염색폐수를 이용한 고온수 히트펌프 시스템 타당성 연구 (The Study of Validity on the High Temperature Heat Pump System using Dyeing Wastewater)

  • The purposes of this work were suggested and validated the methods of heat recovery from dyeing wastewater exhausted in Sihwa and Banwol dyeing industrial park. We analyzed the present conditions of heat supplies and demands. So it was made a selection of the system combined heat exchanger for waste heat recovery and the high temperature heat pump. We decided the specifications of the heat recovery facilities. After this, economical assessment is performed to this system. The payback periods are within 4 years, 20 years and 5 years in case of K company, S company and A company. In addition, when they are produced the heat of same capacity, quantities of pollutants from used fuels were calculated.

  • This paper presents the performance of a water-to-refrigerant type ground source heat pump (GSHP) system installed in a school building in Korea. For analyzing the performance of the GSHP system, we monitored various operating conditions, including the outdoor temperature, the ground temperature, and the input power of the GSHP system. The average cooling coefficient of performance (COP) of the heat pump was found to be 8.5 at 60% partial load condition, while the overall system COP was found to be 5.9. The average heating COP of the heat pump was found to be 6.5 at 45% partial load condition, while the overall system COP was found to be 5.0.

지하수 열원 복수정 지열 열펌프 시스템의 성능에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of Ground Water Source Two Well Type Geothermal Heat Pump System)

  • Ground water source heat pump system is the oldest one of the ground source heat pump systems. Despite of this, little formal design information has been available until recently. The important design parameters for open system are the identification of optimum ground water flow, heat exchanger selection and well pump. In this study, the capacity of 50 RT system of two well type ground water heat pump system was used. As a result, static water level was -7 m and the level during the heating operation was -32 m, cooling operation was -40 m. The initial static water level recovered within 48 hrs. The temperature of ground water is $15.6^{\circ}C$ for heating season and $16.2^{\circ}C$ for cooling season and does not depend on the outdoor temperature. Operation efficiency of the system shows that, COP 3.1 for heating and COP 4.2 for cooling.

  • A preliminary performance test of a 30RT 2-stage screw heat pump was carried out in order to develop a high performance large-scale unutilized energy source heat pump system, which will be used for district heating and cooling. In this study, two issues of the system operating control were investigated. The first issue is the mode switching control from 1-stage to 2-stage. A stable 2-stage heating operation is guaranteed, only if the load-side water inlet temperature is over a certain value, where the 1-stage heating operation should be done first from a cold start. The second issue is oil level control. An oil shortage problem in the low stage compressor, which depends on the degree of suction superheat, was solved by a proper oil level control scheme.

  • Energy foundations and other thermo-active ground structure, energy wells, energy slab, and pavement heating and cooling represent an innovative technology that contributes to environmental protection and provides substantial long-term cost savings and minimized maintenance. This paper focuses on earth-contact concrete elements that are already required for structural reasons, but which simultaneously work as heat exchangers. Pipes, energy slabs, filled with a heat carrier fluid are installed under conventional structural elements, forming the primary circuit of a geothermal energy system. The natural ground temperature is used as a heat source in winter and heat sink in summer season. The system represented very high heating and cooling performance due to the stability of EWT from energy slab. Maximum heat pump unit COP and system COP were 4.9 and 4.3.

인버터 열펌프의 주파수 및 모세관 길이 변화에 따른 시스템 성능특성의 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on the performance of inverter heat pump with a variation of frequency and capillary size)

  • An experiment study was performed to investigate the optimum cycle of an inverter heat pump as a function of frequency. The performance of the inverter heat pump with the rated cooling capacity of 4141W(3550kcal/h) was measured with a variation of frequency, indoor and outdoor temperature, and length of capillary tube in the psychrometric test room. As a base case, the inverter heat pump with the standard capillary length of 1000mm which was optimum size for the frequency of 60Hz and ARHRAE Test condition A was tested by varying frequency from 30Hz to 80Hz. Then, the optimum cycle was invesigated by varying the length of capillary tube at each frequency levels of 30, 60 and 80Hz. Based on the experimental data, the change of system characteristics between the optimum and the base case were analyzed for each selected frequency levels. Generally, for low frequency level(30Hz), the longer length of the capillary tube compared with the standard size showed the higher EER, while for high frequency level(80Hz) the shorter length of the capillary tube showed the higher EER.

  • Identification of steady-state is the first step in developing a fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) system. In a complete FDD system, the steady-state detector will be included as a module in a self-learning algorithm which enables the working system's reference model to "tune" itself to its particular installation. In this study, a steady-state detector of a residential air conditioner based on moving windows was designed. Seven representing measurements were selected as key features for steady-state detection. The optimized moving window size and the feature thresholds was suggested through startup transient test and no-fault steady-state test. Performance of the steady-state detector was verified during indoor load change test. From the research, the general methodology to design a moving window steady-state detector was provided for vapor compression applications.

  • Recent year, mean energy consumptions of a people are higher than other country. And international oil price became over 120 dollar. This energy environment as well as energy war. Maybe, the Meteorological Administration is going to enforce scorching heatwave special report system from that come summer. Besides, 2008 summer, maximum demand power is expected by 64,240,000kW. The electric power equipment reserve rate appeared in to keep 12.5% level. Chilled water storage system witch is one of electric load administration system. Heat pump system used cooling tower heat recovery is advantage that use is possible to summer in small a public bath building. In this paper, we suggest that heat pump system by heat recovery using cooling tower when it is heating operation of ambient air temperature. To apply cooling tower heat recovery heat pump to chilled water heat storage type and achieved performance evaluation about operation. As a result, performance of heat pump system that about 121% in cooling mode, 138% in heating mode higher than KEPCO standard. And heating operation possible to ambient air temperature about $23^{\circ}C$, which of appear cooling tower outlet temperature about $13^{\circ}C$.

  • Geothermal heat pump system has been spotlighted as an efficient building energy system, because it has great potentials for reducing energy in building air conditioning and reducing $CO_2$ emissions. However, higher initial cost is a barrier to the promotion of its use. Energy-pile and energy-slab are known as low cost ground heat exchangers comparing with conventional ground heat exchangers, because they utilize building structures as ground heat exchangers. This paper presents the daily cooling performance of a geothermal heat pump system with energy-pile and energy-slab. The energy-piles and the energy-slabs are connected to heat pump units in parallel. The cooling capacity of the system was nearly constant due to the stability of the ground heat exchangers. The stability of the energy-pile was a little higher than that of the energy-stab as a heat sink.

하천수 열원 열펌프 시스템의 성능 특성 및 경제성 평가 (Performance Characteristics and Economic Assessment of a River Water: Source Heat Pump System)

  • The objectives of this study are to analyze the performance of a river water-source heat pump and to carry out economic assessment for the heat pump. The COP of the river water-source heat pump was 3-21% higher than that of the air-source heat pump because river water provides stable operating temperature compared with air temperature throughout the year. The economic analysis was carried out by comparing the initial and operating cost of the river water-source heat pump with those of the conventional air-source heat pump. The ratio of the life cycle operating cost to the life cycle cost increased with the increase of building capacity. The payback period was found to be less than 3.5 years when the capacity of the river water-source heat pump was larger than 10 RT.
