하고자 한다.

Wibro is stand for Wireless Broadband Internet called as Portable Internet, Wireless Broadband Internet or Wireless High-Speed Internet. This provides hish-speed internet service anytime, anywhere, from anyone and device with seamless mobility and the band is located between Mobile phone and wireless LAN. Wibro service should support handover to maintain connection continuously in movement because the service is based on If system which is different from cellular system. Current Mitre Mobility system and general Mobile If system has got a problem of delayed speed and lost packets during handover. IETF protocol has been proposed for minimizing this problem and its standardization is under process, mainly focused on Mip4, Mip6 and Mipshop WG. This article studies and analyzes an effective method of minimizing handover delay to improve the problem of WiBro system and its revitalization & outlook.

This paper addresses quality of experience(QoE) and how to measure and evaluate QoE including its subjective aspects. Adopting the real measurements on the field, a various quality metric have been measured for VoIP(voice over IP) service provided through a wireless interface of WiBro(Wireless Broadband). By analyzing the measured values and correlation between the metrics, we attempt to find a method to evaluate QoE of the VoIP service in a objective way. As a result, it has been shown that QoE of the VoIP service through WiBro network has close relation to the packet-level end-to-end delay, and the delay has close relation to received signal strength indicator(RSSI).

최근 정보통신의 발전과 함께 실내에서도 고용량의 멀티미디어 데이터 전송 및 고품질의 안정적인 무선 데이터 서비스가 요구되고 있다. 본고에서는 가정이나 사무실 등 실내에서도 기존 옥외에서 받는 서비스를 연속적으로 보급하기 위한 기술로서 각광받고 있는 펨토셀(Femtocell) 기술에 대해서 알아본다. 또한 KT 중앙연구소에서 개발하고 있는 와이브로(WiBro) 펨토셀 기술 개발 현황과 기술적 이슈를 알아보고, 사용자 입장과 사업자 입장을 고려한 펨토셀의 사업화 적용방안에 대해서 알아본다.
