According to the correlation analysis results, the higher the dependence on the thumbnails, the higher the satisfaction with the thumbnail curation. Both Perceived Informational Usefulness(PIU) and Perceived Ease of Use(PEOU) had correlations with the degree of satisfaction with the thumbnail curation. In particular, the factors of relevance in PEOU had the greatest impact on the degree of satisfaction and this result proved that the suitability factors of the thumbnails had significant correlations with the degree of satisfaction. The degree of satisfaction with the thumbnail curation also positively correlated with Netflix's overall degree of satisfaction and behavioral intention to use the Netflix. This study demonstrated the suitability of the TAM as a UX evaluation tool for the Netflix thumbnail curation.

  • In recent years, new media art is developing to play its roles as a means of remediation to overturn, reuse, and alter the old technologies rather than technology-dependent art to accept new technologies and use them as artistic tools. Here, the concept of new should mean looking at the old technologies in an indirect way and finding new meanings in them rather than presenting new technologies. The starting point of this study was the concept of spatialization in which the concept of new media art would externalize games from inside to outside the screen in gamification-applied spaces. Participatory new media art adds a platform for viewer's participation and utilizes the entire space of the exhibition hall instead of allowing for simple viewing at the exhibition hall. The study focused on the changes and phenomena in the process of games belonging to the artistic space through the interactivity of gamification. Here, the premise was that gamification meant the "spatialization of games." The study examined several cases of games being altered in the spatialization process to figure out interactivity for viewers and developmental directions for interface design at a gallery.

  • This study investigated the perceptions and the characteristics of elementary teachers on teaching science-arts integrated activities. Twelve elementary teachers who have taught in the third to sixth grade science lessons participated in this study. Data was collected by individual interviews lasting 60 to 90 minutes. Interview questions were composed of three aspects: 1) how elementary teachers perceive science-arts integrated activities, 2) in what ways elementary teachers address science-arts integrated activities, and 3) what difficulties elementary teachers experienced in addressing science-arts integrated activities. The results showed that, first, elementary teachers agreed that science-arts integrated activities have educational value in science learning. Second, most teachers focused on improving understanding of science knowledge through teaching science-arts integrated activities, while several teachers put emphasis on having experience of arts as well as understanding of science knowledge. And third, teachers experienced difficulties due to insufficient teaching materials and time to prepare for teaching science-arts integrated activities. Based on the results, we suggested educational implications for utilization of science-arts integrated activities in elementary education.
