Implementation of the Probe System with Respect to the Engine Oil States Inspection (엔진오일 상태점검을 위한 프로브 시스템 구현)

  • In this paper, in order to measure the degree of degradation using the reflection coefficient of the probe, the measuring circuit is designed. we put pulse signal into the probe and measure the reflected signal in the circuit. As the condition of engine oil degradation, we can see that the reflected signal was increased and as the engine oil temperature increases, a phenomenon shows that the degradated dielectric constant is decreased. Finally, the theoretical values and measured values of the reflection coefficients of the probe are analyzed.

  • Depending on the status of the engine oil, the dielectric constant is changed. Dielectric constant of oil is related to the characteristic impedance of the probe and the characteristic impedance of the probe determines the reflected signal. In this paper, we derive an equivalent circuit of the probe and using the dielectric constant obtained by measuring the capacitance, the theoretical reflection coefficient of the probe was calculated. In the results, if the engine oil is deteriorated, we can see that the reflection coefficient is increased.

  • The engine oil life of internal combustion engine is shorted by the thermal effect and that causes air pollution. In order to measure the status of engine oil accurately, the exchange of new oil extends the life of combustion engine and reduces environmental pollution. Capacitance probes, such as engine oil and fluids can be used to measure the dielectric constant. In this paper, the degradation of engine oil varies depending on the degree of dielectric properties was analyzed. Depending on the state of the oil, the variant capacitance of the probe was measured by LCR Meter, respectively, and then the permittivity of oil was calculated. In addition, according to the size of the probe by measuring the change in capacitance measurement, accuracy of dielectric constant are presented. According to oil contaminated with the more increase in dielectric constant, we can decide that contaminated oil is available.

  • In this work, the engine oil resistant evaluation and breakdown analysis of room temperature vulcanizing silicone adhesives were performed through the surface properties, thermal stabilities, adhesive strength, and morphology measurements. As a result, the permeation of engine oil into adhesive specimens was carried out from surface to center in the specimens. And the oil content in the adhesive specimens was increased and the Si-O-Si bond of the adhesives was decomposed with increasing the aging time. The TGA results indicated that the thermal degradation was mainly occurred at under and surfaces of the specimens. The tensile strength, elongation, and adhesive strength of the adhesives were significantly decreased after the engine oil resistant tests, which could be attributed to the initial lose of adhesive properties resulting from the engine oil absorption and thermal aging. And the failure mode of the adhesive specimens was changed from cohesive failure to interfacial failure.

  • 폴리머 애자용 Shed 재료의 전기방전에 대한 열화내성과 표면발수성은 제품의 장기성능에 있어서 가장 중요한 물성들이다. 그러나 무기보강재의 첨가량이 많아 무결점 성형성을 만족하도록 하기 위해서 Process Oil의 사용이 불가피한데 사용하는 오일의 종류와 양에 따라 옥외절연물의 장기성능에 영향을 주는 표면발수성이나 방전내성은 크게 차이가 나는 것으로 밝혀져 있다. 본 논문에서는 화학적 구조와 점도가 다른 몇 종의 hydroxy silicone oil(HS 오일)을 혼련 (kneading) 하는 과정에 첨가하여 이들 오일의 종류와 양이 고무의 기본적인 물성, 발수성, 방전열화내성, 내트래킹성 등에 어떻게 영향을 주는가를 조사하였다. 코로나 처리시간에 따라서 접촉각의 저하정도와 코로나 처리 후 경과시간에 따른 발수성의 회복특성을 조사하였다. HS 오일의 접도에 따라 초기발수성, 발수성 회복특성의 차이가 많았다. 점도가 낮을수록 초기 발수성 저하는 크며 회복속도는 빠른 반면 점도가 높을수록 초기 발수성 저하는 작은 반변은 발수성 회복속도는 다소 느리게 나타났다 내트래킹성 결과는 점도가 높을수록 우수한 특성을 보였다. 결론적으로 폴리머 애자용 실리콘고무의 컴파운딩에서 실리콘오일의 선택은 성형작업성, 발수성회복특성, 열화내성 외에 가격 등을 고려하여 최적화가 필요하다.

