창간 13주년 기념 좌담회

  • 월간『디지털콘텐츠』는 지난달 3일‘ 출판의 디지털화 그 의미와 방향’을 주제로 창간 13주년 기념 좌담회를 개최했다. 본지 이창한 편집장의 사회로 진행된 이번 좌담회는 권택민 KIPA 디지털콘텐츠사업단장, 김학원 휴머니스트대표, 오재혁 북토피아대표, 정청래 열린우리당국회의원, 최재현NHN 국내총괄이사(가나다순) 등이 참석, 전자출판산업전반에 대해 열띤 토론을 벌였다. 참석자들은 전자출판시장의 활성화에 따른 저작권문제,이용자들의 인식확산, 나아갈 방향 등 다양한 주제로 폭넓은 의견을 교환했다.

Hopfield 신령회로망의 VLSI 구현에 관한 연구 (VLSI Implementation of Hopfield Neural Network)

  • This paper presents an analog circuit implementation and experimental resuls of the Hopfield type neural network. The proposed architecture enables the reconfiguration betwewn feedback and feedforward networks and employs new circuit designs for the weight supply and storage, analog multilier, nd current-voltage converter, in order to achieve area efficiency as well as function al versatility. The layout design of the eight-neuron neural network is tested as an associative memory to verify its applicability to real world.

자유 발화 자료에서 나타나는 한국어 억양 곡선의 기울기 특성에 대한 연구 (A Study of Intonation Curve Slopes in Korean Spontaneous Speech)

  • This study aims to discuss pitch slope on Korean intonation curve in spontaneous speech data. For this study, 656 utterances were taken in the spoken corpus and used 'close-copy stylization'. And then the physical feature of pitch movements was extracted for the study. The pitch slope was calculated on the basis of time and pitch range in each utterance. As a result, the average and distribution of pitch slope is similar between men and women in the range of the pitch movement except for essential differences. The slope of pitch movement confirms that there are no differences between men and women. Pitch slope on a scale of -10 to 10 is 90% of the entire pitch slope; pitch slope that moves by time scale without curve is 33.1%; pitch slope that moves half of the pitch bandwidth during the average time for pitch movement is 23.4%; pitch slope that moves 100% of pitch bandwidth during a half of the average time for pitch movement is 10.4%. Those results imply the possibility of standardization methods of Korean intonation by pitch slope.

  • The strengthening of concrete structures in situ with externally bonded carbon fiber is increasingly being used for repair and rehabilitation of existing structures. Carbon fiber is attractive for this application due to its good tensile strength, resistances to corrosion, and low weight. Generally bond strength and behavior between concrete and carbon fiber mesh(CFM) is very important, because of the enhanced bond of CFM. Therefore if bond strength is sufficient, it will be expected to enhance reinforcement effect. If insufficient, reinforcement effect can not be enhanced because of bond failure between concrete and CFM. This study is to investigate the bond strength of CFM to the concrete using direct pull-out test and tensile-shear test. The key variables of the experiment are the location of clip, number of clips and thickness of cover mortar. The general results indicate that the clip anchorage technique for increasing bond strength with CFM appear to be effective to maintain the good post-failure behavior.

  • This paper describes novel bootstrapped CMOS differential logic family operating at near-Vth supply voltage. The proposed logic family provides improved switching speed by utilizing voltage bootstrapping for the supply voltage approaching device thresholds. The circuit is configured as differential structure having single bootstrapping capacitor, minimizing area overhead and providing complete logic composition capability. A 64-bit adder designed using the proposed technique in a 0.18um CMOS process provides up to 79% improvement in terms of power-delay product as compared to the conventional adder designed with DCVS.

  • The aim of this paper is to exam why the nouns that used /kh, ph, ts, th/, as the final phoneme changed. Assuming that these change related to the aspects of the word usage, we collected the word frequency and the phonetic form of words. The results are as follows : ① The realization of standard phonetic form is related to the frequency of case marker that could not be omitted, combined with the word. ② The changing into /s/ in a coronal consonant is related to the case marker [i].

  • 본 프로젝트는 색상 산업 분야에서 효율적인 업무 생산을 할 수 있도록 하는 산업용 로봇을 제시한다. 모바일 어플리케이션 개발을 통해 사용자 맞춤 UI를 제공하여 색상 조합 및 제안을 수행하도록 하며, 객체 인식 기술을 적용하여 자동화 시스템을 거쳐 색상 출력을 수행할 수 있는 색 조합 시뮬레이터 자율 주행 로봇이다.

  • This paper presents a new method to implement Hebbian learning method on artificial neural network. In hebbian learning algorithm, complexity in terms of multiplications is high. To save the chip area, we consider a new learning circuit. By calculating similarity, or correlation between $X_i$ and $O_i$, large portion of circuits commonly used in conventional neural networks is not necessary for this new hebbian learning circuit named COR. The output signals of COR is applied to weight storage capacitors for direct control the voltages of the capacitors. The weighted sum, ${\Sigma}W_{ij}O_j$, is realized by multipliers, whose output currents are summed up in one line which goes to learning circuit or output circuit. The drain current of the multiplier can produce positive or negative synaptic weights. The pass transistor selects eight learning mode or recall mode. The layout of an learnable six-neuron fully connected Hopfield neural network is designed, and is simulated using PSPICE. The network memorizes, and retrieves the patterns correctly under the existence of minor noises.

  • 이 연구는 담화 표지 '아, 어, 음'의 출현 빈도와 발화 시간, 발화 위치 등을 계량적으로 관찰하여 성별과 연령별 차이를 보이고자 하였다. 이를 위해 대용량 음성 코퍼스인 서울코퍼스를 이용하였고, Praat(ver.6.1.31)으로 음길이와 실제 발화를 확인하고, Emeditor(ver.17.6.1)로 코퍼스를 분석하고, R(ver.3.4.4)로 통계 분석하여 결과를 제시하였다. 성별에 따라 보면 여성의 경우 남성보다 단독 발화에서 '음'이 고빈도로 사용되었고, 발화 종결 위치에서의 평균 음길이 또한 길었다. 연령에 따라 보면 발화 시작 위치에서 10대에서는 '아'가, 40대는 '어'가 고빈도로 출현하는 것이 특징적이었다.
