A Study on the MDTF for Uncooled Infrared Ray Thermal Image Sensors with High Thermal Coefficient of Resistance (높은 열저항 계수를 가지는 비냉각형 적외선 열영상 이미지 센서용 MDTF(Metal-dielectric Thin Film)에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, fabricated by MEMS uncooled micro-bolometer detector for the study in the infrared sensitivity enhancement. Absorption layer SiOx-Metal series MDTF (metal-dielectric thin film) by high absorption rate and has a high thermal coefficient of resistance, low noise characteristics were implemented. Then MDTF were made in a vacuum deposition method. And MDTF for the analysis of the physical properties of silicon wafers were fabricated, TCR (temperature coefficient of resistance) value was made in order to measure the glass wafer and FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy) values were made in order to measure the germanium window. The analyzed results of MDTF -3 [%/K] has more characteristics of the TCR. And 8~12 um wavelength region close to 70% in the absorption characteristic.

  • 전력사용량이 산업발전과 더불어 기하급수적으로 증가하고 있으며, 한정된 공간내에서 대용량의 전력설비를 설치하기 위해 폐쇄형 배전반이 운영되고 있다. 한국전기안전공사에서 발표한 통계자료에 의하면, 고압이상 전기설비 검사결과 절연내력이 불합격인 경우가 다수 발생하고 있으며, 이는 아크 플래시 사고의 원인이다. 특히 수배전반의 경우 부하설비 또는 외부의 영향을 확인할 수 있는 장치 및 보호설비가 설치되어 있으나 자체 안전장치가 마련되어 있지 않아 자체사고를 신속히 검출하고 판단할 수 있는 기술이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 해상도가 낮은 저가의 열화상 센서에 고속 DSP를 사용하여 영상처리 기법인 이차원 보간 법으로 해상도를 올려서 사용하는 기술을 이용하여 아크에 의해 발생되는 열특성을 검출하고 검출된 데이터를 전송하여 전기화재사고를 미연에 방지할 수 있는 장치 개발을 위한 기초 특성조사를 실시하였다.

  • Thermal infrared camera have poor image qualities compared to commercial CCD cameras, as in contrast, brightness, and. resolution. To compensate the poor Image quality problems associated with the thermal infrared camera, the technique of superimposing thermal infrared image into real ccd image is proposed. The mobile robot KAEROT/m2, loaded with sensor head system at the mast, is entered to monitor leakage of heavy water and thermal abnormality of the calandria reactor area in overhaul period. The sensor head system is composed of thermal infrared camera and cod camera In parallel. When thermal abnormality on observation points and areas of calandria reactor area is occurred, unusual hot image taken from thermal infrared camera is superimposed on real CCD image. In this inspection experiment, more accurate positions of thermal abnormalities on calandria reactor area can be estimated by using technique of mapping thermal infrared image into CCD image, which include characters arranged in MPOQ order.

Relationship Analysis between Topographic Factors and Land Surface Temperature from Landsat 7 ETM+ Imagery (Landsat 7 ETM+ 영상에서 얻은 지표온도와 지형인자의 상관성 분석)

  • Because the satellite imagery can detect the radiative heat from the surface using the thermal IR (TIR) channel, there have been many efforts to verify the relationship between the land surface temperature (LST) and urban heat island. However, the relationship between geomorphological characteristics like surface aspects and LST is relatively less studied. Therefore, the geomorphological elements, for example, surface aspects and surface slopes, are considered to evaluate their effects on the change of the surface temperature distribution using the Landsat 7 ETM+ TIR channel and the possibility of the image to detect anthropogenic heat from the surface. We found that the surface aspect is ignorable but the surface slope with the sun elevation influences on the surface temperature distribution. Also, the radiative heat from the surface to the atmosphere could not be accurately recorded by the satellite image due to the surface slope but the slope correction process used in this study could correct the surface temperature under slope condition and the slope correction, in fact, was not influenced on the average temperature of the surface. The possibility of the anthropogenic heat detection from the surface from the satellite imagery was verified as well.

