Sputtering방식을 이용한 Indium Thin oxide박막의 넓이에 따른 X-ray 검출기 특성 연구

  • 의료용 방사선 장비는 초기의 아날로그 방식의 필름 및 카세트에서 진보되어 현재는 디지털 방식의 DR (Digital Radiography)이 널리 사용되며 그에 관한 연구개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. DR은 크게 간접방식과 직접방식의 두 분류로 나눌 수 있는데, 간접방식은 X선을 흡수하면 가시광선으로 전환하는 형광체(Scintillator)를 사용하여 X선을 가시광선으로 전환하고, 이를 Photodiode와 같은 광소자로 전기적 신호로 변환하여 방사선을 검출하는 방식을 말하며, 직접 방식은 X선을 흡수하면 전기적 신호를 발생 시키는 광도전체(Photoconductor)를 사용하여 광도전체 양단 전극에 고전압을 인가한 형태를 취하고 있는 가운데, X선이 조사되면 일차적으로 광도전체 내부에서 전자-전공쌍(Electron-hole pair)이 생성된다. 이들은 광도전체 양단의 인가되어 있는 전기장에 의해 전자는 +극으로, 전공은 -극으로 이동하여 아래에 위치한 Active matrix array을 통해 방사선을 검출하는 방식이다. 본 연구에서는 직접방식 X-ray 검출기에서 활용되는 a-Se을 ITO (Indium Thin oxide) glass 상단에 Thermal evaporation증착을 이용하여 두께 $50{\mu}m$, 33 넓이로 증착 시킨 다음, a-Se상단에 Sputtering증착을 이용하여 ITO를 11 cm, 22 cm, $2.7{\times}2.7cm$ 넓이로 증착시켜 상하부의 ITO를 Electrode로 이용하여 직접방식의 X-ray검출기 샘플을 제작하였다. 제작 과정 중 a-Se의 Thermal evaporation증착 시, 저진공 $310^{-3}_{Torr}$, 고진공 $2.210^{-5}_{Torr}$에서 보트의 가열 온도를 두 번의 스텝으로 나누어 증착 시켰다. 첫 번째 스텝 $250^{\circ}C$, 두 번째 스텝은 $260^{\circ}C$의 조건으로 증착하여 보트 내의 a-Se을 남기지 않고 전량을 소모할 수 있었으며, 스텝간의 온도차를 $10^{\circ}C$로 제어하여 균일한 박막을 형성 할 수 있었다. Sputtering증착 시, 저진공 $2.510^{-3}$, 고진공 $310^{-5}$에서 Ar, $O_2$를 사용하여 100 Sec간 플라즈마를 생성시켜 ITO를 증착하였다. 제작된 방사선 각각의 검출기 샘플 양단의 ITO에 500V의 전압을 인가하고, 진단 방사선 범위의 70 kVp, 100 mA, 0.03 sec 조건으로 X-ray를 조사시켜 ITO넓이에 따른 민감도(Sensitivity)와 암전류(Dark current)를 측정하였다. 측정결과 민감도(Sensitivity)는 X-ray샘플의 두께에 따른 $1V/{\mu}m$ 기준 시, 증착된 ITO의 넓이가 11 cm부터 22 cm, $2.7{\times}2.7cm$까지 각각 $7.610nC/cm^2$, $8.169nC/cm^2$, $6.769nC/cm^2$로 22 cm 넓이의 샘플이 가장 높은 민감도를 나타내었으나, 암전류(Dark current)는 $1.68nA/cm^2$, $3.132nA/cm^2$, $5.117nA/cm^2$로 11 cm 넓이의 샘플이 가장 낮은 값을 나타내었다. 이러한 데이터를 SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio)로 합산 하였을 시 104.359 ($1{\times}1$), 60.376($2{\times}2$), 30.621 ($2.7{\times}2.7$)로 11 cm 샘플이 신호 대 별 가장 우수한 효율을 나타냄을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 ITO박막의 면적이 클수록 민감도는 우수하나 그에 따른 암전류의 증가로 효율이 떨어짐을 검증 할 수 있었으며, 이는 ITO면적이 넓어짐에 따른 저항의 증가로 암전류에 영향을 끼침을 할 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 a-Se의 ITO 박막 면적에 따른 전기적 특성을 검증할 수 있었다.

