Effects of Eye Movement Training on Cognitive Function in Elderly Women: a pilot study (노인여성에게 적용한 안구움직임 훈련이 인지기능에 미치는 영향: 예비연구)

  • 본 연구는 여성노인을 대상으로 안구운동 훈련을 적용하여 인지기능에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 대상자는 65세 이상 여성 노인 8명을 선정하였고 안구운동은 급속안구운동을 4주 동안 적용하여 사건관련 전위 중 P300을 활용하여 그 변화를 측정하였다. 그 결과 p300의 전위값은 유의하게 상승하였고, 잠복기는 유의하게 짧아졌다. 결론적으로 여성노인에게 적용한 급성안구운동은 뇌의 긍정적 변화를 나타내 인지기능 향상에 영향을 준다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Development of Programming-based TPACK Education Program through Design-based Research

  • As the importance of technology in education has increased, TPACK research has been actively conducted to promote the use of technology in class. However, due to the functional limitations of technology, the pre-service teacher had difficulty in using technology in class. Therefore, in this study, we have been studying the introduction of the programming language as a technology tool of TPACK. Using design-based research as a research method, we repeatedly developed an educational program, applied to pre-service teachers, and evaluated the effectiveness of the program. In the first study, pre-service teachers had difficulties in programming learning. To solve this problem, programming-based instruction and curriculum analysis were supplemented by educational programs. In the second study, pre-service teachers felt difficulty in using programming in teaching-learning, thus improving instruction design and reflection. The third study enhanced the programming development environment search to supplement programming learning and utilization.

  • 비상용 예비전원설비는 정전이 되었을 경우 건축물의 기능 유지나 영업을 위해 최소한의 방재와 비상전력을 확보하기 위한 설비이다. 그러나 최근 부하운전시험으로 발전기 가동시 부하단의 콘덴서, 고조파, UPS와 같은 SCR 부하의 영향으로 발전기 전원측에서 이상전압이 발생하여 과전압이 부하에 공급되어 기기가 소손되는 사고가 빈번히 발생하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 국내의 국내 예비발전설비의 운용 현황과 발전기 보호시설 유무에 대한 실태조사를 하였고, 최근 10년간 발전기 관련 사고 사례를 조사하여 사고의 원인을 분석하였다. 또한 발전기의 부하운전시 발전전원측의 전원품질을 측정하여 향후 사고해석 SW를 이용하여 시뮬레이션 및 사고재연 실증시험을 통해 보다 정확한 사고원인 및 사고발생 대책을 제시하는데 자료로 이용 될 것이다.

Pre-service teachers' eliciting student thinking about a long division algorithm: Approximation of teaching via digital simulation (나눗셈 알고리즘에 대한 학생 사고를 예비교사가 도출하기 : 디지털 시뮬레이션을 통해 가르치는 것에 근접하기)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the possibility of digital simulation by which pre-service teachers (PSTs) can approximate the core teaching practice of eliciting student thinking. This study examined PSTs' questions to elicit student thinking, their use of "pause" session and peer feedback, and their reflections on doing a digital simulation. We analyzed a two-hour digital simulation session with 13 PSTs who enrolled in the elementary mathematics methods course. The results showed that PSTs shifted their general questions to more content-specific questions throughout the simulation and made a quick transition to comparing students' strategies. The number of lead PST-initiated "pause" ranged one to four times for various reasons. Their peer-coaches did not voluntarily "pause" the simulation session but actively shared what they noticed from the student work samples and suggested the next teaching moves. Without utilizing the pause session, the dramatic improvement of questioning was not observed. Even though the PSTs felt overwhelmed with interacting with the student-avatars in real-time, they highlighted the benefits of simulations, appreciated the opportunity to learn the core teaching practice, and viewed this digital simulation as "real" and "authentic" experience. The findings of this study provide implications for re-designing a practice-based teacher education program.

A Study of Pre-service Chemistry Teachers' Perceptions on NOS -Focusing on Boyle's Air Pump Experiment- (예비화학교사들의 과학의 본성에 대한 인식 연구 -보일의 공기 펌프 실험을 중심으로-)

  • In this study, we developed education materials using history of science related to the experiment of 'Boyle's air pump' and the Boyle and Hobbs' debate of vacuum to find out the perceptions of NOS by pre-service chemistry teachers. For the study, 29 pre-service chemistry teachers at a college of education in Chungcheongbuk-do were selected. As RFN items that were related to the contextual situation developed in this study, items in the categories of 'Aims and Values', 'Scientific practices', 'Scientific Methods among Educational Applications' and 'Social-Institutional Aspects among Educational Applications' were selected. Through the items of RFN, the perceptions of pre-service teachers in non-contextual situations were investigated. Then we presented the pre-service teachers with the situation related to Boyle's experiment on air pump and Boyle and Hobbes' debate over vacuum. In addition, their perception of NOS was examined in contextual situations related to RFN items. Responses to the items, experimental results related to Boyle's Law, group discussion, and interview data were collected as data. As a result of the study, it was found that pre-service teachers had informed perceptions in most of the items, but cases with naive views or mixed views were found in context experimental situations. This study can contribute to the NOS education for pre-service chemistry teachers by development of context situation education materials related to NOS and by finding out their perceptions in the non-contextual and contextual situation.