Difference in canopy and air temperature as an indicator of crop water stress and its feasibility for irrigation scheduling (작물 캐노피 온도와 대기온도간의 상관관계 분석 및 활용 연구)

  • 작물의 체온인 엽온은 작물의 증발산량 또는 작물의 스트레스와 관련이 있으며, 일반적으로 일사, 풍속, 습도 등 기상조건과 잎의 크기, 형태 등 생리작용 등에 의해 지배된다. 엽온을 작물의 수분스트레스지수, 증발산량 등을 산정하기 위한 인자로 많이 활용되고 있으며, 최근 ICT 기술의 발달로 인해 열영상 카메라, 적외선 센서 등을 활용해서 실시간 측정을 하고, 정보를 작물 생육환경 제어에 활용하는 연구들이 많이 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 시설오이를 대상으로 캐노피 온도(Canopy temperature, $T_c$)와 대기온도(Air temperature, $T_a$)간의 상관관계, 또 ($T_c-T_a$)와 포화수증기압차(Vapor pressure deficit, VPD)와의 관계를 분석하였다. 대기온도와 상대습도를 이용하여 산정된 VPD가 엽온에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 엽온 증가에 따라 VPD가 증가하였으며, 캐노피와 대기온도간의 차이 또한 VPD간에 음의 상관관계($R^2=0.82{\sim}0.89$)가 나타났는데, 이는 대기온도에 따른 엽온과 포화수증기압의 상승이 원인인 것으로 나타났다. ($T_c-T_a$)와 VPD값을 이용하면 작물 수분스트레스(Crop Water Stress Index, CWSI)를 산정할 수 있는 데, 결과값을 분석한 결과 $T_c$$T_a$의 차가 적은 경우 CWSI값이 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 향후 연구에서는 추가적으로 다양한 재배환경에서의 캐노피 온도, 포화수증기압차, 그리고 CWSI를 산정하여, 적정 생육 환경조성을 위한 지표로 활용할 계획이다.

  • The cost of deploying Geological and Environmental information gathering systems, especially when such systems obtain remote sensing and photographic data through the use of commercial satellites and aircraft. Besides the high cost equipment required, adverse weather conditions can further restrict a researcher's ability to collect data anywhere and anytime. To mitigate this problem, we have developed a compact, multi-spectral automatic Aerial photographic system. This system's Multi-spectral camera is capable of the visible (RGB) and infrared (NIR) bands (3032*2008 pixel). It consists of a thermal infrared camera and automatic balance control, and can be managed by a palm-top computer. Other features includes a camera gimbal system, GPS receiver, weather sensor among others. We have evaluated the efficiency of this system in several field tests at the following locations: Kyongsang-bukdo beach, Nakdong river (at each site of mulkeum-namji and koryung-gumi), and Kyungahn River. Its tested ability in aerial photography, weather data, as well as GPS data acquisition demonstrates its flexibility as a tool for environmental data monitoring.

  • 한국천문연구원은 천문우주분야의 과학임무 탑재체 개발을 주도적으로 수행해오고 있다. 과학기술위성1호 주탑재체 원자외선영상분광기 FIMS 개발, 과학기술위성3호 주탑재체 다목적적외선영상시스템 MIRIS 개발, 차세대소 형위성1호 주탑재체 근적외선영상분광기 NISS 개발을 수행하였고, 현재는 NASA와 국제협력으로 SPHEREx 우주 망원경을 개발하고 있다. 이러한 개발 과정을 거치면서 주경 20cm 이하의 소형 탑재체 과학임무 한계와 더불어 연구 현장에서 더 큰 우주망원경의 수요가 제기되었고, 현재의 국가우주개발 중장기계획에도 2030년대 한국형 우주망원경을 포함하게 되었다. 이러한 일정에 발맞추어 한국천문연구원은 2030년대 한국형 우주망원경 독자 운영을 대비하기 위해서 2020년 1월부터 주요 사업으로 한국형 우주망원경 개발을 위한 기획연구를 시작하였다. 이 기획연구는 2021년 말까지 2년 동안 수행하고 있으며, 이 기획연구를 통해서 학계의 과학임무 요구사항을 종합 수렴하였고, 관련 컨설팅 업체와 협업하여 사전 기획연구 활동들을 수행하였으며, 향후 우주망원경 개발에 대한 전략을 제안하고 보고서를 마무리하는 단계에 와 있다. 이 발표에서는 이러한 기획연구의 세부 활동을 공유하고 보고하고자 한다.

