Purpose : The purpose of this study is to correlate the imaging findings and the clinical findings in patients with transient splenial lesions (TSL). Materials and Methods: Total of 7 patients (M: F = 4: 3; age range 11 - 38 years, mean age 25.5 years) were studied between November 2006 and April 2011. The MRI findings and clinical findings in all patients were retrospectively reviewed. The location, MR signal intensity, restricted diffusion, enhancement pattern and reversibility from the follow up images were reviewed. Clinical features were reviewed with respect to the presented symptoms, signs, treatment and outcome. Results: The lesions were located in the splenium of corpus callosum in all patients. All lesions showed high signal intensity on diffusion weighted imaging (DWI), and six patients showed restricted diffusion on the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) map. ADC map was not available in one patient. All lesions (n = 7) showed high signal intensity on the T2 weighted image (T2WI). Five of the patients (71.4%) with follow up images (range 7 - 34 days) showed complete resolution of focal high signal intensity on DWI, with recovery of ADC values as well as T2WI. After contrast media administration, none of the lesions showed any enhancements. All lesions with various etiologies including TB medication were developed in younger age patients and showed reversibility after the acceptable period of minimum 7 days with conservative treatment. Conclusion: All TSL showed nonspecific imaging findings, including restricted diffusion on DWI and ADC map on the initial images. However, reversibility of the lesions and the young age preference can be a characteristic finding of TSL with acceptable period of minimum 7 days. In addition, to keep it in mind that various etiologies including TB medication may cause TSL, is important for radiologists as well as clinicians.

Purpose Recently, with the spread of SPECT/CT, various image correction methods can be applied quickly and accurately, which enabled us to expect quantitative accuracy as well as image quality improvement. Among them, the Collimator Detector Response(CDR) recovery is a correction method aiming at resolution recovery by compensating the blurring effect generated from the distance between the detector and the object. The purpose of this study is to find out quantitative change depending on the change in detection distance in SPECT/CT images with CDR recovery applied. Materials and Methods In order to find out the error of acquisition count depending on the change of detection distance, we set the detection distance according to the obit type as X, Y axis radius 30cm for circular, X, Y axis radius 21cm, 10cm for non-circular and non-circular auto(=auto body contouring, ABC_spacing limit 1cm) and applied reconstruction methods by dividing them into Astonish(3D-OSEM with CDR recovery) and OSEM(w/o CDR recovery) to find out the difference in activity recovery depending on the use of CDR recovery. At this time, attenuation correction, scatter correction, and decay correction were applied to all images. For the quantitative evaluation, calibration scan(cylindrical phantom, $^{99m}TcO_4$ 123.3 MBq, water 9293 ml) was obtained for the purpose of calculating the calibration factor(CF). For the phantom scan, a 50 cc syringe was filled with 31 ml of water and a phantom image was obtained by setting $^{99m}TcO_4$ 123.3 MBq. We set the VOI(volume of interest) in the entire volume of the syringe in the phantom image to measure total counts for each condition and obtained the error of the measured value against true value set by setting CF to check the quantitative accuracy according to the correction. Results The calculated CF was 154.28 (Bq/ml/cps/ml) and the measured values against true values in each conditional image were analyzed to be circular 87.5%, non-circular 90.1%, ABC 91.3% and circular 93.6%, non-circular 93.6%, ABC 93.9% in OSEM and Astonish, respectively. The closer the detection distance, the higher the accuracy of OSEM, and Astonish showed almost similar values regardless of distance. The error was the largest in the OSEM circular(-13.5%) and the smallest in the Astonish ABC(-6.1%). Conclusion SPECT/CT images showed that when the distance compensation is made through the application of CDR recovery, the detection distance shows almost the same quantitative accuracy as the proximity detection even under the distant condition, and accurate correction is possible without being affected by the change in detection distance.
The incidence of rotator cuff tear is increasing rapidly due to the aging of the population and the advancement of radiological diagnosis, and so on. Recently, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair is common way of surgery, and the surgical outcome is comparable to open rotator cuff repair. Arthroscopic repair is one of the minimally invasive procedures itself and may have additional benefits of postoperative pain reduction and early functional recovery. Recently, there has been increasing interest in various methods for improving the functional recovery of patients after arthroscopic shoulder surgery. Various protocols of functional recovery after arthroscopic shoulder surgery are classified by the postoperative period, and they are being studied actively and improved at each stage. On the other hand, there are a range of methods according to the postoperative period, rehabilitation stage, characteristics of individual patients, degree of rotator cuff tear, and underlying disease. Therefore, for functional recovery after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, it is essential to establish proper regimens for functional recovery.
The binomial sequences are family of orthogonal sequences that can be generated with remarkable simplicity-no multiplications are necessary. This paper introduces a class of non-recursive multidimensional filters for frequency-selective image processing without multiplication operations. The magnitude responses are narrow-band. approximately gaussian-shaped with center frequencies which can be positioned to yield low-pass. band-pass. or high-pass filtering. Algorithms for the efficient implementation of these filters in software or in hardware are described. Also. we show that the binomial QMFs are the maximally flat magnitude square Perfect Reconstruction paraunitary filters with good compression capability and these are shown to be wavelet filters as well. In wavelet transform the original image is decomposed at different scales using a pyramidal algorithm architecture. The decomposition is along the vertical and horizontal direction and maintains constant the number of pixels required to describe the images. An efficient perfect reconstruction binomial QMF-Wavelet signal decomposition structure is proposed. The technique provides a set of filter solutions with very good amplitude responses and band split. The proposed binomial QMF-filter structure is efficient, simple to implement on VLSl. and suitable for multi-resolution signal decomposition and coding applications.