A Preliminary Study for Identifying Soil Management Area in Environmental Impact Assessment on Development Projects (개발사업 환경영향평가 시 토양중점관리지역 선정을 위한 예비연구)

  • In order to conserve soil functions to the highest degree in development projects, it is necessary to identify and manage specific area (so called soil management area) including soils with good or excellent functions. Therefore, in this work, we conducted a preliminary study how to identify soil management area in environmental impact assessment on development projects. To do this, quantitative evaluation was carried out on two example projects, using InVEST model considering a couple of soil functions, i.e., erosion control and carbon sequestration functions. Then, soil management area was identified through overlay analysis. The methodology developed in this study is able to be used widely for more detailed analysis with high resolution and furthermore overlay anaysis with other assessment items. For more perfect assessment, other soil fuctions needed to be taken into account into our methodology.

Effects of the Modified Casual Shoes on Foot Pressure Distribution during Walking: Pilot study (기능성 캐쥬얼화가 보행 시 족저 압력에 미치는 영향: 예비연구)

  • 본 연구는 기능성 및 일반적 캐쥬얼화간에 빠른보행과 편안한 보행 시 족저 압력에 미치는 영향을 확인하여 보고자 한다. 남성 물리치료사 8명을 대상으로 하루 간격을 두고 동일한 대상에게 일반적 캐쥬얼화와 기능성 캐쥬얼화를 착용하고 10m 편안한 보행과 빠른 보행 동안 족저 악력을 각각 측정하였다. 전체, 1번째 발가락, 2-3번째 발가락, 4-5번째 발가락, 안쪽 중족골, 바깥쪽 중족골, 안쪽 뒷꿈치, 바깥쪽 뒷꿈치로 나누어 분석하여 4 보행 조건(일반적 캐쥬얼화-편안한 보행, 기능성 캐쥬얼화-편안한 보행, 일반적 캐쥬얼화-빠른 보행, 기능성 캐쥬얼화-빠른 보행) 간에 비교하였다. 비교 분석 결과 유의하지 않지만 빠른 보행이 편안한 보행 보다 안쪽 발가락과 뒷꿈치 압력이 증가하는 것으로 볼 때, 기능성 캐주얼화가 일반적 캐쥬얼화보다 보행의 움직임성을 증가시키는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구는 기능성 신사화 착용이 즉각적인 선자세 족저압력 분포 변화에 미치는 영향을 확인하고자 하였다. 남성 물리치료사 8명을 대상으로 하루 간격을 두고 동일한 대상에게 일반적 신사화와 기능성 신사화를 착용하고 선 자세 동안 높은 족저압력의 발과 낮은 족저압력의 발간에 족저압력 분포를 비교하였다. 비교 분석 결과, 일반화를 착용한 선 자세에서 높은 족저압력의 발과 낮은 족저압력의 발간에 족저압력 비율이 유의한 차이를 보였지만 기능성 신사화에서 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 그리고 높은 족저압력 분포 발에서 기능성 및 일반적 신사화간에 전족부와 후족부의 압력이 차이를 보였다. 선 자세에서 기능성 신사화가 일반적 신사화 보다 즉각적으로 정상 생리적 자세를 유도하는 것으로 보였다.

  • 노화는 모든 사람에게 공통적으로 일어나는 자연스러운 현상이다. 그러나 이에 따른 신체적인 변화는 각 개인에 따라, 그리고 한 개인 안에서조차 각종 장기별로 다양한 속도로 진행된다. 노년기의 생리적인 변화는 예비용량(reserve capacity)의 저하에 따라 외부의 스트레스에 대처하여 항상성을 유지하는 능력이 감소되어 나타나게 된다. 안정적 상태에서 기능수준에는 큰 변화가 없으나 활동상태의 기능 수준은 연령증가에 따라 상당히 저하되는 것을 보여준다. 노년기의 생리적 변화에 따라 직병에 대한 감수성은 증가하나 대다수의 만성퇴행성질환은 특정 병리현상에 의해 발생하며 노화가 직접적인 원인으로 작용하지는 않는 것으로 알려지고 있다.

Research on pre-service teachers' perceptions of smartphones for educational use and suggestions for school policy (스마트폰의 교육적 활용에 대한 예비교사의 인식 및 학교정책 개선방안 연구)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the pre-service teacher's perception of the possibility of using smartphones in the classroom, moreover, to confirm the policy related to using smartphones in schools. For the objectives, this study, firstly, investigated the pre-service teacher's awareness of having cellphones in the classroom, secondly, analyzed the pre-service teacher's opinion of using smartphones for educational objectives and elements for those investigated objectives, finally, investigated the school policy for educational objectives of using smartphones. The participants of this study were 146 pre-service teachers among three universities in Seoul. The results showed that the pre-service teachers opposed using cellphones in the classroom. Next, it was found that most of them had smartphones and they knew how to use them effectively. For the aspects of educational use of smartphones, they recognized that smartphones could be used as a smart educational tool, an efficient teaching and learning tool, and an assistant tool for teaching and learning. In order to use smartphones for the investigated educational tools, the learning contents, the ways of teaching and learning, and the technical support of the school should be prepared. Finally, the pre-service teachers thought that the school policy should be changed in order to use smartphones for educational objectives, and the school policy with regard to using smartphones in the classroom should be decided by the teachers. Most of all, for the educational use of smartphones, the pre-service teachers believed that the change of the students' perception was the most significant.