An Analysis Method on Injury Symptoms Utilizing Infrared Thermal Imaging under the Freezing Stress of Hedera helix L. (헤데라 헬릭스 식물의 적외선 열영상에 의한 저온 및 한풍피해에 관한 연구)

  • The experiments, which analyze the injury symptoms and diagnose growth conditions utilizing IRVT and analyzing each parts of H. helix L., had been held under a low temperature. Greenhouse and outdoor growing Genus hedera had been prepared and compared with each Genus hedera's peak and bottom leaves' surface temperature under the experimental categories $-6^{\circ}C$ and $-12^{\circ}C$. As results, analyzing the surface thermal property of peak part leaves' of outdoor growing Genus hedera, at experimental categories $-6^{\circ}C$, $-12^{\circ}C$ were ranged from $-2^{\circ}C{\sim}-7^{\circ}C$ and $-2^{\circ}C{\sim}-15^{\circ}C$. On the other hand, the surface thermal property of bottom part leaves at experimental categories $-6^{\circ}C$, $-12^{\circ}C$ were ranged $-2^{\circ}C{\sim}-11^{\circ}C$ and $-1^{\circ}C{\sim}-12^{\circ}C$. It appears that the thermal properties of leaves' surface on $-6^{\circ}C$ peaks and $-12^{\circ}C$ bottoms were more broadband than bottoms and peaks. It means that the peaks were more sensitive than bottoms, as like $-2^{\circ}C{\sim}-15^{\circ}C$, $-1{\sim}-12^{\circ}C$. Moreover, as similar results had seen to leaves surface temperature added to cold wind conditions. How the cold wind damaged the outdoor growing Genus hedera, analyzed the surface thermal property by IRVT data under $0^{\circ}C$, $-2^{\circ}C$, $-4^{\circ}C$ condition, it resulted to $-6.2^{\circ}C$, $-6.8^{\circ}C$, $-7.5^{\circ}C$. It appeared more $3.5{\sim}6.2^{\circ}C$ low temperature than experimental setting point. In addition, each parts thurmal property of peaks and bottoms was not similar, it referred to each parts' sensitivities of low temperature were different on the peak and bottom leaves surface temperature.

Gunnery Classification Method Using Profile Feature Extraction in Infrared Images (적외선 영상에서의 시계열 특징 추출을 이용한 Gunnery 분류 기법 연구)

  • Gunnery has been used to detect and classify artilleries. In this paper, we used electro-optical data to get the information of muzzle flash from the artilleries. Feature based approach was applied; we first defined features and sub-features. The number of sub-features was 38~40 generic sub-features, and 2 model-based sub-features. To classify multiclass data, we introduced tree structure with clustering the classes according to the similarity of them. SVM was used for each non-leaf nodes in the tree, as a sub-classifier. From the data, we extracted features and sub-features and classified them by the tree structure SVM classifier. The results showed that the performance of our classifier was good for our muzzle flash classification problem.

A Study on Monitoring the Land Surface Temperature Changes Caused by Constructions of Rainwater Villages Using the Multi-temporal Landsat-8 Satellite Images (다중시기 Landsat-8 위성영상을 활용한 빗물마을 조성 사업에 의한 지표면 온도 변화 모니터링에 관한 연구)

  • Monitoring the urban environmental changes caused by the urban regeneration project is necessary for evaluating the effect of the various types of urban regeneration projects that have been carried out in Seoul, South Korea. However, there is few available data and professional expert for evaluating the effect of these urban regeneration projects. This research evaluated the effect of the construction of rainwater village in Jangwi-dong area, constructed through the Seoul urban regeneration project, by utilizing the land surface temperatures derived from the multi-temporal Landsat-8 satellite images through the following steps. In the first step, the land surface temperature images were generated using the multispectral bands of the Landsat-8 satellite images. In the final step, the effect of constructing the rainwater villages was assessed by calculating the seasonal LST statistics for Jangwi-dong area, its neighbor area and entire Seoul area. The experimental results led the following conclusion: the construction of rainwater villages did not have the significant effect on the land surface temperature changes in Jangwi-dong area.
