슬라이딩모드 관측기를 이용한 영구자석 선형 동기전동기의 센서리스 위치제어 (Sensorless Position Control of a PM Linear Synchronous Motor by Sliding Mode)

  • This paper presents the implementation of a positon sensorless vector control system of a PM linear synchronous motor by sliding mode observer based on TMS320F240 DSP controller. Sliding mode observer estimates the secondary velocity and position based on the measurement of current, and it shows very robust characteristic to parameter variation. Therefore, it improves the system performance deterioration caused by system parameter variations. Simulation and experimental considerations are presented to confirm the applicability of sliding mode observer to the sensorless position control of PMLSM.

  • This paper deals with dynamic analysis method of a slotless type permanent magnet linear synchronous motor(PMLSM) using 3-dimensional space harmonic method. The results are good agreement with FEA results because that slotless type PMLSM has simple structure and no saturation of core. And then, Under open-loop control, starting characteristic is analyzed by voltage equation combining with dynamic equation. In order to obtain more accuracy results, this paper use instantaneous back-EMF and thrust instead of back-EMF constant and thrust constant.

  • Recently Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motors(PMLSMs) are widely used for many linear transportation applications. The PMLSM has many advantages such as simple structure, high speed and thrust. However, especially in short primary type PMLSM, there exists very large detent force, which makes the thrust force ripple, undesired vibration and noise. The detent force is composed of the Cogging force and the End force. The Cogging force comes from the interaction between the permanent magnets and interior teeth of the stator. And the End force acts on the exterior teeth of the stator by the permanent magnets. Usually End force is larger than Cogging force, so the detent force is drasically reduced only by reducing the End force. This paper shows the End force is minimized by optimizing the stator length and chamfering the shape of the exterior teeth of the stator.

  • This paper describes the initial angle adjustment method on Hall Sensorless Linear Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor The implementation of the controller is designed on the DSP TMS320C32 board. PMLSM is operated by using 4-point absolute positions profile with each velocity, acceleration and deceleration. To achieve Hall Sensorless characteristics, Moving Coil Type PMLSM is used and initial angle adjustment algorithm is adapted.

  • This paper is presents dynamic analysis of slotless PM linear synchronous motor using 3-D analytical method and improvement of controllability using PI control system. In oredr to calculate dynamic characteristic, back-EMF waveform and inductance are caculated by PM's magnetic field and winding's magnetic filed respectively. PMLSM simulated by PI control system.

  • This paper presents the characteristic analysis method of PMLSM based on the Space Harmonic Analysis method considering the effect of stator slots. The magnetic field for unslotted primary can be easily calculated by the conventional space harmonic analysis method and the resultant magnetic field including slot effect is obtained using the concept of the virtual Equivalent Magnetizing Current(EMC) on primary core. And the influence of space harmonics in airgap flux density and static thrust due to slots is evaluated. In this paper, the results of the analytical method are compared with not only the experimental ones but ones of FEM to verify the validity of the proposed method.

  • Tuning of the speed controller in the linear servo applications needs the accurate information of a mover mass including a load mass. Therefore this paper proposes the mass estimation method of a permanent magnet linear synchronous motor(PMLSM) applied at the vertical axis by using the recursive Least-Squares estimation algorithm. First, this paper derives the deterministic autoregressive moving average(DARMA) model of the mechanical dynamic system used at the vertical axis. Results obtained by the Matlab/Simulink simulation show that the mass of a PMLSM applied at the vertical axis can be accurately estimated both at no-load and at load.

  • The detent force caused by the interaction of magnets with the teeth of a armature core deteriorates the driving performance of a permanent magnet linear synchronous motor. In this paper, we analyze the fields and forces of a linear synchronous motor with segmented or skewed magnet arrangement according to lateral overhang length of permanent magnets. For the analysis, the 3-dimensional equivalent magnetic circuit network method is used. The detent force and the static thrust are analyzed according to the segmented or skewed angle and the overhang length of permanent magnets, and the optimal angles that the detent force is minimized are found out in each case. The analysis results are compared with the experimental ones and shown a reasonable agreement.

  • This paper deals with the optimal design of a slotless type of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM). Response surface methodology, one of the optimization methods, is used to consider multiple response of the PMLSM. That is, it is applied to obtain more average thrust and less thrust ripple than prototype PMLSM. To analyze quickly, characteristic analysis of the PMLSM is performed by space harmonic method and final results of optimized PMLSM are compare with those of prototype PMLSM through finite element analysis.

  • This paper deals with an automatic tuning method of the notch filter to suppress oscillations in a permanent magnet linear synchronous motor(PMLSM) drive. First, it saves automatically the reference torque-component current when oscillations are detected. Then the oscillation frequency of the saved data is calculated by using the fast Fourier transform(FFT) algorithm. And also the Hanning function is used to reduce the leakage components due to the aperiodic measurement data. Finally, the proposed method tunes the notch filter to suppress oscillations. Experimental results on the test rig show the validity of the proposed method.