Multi-view video including depth image is necessary to develop a new compression encoding technique for storage and transmission, because of a huge amount of data. Layered depth image is an efficient representation method of multi-view video data. This method makes a data structure that is synthesis of multi-view color and depth image. This efficient method to compress new contents is suggested to use layered depth image representation and to apply for video compression encoding by using 3D warping. This paper proposed enhanced compression method using layered depth image representation and H.264/AVC video coding technology. In experimental results, we confirmed high compression performance and good quality of reconstructed image.

Reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (RCVS) is a clinical and radiological syndrome with primary features that include hyperacute onset of severe headache and segmental vasoconstriction of the cerebral arteries, which resolve within 3 months. Vessel wall enhancement has been reported in some cases of RCVS; however, its pathophysiological and diagnostic implications remain unclear. We review a case of RCVS in a patient with transient vessel wall enhancement on contrast-enhanced fluid-attenuated inversion recovery images, focusing on the pathophysiological and diagnostic implications.
Monitoring of post wildfire provides important information for vegetation restoration. In particular, remote sensing data are known to provide useful information necessary for monitoring. However, there are insufficient research results which is monitoring the vegetation recovery using remote sensing data. This study is directed to monitoring post-wildfire vegetation restoration. It proposes a method for monitoring vegetation restoration using Sentinel-2 satellite data by compositing Tasseled Cap linear regression trend in a post wildfire study sites. Although it is a simple visualization technique using satellite images, it was able to confirm the possibility of effective monitoring.
It is not too much to say that invention of image divided the 19th and 20th century. Rapidly developed, produced and played images have a stronger effect on human beings and society. Today, images have an influence on forming interpersonal relationships by means of consciousness and ideas of new dimension, creating new image relationship different from verbal relationship between people. Especially moving image(image) is unlike other images, an image has unique psychological characteristics of its on. An image stimulates all the five human senses as well as sight, is easer to access and perceive than other media, and unable to control image development passively in general but get absorbed unconsciously very quickly. On 21th century As we are exposed to image whether consciously or unconsciously everyday, consideration on current times driving human beings and social relationship in an abnormal way is needed. Furthermore, new view of image study suggest to new relation of image that is a key factor to recover humanity and functions of society.