Predictive Modeling of Bacillus cereus on Carrot Treated with Slightly Acidic Electrolyzed Water and Ultrasonication at Various Storage Temperatures (미산성 차아염소산수와 초음파를 처리한 당근에서 저장 중 Bacillus cereus 균의 생육 예측모델)

  • This study was conducted to develop predictive models for the growth of Bacillus cereus on carrot treated with slightly acidic electrolyzed water (SAcEW) and ultrasonication (US) at different storage temperatures. In addition, the inactivation of B. cereus by US with SAcEW was investigated. US treatment with a frequency of 40 kHz and an acoustic energy density of 400 W/L at $40^{\circ}C$ for 3 min showed the maximum reduction of 2.87 log CFU/g B. cereus on carrot, while combined treatment of US (400 W/L, $40^{\circ}C$, 3 min) with SAcEW reached to 3.1 log CFU/g reduction. Growth data of B. cereus on carrot treated with SAcEW and US at different temperatures (4, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and $35^{\circ}C$) were collected and used to develop predictive models. The modified Gompertz model was found to be more suitable to describe the growth data. The specific growth rate (SGR) and lag time (LT) obtained from the modified Gompertz model were employed to establish the secondary models. The newly developed secondary models were validated using the root mean square error, bias factor, and accuracy factor. All results of these factors were in the acceptable range of values. After compared SGR and LT of B. cereus on carrot, the results showed that the growth of B. cereus on carrot treated with SAcEW and US was slower than that of single treatment. This result indicates that shelf life of carrot treated with SAcEW and US could be extended. The developed predictive models might also be used to assess the microbiological risk of B. cereus infection in carrot treated with SAcEW and US.

Effects on Ginseng Growth and Ginsenoside Content in ICT-based Process Cultivation and Conventional Cultivation (ICT 기반의 공정재배와 관행재배에 있어서 인삼 생장 및 진세 노사이드 함량에 미치는 영향)

  • This study conducted an experiment with EC 1.0ms/cm ratio and excellent soil conditions for germination in ICT-based ginseng process cultivation. The first growth survey was conducted before transplantation of ginseng 1-year roots grown by seeding ginseng in the process cultivation, conventional cultivation and a second growth comparison survey was conducted after 3 months of growth. In the results, it was confirmed that ginseng grown in the process cultivation grew more than in the field. As a result of comparing the contents of 11 ginsenosides of 1-year and 2-year-old ginsenosides in the process cultivation and conventional cultivation ginseng, it was confirmed that the content of the process cultivation ginseng was higher than that of practice cultivation ginseng. In conclusion, conventional cultivation ginseng grows due to various factors under the natural cultivation environment, but process cultivation can secure the growth stability of ginseng by allowing stable soil and environmental control, so continuous research is needed in the future.

신문지 재활용 공정의 일차 점착성 이물질 실시간 정략을 위한 새로운 방법

  • 본 연구는 신문지 고지의 점착성 이물질 중 Primary Stickies의 정 량에 관한 것으로 서, 실제 신문지료를 화상분석하여 실시간으로 매크로크기의 점착성 이물질올 측정할 때 효율적인 측정조건을 탐색하여 제지공정의 l 현장에서 일차 점착성 이물질을 정량 하는 새로운 측정기의 측정 기준을 제시하고자 하였다. 이물질이란 제지공정에 의도적으로 첨가되지 않은 불질의 총칭으로 dirt 및 각종 점착 성 이물질 즉, stickies를 들 수 있다. 이 가운데 스틱키{stickies}란 부드럽고, 점착성을 나타내는 이물질의 총청으로 주로 점착제와 확스에 의해 형성된다. 스틱키는 고지 재활 용의 효율성을 가장 크게 저해하는 이물질로 와이어, 펠트 및 기타 공정요소에 부착되 어 초지 시 지절을 발생시킴으로써 생산성을 저하시킬 뿐 아니라, 외관상 상품가치와 인쇄적성올 저하시키며, 최종 제품의 강도적 물성 및 가공적성에도 영향을 미친다. 특 히 국내에서는 원가절감을 위해 고지의 재활용율올 증대시키고자 전력을 다하고 있으 며 환경보호 및 용수 절감올 위해 공정수를 절감하고 궁극적으로는 무방류화를 목표로 하고 있어 토지 계 내의 점착성 이물질의 투입과 농축 현상이 심각하게 진행되고 있는 실정이다. 초지공정에서 발생하는 스틱키 즉 점착성 이물질은 미세한 스크린의 슬롯 폭인 0.15 - -0.3mm 이상의 크기를 가져 스크린에 의해 분리될 수 있는 매크로 스틱키{macro s stickies}와 이보다 작은 마이크로 스틱키(micro stickies)로 크게 분류된다. 즉 매크로 스틱키는 스크린에 의해 분리될 수 있으나 마이크로 스틱키는 스크린을 통하여 기계적 으로 분리할 수 없다는 문제점을 지니고 있다. 스틱키는 또 거동 특성에 따라 primary s stickies와 secondary stickies로 구분할 수 있다. primary stickies는 펄핑과정에서 점착 성 이물질이 파괴됨에 따라 나타나지만, secondary stickies는 지류 제지공정의 백수에 용해 되거나 분산된 상태인 1때1 이하의 콜로이 드로 폰재 한다. 이 러 한 secondary stickies 는 pH, 온도의 변화나 각종의 첨가제에 의해 웅집이나 홉착 등을 발생할 수 있는 잠재 적 문제점 등을 가지고 있다. 예를 들어 양성 고분자의 첨가는 펄프 섬유를 웅집시킬 뿐 아니라 지료에 함유된 secondary dtickies의 안정성을 저하시켜 응집, 침적시키는 작용을 한다. 따라서 분리가 어렵고, 제지공정에서 문제를 일으키기 쉬운 2차 스퇴키를 적절히 제어하기 위한 기술 개발은 용수절감 뿐 아니라, 초지공정의 침적물 절감을 통 한 공정개선에도 매우 중요한 요소기술이라 할 수 있다.