A Study on Deterioration Measurement Sensor in the Automobile Engine Oil (자동차용 엔진오일의 열화도 측정 센서연구)

  • This work is aimed to measure the deterioration in oil sensor. For the study, the circuit of a coil-type oil sensor packaged was developed and applied to the automobile engine for monitoring the deterioration of engine oil in driving conditions. From the principle which the deterioration of automobile engine oil can be expressed to the dielectric constant, the capacitance bridge circuit and the integrator circuit were designed. As results, the range of operating temperature of engine oil was experimentally recommended within $55^{\circ}C$ for the stability of a sensor designed. It was also concluded that the characteristics of output voltage converted from the dielectric constant were linearly distributed and predicted the optimized time for the exchange of engine oil.

  • This paper is aimed to develop the circuit of a coil-type oil sensor packaged to the automotive engine oil monitoring the deterioration in the driving condition and let a driver notify the optimized time for the exchange of engine oil.   • 지구온난화 현상과 화석연료의 고갈에 대한 두려움 때문에 재생에너지에 대한 관심이 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 대체에너지, 합성가스, 화학 원료, 오일 등으로 전환할 수 있는 바이오매스 활용에 대한 연구도 활발히 진행되고 있다. 바이오매스의 열화학적 전환 공정에는 열분해, 연소, 가스화 등이 이용되고 있다. 특히 열분해는 syringol, levoglucosan, guaiacol등의 고부가가치 물질들을 생산하기에 적합한 기술로 인정받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내에서 쉽게 구할 수 있는 톱밥, 폐목재 등의 바이오매스의 열화학적 전환 특성을 분석하였다. 사용된 바이오매스의 열분해 특성은 열중량 분석기 및 열천칭 반응기를 통해 분석하였으며 이를 통해 유동충 반응기(지름 0.2m, 높이 2m)를 설계 및 제작하였다. 반응온도 및 산소 농도가 증가할수록 levoglucosan 등의 고부가가치 물질들의 수율이 낮아지며 페놀류가 급격히 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 회재 성분이 높은 왕겨의 바이오오일 수율은 톱밥보다 $30\%$이상 낮게 나타났다

  • A coil-type capacitive sensor on which the deterioration of the car engine oil can be in situ measured, has been developed. The sensor was designed to get over 10 pF at the limited space on the drain hole of the oil pan. The design factors for stable capacitance measurement such as coil diameter and winding condition, materials and configuration of the coil former, and shielding method, etc., were known by both computer simulation and experimental investigations. The dielectric properties measured by several sensors for an used sample oil were consisted within 0.25%. The sensor installed on the car having severe vibration, temperature and humidity fluctuation, even electromagnetic noise, has shown very distinguishable results.

  • The study of coking technology to upgrade oil sand bitumen which is considered as alternative fuel was performed by using thermogravity analyzer and delayed coking reactor(600ml). To analyzed and compared coking characteristics of oil sand bitumen, the reactivities of oil sand bitumen were measured in the TGA. At the temperature conditions of $400{\sim}550^{\circ}C$ and the temperature rising velocity of $50^{\circ}C/min$. the termination time of coking reaction and conversion efficiencies increased with an increase of bed temperature. However the increase rate decreased over $450^{\circ}C$. So the coking reaction with oil sand bitumen might be over $450^{\circ}C$. Also the termination time decreased with increasing the temperature rising velocity. But the content of coke increased with increasing temperature rising velocity. At the experiments in the delayed coker, the temperature condition at maximum oil yield was $475^{\circ}C$ and the fuel properties of oil from coking reaction was almost equal with conventional diesel. It was verified that the coking process might be useful process to upgrade the oil sand bitumem by using API and SIMDAS.
