Volume Variation of Liquid Fuel by Seasonal, Regional Temperature Changes (계절적, 지역적 온도 변화에 따른 석유류 체적의 변화)

  • At gas stations, liquid fuels expand and contract in volume owing to temperature variations. In Korea, the ambient temperature varies between $-15^{\circ}C$ in winter and $35^{\circ}C$ in summer. The volume expansion coefficients of liquid fuels are about $0.1%/^{\circ}C$. To investigate this issue, we measured daily changes in fuel temperature and the delivered fuel temperature at gas stations. In addition, we scrutinized the daily, monthly, and annual changes in temperature over past 50 years in Korea. The results show that the temperature of the fuel in the storage tank was maintained at a stable value(summer or winter). Many factors, such as the surrounding conditions, fuel filling frequency, and gas station location, influence the delivered fuel temperature. The results of this study can be applied for establishing a national regulation and will contribute to fair transactions.

  • This paper proposes a new SoC (System-on-Chip)-based automatic compensation circuit (ACC) for 5GHz low noise amplifier (LNA). This circuit is extremely useful for today's RF IC (Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit) devices in a complete RF transceiver environment. The circuit contains RF BIST (Built-ln Self-Test) circuit, Capacitor Mirror Banks (CMB) and digital processing unit (DPU). The ACC automatically adjusts performance of 5GHz LNA by the processor in the SoC transceiver when the LNA goes out of the normal range of operation.

  • A compensation algorithm targeting for torque development from a SPMSM including a low speed operation is presented in this paper. As known, PM flux linkage in SPMSM is varied by temperature. Maximum Torque per Ampere (MTPA) uses the calculated PM flux linkage, and torque error occurs due to change of PM flux linkage. In the manuscript, estimated PM flux linkage is obtained using a stator flux observer. The torque error is corrected using the estimated PM flux linkage. The proposed algorithm is implemented and verified in simulation and experiment.

  • Instead of the incandescent lamps the LED lamps have been used on the traffic signal lamp with the advantages of small loss, no lens and long life. In this paper, we have compared three kinds of the LED controller structures and showed the LED array decision methods. We studied the temperature characteristics on LED and the temperature compensation network. The experimental results showed that the electrical characteristics of three kinds of the LED controller structures were different each other. We concluded that the temperature compensation is the important technique, the best compensation network has the ${\pm}10%$ variation for the luminous intensity.

  • 본 논문에서는 향후 기후환경 변화에 따른 전력변환장치의 특성을 분석하기 위해 많은 소자들 중에서 전력용 스위치의 출력 특성을 분석하였다. 전력변환장치는 일반적으로 폐루프 제어를 함으로써 출력 특성의 변화를 보상해 주어 온도변화에 대한 스위치 자체의 특성을 관찰하기가 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 타이머 555IC, DSP320F28335를 이용하여 고정된 듀티를 출력할 수 있도록 회로를 구성하고, 온도변화를 주어 스위치의 출력 특성을 보고자 한다.

  • The conventional analog-based firing circuit can be implemented by comparing a linearly decreasing periodic sawtooth waveform synchronized to the ac supply, with a control signal corresponding to the desired converter delay angle. This circuit requires a large number of passive components (resistance and capacitor) and careful adjustment of the synchronization circuity. In this paper a novel firing circuit is proposed for thyristor switch. The proposed circuit is implemented by using digital components(FPGA, A/D, and DSP etc.) on the basis of the analog cosine method.

  • 본 논문에서는 소형 독립형 태양광발전시스템의 충방전제어 시스템을 구성하였으며 충방전 특성을 고찰하였다. 태양전지의 정격전압이 축전지의 충전전압보다 높으므로 충방전제어는 Buck 컨버터로 설계하였으며, 정전압 충전방식을 이용하였다. 또한 온도보상회로를 통하여 축전지의 충전전압에 대한 온도 보정을 하였다. 충방전제어 시스템의 특성을 고찰하기 위하여 170W급 독립형 태양광발전시스템을 구성하였으며 출력특성을 고찰한 결과 충전 및 방전이 원활히 진행됨을 알 수 있었으나 충전시 정전압 충전방식을 사용하였고 태양전지 출력측에 MPPT제어가 이루어 지지 않은 탓으로 태양전지 이용율이 떨어지는 단점이 있다는 것을 확인하였다.

  • This paper proposes a novel fault diagnosis method of a electrolytic capacitor used for DC-link voltage smoothing in adjustable speed drives. The equivalent series resistance (ESR) of the electrolytic capacitor is directly estimated from DC-link voltage and load currents and the status of the electrolytic capacitor is determined from the estimated ESR. To compensate the variation of the ESR owing to temperature variation, diodes are located on the same PCB near the capacitor and the temperature of the capacitor is sensed indirectly from the voltage drop of diodes. Simulation and experimental studies show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • 체온은 가장 기본적인 진단 정보로써 여러 가지 생리 변화를 반영하는 지표이므로 거의 모든 질환에 대해 반드시 측정하도록 되어있다. 그러므로 체온을 정확하고 빠르게 측정하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 논문은 복합형 체온측정 시스템의 개발에 목적이 있다. 즉, 하나의 복합 시스템으로 고막과 이마에서의 체온을 측정하려고 한다. 개발 결과, 이 시스템은 IR 센서를 사용한 비접촉식 방식이며 빠른 응답시간과 $0.2^{\circ}C$의 정밀도를 가지고 있다. 또한 체온 측정을 위한 주변온도 보상을 고려하여 온도 측정의 정확도를 높였다.

  • This paper introduces the improvement of QoS to compensate the decreasing LED performance by temperature characteristic in the LED-ID communication system. LED does not only use as a lighting device, but also uses as a communication device. The conventional system is transmitted by RGB of LED following the mixture color ratio, which determined the color of lighting, and the BER performance of each RGB signals. However, when the LED used consistently, it has occurred the heat temperature. As a result, LED is degraded the performance by increased temperature each device. To solve this problem, we proposed the adaptive modulation and coding scheme by temperature of device to improve the performance of system and satisfied the QoS in the LED-ID system.