Effect of Solar Salt on the Fermentation Characteristics of Kimchi (천일염이 김치발표에 미치는 영향)

  • To investigate the effect of a solar salt on Kimchi fermentation, Chinese cabbages were brined with four-years aged solar salt (FS), one-year aged solar salt (OS), and purified salt (PS). The Kimchi was fermented at $7^{\circ}C$ for 33 days. The changes in pH and acidity of the Kimch brined with PS was slower than those of Kimchis brined with FS and OS. In the Kimchis with FS and OS, lactic acid bacteria (LAB) counts increased from 7.10~7.22 log CFU/mL at 0 day to 9.26~9.42 log CFU/mL at 12 days, after which counts slightly decreased to 8.04~8.75 log CFU/mL by 33 days of fermentation. The LAB counts of the kimchi with PS slowly increased from 7.24 log CFU/mL at 0 day to 8.99 log CFU/mL at 27 days, after then which counts sharply decreased to 7.92 log CFU/mL by 33 days of fermentation. Yellowness (b) color values of the kimchi with PS (59.10) was higher than the Kimchi with FS (53.68) and the Kimchi with OS (53.77). Hardness of the Kimchi with FS was more firm than the other Kimchis after 33 days storage. Sensory evaluation of the Kimchi with FS showed higher score than that of the other Kimchis.

Effect of UV-LED Irradiation on Respiration and Ethylene Production of Cherry Tomatoes (방울토마토의 호흡 및 에틸렌 발생에 미치는 자외선 LED의 효과)

  • UV light irradiation is known to give beneficial effects on fresh produce preservation. A container system equipped with UV-LED was fabricated for storing cherry tomatoes under computer-controlled conditions of intermittent on-off cycles (1 hour on/1 hour off). Wavelength (365 and 405 nm) and physical location of the LED (2 and 5 cm above fruit) were studied as variables affecting the respiration, ethylene production and quality preservation of the fruits at 10 and $20^{\circ}C$. 365 nm wavelength gave much higher radiation intensity than 405 nm, and intensity on surface decreased in inverse proportion to square of distance from LED. When compared to non-irradiated control, UV-LED irradiation decreased the respiration by 5-10% at $10^{\circ}C$ while there was no obvious effect at $20^{\circ}C$. Ethylene production was reduced when the fruits were placed at 5 cm distance, while there was no significant difference from control at 2 cm location. The reduction of ethylene production at 5 cm was more pronounced at $20^{\circ}C$. UV-LED irradiation was shown to have delayed increase or lower concentration in carotenoids compared to control treatment. Any negative effect of UV-LED irradiation on ascorbic acid content and firmness was not observed.

Analysis on the Uniformity of Temperature and Humidity According to Environment Control in Tomato Greenhouses (토마토 재배 온실의 환경조절에 따른 온습도 균일도 분석)

  • A survey on the actual state of heating, cooling, ventilation, and air-flow and experimental measurement of temperature and humidity distribution in tomato greenhouse were performed to provide fundamental data required in the development of air-flow control technology. In single-span plastic houses, which account for most of 136 tomato greenhouses surveyed, roof windows, ventilation and air-flow fans were installed in a low rate, and installation specs of those facilities showed a very large deviation. There were no farms installed greenhouse cooling facilities. In the hot air heating system, which account for most of heating type, installation specs of hot air duct showed also a large deviation. The exhaust air temperature and wind speed in hot air duct also were measured to have a big difference depending on the distance from the heater. We are using the maximum difference as indicator to determine whether temperature distribution is uniform. However if the temperature slope is not identical in greenhouse, it can't represent the uniformity. We analyzed relation between the maximum difference and the uniformity of temperature and humidity distribution. The uniformity was calculated using the mean and standard deviation of data from 12 measuring points. They showed high correlation but were represented differently by linear in the daytime and quadratic in the nighttime. It could see that the uniformity of temperature and humidity distribution was much different according to greenhouse type and heating method. The installation guidelines for ventilation and air-flow fan, the spread of greenhouse cooling technology for year-round stable production, and improvement of air duct and heating system, etc. are needed.

An Object Recognition Performance Improvement of Automatic Door using Ultrasonic Sensor (초음파 센서를 이용한 자동문의 물체인식 성능개선)

  • In the field of automatic door, the infrared rays and microwave sensor are much used as the important components in charge of the motor's operation control of open and close through the incoming signal of object recognition. In case of existing system that the sensor of the infrared rays and microwave are applied to the automatic door, there are many malfunctions by the infrared rays and visible rays of the sun. Because the automatic doors are usually installed outside of building in state of exposure. The environmental change by temperature difference occurs the noise of object recognition detection signal. With this problem, the hardware fault that the detection sensor is unable to follow the object moving rapidly within detection area makes the sensing blind spot. This fault should be improved as soon as possible. Because It influences safety of passengers who use the automatic doors. This paper conducted an experiment to improve the detection area by installing extra ultrasonic sensor besides existing detection sensor. So, this paper realize the computing circuit and detection algorithm which can correctly and rapidly process the access route of objects moving fast and the location area of fixed obstacles by applying detection and advantages of ultrasonic signal to the automatic doors. With this, It is proved that the automatic door applying ultrasonic sensor is improved detection area of blind spot sensing through field test and improvement plan is proposed.

Quantitative Analysis of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens GR4-5 in Soil (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens GR4-5 균주의 토양 내 정량 분석)

  • Bacillus amyloliquefaciens GR4-5 was isolated from the rhizosphere soil of Korean ginseng and displayed broad-spectrum suppression of ginseng root rot pathogens. The survivability of B. amyloliquefaciens GR4-5 in soil was investigated under three different conditions; indoor, outdoor - of which soil was put in 14 mL tube after treatment - and field environments. Soil samples were collected over a four-week period from three experimental designs, and assessed for 16S rRNA gene copy number by quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR). In outdoor condition, the 16S rRNA gene copy number of Bacillus spp. was 8.35 log copies g $soil^{-1}$ immediately after the GR4-5 treatment. Two weeks later, the 16S rRNA gene copy number of Bacillus spp. (6.70 log copies g $soil^{-1}$) was similar to that of the control (6.38 log copies g $soil^{-1}$). In indoor condition, the 16S rRNA gene copy number of Bacillus spp. maintained in a certain level for a longer period than those in outdoor and field. The 16S rRNA gene copy number of Bacillus spp. in field experiment was reduced faster than that of outdoor condition. Our results show that B. amyloliquefaciens GR4-5 can survive in bulk soil for 1 week, indicating its potential use as a biocontrol agent following 7 day application intervals. This study presents that outdoor microcosm system design could be a useful method to assess easily the survivability of beneficial microorganisms.

Changes of Nutritional Compounds and Texture Characteristics of Peaches (Prunus persica L. Batsch) during Post-irradiation Storage at Different Temperature (감마선 조사와 저장온도에 따른 복숭아의 품질특성 변화)

  • The gamma irradiation process was performed to prolong a shelf-life of peaches and the effects of a gamma irradiation on the nutritional, physiochemical and sensory characteristics of peaches were evaluated during a post-irradiation storage at $4^{\circ}C$ and $25^{\circ}C$. Nutritional, physiochemical and sensory characteristics of peaches were stable at 1 kGy of an irradiation, a recommended dose for fruits and vegetables by CODEX, and the viable cell counts of contaminated microorganisms were reduced by 2 decimal reduction, at this dose. After a 1-week storage at ambient condition, the microbiological quality of the 1 kGy irradiated peach was stable, while all the non-irradiated peaches were deteriorated Furthermore, cold storage enhanced the shelf-life of the gamma irradiated peach and the nutritional and physiochemical characteristics of the peaches were comparatively stable up to 6 weeks. Right after gamma irradiation, the sensory evaluation results were not different in any of the samples, and the sensory quality of the irradiated peaches was adequate for a 4-week storage at $4^{\circ}C$. Our results suggested that gamma irradiation at 1 kGy can be used to enhance the shelf-life of peach without a significant loss in the quality attributes, especially upon cold storage after radiation treatment.
